  • In this paper, it was proposed to develop front and rear image monitoring system for vehicle that help a driver to cope with urgent situation about a dangerous element. When parking a vehicle, the risk factors to be formed by the dead zone can be resolved by using anterior and posterior cameras of the vehicle. In embedded system environment, a SoC(System on Chip) and two high-resolution CMOS (Complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor) image sensors were used to transfer two high-resolution image data through he TCP/ IP-based network. To transfer image data through he TCP/ IP-based network, the images received by two cameras were compressed by using H.264 and they were transmitted with wireless method(Wi-Fi) by using real-time transport protocol (Real-time Transport Protocol). Transmission loss, transmission delay and transmission limit were solved in wireless (Wi-Fi) environment and the bit-rate of two image data compressed by H.264 was adjusted. And the system for the optimal transmission in wireless (Wi-Fi) environment was materialized and experimented.

  • The relationship between chemical structures and biological activities is researched briskly in the area of 'Medicinal Chemistry' At the base of these structure-based drug design tries, medicinal chemists search the existing drugs of similar chemical structure to target drug for the development of a new drug. Therefore, it is such necessary that an automatic system selects drug files that have a set of chemical moieties matching a user-defined query moiety. Substructure searching is the process of identifying a set of chemical moieties that match a specific query moiety. Testing for substructure searching was developed in the late 1950s. In graph theoretical terms, this problem corresponds to determining which graphs in a set are subgraph isomorphic to a specified query moiety. Testing for subgraph isomorphism has been proved, in the general case, to be an NP- complete problem. For the purpose of overcoming this difficulty, there were computational approaches. On the 1990s, a US patent has been granted on an atom-centered indexing scheme, used by the RS3 system; this has the virtue that the indexes generated can be searched by direct text comparison. This system is commercially used(http://www.acelrys.com/rs3). We define the RS3 system's drawback and present a new indexing scheme. The RS3 system treats substructure searching with substring matching by means of expressing chemical structure aspredefined strings. However, it has insufficient 'rerall' and 'precision‘ because it is impossible to index structures uniquely for same atom and same bond. To resolve this problem, we make the minimum-cost- spanning tree for one centered atom and describe a structure with paths per levels. Expressing 2D chemical structure into 1D a string has limit. Therefore, we break 2D chemical structure into 1D structure fragments. We present in this paper a new index technique to improve recall and precision surprisingly.

  • Red tide occurred sporadically in early 90s. But It is happening extensively by global warming. So, Airline observation, Red tide buoy development, and Red tide alarm system research is progressing for monitor ring. However, study to early forecast red tide and red tide alarm system did not exist hard. This paper proposed development that design and implementation red tide database of using wireless sensor network. There are GPS, Water Temperature sensor, Oxygen sensor, and Turbidity sensor in each node. And data is stored to red tide database through Ad-hoc network. This data is integrated and analyzed. So, forecast red tide. And red tide database has red tide data that happen at past. This is utilized to comparative analysis data for red tide estimate. Main screen displays position of node and measured value in electron map. Much studies must be backed for this a study. But I think that contribute to analyze red tide data by red tide database construction.

  • The development of modern technology has rapidly grown the field of wearable devices. Wearable equipments should satisfy low power consumption and small/lightweight because of characteristics of body wearing. In this paper, an overview of wearable equipments is explained, and wearable device market is investigated. In addition, we investigate developed technology of wearable components, which is divided into component and communication technology. Meanwhile, a smart HSE system is required to meet the demand of the society for the serious industrial accident. To address this issue, we propose an interactive method between the wearable component and the HSE system, which are expected to be effective in safety management. As a detailed case study, a risk scenario is made with risk factors in welding workshop, and then we propose an interactive method between a wearable component and an HSE system that can reduce the risk. This proposed method is useful to achieve high level of worker's safety.

  • Modern warfare exhibit a NCW (Network Centric Warfare) aspect through quick situation awareness and Command and Control. And Tactical messages operate on various tactical data links (TDLs). For monitoring TDL messages processed by data link processor(DLP), message analysers are generally developed as a component during system development. In addition, in order to forward TDL messages processed by DLP to the message anayzer, the interface messages between DLP and message analysers should be defined interface control document(ICD). We propose the methods using UDP or TCP packets provided by TDL layers that are delivered to DLP without communicating directly with DLP. Depending on TDL message standards and Interface Control Documents(ICDs), we design the message analyzer which communicates with data link processor using internal messages. Using known header field information from the TDL application standard such as JREAP-C, we can quickly filter candidate packets against collected packets and use the full data size information contained in the headers to verify the completed message. Because the methods proposed in this paper do not communicate directly with DLP, the methods proposed in this paper are enable to analyze the TDL application messages such as JREAP-C or Link-K without constraints in existing methods that should be reflected in the system configuration and ICD.

  • It is critical that passengers should be given timely and correct escape or evacuation guidance from captain and crews when there are hazardous situations in a ship. Otherwise the consequences could be disastrous as "SEWOL Ferry" the South Korean passenger ship which sank in southern coastal area on 16th April 2014. Due to the captain's delayed evacuation decision and lack of sufficient number of crews to guide passengers' evacuation, the accident recorded many casualties, most of whom were high school students (302 passengers sank down with the ship while 172 rescued). Building a passenger ship with well-designed physical escape routes is one thing and guiding passengers to those escape routes in real disaster situation is another. Passengers get panic and move to a wrong direction, bottleneck makes situation worse, and even crews get panic also - passive static escape route signage and small number of trained crews might not be enough to take care of them. SESS (Smart Escape Support System) is being developed sponsored by South Korea Ministry of Ocean and Fisheries starting from 2016 with 4 years of roadmap. SESS comprises multiple active dynamic signage devices which communicate with real-time escape routing server software via LoRa (Long Range) proprietary wireless network.

  • In this study, we described a paper-based neuraminidase assay sensor (PNAS) which can be applied to detect the infection by influenza viruses. The PNAS was designed and manufactured to quantitatively identify the levels of neuraminidase in the sample, which is based on colorimetric analysis using the X-Neu5Ac substrate. The limit of detection of the PNAS was determined as 0.004 U/mL of neuraminidase. According to the amount of neuraminidase in human serum, the PNAS could monitor the enzyme activity with a good linearity ($R^2$ > 0.99). In addition, the initial performance of the PNAS has been maintained up to 70 days in the $4^{\circ}C$. Finally, we demonstrated whether the Michaelis-Menten kinetics is applied to the PNAS, which can show the reliability of the enzyme reactions. The kinetic studies indicated that the PNAS provides the good condition for enzyme reactions ($K_m=8.327{\times}10^{-3}M$), but they were performed on paper chip nonetheless. The paper-based neuraminidase assay sensor may be useful in a wide range of rapid and safe detection of influenza virus.

  • In order to respond and prevent underground safety accidents, the Korean government has been preparing a submitting completion drawing web system project for converting the current manual-based 3D Underground Geospatial Map construction and its update system to an automation-based 3D underground information construction. However, research on standard drawings required for the automatic update of 3D underground structures is insufficient, so detailed research is needed. In this research paper, a standard map-based 3D underground structure construction plan was presented for the six types of underground structures constituting the 3D Underground Geospatial Map, enabling rapid and accurate drawing data creation and systematically 3D underground structure drawing data could be managed. In addition, we developed a 3D construction drawing tool that can be used in underground information practice so that ordinary CAD program users can easily produce processing drawings. The results derived from this paper are expected to be major reference materials for the establishment of standard frameworks and practical application guidelines for the construction of 3D underground structures in the future.
