독일, 미국, 일본 등 세계 주요 선진국운 도금전문 중소기업들이 각 산업분야의 첨단 핵심부품의 기능화, 신기능-신제품 창출에 크게 이바지하고 었으며, 도금 및 표면처리 관련 전문연구소와 전문고굽 기술인력이 정부 및 사회단체의 지원으로 끊임없이 관련 기술의 연구와 개발에 여념이 없으며, 관련업계와의 교류에 있어서도 활발하다. 특히 도금설비, 자동화장치, 폐수처리 등 도금관련기술에 1970년대부터 연구개발을 시작 하여 실용화하고 있으며, 최근에는 분자규모 표면제어기술과 제 4세대 도금기술(저가 격-고품질-환경융화-개성화)의 연구 및 상품화를 구축하고 었다. 또한, 도금약품 분야 도 오랜 공업화 역사와 강력한 기초산엽을 기반으로 하여 고효융, 고성능화를 설현 실용화단계에 접어들었으며, 설비자동화와 함께 세계적 환경문제와 관련된 무공해, 저 공해화의 연구를 통해 세계시장을 지속적으로 선점하고 있는 실정이다. 국내의 경우, 근대 공업화의 늦은 출발과 수출을 통한 산업발전에 기인된 대기업 중 심의 산업구조, 그리고 수출목표 지향의 제품생산, 조립위주 등의 원인으로 산업기반 기술인 도금기술과 이와 관련된 기초, 핵심기술이 여전허 낙후되어 있으며, 해외의존 도에 있어서 지리척으로 가까운 일본의 영향이 크고, 기타 선진국으로부터 기술도입, 원자재수입에 의해 영위되어 오고 있는 실정이다 또한 영세성 소규모 업체로 구성되어 기술개발 자체도 수요의 한정 및 연관 산업과의 정보부족으로 실효성이 적으며­관련 전문 연구기관, 연구장벼 및 전문 기술인력이 선진국과 비교하여 절대 부족한 현실에 놓여었다. 연구시설, 연구인력의 절대부족, 기초연구 재원 및 국가적 전략지원 연구 및 기본 INFRA 구축이 부족한 국내 현실을 인식하여 한국기계연구원에서는 업계가 직면하고 있는 표면처리 관련기술 제반문제에 대한 실질적이고 다양한 내용 즉, 기술지도 및 지원, 기술훈현 및 연수, 품질-시험 인증을 위한 실험.측정장비의 구입 및 업계와의 공동활용, 국내.외 최신기술 정보자료의 수집과 신속제공, 국내.외 전문가 초청 활 용, 미래 지향적 목적활용 기초연구사업 수행, 미래기술 동향예측 및 홍보 등을 통해 서 국내 도금기술의 기술자립 및 고도화를 위한 여건마련을 위하여 노력하고 있다.

국내광업은 '90년대 이후 석탄산업합리화조치와 국제금속광물시장 가격안정화로 그동안 광업을 주도한 석탄산업과 금속광업은 급격히 위축되는 한편, 산업원료의 수요증가 추세에 힘입어 비금속광물 개발은 비교적 활발한 상태이다. 이와 같이 국내 광업의 주된 영역이 석탄광과 금속광에서 비금속광 중심으로 개편되고 있으나, 현재 가행중인 비금속광은 고품위광체 확보 미흡, 고부가가치 기술낙후 등으로 고가의 주요 산업원료는 주로 수입에 의존하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 국내광업으로서는 비금속광 중심의 단순한 원광석 생산$\cdot$판매체계를 고부가 산업으로 전환시키기 위한 전략적인 방안이 필요한 시기이다. 본 발표문은 이러한 국내광업의 향후 발전방향을 모색하기 위하여 국내 광업이 국가 경제에서 차지하는 영역을 중심으로 $\ulcorner$광업동향$\lrcorner$ $\ulcorner$광업의 국내$\cdot$외 환경분석$\lrcorner$ $\ulcorner$광업의 경제활동 현황$\lrcorner$ $\ulcorner$광업의 경제적 위치와 역할$\lrcorner$로 분류하여 자료분석을 실시하였으며, 분석한 자료를 토대로 국내광업의 중요성과 당면과제를 도출하고 이에 따른 광업의 새로운 역할을 제시하고자 하였다. 국내광업은 각종 지표에서 나타난 바와 같이 여러 가지 구조적인 문제점으로 인해 개발에 어려움을 겪고 있지만 각종 산업원료의 중간재 공급원으로서의 전통적인 역할을 충실히 담당하고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 그러나 과학기술의 급격한 발달, 소비패턴의 변화, 생활환경과 삶의 질을 중시하는 새로운 가치관의 확산 등으로 광업의 역할도 새로운 변화의 전기를 맞이하고 있음을 볼 수 있다. 국내광업이 21C 급변하는 산업환경에 적응하여 생존하기 위해서는 각종 첨단산업에서 요구하는 소량 다품종의 원료광물을 적기에 공급 할 수 있는 전문화된 기술력을 하루속히 확보해야 하며, 이를 위해 고품위의 원료광물 확보를 위한 탐사 및 개발을 적극 추진하고 가공기술의 선진화를 위해 선진국과의 기술제휴 등 자원산업 글로벌화 정책이 절실히 요구되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 또한 삶의 질을 향상시키려는 현대인의 가치관에 부합하기 위해서는 각종 소비제품의 원료를 제공하는 광업의 본래 목적 이외에도 자연환경 훼손을 최소화하며 개발 할 수밖에 없는 구조적인 어려움에 직면할 수밖에 없다. 이처럼 국내광업이 안고 있는 여러 가지 난제들을 극복하기 위해서는 업계와 정부가 합심하여 국내광업 육성의 중요성을 재인식하고 새로운 마음가짐으로 관련 정책을 수립 일관성 있게 추진해 나가야 할 것으로 보인다.

The need for integration of knowledge and technology among SMEs has been acknowledged, and lacks ways of convergence in practical education. Therefore contents of convergence in practical education of high quality are needed. In this study, a case-oriented curriculum and contents were developed to enhance employee's skills of SMEs. The curriculum consists of 3 steps. The first step is analysis of trends and current status of convergence of SMEs in the domestic and foreign areas. Thus drawing up measures of standards to analyze a successful case. The second step is collection of materials, and development of models through successful cases of convergence. The third step is the analysis of a curriculum to enhance employees' of SMEs and the development of an education program. This study may lead to strengthening competition of SMEs through knowledge and technology convergence based on developed curriculum.

The Construction Management contracting method and administration system had introduced to Korea 10 years ago. The actual CM consulting contract has adapted just for 5 years only. The CM administration system proves lots of innovative construction practices, upgrading construction industry from corporations to site operations. However, there are more tasks to the CM professionals to revitalize CM contracting methods and administration system. This research investigated what CM has achieved for the past 10 years and what CM should accomplish for the coming 10 years as future strategy and missions. Overseas CM practices are reviewed and domestic market, regulations, requirements are investigated through structured interviewed and in-depth survey to CM professionals. Many interesting issues were found through research process and those topics were categorized by industry, academy and government for defining current problems and future tasks. These issues for future strategy and mission needs to be utilized to develop future CM contracting methods and administration system. The system to follow up these meaningful results of CM is important for the future progress.

Recently, significant amounts of gem-quality colorless HPHT synthetic melee diamond have produced for the jewelry industry. Consequently, there have been reports of cases of fraud in the world diamond business. For example, intentionally selling synthetic diamond as natural diamond or intentionally mixing a natural diamond parcel with a synthetic. As a result, the separation of natural from synthetic melee diamonds has become increasingly critical. At present, 10,000 cubic hinge presses are used for the production of synthetic diamond in China. From among these, reportedly 1,000 presses are used for gem-quality diamond production. One press can produce up to 10ct melee-size diamonds in 24 hours. Randomly occurring pinpoint or flux-metal inclusions are diagnostic identification clues. However, some synthetic diamonds require advanced laboratory method for identification. In order to ensure consumer confidence, it is essential to screen melees so as to distinguish all synthetic goods.

The wave of globalisation initiated by marketisation has increasingly penetrated into all sectors across the world, accordingly, the health & hospital service sector could not be made no escapes, and it currently faces the order of more marketised competition more than ever. Traditionally, the characteristic of the hospital services in the UK has considered as a model of social provision by government. However, contrary to our knowledge, the sphere of the hospital service in the UK has already been immersed in by the marketisation, in which the private actors have been embedded in order to tweak the activities of the hospital service with in the European Union. As the methodology of this research, the qualitative analysis, namely the interview with some doctors in Surgery, NHS Trusts staffs and relevant specialists in has been performed on April to May, 2003. And on the other hand, the various documents related to its service have been analysed. Thus, this paper will review the characteristics of the health service sector in the UK. In doing so, it will illuminate what would be the structural factors derived from its existing system, as a result, it will shed light on how the UK government makes an effort to resolve the problematic situation by reviewing the policy direction of Foundation Hospital proposed recently. In the next stage, it will analyse how all elements consist of the hospital management in the UK has been adjusted and be likely to be changed within Europe. More specifically focuses on how the private hospital service has been managed and related with the activities of its public hospital service-NHS Trusts. Also, under the circumstance, what private health insurance companies function will be studied. In conclusion, it will be concluded that what will be the implication of Korean hospital service market so as to correspond to globally open market by WTO. Now the UK health service system has faced a turning point of becoming more health care market internally and externally pressed by global and regional factors. Thus it is meaningful to scrutinize how a key part of social provision in the health care market system tends to adjust to globally marketised regulation.

Therefore, In this paper, we will find out about the awareness and demand trends of Physical Security. And The Physical Vulnerable Factors of Network. Thereby this is expected to be utilized as a basis for the domestic Physical Security Technology development and deployment Road-map in a future.

The purpose of this study is to explore essential factors of influencing user's usage intentions on telematics services and to find relationships among factors. This study derives several variables and hypotheses through literature reviews on the extended research model based on Davis's Technology Acceptance Model. With the objective of statistical verification, derived variables were sorted into meaningful categories through various statistical packages. These were included multiple regression analysis to improve the reliability of survey data. The demand analysis was conducted by targeting on users who have previously experienced telematics services. Indicated analyzed results which 'suitability', 'localization', and 'instant connectivity' variables were positively related to the user's usage intentions, especially accuracy of information variable. The factors of influencing the usage intention on telematics services can be useful empirical data in order to analyze the market trends and to suggest industrial or political guideline of telematics services.

Although products with the fingerprint recognition system currently show a rapid growth in quantity, it is also true that efforts to consider the product quality have been lacking until now. Accordingly, this paper analyzed technological elements with domestic and foreign market situations for products with the fingerprint recognition system to develop an evaluation model to support the quality increase by evaluating aspects of product quality for the knowledge information security, identifying the level of quality and deriving directions for improvements. A model for the reliability quality evaluation was constructed that can be applied comprehensively to non-functional elements that have not been done in the existing evaluations central to the security functions by analyzing requirements for the security, performance and reliability in consideration of features on products. It is considered that this paper can make contributions to the overall quality increase for products with the knowledge information security by reflecting features and trends for the fingerprint recognition products and building a model for the reliability and evaluation to perform evaluations by product.

Recently, customers can select various service providers using number portability according to given select options such as quality of service and fare organization. Therefore it is possible that subscriber maintenance and quality competition are converted to fare competition which is real competition concept. However, it is time that we need number portability between $2G{\rightarrow}3G$ for activating 3G services because some important issues are closed such as domestic number portability, WiBro service provider selection. In this paper, we proposed applying method and necessity of $2G{\rightarrow}3G$ number portability Also, we analyzed $2G{\rightarrow}3G$ number portability examples of domestic and foreign countries and domestic market situation about abstract of 3G mobile communication service and number portability introduction between $2G{\rightarrow}3G$ for 3G service activation appearing newly in this research.
