A study of a Japanese goblin character:Centered around the making method of goblins' image (요괴 캐릭터 연구:요괴 이미지의 생성원리를 중심으로)

  • This paper examined the goblin characters in Japan animation. The meaning of the goblin in this paper is not a just monster. They have a spirit. This concept is based on animism in japanese mind. I attempted a chase of goblin character's making methods. My theoretical approaches lean on the concepts "inter-textuality" of Julia Kristeva and "text" of Roland Barthes. First of all, I compared some beings of the old chinese myth-geographical book with some characters of Japan animation . The making method of goblin characters is two. One is 'Hybrid', the other is 'Mutant'. And than I appled to Japanese traditional image, "Baek-kuy-ya-hang-do"(hundreds of goblins' parade). The making method of goblins is combined to a inter-textual way as hybrid or mutant.

Teacher Feedback on Process-Centered Assessment for Scientific Argumentation (과학적 논의를 활용한 과정중심평가에서의 교사 피드백 유형 사례 연구)

  • This study investigates the types of teacher feedback in the process-centered assessment for scientific argumentation. The process-centered assessment visualizes the process of developing scientific argumentation at a group level. Four teachers and 353 high school students participated in this study. We analyzed video recordings, the collaborative modeling-argumentation papers, and teachers' interviews. The findings indicate that the teachers provided feedback on scientific concepts and the development of small group argumentation. We presented a representative case for each category in detail. The study suggests that teachers' efficient use of feedback leads to improvement in students' self-regulation. This study contributes to providing specific and useful guidelines on the use of process-centered assessment for enhancing students' scientific argumentation.

  • The purpose of study is to find ways to improve online research work in the near future environment. Study methods and results are as follows. First, the basis of research was secured through theoretical consideration. Second, three types were derived by collecting examples. There are reward, execution and visualization. Third, comprehensive matrix and directions were derived through case analysis. According to the study, the most frequently used phase of AI technology were analysis, visualization, execution, casting, design, and matching, The direction of use of AI can be largely divided into work efficiency, human thought assistance, and changes in research methods. But the plan phase is generally scarce. Overall, the lack of in function is provided, including AI technology. At a time when research plans are becoming more important as users and products diversify.

  • The aim of this paper is to help learners develop algorithmic thinking skill to solve a problem using LAMS and to draw their interest in learning through various learning activities to solve it. LAMS has the advantages of easy teaching contents' design and implementation and of an offer of sequential learning under various learning environments. The designed contents were applied to elementary school students' learning and a questionnaire survey was conducted. They showed positive responses, on the one hand, they hoped that various kinds of learning would be provided including not only data sorting but also technical contents related to computer. For further study, it is necessary to revise and supplement conceptual principals or contents of computer education in elementary and junior high schools.

  • New media art moves out of place and time constraints, sublimates the benefits of technology into art, and presents a new way of communication with the audience. This paper analyses the tendency of nonverbal communication methods by analysing examples of facial expressions and sound used in new media art from early times. As a result, it can be seen that the digital paradigm in the new media art has a nonlinear thinking, which makes a perceptual reduction of immersion and dispersion. The facial expression in new media art made it possible not only to overcome the limit of space and time of various expressions through 'visual distortions, enlargement, and virtualisation', but also to enable new ways of communication to display facial parts combined or separated in the digital environment. The sound in new media art does not stay in auditory sense, but pursues multi-sensory and synesthesia by cooperating with visual and tactile, evolves by revealing characteristics of space expansion and sensibility and interaction of audience.

  • "안전한 작물보호제"라는 말이 있다. 그렇다면 "안전"이란 어떠한 성질을 말하는 것일까. 신문 등에 과거 DDT의 이야기가 실릴 때에는 "독성이 강한 농약 DDT${\cdots}$"등과 같이 "독성이 강한"이라는 표현을 붙이는 경우가 많다. "독성이 강하다"라는 것은 어떠한 성질을 말하는 것일까. 올해 전, 모 신문은 '식염수를 마시고 사망한 소녀의 이야기"를 전했다. 구내염(口內炎)으로 아파하는 소녀에게 부모가 식염수로 양치를 시키자 더욱 괴로워했다. 그래서 엄하게 꾸짖으며 억지로 마시게 했더니, 염분의 농도가 짙어서 사망했다고 한다. 식염은 과연 "독성이 강한"것일까. 쉽게 사용해서는 안 되는 "안전"이나 "독성"이란 말은 어떤 의미를 갖는 것일까. 먼저 작보제에 대해서 약간의 문제점을 정리해보기로 하겠다. 그리고 작보제 안전성에 대해서 구체적이고 정석적인 이야기보다는 기본적인 개념을 주로 다루어 보고자 한다.

  • It is generally considered from the point of view of macroeconomics that inflation has an effect favorable to the owners of tangible assets in the allocation of assets and lightens the burden of debtors in the redemption of their liabilities. But, this effect of inflation has not yet been fully verified in the case of individual firms. Accordingly, in this article I will examine the effect of inflation on the financial and investment decisions of individual companies.

  • 본 연구는 최근 널리 보급된 스마트 모바일 단말의 제한된 디스플레이에서 사용자에게 짧은 시간에 효율적으로 핵심 정보를 제공함으로써 사용자 편의성을 향상 시킬 수 있는 사용자 인터페이스(User Interface, UI)를 연구하기 위해 사용자 위치 기반 교통 신호 안내 시스템(Location Based Traffic Signal Guide System, LBTGS) 의 UI 설계에 관한 연구이다. 시각 정보와 음성 정보를 활용하여 짧은 시간에 사용자가 전방 교통 신호 정보를 인지하도록 하여 안전한 도로 운행에 반영할 수 있는 UI 를 효과적으로 설계함으로써 신호 위반으로 인한 교통 사고의 발생을 감소시킬 수 있다. 또한 보다 직관적으로 짧은 시간에 인식할 수 있는 UI 를 설계하여 스마트 모바일 단말의 제한된 디스플레이에서 향상된 사용자 경험을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • With the advent of high-speed railways, railways are one of the most frequently used means of transportation at home and abroad. In addition, in terms of environment, carbon dioxide emissions are lower and energy efficiency is higher than other transportation. As the interest in railways increases, the issue related to railway safety is one of the important concerns. Among them, visual abnormalities occur when various obstacles such as animals and people suddenly appear in front of the railroad. To prevent these accidents, detecting rail tracks is one of the areas that must basically be detected. Images can be collected through cameras installed on railways, and the method of detecting railway rails has a traditional method and a method using deep learning algorithm. The traditional method is difficult to detect accurately due to the various noise around the rail, and using the deep learning algorithm, it can detect accurately, and it combines the two algorithms to detect the exact rail. The proposed algorithm determines the accuracy of railway rail detection based on the data collected.

  • Time series data is a sequence of data points, measured typically at successive, spaced at time intervals. Many devices for an efficient exploration is developed according as the items of time series data increase. Among these devices, there is a Timebox widget as a representative device of dynamic query for interactive data exploration. Timeboxes are rectangular query region of interest. The users can draw the region of interest using simple mouse manipulation and the query result sets is displayed. But there is a limitation to represent the concrete query region and Timeboxes visualize the query region inconsistent with the mental model of users. To resolve these problems, we propose a new device called DQB(Dynamic Query Band). DQB is a qeury region consisting of user defined polyline with a thickness on time series data. This device is possible to concretely specify the query region. Also, it provides a simple and convenient interface and a good conceptual model.
