Structural Model Analysis on UHDTV Service Usage: Control Effects of Symbolism (UHDTV서비스 이용에 대한 구조 모형 분석: 상징성 조절효과)

  • This study was conducted structural model analysis focusing on the factors influencing UHDTV service usage. The perceived quality, innovativeness, price sensitivity are adopted as independent variables and perceived usefulness, perceived easy use are adopted as intervening variables. Especially symbolism used it as a control variable. As a result of the analysis by PLS, the influence coefficient of perceived quality was significantly higher than other variables. However, the combined effect of symbolism and perceived quality has a negative effect on perceived usefulness, and the more the users consider the symbolism of UHDTV usage, the more negative the evaluation of UHD quality and usefulness. With the launch of the terrestrial UHDTV service in May 2017, the most important issue is the production and distribution of high-quality content that users want.

  • The purpose of this study is to improve the social acceptance of AVs by analyzing the citizen's perception using an emotional analysis technique which belongs to a type of text mining. The source of the data is originated from 3 year accumulated internet articles and comments on AV from 164 newspapers and Naver. According to the study results, there exists a positive perception on AVs, although negative ones are more frequent than the positive. Also most of people take neutral position on AV due to the unfamiliarity and lack of experience on AVs And these problems needs to be responded before AV's commercialization through continuous analyses on the perception and social acceptance.

  • This study aimed to identify the factors of failure in cases where there was feasibility but was not successful in commercializing technology. For the study, 92 feasibility reports for new technologies were collected, and among these 4 studies that showed definite failure in commercialization of technology were analyzed in depth. Further analysis was based the factors pointed out by previous frameworks such as 1) discussion on success or failure in commercialization of technology, 2) that of venture company, and 3) valuation of technology studies. Previous studies pointed out success and failure factors as lack of funding, uncontrollable accidents, managing ability, inability for mass production and so forth, which had little difference to the pre-feasible evaluation of four cases. However, real reason was the lack of understanding technologies such as composition of technologies, production technologies required by stages, and lack of understanding of floor technologies. The misunderstandings were occurred regardless of CEO's experience and expertise. We did not touch the evaluation model of pre-feasibility studies, although we dealt with the failure of the pre-studies. The reason we do not generalize the results of this study is the fact that we dealt with only small cases.

  • This study, based on flow theory and unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT), examines various factors that influence the continuous use of mobile applications, particularly those providing users with satisfaction and pleasure as well as useful information. This study extends the previous studies that have been based on technology acceptance model, in which usefulness and ease of use are key determinants of use of new technology, by introducing flow theory in explaining the use of various technologies in mobile environment. For this purpose, this study employes a survey based field study and collects data from individuals who use fashion mobile apps since these are considered to provide fun and pleasures. This study finds that flow theory is a proper framework to understand the use of mobile technology, indicating flow experience is an important variable to determine the usage of fashion apps. In addition, performance expectation, effort expectation, social influence, and facilitation condition are found to be significant in influencing use of mobile apps, suggesting UTAUT still plays an important role in understanding the use of mobile technology.

  • 지구온난화로 인한 기후변화에 따라 평균강수량과 증발량이 증가하며 강우지역 집중화와 강우강도가 높아질 가능성이 크다. 우리나라의 경우 협소한 국토면적과 높은 인구밀도로 기후변동의 영향이 크기 때문에 한반도에 적합한 유역규모의 수자원 예측과 대응방안을 마련해야 한다. 이를 위한 수자원 관리를 위해서는 유역에서 강수량, 유출량, 증발량 등의 장기적인 자료가 필요하며 경험식, 물리적 강우-유출 모형 등이 사용되었고, 최근들어 연구의 확장성과 비 선형성 등을 고려하기 위해 딥러닝등 인공지능 기술들이 접목되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 ASOS(동해, 태백)와 AWS(삼척, 신기, 도계) 5곳의 관측소에서 2011년~2020년까지의 일 단위 기상관측자료를 수집하고 WAMIS에서 같은 기간의 오십천 하구 일 유출량 자료를 수집 후 5개 관측소를 기준으로Thiessen 면적비를 적용해 기상자료를 구축했으며 Angstrom & Hargreaves 공식으로 잠재증발산량 산정해 3개의 모델에 각각 기상자료(일 강수량, 최고기온, 최대 순간 풍속, 최저기온, 평균풍속, 평균기온), 일 강수량과 잠재증발산량, 일 강수량 - 잠재증발산량을 학습 후 관측 유출량과 비교결과 기상자료(일 강수량, 최고기온, 최대 순간 풍속, 최저기온, 평균풍속, 평균기온)로 학습한 모델성능이 가장 높아 최적 모델로 선정했으며 일, 월, 연 관측유출량 시계열과 비교했다. 또한 같은 학습자료를 사용해 다층 퍼셉트론(Multi Layer Perceptron, MLP) 앙상블 모델을 구축하여 수자원 분야에서의 인공지능 활용성을 평가했다.

A Comparative Analysis between High and Low Groups on Concerns About Privacy Infringement in Consumer Innovation Patterns According to Internet Media Activities (인터넷 미디어 활동에 따른 소비자 혁신성 유형이 프라이버시 침해 우려성에 대한 고(High)집단과 저(Low)집단 간의 비교 분석)

  • This study was intended to present the magnitude of privacy infringement concerns and their relationship to consumer innovation (functional innovation, hedonistic innovation, social innovation, cognitive innovation), to identify differences among groups and to suggest implications for marketing strategies for the spread of new products. The implications of this study are as follows. First, functional innovation has shown that differences exist between groups. Analysts say that sensitive groups are buying products that can simplify their work immediately after release despite concerns over privacy violations. Second, hedonistic innovation has shown that differences exist between groups. These findings suggest that sensitive groups prefer novel products, products that give excitement and excitement about products, and products that give new enjoyment and fun that they have never known before. Third, social innovation has been shown that there is no difference between groups. These analyses show that the self-esteem of using products that others have never experienced before, and the curiosity that anyone envies, are purchased or used first. Finally, cognitive innovation showed that differences existed between groups. These analyses show that new products are purchased when they meet the functions, design, and innovation that consumers want.

  • The study aims to present function and role of the library in the age of sharing economy. For this purpose, through theoretical discussion and review of the characteristics and benefits of the sharing economy, the potential and value of a sharing economy were analyzed and the role of libraries was compared and analyzed in terms of the value of a sharing economy. In this study, the values created from the sharing economy were divided into five categories: Economic value, Social value, Community value, Technical value, and Environmental value, showing that the potential value of a sharing economy is similar to the role, function and value of a library. Based on this, it presented a function and role to realize the sharing value of a library in the era of a sharing economy.

  • 본 연구에서는 실감공간에 대한 청소년의 반응을 바탕으로 향후 기술 개발 방향에 대한 조언을 하기 위하여 총 41명의 학생을 대상으로 소집단 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 시행하였다. 청소년들이 자주 사용하는 미디어의 종류와 이유, 미디어 사용에서 느끼는 불편한 점, 그들이 상상하는 미래형 미디어의 모습과 실감공간기술에 대한 반응을 묻고, 그 결과를 유형화하였다. 연구 결과 포커스 그룹 인터뷰 참가자들은 자주 사용하는 미디어로 휴대폰과, 인터넷, MP3, 활자 매체 등을 꼽았다. 활자매체의 장점으로는 높은 몰입도를, 인터넷의 장점으로는 편리한 인터페이스, 핸드폰의 장점으로는 이동성이 제기되었다. 그러나 핸드폰과 관련하여 청소년들은 불편한 인터페이스, 작은 용량과 빨리 닳는 배터리를 단점으로 지적했고 뉴미디어 공통적으로 느린 속도, 미디어에 의존하게 되는 강박증적 증세, 사생활 침해의 문제와 대인관계유지에 있어서의 부작용, 높은 이용료 등의 문제가 제기되었다. 이들은 일상생활이 미디어 이용에 의해 방해받고 있으며 미디어 이용으로 인해 불필요한 '필요'가 생겨나고 있다고 지적했다. 미래형 미디어에 대한 바람은 기존 미디어의 단점이 보완, 개선되는 측면에서 제시되었다. 더욱 편리해진 인터페이스와 기존 뉴미디어의 장점이 접목되는 방향의 미디어 통합도 요청되었다. 그러나 실감공간기술에 대해서는 긍정적인 반응보다는 부정적인 반응을 수적으로 우세해 주목을 끌었다. 진화된 형태의 미디어에 대해 긍정적인 반응을 보일 것이라는 예상과는 달리 실감공간기술이 기존의 면 대 면 대인관계를 파괴할 것이며 사생활을 침해하고 건강에 부정적인 영향을 미칠 것이라는 등의 거부감과 공포를 구체적으로 피력한 것이다. 이러한 두려움(fear)은 선행연구에 따르면 사람들이 새로운 매체에 대해 갖는 두려움과 이로부터 발생하는 두려움에 대한 대응은 혁명적 변화의 가능성을 억압하여 기존의 질서와 새로운 질서가 공존하는 기간을 늘림으로써 미시적 차원에서 단절적 역사의 경험을 완화시키는 기능을 하는 것으로 해석된다. 따라서 연구 결과 나타난 실감공간 기술에 대한 부정적인 반응도 이러한 맥락에서 해석될 수 있다. 즉 인터뷰 참가자들이 피력한 두려움은 뉴미디어 도입과 함께 반복되는 현상이며 이것은 새로운 현상이 아니다. 두려움은 기존 질서와 새로운 질서가 공존하는 기간을 연장시킴으로써 완충재로서 기능한다. 따라서 향후 기술 개발과 확산 과정에서 실감공간기술의 긍정적인 면모에 대한 적극적인 홍보가 필요하며 수용자들의 바람과 신기술에 대한 공포감을 이해하고 이를 기술 개발 방향 설정에 적극적으로 반영하는 자세가 요청된다고 하겠다.

Pamidronate therapy for a Patient with Methylmalonic acidemia (메틸말론산혈증 환자에서 파미드로네이트 치료 1례)

  • Methylmalonic acidemia is an autosomal recessive disorder caused by complete (mut0) or partial (mut-) deficiency of methylmalonyl-CoA mutase (MUT) or by defects in the synthesis of adenosylcobalamin (cblA, cblB, cblD variant 2). Long term complications of methylmalonic acidemia include tubulointerstitial nephritis with progressive renal failure, intellectual impairment, pancreatitis, and growth failure. We report a case of methylmalonic acidemia in a girl who diagnosed at 6 days after birth. She has developed recurrent metabolic crises with hyperammonemia and metabolic acidosis. In addition, she suffered from the chronic complications including tubulointerstitial nephritis, electrolyte imbalance associated with renal dysfunction, growth failure and fracture of femur shaft. At the age of 10 years, hypercalcemia and severe osteoporosis were noted, and pamidronate therapy was given for two years, which relieved hypercalcemia and osteoporosis.
