Content based Video Copy Detection Using Spatio-Temporal Ordinal Measure (시공간 순차 정보를 이용한 내용기반 복사 동영상 검출)

  • In this paper, we proposed fast and efficient algorithm for detecting near-duplication based on content based retrieval in large scale video database. For handling large amounts of video easily, we split the video into small segment using scene change detection. In case of video services and copyright related business models, it is need to technology that detect near-duplicates, that longer matched video than to search video containing short part or a frame of original. To detect near-duplicate video, we proposed motion distribution and frame descriptor in a video segment. The motion distribution descriptor is constructed by obtaining motion vector from macro blocks during the video decoding process. When matching between descriptors, we use the motion distribution descriptor as filtering to improving matching speed. However, motion distribution has low discriminability. To improve discrimination, we decide to identification using frame descriptor extracted from selected representative frames within a scene segmentation. The proposed algorithm shows high success rate and low false alarm rate. In addition, the matching speed of this descriptor is very fast, we confirm this algorithm can be useful to practical application.

Spatio-temporal Regression Analysis between Soil Moisture Measurements and Terrain Attributes at Hillslope Scale (사면에서 지형분석을 통한 토양수분 시공간 회귀분석)

  • Spatio-temporal distribution of soil moisture was studied to improve understanding of hydrological processes at hillslope scale. Using field measurements for three designated periods during the spring, summer and autumn seasons in 2010 obtained from Beomryunsa hillslope located at the Sulmachun watershed, correlation analysis was performed between soil moisture measurements and 18 different terrain attributes (e.g., curvatures and topographic index). The results of correlation analysis demonstrated distinct seasonal variation features of soil moisture in different depths with different terrain attributes and rainfall amount. The relationship between predicted flow lines and distribution of the soil moisture provided appropriate model structures and terrain indices.

  • The necessity of a management for a metropolitan has long intrigued many urban scholars and researchers who are interested in Busan metropolitan spatial structure and its problems. The purpose of this study is to investigate the dynamic changes of spatial structure in Busan Metropolitan by analyzing the population, employment and Land prices, for the period of 1993, 2001. The major results in this study are as follows; While main-centers have experienced significant loss of population, sub-centers have been growing. Jung-Ang Dong still has high accessibility in population potentials, but its accessibility has declined since 1993. Pu-Jeon Dong had increasing trend of population until 2000, but its population has also descended since that time. Meanwhile, the population of sub-centers has increased in its accessibility. And The spatial pattern of the population in Busan has changed from monocentric to polycentric. This phenomenon was almost spontaneously generated from population dispersion from existing main-centers. In terms of change of land values are there is a spatial and temporal rhythm in the urbanization of Busan. The highest land value in Busan is shown in CBD. The development of Busan proceeded along the north-south belt and extended to west Busan.

Spacial-Temporal Characteristics of Dinoflagellate Cyst Distribution in Sediments of Busan Harbor (부산항 퇴적물속 와편모조류 시스트의 시공간적 분포 특성)

  • To describe dinoflagellate cyst distribution from Busan Harbor, eleven surface sediment samples and a vertical sediment sample were collected in 2003. Dinoflagellate cysts were identified 12 genera 22 species, and the total cyst concentrations varied from $210\~869\;cysts/g$. The proportion of heterotrophic dinoflagellate cysts was higher in inner parts than in outer parts of the harbor, which reflects that water quality is worse in inner harborthan that in outer harbor. On the basis of the sedimentation rate of 2.0 mm/yr, total depth of the vertical core reflects marine environment far the past 260 years, where dinoflagellate cysts were identified 9 genera 18 species and the total cyst concentrations were $79\~446\;cysts/g$. The cyst concentrations were low and the proportion of heterotrophic dinoflagellate cysts were incerased in the upper part from $14\~15cm$ depth$(1928\~1933)$, which shows industrialization and urbanization in this study area.

  • We developed the three channel lidar system to measure stratospheric aerosols at the Gwangju Institute for Science and Technology (GIST), a suburban site in Republic of Korea. The system provides backscatter coefficient (${\beta}$) at 532 and 1064 nm as well as depolarization ratios (${\delta}$) at 532 nm ($2{\beta}+1{\delta}$) using the doubled Nd:YAG laser wavelength at 532 and 1064 nm. The lidar system is optimized to measure stratospheric aerosols such as volcanic ashes. This paper describes the details of the optical setup, data acquisition system, and analysis method. This study shows an example of measuring stratospheric aerosols emitted by the volcanic eruption which occurred in Mt. Nabro ($13.37^{\circ}$ N, $41.70^{\circ}$ E).

  • Evapotranspiration (ET) including evaporation from a land surface and transpiration from photosynthesis of vegetation is a hydrological factor that has an important role in water cycle. However, there is a limitation to understand it due to heterogeneity of land cover and vegetation. In this study, Mapping EvapoTRanspiration with Internalized Calibration (METRIC) model, one of the energy balance models, and MODerate resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) satellite based well-known Penman-Monteith algorithm were compared. Two ET maps were categorized and compared by land cover classification. The results represented overall applicability of the two models with the highest correlation coefficients in needleleaf and broadleaf forests. This study will be useful to estimate remote sensing based ET maps with high resolution and to figure out spatio-temporal variability and seasonal changes.

A spatiotemporal adjustment of precipitation using radar data and AWS data (레이더와 지상관측소 강우자료를 이용한 시공간 강우 조정 모형)

  • Precipitation is an important component for hydrological and water control study. In general, AWS data provides more accurate but low dense information for precipitation while radar data gives less accurate but high dense information. The objective of this study is to construct adjusted precipitation field based on hierarchical spatial model combining radar data and AWS data. Here, we consider a Bayesian hierarchical model with spatial structure for hourly accumulated precipitation. In addition, we also consider a redistribution of hourly precipitation to 2.5 minute precipitation. Through real data analysis, it has been shown that the proposed approach provides more reasonable precipitation field.

  • This study is concerned with the estimation of fluctuation wind velocity spectrum and turbulence characteristics in the major cities reflecting the recent meteorological with typhoon wind velocity about 2003 (Maemi) 2010 (Kompasu) 2012 (Tembin). The purpose of this paper is to present spectral analysis for longitudinal component fluctuating velocity obtained by Monte Carlo Simulation method. In the processes of analysis, the longitudinal velocity spectrums are compared widely used spectrum models with horizontal wind velocity observations data obtained at Korea Meteorological Adminstration (KMA) and properties of the atmospheric air for typhoon fluctuating wind data are estimated to parameters with turbulency intensity, shear velocity, probability distribution and roughness length.

  • 탁도는 물의 상대적인 흐림 정도를 나타내는 척도로서 이는 빛이 물을 통과할 때 산란시키는 부유고형물질 때문에 발생한다. 토양침식에 의하여 지표수로 유입된 토사와 광물질은 하천의 수송 및 퇴적 과정을 거치며 이동한다. 이때 하상 퇴적물은 바닥으로부터 먹이를 찾는 유기체에 의해 뒤섞이며 입자들은 일정기간동안 물의 흐름에 의해 부유상태로 남아 있게 되고, 유입되는 영양소와 빛에 의하여 성장하는 조류 또한 탁도를 증가시키는 원인이 된다. 이러한 부유물질의 증가는 수중에 태양복사에너지 전달을 방해하여 수중생태계의 먹이사슬과 저서생물의 서식환경에 많은 영향을 미치고, 수표면 온도 또한 태양으로부터 열을 흡수하는 표면 근처의 부유물질에 의해 증가하여 용존산소의 양에도 영향을 미친다. 따라서 수체내 분포하고 있는 부유물질의 종류와 양 및 공간적 분포 파악은 수질문제와 재난 예방 및 생물의 서식환경 문제를 파악하고 해결하는 데 매우 중요하다. 그러나 부유물질에 부착되어 있는 영양소, 금속, 살충제 등은 물 순환 시스템을 통하여 끊임없이 운반되고 상류유역의 흐름 조건에 따라 시공간적으로 변화하기 때문에 이를 규명하는 것이 매우 어려운 실정이다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 광역적인 탁수환경의 분석방법으로 원격탐사(Remote Sensing, 이후 RS) 기법을 이용한 방법이 제안되고 있다. 이미 선진국에서는 광역수계의 수질관리를 위해 RS 기법을 이용하여 신속하고 정확한 수질상태 파악을 시도하고 있으며, 우리나라에서도 KOMPSAT 발사를 계기로 RS 관련 기술이 비약적으로 진화하고 있다. 그러나 RS 데이터를 활용하는데 필수적인 분광학적 특성 규명에 대한 연구는 대부분 식생과 토양에 한정되어 있으며 수체에 대한 연구는 현장조사의 어려움으로 인하여 상당히 제한적인 수준이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 탁도의 변화에 따른 분광반사 특성을 휴대용 분광복사계를 이용하여 규명하고, 이를 Landsat 위성영상에 적용하여 새만금 유역을 대상으로 완공 직후인 2006년부터 2010년까지의 탁수환경을 모니터링 하였다. 그 결과 새만금 유역 탁수환경을 정성적으로 확인할 수 있었으며, 이를 이용하여 탁수환경 연구에 RS 기법이 효과적임을 제시하고자 한다.

Estimation of distributed groundwater recharge rate in Jincheon (진천지역의 분포형 지하수 함양률 산정)

  • 효율적인 지하수 관리를 위해서는 시공간적인 변동성을 고려한 지하수 함양률의 정량적 산정이 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 지표수-지하수 연동해석이 가능하며 토지이용 특성과 국내 토양특성을 가장 잘 표현할 수 있는 한국형 장기 유출 모형 SWAT-K를 이용하여 진천지역의 분포형 지하수 함양량을 산정하였다. 행정경계와 수자원단위지도에서 제시하는 표준단위유역을 기준으로 하여 진천군을 포함하는 미호천유역을 SWAT-K 구동을 위한 모델영역으로 설정하여 주하도를 따라 34개의 소유역으로 구분하였다. SWAT-K를 구동하기 위해서는 기상 및 수문자료를 구축해야 하는데 강우량을 비롯하여 기온, 풍속, 일사량, 상대습도 등의 기상자료가 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 대상유역 내에 위치한 청주, 충주, 대전, 이천, 보은, 천안 기상관측소의 자료를 이용하여 기상자료를 구축하였으며, 모형의 계산시간, 모형결과의 정확도 등을 판단하여 30m 공간해상도를 가지는 DEM을 300m 공간 해상도로 가공하여 사용하였다. 토지이용도는 모의시 다양한 토지이용상태를 반영할 수 있도록 중분류(1:25,000) 토지이용도를 사용하였다. 토양도는 국립농업과학원에서 토양도 전산화 사업을 통해 구축된 1:25,000 축척의 정밀토양도를 사용하였다. SWAT-K를 이용하여 진천군을 포함한 미호천 전체유역에 대해 지표수-지하수 통합 물수지 분석 결과(2004년~2009년) 연평균 강수량 대비 유출률은 66.6%, 증발산률은 34.6%, 함양률은 20.8%로 나타났다. 지표수 유출과정과 지하수위 변동을 동시에 고려하여 산정한 소유역별 연간 함양량 결과를 산정하였고, 총 34개의 소유역별 연간 지하수 함양량을 제시하였다. 또한 SWAT-K 모형을 이용한 모델 영역중 진천군에 속하는 행정구역별, 표준권역별 연평균 함양량을 산출하였으며, 그 분석 결과 진천군 평균 함양률은 20.5%로 산정되었다.
