A Study on the Smart Locking System for Firearms Safety Control (총기 안전 관리를 위한 스마트 잠금 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • As an extreme-type crime caused by social anxiety and economic hardship, firearm accidents recently rising as a serious social problem are gradually increasing the national anxiety as people start realizing that Korea is no more a safety zone for firearm accidents. In order to improve it, the police and academia are presenting measures through the suggestion of diverse policies and also change of system. However, there are not sufficient researches in the aspect of technology while some people argue that they cannot become fundamental alternatives on top of its effectiveness issue. Thus, this study has suggested a more effective firearms safety control system in the aspect of technology.

Self-sustainable Operation of a 1kW class SOFC System (1kW급 고체산화물 연료전지 발전시스템 자열운전)

  • KEPRI has studied planar type SOFC stacks using anode-supported single cells and kW class co-generation systems for residential power generation. A 1kW class SOFC system consisted of a hot box part, a cold BOP part and a water reservoir. A hot box part contains a SOFC stack made up of 48 single cells and ferritic stainless steel interconnectors, a fuel reformer, a catalytic combustor and heat exchangers. Thermal management and insulation system were especially designed for self-sustainable operation. A cold BOP part was composed of blowers, pumps, a water trap and system control units. When a 1kW class SOFC system was operated at $750^{\circ}C$ with hydrogen after pre-treatment process, the stack power was 1.2kW at 30 A and 1.6kW at 50A. Turning off an electric furnace, the SOFC system was operated using hydrogen and city gas without any external heat source. Under self-sustainable operation conditions, the stack power was about 1.3kW with hydrogen and 1.2kW with city gas respectively. The system also recuperated heat of about 1.1kW by making hot water.

  • In this study, an automatic idle stop control system was developed, which automatically stops the idle state engine as it detects the stop state of the car for several seconds and restarts the stopped engine with the driver's electrical signal. It is composed of microprocessor and the related electronic circuits and communicates with ECU and TCU. With accurate and confirmed operating performance, the control system was equipped in the test car which was proceeded the ECE15+EUDC mode test. It is confirmed that the control system, ASG has much favourable effects on reducing the fuel consumption and harmful exhaust emissions.

  • In paper present a group control system for field trip using wireless sensor networks. The teacher in charge of every group carries a hand-held device which is used to manage the lists of children, identify them and detect if any child goes away from the group. Every child uses a sensor node which serves to transmit packet in every 5 seconds and locate in an area of 30 meters around the teacher. The teacher controls the children, detect possible absence children escaping or lost. The proposed system can be used during the excursions, and picnics as well as field trips.

  • This study suggested the mobile intelligent management system based on the cloud service. The mobile intelligent management system are composed of cloud server, middleware and sensor networks. Each modules are controlled on mobile environment and observed operating status of each apparatus for environment. In this pater, the image-based moving detection algorithm applied in order to detect an intruder and average 12.3% are measured in moving detection experiments. it was confirmed the validity of the security device.

TMP station을 이용한 UBMS(Unbalanced magnetron sputtering) 시스템 개발

  • TSV(through silicon via)는 긴 종횡비를 갖는 패턴에 Cu, Ta, Ti을 높은 conformality를 갖도록 증착하는 공정이다. Magnetron cathode의 자석 배열 설계는 target 물질 종류에 따라서 multitrack, water drop type등이 있으며 target과 substrate 사이의 공간에 플라즈마를 형성시켜서 기판에 이온 입사량을 늘린 후 기판 바이어스를 이용하여 이온 충돌, re-sputtering을 통한 재증착 과정을 통해 치밀한 금속 박막을 연속적으로 형성할 수 있도록 하는 것이 목적이다. 또한 sputter가 사용되고 있는 분야에 효율을 증대시키고, 증착되는 막의 품질향상을 위해 UBMS를 사용하고 있으며, 산업에 사용되어 지는 300 mm wafer용 시스템은 제작비가 약 10억 원 정도 소요되며 다양한 테스트를 진행하기 위해선 많은 비용이 소요된다. 따라서 비용과 소요시간을 줄여 다양한 테스트를 위해 소규모 플라즈마 시스템을 설계하게 되었다. 61 l/sec 터보 분자 펌프와 다이아프램 펌프를 기초로한 TMP station에 2.75 인치 CF flange가 장착된 6 way cross를 main 챔버로 활용하고, 작은 size의 unbalanced magnetron cathode를 제작, 장착한 다음 6 way cross 주변에 전자석을 적절히 배치하여 300 mm wafer system에서와 동일한 물리적 현상을 테스트 할 수 있도록 하였다. (a) UBMS system의 사진을 나타내었고, (b)에는 6 way cross 내부에 발생된 플라즈마의 형상을 나타내었다. 전원 장치는 Advanced Energy사의 MDX-1.5K DC power supply를 사용하였고, 방전 전압 - 전류 관계의 가스 압력에 따른 plasma 현상과 magnetron 배율에 따른 plasma 현상 그리고 전자석에 의한 영향을 주로 관찰 하였다.

A LPG Dispensing Control System based on a 16-bit Microprocessor (16-bit 마이크로프로세서로 구현한 LPG 충전 제어 시스템)

  • In this paper, a POS interfacing and temperature compensable LPG dispensing control system(LDCS) has been developed. A LDCS includes a 16-bit 80C196 microprocessor, RAM, ROM, video driver, and programmable peripheral devices. Based on gas flow encoding pulse, temperature-voltage conversion values and apparatus calibration values, the LDCS controls the LPG dispensing quantity with switching on or off the solenoid valves. The temperature compensation is performed with a 10-bit A/D conversion and its range is from +7$0^{\circ}C$ to -3$0^{\circ}C$ with a 0.5$^{\circ}C$ resolution.

Operation Results of the SOFC System Using 2 Sub-Module Stacks (2 모듈 스택을 이용한 SOFC 시스템 운전결과)

  • A 5kW class SOFC cogeneration system consisted of a hot box part, a cold BOP (balance of plant) part, and a hot water reservoir. The hot box part contained a stack, a fuel reformer, a catalytic combustor, and heat exchangers. A cold BOP part was composed of blowers, pumps, a water trap, and system control units. A 5kW stack was designed to integrate 2 sub-modules. In this paper, the 5kW class SOFC system was operated using 2 short stacks connected in parallel to test the sub-module and the system. A short stack had 15 cells with $15{\times}15 cm^2$ area. When a natural gas was used, the total power was about 1.38 kW at 120A. Because the sub-modules were connected in parallel and current was loaded using a DC load, voltages of sub-modules were same and the currents were distributed according to the resistance of sub-modules. The voltage of the first stack was 11.46 V at 61A and the voltage of the second stack was 11.49V at 59A.

  • 우리나라에서 해상교통관제시스템(Vessel Traffic Service, VTS) 구역을 설정하여, 관제사를 중심으로 한 VTS와 선박사이의 해상교통상황 등의 교환을 통해 항만의 안전과 항만운영의 효율을 높이고 있다. 향후, 연안으로 확대될 예정이다. 더 넓은 해역에 대해서는 해양안전종합정보시스템(GICOMS)이 있으며, 선박자동식별장치 (AIS), 장거리위치추적시스템 (LRIT) 등에서 송신하는 선박의 운항정보를 수신하여 전자해도에 표시하고 있다. 이와 같은 선박관제정보는 빅데이터로 향후 자동화된 분석과 제원체계가 요구된다. 여기서는 해상교통관제정보 기초 활용 연구로, 소청초 종합해양과학기지주변의 AIS (Automatic Identification System)정보를 사용하여 선박 활동 특성 해석을 진행하였다.

Determination of Freely Dissolved PAHs in Seawater around the Korean Peninsula Using High Speed Rotation-Type Passive Sampling Device (고속회전식 수동형 채집 장치를 이용한 한반도 주변해역에서의 자유용존상 PAHs 측정)

  • A new high speed rotation type-passive sampling device (HSR-PSD), which can rotate seawater at high speed and absorb easily and quickly the freely dissolved hydrophobic organic contaminants from seawater, was developed and then applied around the Korean Peninsula. Freely dissolved concentrations (Cfree) of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were determined using the HSR-PSD with low density polyethylene (LDPE) sheets as a passive sampler. Furthermore, dissolved concentrations (Cdissolved) of PAHs in seawater were also obtained from high volume water sampling as a conventional method to account for actual bioavailability. When the LDPE sheets were rotated in the HSR-PSD at 900 rpm, PAHs with log KOW 3.4 ~ 5.2 were equilibrated between the LDPE and water in 5 hours. Although the high molecular weight PAHs with log KOW 5.6 ~ 6.8 was expected to be 2 to 30 days to reach the equilibrium, the Cfree of the PAHs at equilibrium could be corrected using performance reference compounds in 5 hours. Meanwhile, the total Cfree of PAHs were from 0.32 to 1.2 ng/L, which were higher than reported values in other oceans, but lower than in coastal water such as estuary, harbor, or shore. A bioavailability from the detected PAHs was highest at the sampling line near the dumping site of the Yellow Sea. Predicted residual concentrations in biota were relatively higher in offshore including the dumping site than in coastal regions.
