Development of Signature Generation and Update System for Application-level Traffic Classification (응용 레벨 트래픽 분류를 위한 시그니쳐 생성 및 갱신 시스템 개발)

  • The traffic classification is a preliminary but essentialstep for stable network service provision and efficient network resource management. While various classification methods have been introduced in literature, the payload signature-based classification is accepted to give the highest performance in terms of accuracy, completeness, and practicality. However, the collection and maintenance of up-to-date signatures is very difficult and time consuming process to cope with the dynamics of Internet traffic over time. In this paper, We propose an automatic payload signature generation mechanism which reduces the time for signature generation and increases the granularity of signatures. Furthermore, We describe a signature update system to keep the latest signatures over time. By experiments with our campus network traffic we proved the feasibility of our mechanism.

Multilevel Inverter using Two 5-level Inverters Connected in Series (두 대의 5-레벨 인버터의 직렬결합을 이용한 멀티레벨인버터)

  • This paper presents a circuit configuration of multilevel inverter to increase the number of output voltage levels by using conventional 5-level inverters connected in series. Most of all it can maximize the number of output voltage levels by employing input voltage sources, which have the power of five. When it synthesizes the same number of output voltage levels, the proposed inverter can save the number of switching devices compared with the conventional cascaded H-bridge cell inverter. So it can reduce the size, cost, power consumption of the system. We implemented computer-aided simulation and experiments for a 25-level inverter employing two 5-level inverters.

Multilevel Coded Modulation with Serial Concatenated Convolutional Code (직렬연접 길쌈부호를 사용한 다중레벨 부호변조방식)

  • Multilevel coded modulation (MCM) with serial concatenated convolutional code (SCCC) is proposed and the performance is analyzed in this paper. Both high coding gain and bandwidth efficiency can be obtained if SCCC is adopted as a component code at the first level of MCM. Simulation results show that the performance of MCM with Ambroze's SCCC is saturated like that of MCM with PCCC. But MCM with Benedetto's SCCC shows no performance saturation and better performance than MCM with PCCC or Ambroze's SCCC. Thus MCM with Benedetto's SCCC may be a good choice for high quality system with limited bandwidth.

  • Self-adaptive 시스템에서 adaptation은 시스템 운영의 부담으로 작용할 수 있다. Self-adaptive system의 구조적인 고려는 이러한 부담을 줄일 수 있는 방안의 힌트로써 작용 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 self-adaptive 시스템을 구성할 때 가능한 소프트웨어 구조인 사용자 레벨 adaptation과 커널 레벨 adaptation을 살펴보고 각 구조에서 대상에 대한 adaptation을 수행할 때 발생하는 상호작용에 따른 비용을 추정하여 비교하였다. 특히 빠른 적응과 다양한 변화에 따른 적응이 요구되는 Networked Embedded Self-adaptive system을 대상으로 하였다. 본 논문은 Self-adaptive S/W 시스템을 설계할 때 기존의 기능적인 고려 외에 구조적인 고려가 필요함을 말하고자 하며 본 논문의 분석 결과는 Selfadaptive 시스템을 설계하고자 할 때 좋은 참고 자료가 될 수 있을 것이다.

Performance Evaluation of Conflict Detection Schemes for Concurrent Temporal Transactions (시간지원 트랜잭션을 위한 충돌 검출 기법의 성능평가)

  • 시간지원 데이터베이스 시스템은 각 데이터 항목에 대해 현재 비젼뿐만 아니라 이력 버전들까지도 관리하기 때문에 시간지원 트랜잭션은 기존 데이터베이스 시스템의 트랜잭션보다 더 많은 데이터 레코드들을 액세스한다. 그러므로, 시간지원 데이터베이스 관리 시스템은 시간지원 트랜젝션들간의 충돌을 최소의 비용으로 검출하면서도 시스템 전체 성능의 저하를 유발하는 거짓 충돌(false conflict)을 검출하지 않고 실제 충돌을 정확하고 효율적으로 검출할 수 있어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 시간지원 데이터베이스 시스템에서 동시적으로 실행되는 시간지원 트랜잭션들간의 효율적인 충돌 검출 기법으로서 2레벨 충돌 검출 기법을 제안하고, 모의 실험을 통하여 기존의 충돌 검출 기법들과 성능을 비교 분석하였다. 실험 분석의 결과로서 제안된 2레벨 충돌 검출 기법은 기존의 검출 기법들보다 동시적으로 실행되는 시간지원 트랜잭션들간의 충돌을 적은 비용으로 정확하게 검출할 수 있는 효율성이 입증되었다.

Study on the Introduction of EMC Engineering System in Korea (전자파 엔지니어링 제도 도입 방안에 관한 연구)

  • In order to ensure the safety of the large-scale public facilities, the analysis of EMC(ElectroMagnetic Compatibility) of electronic systems included in the facilities is very necessary. The reason is that the system-level EMC of the facility could be not guaranteed, even if individual equipments included in the facility are satisfied with their EMC requirements. As a result, the system-level evaluation and analysis of EMC should be carried out in order to establish the reliable operations of safety and mission-critical electronic systems. This paper analyze the relevant legal systems of domestic and other countries, and furthermore case studies of system-level EMC approaches were analyzed in the specific applications of electric railways, building, automobile, petroleum refinery systems. And the introduction of related systems in Korea is proposed, and main parts and problems to be looked at each proposed measures are discussed. The results are expected to be utilized in the introduction of the system-level EMC engineering, and contributed in national security and the protection of people's life, body and their properties.

  • In this paper, speed control of IPMSM drives for the next generation domestic high speed railway system using NPC 3-level inverters is presented. The NPC multilevel inverter is suitable for the high-voltage and high-power motor drive system because it has advantages in that the voltage rating of the power semiconductor devices and output current harmonics are reduced. For the speed control of IPMSM using NPC 3-level inverters, maximum torque control is applied in the constant torque region, and filed weakening control is applied in the constant power region. Simulation programs based on MATLAB/Simulink are developed. Finally the designed system is verified and their characteristics are analyzed by the simulation results.

Adaptive Load Balancing Algorithm and Its Performance Analysis Based on System-Level Simulations in Indoor Mobile Communication System (옥내용 모바일 통신 시스템을 위한 적응적 Load-Balancing 알고리즘 제안 및 시스템 레벨 시뮬레이션 기반 성능 분석)

  • Recently, various solutions to support explosively growing mobile data traffic have attracted intensive attentions. However, the range of spectrum which can be exploited for mobile communications is very limited. Small cell networks are actively investigated because they can efficiently offload mobile data traffic from macro cells without using additional spectrum. In this paper, we developed a system-level simulator considering small cell networks in the indoor environments. We compare the performance of outage probability when a load-balancing algorithm is utilized or not. We can reduce the outage probability of congested BS with the load-balancing algorithm. In addition, overall outage probability of whole wireless systems can be reduced by using the proposed load-balancing algorithm.

  • 본 논문에서는 기존에 널리 사용되고 있는 3상 인버터와 태양광 인버터 및 무정전 전원공급시스템의 고효율화를 위해 최근 적용이 확대되고 있는 3상 T형 3-레벨 인버터에서 각 전력 반도체에서 발생하는 손실을 구하고 그 결과를 비교, 분석하였다. 또한 그 손실 특성을 기초로 해서 3상 50kVA급 기존 3상 인버터 및 3상 T형 3-레벨 인버터 전력변환모듈을 설계하였고 전산유체해석 소프트웨어를 이용해서 전력변환모듈 내부 방열판의 상세 온도 분포를 해석하고 그 비교 분석 결과를 제시하였다.

Multi-Level based Application Traffic Classification Method (멀티 레벨 기반의 응용 트래픽 분석 방법)

  • Recently as the number of users and application traffic is increasing on high speed network, the importance of application traffic classification is growing more and more for efficient network resource management. Although a number of methods and algorithms for traffic classification have been introduced, they have some limitations in terms of accuracy and completeness. In this paper we propose an application traffic classification based multi-level architecture which integrates several signature-based methods and behavior algorithm, and analyzes traffic using correlation among traffic flows. By strengthening the strength and making up for the weakness of individual methods we could construct a flexible and robust multi-level classification system. Also, by experiments with our campus network traffic we proved the performance and validity of the proposed mechanism.
