In this study we investigate the importance of the subway station using network centrality measures. For centrality measures, we have used betweenness centrality, closeness centrality, and degree centrality. A new measure called weighted betweenness centrality is proposed, that combines both traditional betweenness centrality and passenger flow between stations. Through correlation analysis and power-law analysis of passenger flow on the Seoul metropolitan subway network, we have shown that weighted betweenness centrality is a meaningful and practical measure. We have also shown that passenger flow between any two stations follows a highly skewed power-law distribution.

Statement analysis is a technique that examines the credibility of a statement by scientifically analyzing problems and psychological characteristics that appear in the content of the statement. The statement analysis report is prepared, submitted, and used for legal judgments when there is a suspicion of sexual abuse for children(under 13 years of age) and persons with disabilities since it is usually difficult to secure physical evidence nor eyewitnesses. However, the criteria for evaluating the quality of a statement analysis report or testimony are not available in Korea. Although forensic experts and professional organizations in North America and Europe are providing recommendations and guidelines for preparing forensic assessment reports, qualitative analysis research studies for forensic reports revealed a number of problems such as missing or poorly described essential information and lack of logical connection between evaluation results and forensic opinions. Therefore, forensic evaluation guidelines and forensic reports submitted to the courts in the United States, as well as the Structured Quality assessment of eXpert testimony (SQX-12) developed in Sweden were examined to suggest the Korean version of quality evaluation criteria for statement analysis report and testimony. This criteria can be used to improve effectiveness of forensic reports within criminal justice system and used as a guideline to assess the quality forensic reports or expert testimony prepared by experts. However, this criteria do not guarantee the reliability of the statement itself.

This essay suggests a constructive interpretation of probabilities by diagnosing problems of the objective and the epistemic interpretations of probability. According to this interpretation, attributions of the mathematical structure of probability to a given system can be understood as positing constructive theoretical hypotheses showing the relationship among empirical data. The constructive interpretation is applied to comprehend probability claims in the explanation of temporal asymmetrical behaviour of our universe. A new approach interpreting probabilities as constructive theoretical terms enables us to circumvent shortcomings of both objective and subjective interpretation of probability, and appreciate why these interpretations nevertheless appear to be convincing in our case.

Sound transmission characteristics are investigated on the test specimen for the railway vehicle's floor section. Transmission loss on the honeycomb structure has been examined experimentally with the reverberation chamber. Predicted transmission loss values using NASTRAN, AUTOSEA2, are compared with measured Haloes and the effect of resonance on the transmission loss is identified. Transmission loss of different shapes of honeycomb structure are predicted.

ISO 및 전력사들이 제공하는 많은 수요반응 프로그램들은 절감기간에 이루어진 수요의 절감 크기를 결정하기 위해 신빙성이 있는 절차를 사용하고 있다. 이를 위해 수요자 설비의 수요절감을 측정하기 위해서 빌딩공학자, 설비운영자 및 외부 M&V 전문가 등에 의해서 사용될 수 있는 표준화된 Measurement & Verification (M&V) Protocol의 개발을 하고 있다. 본 프로토콜의 개발로 중소 용량 수요자들이 수요반응 프로그램 참여가 증가하고 기본부하 설정 방법에 있어 불합리하거나 혼돈을 야기하는 요소를 감소할 것으로 예측한다. 따라서 Customer Baseline Load(CBL) 산정 시스템은 수요절감에 대한 정산 과정과 절감 이행 실적에 대한 직접적인 도구로 활용된다. 본 연구는 CBL 산출을 위해 그 방법 및 산출 방안에 대해 알아본다.

Unlike most print resources such as magazines and journals that go through an filtering process (e.g. editing, peering review), information in world Wide Web and Internet is mostly unfiltered. Using and citing information found over Web may not be reliable or authoritative. Therefore it is necessary to develop skills to evaluate what we found on the net. Fifteen evaluation documents for WWW are collected, analyzed from digital sources of U. S. academic libraries and common criteria for evaluating WWW resources are developed. Also several practical steps were made to overcome the quality problems.

The dynamic behaviour of bearing-rotor system with flexible and damped supports is systematically investigated. To find out the obvious trend of the influence of the external damping on the resonance peak of a rolling bearing-rotor system and on the stability linit of a cylindrical journal bearing-rotor system, some important characteristic design parameters are derived. Those are the dimensionless stiffness and damping ratio of the external damping refered to the rotor stiffness. For an optimal design of the external damping a relation between the stiffness and damping coefficients can be obtained from the dynamic analysis of the whole system.

회전축계가 위험한 공진 또는 불안한 상태를 나타내지 않고 조용하고 안정된 운전상태를 유지하려는 목적은 축의 휨강성, 몸체형상, 베어링의 크기 및 형상과 같은 설계변수를 최적화하는 것으로 이루어질 수 없는 경우가 빈번하다. 이런 경우에는 베어링 외부에 작용하는 "외부댐핑"을 이용하여 진동문제를 근본적으로 개선할 수 있다. 이를 위하여 베어링 외부에 별도로 설계한 스프링과 댐퍼를 설치한다. 본 연구에서는 윤활이론에 따라 명확히 계산되고 그 신빙성이 실험적으로 검증된 "동압유막 댐퍼"의 감쇄계수를 이용하여 외부댐핑을 갖는 회전축-구름베어링\ulcorner와 회전축-저어널 베어링계의 진동특성을 해석하고 회전축-구름베어링계의 실험적 모델을 제시하고자한다. 또한 해석결과와 실험을 토대로 회전축계의 진동특성에 미치는 특성수 및 설계변수를 명확히 도출하여 동특성을 고려한 회전축계의 최적 설계에 기여하고자 한다.축계의 최적 설계에 기여하고자 한다.

Animation fascinates people. Fascination can be defined as a state in which one's attention is irresistibly taken and remains that way even though he/she gains nothing from the object. The power of fascination of animation comes from the fact that the illusion in animation looks as convincing as the reality. In order to successfully fascinate spectators, animation should attract their eyes with visual sensation (confusion), and then quickly have them immersed into the narrative, the inner logic that rationalizes the confusion while the attraction lasts. Animation fascinates us with both visual sensation and narrative, and this fascination is the reason why we keep making animation in spite of the extra efforts it requires. Our fascination to animation is a eulogy to the fantasy so convincing that makes our perception discords with our reason.

Isothermal vapor-liquid equilibrium data have been measured for binary systems n-dodecane-1-defanol, n-doderane-1-dodecanol, and 1-decanoi-1-dodecanol at 140$^{\circ}C$ by using head space gas chromatography (H.S.G.C) as a static method. The activity coefficients, calculated taking into acount the nonideality of the liquid phase, were correlated with the conventional g$\^$E/ model, Margules, van Laar, Wilson, NRTL equations. These equilibrium data were thermodynamically consistent by Rrdlich- kister test, among these data, system n-dodecane-1-detanoi has minimum azeotrope.
