Reliability evaluation and standardization of outdoor exposure materials (옥외노출소재의 신뢰성 평가기술 및 표준화)

  • 본 연구에서는 옥외에서 사용하는 소재의 신뢰성 평가(내후성)에 관한 연구를 수행하였는데 국내와 일본의 옥외환경시험장에 시험편을 동시에 폭로하여 기상인자 및 주변환경에 따른 시험편의 특성 변화를 상호 비교ㆍ평가하였고 인공 촉진내후성 시험을 실시하여 옥외내후성과의 상관관계를 관찰하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 국내 지역의 옥외환경시험장 중에서는 인천 옥외환경시험장에 폭로한 시험편에서 가장 많은 변화를 나타내고 있으며, 일본 지역은 가혹한 기상환경을 나타내는 미야고지마 옥외환경시험장에 폭로한 시험편에서 많은 변화가 나타남을 관찰할 수 있었는데 국내 지역보다는 온도와 습도 등 기상제조건이 더 가혹한 일본 지역의 옥외환경시험장에 폭로한 시험편의 노화가 더 빠르게 진행됨을 관찰하였다.

  • 유리섬유 강화 열가소성 복합재료는 고상성형법에 의해 저렴한 가격으로 큰 부피의 제품의 제조에 널리 사용될 수 있어 아주 좋은 전망을 가지고 있다. 그러나 이러한 재료의 성형성이나 재료거동의 특성은 아직 잘 파악되지 않았다. 본 연구의 주안점은 이러한 재료의 단순 굽힘에서의 굽힘성형성을 연구하는데 두었다. 실험에 사용된 재료는 임의의 방향으로 위치한 유리섬유를 중량비로 20 %, 35 %, 40 % 함유한 폴리프로필렌이다 굽힘시험은 75 $^{\circ}C$에서 150 $^{\circ}C$ 사이의 온도에서 25 $^{\circ}C$ 씩 증가하면서 행했고, 편치속도는 2.54 mm/sec와 0.0254 mm/sec에서 행했다. 단순 굽힘시험에서 측정된 굽힘성형성은 해석적 모델로 예측한 결과와 비교하였다. 실험결과와 예측결과가 비교적 잘 일치함을 보였으며, 굽힘성 map으로써 성형 온도와 펀치반경의 좌굴에 대한 효과를 가시화 함은 물론 좋은 성형조건을 선정할 수 있는 좋은 도구로써 나타내었다.

  • The change of soluble protein components in leaf discoloration of rice plant was investigated in the Growth Cabinet with various temperature conditions. The ratio between high molecular soluble protein and low molecular soluble protein was high under high temperature condition, while low under low temperature condition, and also lower in Indica type varieties than Japonica type variety.

A Study on the Change of Burning Rate of Zirconium-Nickel Delay Elements Depending on the Ambient Temperature (Zr/Ni계 지연제의 주변 온도에 따른 연소속도 변화 연구)

  • Among the explosives in ammunition, the delay elements, which are used as a retardant, could be influenced by the ambient temperature in the Republic of Korea, where the highest and lowest average annual temperature difference is clear. On the other hand, there has been no domestic research on this. This study examined the linear burning rates of the zirconium-nickel delay elements depending on the ambient temperature in South Korea. The ambient temperature data of South Korea were obtained from the meteorological administration, which was used to set the experimental conditions. The operational time for the K414 fuze was measured by changing the ambient temperature by 10 ℃ from -40 ℃ to 50 ℃. To convert the delay time into the burning rates, the height of the delay element in the K414 fuze body was used. The results indicated that the characteristics of the burning rates for the zirconium-nickel delay element could be estimated as linear, and both the burning rates and the delay time of the zirconium-nickel delay element were 2.73mm/ms and -4.18ms, respectively. This led to an approximately 80 ms delay time difference in the environment where the highest and lowest average annual temperature difference was above 20 ℃. Therefore, the delay time reflecting the ambient temperature should be considered when the test evaluation criteria of zirconium-nickel delay elements are established.

  • 3상 인버터의 PWM 구동시 인버터 파워모듈의 IGBT와 Diode에서는 도통 손실 및 스위칭 손실이 발생하며 이러한 손실은 소자의 정션 온도를 증가시킨다. 하이브리드 차량(HEV)의 경우 다양한 주행 조건에서 IGBT와 Diode가 제한 온도를 초과하지 않도록 해야한다. 본 연구에서는 순시 전압 및 전류에 대한 3상PWM 인버터의 손실을 계산하고 열모델을 통해 소자의 온도를 파악함으로써 하이브리드 차량의 성능 예측에 활용하였다. 열모델은 파워모듈 각 상의 IGBT와 Diode 사이의 상호 열전달을 고려하였으며 시험 결과와 시뮬레이션 결과 비교를 통해 열모델의 타당성을 살펴보았다. 제안된 모델을 통해 다양한 주행 조건에서 하이브리드 차량의 성능 분석을 실시하였다.

  • 불포화 폴리에스테르 수지를 결합재로 사용하여 제작되는 폴리머 콘크리트 맨홀은 조기 고강도 발현, 접착성. 수밀성, 내동결융해성, 내약품성, 내마모성, 전기절연성이 우수하여 프리캐스트로 제작되는 많은 통신용 맨홀에 적용되고 있다. 폴리머 콘크리트의 결합재로 사용되는 불포화 폴리에스테르 수지는 열경화성수지로써, 자체 발열에 의해 거푸집을 탈형할 정도의 초기 경화 반응이 나타나지만, 구조물로서 요구되는 소요 강도를 발휘하기 위해서는 적정 온도에 의한 추가 양생이 반드시 필요하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 폴리머 콘크리트의 휨 강도 시험용 공시체를 사용하여, 다양한 양생 온도 조건 및 양생기간에 따른 휨 강도를 측정하였으며, 이를 가열 촉진 양생에 의한 휨 강도와 비교하여 콘크리트가 소요 강도를 발휘하는데 요구되는 적정 온도와 기간을 도출하였다. 이를 통해 폴리머 큰크리트 맨홀의 품질 확보를 위한 생산 관리와 제품 검사를 체계적이고 효율적으로 수행할 수 있도록 하였다.

  • Analysis via classical soil mechanics theory is either ineffective or inappropriate for fully describing stress distribution or failure conditions in cold regions, since mechanical properties of soils in cold regions are different from those reported in the classical soil mechanics theory. Therefore, collecting and analyzing technical data, and systematic and specialized research for cold regions are required for design and construction of the structure in cold regions. Freezing and thawing repeat in active layer of permafrost region, and a loading condition affecting the structure changes. Therefore, the reliable analysis of mechanical properties of frozen soils according to various conditions is prerequisite for design and construction of the structure in cold regions, since mechanical properties of frozen soils are sensitive to temperature condition, water content, grain size, relative density, and loading rate. In this research, the direct shear apparatus which operates at 30 degrees below zero and large-scaled low temperature chamber are used for evaluating shear strength characteristics of frozen soils. Weathered granite soil is used to analyzed the shear strength characteristics with varying freezing temperature condition, vertical confining pressure, relative density, and water content. This research shows that the shear strength of weathered granite soil is sensitively affected by various conditions such as freezing temperature conditions, normal stresses, relative densities, and water contents.

Experimental Study on Fuel Consumptions of LPG Vehicle Depending on the Atmospheric Temperature, Vaporizer Gas Leakage, Engine Oil and Engine Loads (대기온도, 증발기 누출, 엔진오일 및 엔진부하에 따른 LPG 차량의 연비실험에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents the fuel consumption effects of LPG vehicle depending on the atmospheric temperature, LP gas leakage of vaporizer, viscosity of engine oil and engine load conditions. The fuel consumption test results show that when the temperature of engine temperature rises, the fuel consumption efficiency increases in general. The fuel consumption efficiency for an atmosphere temperature of $24.2^{\circ}C$ is 13.6% high compared to that of $1^{\circ}C$. No leak vaporizer on fuel consumption efficiency is 5.3% high compared to that of the LP gas leak vaporizer. The fuel economy of new engine oils is just 1.1% high compared to that of used oils with a LPG vehicle mileage of 9,500km. This is not an influential factor compared with an atmospheric temperature and a LP gas leakage. The more important factors on the fuel consumption efficiency are driving conditions such as a rapid braking, abrupt start and fast acceleration. The test results indicate that the normal start is 32.3% high compared to that of an abrupt start and the fast acceleration is 10.8% high compared with that of an abrupt start. And the fuel consumption efficiency for a rapid braking is 18.3% higher than that of an abrupt start. These indicate that the driving condition is very important to reduce the fuel consumption rate.

One Dimensional Analysis on Alcohol Burner Flow for Turbopump Operation (터보펌프 구동용 알코올버너 유동 일차원 해석)

  • TPTF (Turbopump Real Propellant Test Facility) at Naro Space Center has used alcohol burner system to simulate the gas flow of gas generator of liquid rocket engine. During the test at TPTF, the temperature and pressure at turbine inlet were smoothly increased while those of the gas generator of engine were constant. Present research developed a simulation code for the burner and the piping system and applied to the system. The calculation results were in good agreement with the test, and confirmed quantitatively that the non-steadiness is due to the heat transfer of the pipe. While the insulation of the pipe is ineffective, the length has a large impact on the turbine inlet condition. The present research clarified the empirically estimation of test condition, and can be applied to determination of the following test conditions.

  • A temperature-compensating double fiber Bragg grating(FBG) sensor having two different FBGs in one fiber line was proposed for real time measurement of mechanical normal strain in structures. Measurement of mechanical strains of the aluminum beam surface by the double FBG sensor was performed under various thermal conditions, and the results were compared with those of electrical resistance strain gage. The FBG sensor fabricated in this study was able to measure accurately the mechanical strains without containing any thermal strain component.
