Low-noise VLSI Implementation of Pipelined IIR Filters (파이프라인된 IIR 필터의 저잡음 VLSI구현)

  • Scattered look-ahead pipelining method can be efficiently used for high sample rate or low-power applications of digital recursive filters. Although the pipelined filters are guaranteed to be stable by this method, these filters suffer from large round off noise when the poles are crowed within some critical regions. To avoid this problem, a low-noise implementation technique was proposed using constrained Remez exchange algorithm. By the constrained filter design approach, the desired filter spectrum is satisfied while some of the pole angles are constrained to avoid pole crowding within critical regions. In the proposed approach, to obtain improved spectrum characteristics or better round off noise properties, the radius of the angle-constrained pole is optimized depending on the direction of the pole movement.

  • ARM CORE용 칩으로 철도 종합 제어 부분에 이용될 수 있는 main processor 부분을 설계하고, JTAG 기술을 이용하여 그 안정성과 틸팅 기술에 이용될 수 있는 process를 사전 단계에서 bebugging 해보고, 이에 따른 신호 및 성능을 JTAG(Boundary Scan)을 이용하여 시스템의 신호와 파형을 시험 평가한다. 또한 예비 단계로의 JTAG 검증 가능성 여부를 알아보고자 한다. 철도 종합 제어 시스템의 신호 및 정확성을 측정해 보기 위한 선행 연구라 할 수 있다.

Reductive Degradation of 4-Chlorophenol Compound by Nickel-Coated Zero Valent Iron (니켈로 코팅된 염가금속을 이용한 4-염화페놀의 환원제거율 평가)

  • Reductive dechlorination of chlorophenols by nickel coated iron was investigated to understand the feasibility of using Ni/Fe for the in situ remediation of contaminated groundwater. Zero valent iron (ZVI) was amended with Ni(II) ions to form bimetal (Ni/Fe). Dechlorination of 4-chlorophenol and formation of intermediates was studied using Ni/Fe. Effects of initial contaminant concentration, bimetal loading, presence of humic acid, and solution chemistry were also evaluated. Experimental results showed that Ni/Fe bimetal was so effective that more than 95% of 4-CP degradation was achieved within 240 minutes. Pseudo first-order rate constant for the dechlorination reaction was well correlated with bimetal loading. Humic acid competed for the reactive sites on the nickel coated iron with chlorophenols, lowering the dechlorination efficiency. No significant changes in solution pH were observed in the dechlorination of chlorophenols with Ni/Fe in the absence of buffer, indicating that reactivity of bimetal (Ni/Fe) could be prolonged. Phenol was found as a dechlorination intermediate of the conversion of 4-chlorophenol compound by Ni/Fe.

  • 국내에서 생산되고 있는 화재감지기는 설치 환경, 위치, 전기적 및 기계적인 요인에 따라 그 성능의 신뢰성이 차이를 나타내고 있다. 본 연구는 국내에서 제조되고 있는 국내 화재감지기 성능 신뢰성 제고를 위한 방안을 제시하고자 열감지기, 연기감지기, 불꽃감지기 등의 성능시험 관한 각 기관별 주요 내용과 차이점을 비교 검토하였다. 이를 위해 국가시험기관의 27종, 방재시험연구원 46종류, 국제 표준화기구 36종류를 대상으로 한바 다양한 환경에서 적응하고 신뢰성 향상에 비중이 많았다. 감지기에서 발생하는 비화재보, 감지지연 및 기타 원인 불명등과 시험기준의 상호관계를 확인하는 연구가 선행되어야 한다.

Automatic Generation and 3D Draping Of the Skirt 3D Models (스커트 3D 모델의 자동 생성과 3D 드래핑)

  • This paper proposes an automatic method for generating and 3D draping the skirt 3D models. The method constructs a 3D basic model of the skirts using elliptic cylinder and generates the various skirt 3D models by controlling the ellipses of the basic model. B-Spline approximates the wrinkles around the ellipse for the various 3D draping changing according to designs and textiles. We make some real skirts and investigate appearances for their drapes. This paper simulates their appearances and obtains good results. Furthermore, adaptation of the skirt 3D model to a personal character implements realistic coordination of the various skirts.

Development and Verification of the System for Heart Rate Detection During Exercise (운동 중 심박수 검출 시스템 개발 및 검증)

  • The aim of this paper is to develop and verify the system which can detect heart rate during exercise by using conductive fabric electrode and transportable measurement module. The experiment was performed under 4 conditions(resting, walking, jogging, running) and 18 subjects data are used. By using the ECG measurement system used in cardiac stress testing as reference value in order to verify the accuracy of the developed system, the relative error and correlation coefficient was calculated for each subject at every 3 seconds. The results have shown that the high correlation between the developed system and the reference system for detecting heart rate during exercise. Relative error and correlation coefficient are 2.27% and 0.9877, respectively. 7 subjects data are omitted in these calculations because of severe noises. Therefore, it is expected that this system could be used as a health monitoring system in ubiquitous environment in the future.

A Study on Appraisal for School Oral Health Education (국민학교 학동을 대상으로 한 직접 및 간접 구강보건교육의 효과평가에 관한 조사연구)

  • The authors have examimed 349 primary school children with questionare in order to appraise the oral health educational levels, one month later after performing oral health education as direct education and indirect education with video film, and compared the data from 350 uneducated children. The obtained results were as followings ; 1. It was estimated that the direct and indirect oral health education for school children were effective for in creasing the knowledge levels of oral health. 2. It was revealed that such items of oral health education as preventive measure for caries, tooth brushing method, etiology of dental caries and etiology of malocclusion were more effective for increasing the knowledge levels, compared to uneducated group. 3. Tooth Brushing Method should be educated in practical, not only to school children but also school teachers. 4. It should be established the goals and items for oral health education in practical as national level.

  • 긍/부정 선택 실험에서 나타나는 뇌파 변화를 연구하였다. 서로 다른 위치에서 측정된 뇌파의 시공간적 상호관계를 정량화하는 변수로, 시간영역에서 계산하기 용이한 동기율(synchronization rate), 편향성(synchronization rate), 편향성(polarity), 상호상관(cross-correlation) 등의 변수를 도입하여, 긍/부정 선택 순간의 뇌파 변화를 살펴보았다. 좌우 전전두엽(Fp1, Fp2)에서 특정된 뇌파를 사용하여 계산한 동기율, 편향성의 평균과 요동폭, 상호상관 등은, 선택 순간 근처에서, 평상시에 뇌파와 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였다.

  • IEC61131-3 is the standard of control languages in which special purpose controllers and motion controllers such as PLC can be programmed. IL(Instruction List), one of the standard languages, is in assembly level but has some high-level features. This paper describes a formal semantics of IL in operational style. Previous works on IL semantics do not include functions and function blocks, which is not so practical. We define IL semantics including functions and function blocks.
