Object Modeling for Mapping from XML Document and Query to UML Class Diagram based on XML-GDM (XML-GDM을 기반으로 한 UML 클래스 다이어그램으로 사상을 위한 XML문서와 질의의 객체 모델링)

  • Nowadays, XML has been favored by many companies internally and externally as a means of sharing and distributing data. there are many researches and systems for modeling and storing XML documents by an object-oriented method as for the method of saving and managing web-based multimedia document more easily. The representative tool for the object-oriented modeling of XML documents is UML (Unified Modeling Language). UML at the beginning was used as the integrated methodology for software development, but now it is used more frequently as the modeling language of various objects. Currently, UML supports various diagrams for object-oriented analysis and design like class diagram and is widely used as a tool of creating various database schema and object-oriented codes from them. This paper proposes an Efficinet Query Modelling of XML-GL using the UML class diagram and OCL for searching XML document which its application scope is widely extended due to the increased use of WWW and its flexible and open nature. In order to accomplish this, we propose the modeling rules and algorithm that map XML-GL. which has the modeling function for XML document and DTD and the graphical query function about that. In order to describe precisely about the constraint of model component, it is defined by OCL (Object Constraint Language). By using proposed technique creates a query for the XML document of holding various properties of object-oriented model by modeling the XML-GL query from XML document, XML DTD, and XML query while using the class diagram of UML. By converting, saving and managing XML document visually into the object-oriented graphic data model, user can prepare the base that can express the search and query on XML document intuitively and visually. As compared to existing XML-based query languages, it has various object-oriented characteristics and uses the UML notation that is widely used as object modeling tool. Hence, user can construct graphical and intuitive queries on XML-based web document without learning a new query language. By using the same modeling tool, UML class diagram on XML document content, query syntax and semantics, it allows consistently performing all the processes such as searching and saving XML document from/to object-oriented database.

  • In a cyber aquarium, the behavior of fish objects is the most important factor in respect of visual effects. In this paper, we analyze the principal habits of fish objects such as the vitality, the range of movement, the maximum depth of water they can live, and the cycle of eating. Then, we suggest a method for simulating the stable marine ecosystem with controlling the behaviors, the interaction with other species, the average span of life, and all that sort of thing based on the result of analysis. Because we can freely modify the behavior of fish object by altering the values of attributes, it can be utilized in the dynamic cyber aquarium, the 3D aquarium screen saver, and the cyber fish game, and so on.

  • SMIL(Synchronized Multimedia integration Language) allows integrating a set of independent multimedia objects into a synchronized multimedia presentation. In this paper, I propose modeling rules, formal models, modeling function and an algorithm for SMIL documents using use case diagram and sequence diagram of UML(Unified Modeling Language), It will be used the use case diagram and collaboration diagram for object-oriented visualizing tool to describe the temporal behavior of the presentation. The main contribution of this paper is that developers of SMIL documents easily generate them using this rules and algorithm. And, the formal models and modeling functions provide an environment for processing object-oriented documents.

  • This paper introduces a maintenance support tool for C++ programs. The tool was extended by adding a documentation supporting tool(DT) and an OOD/OOP style guidelines supporting tool(OOD\ulcornerP-GT) to previous work results, the complexity measurement tool(CT) and the visualization tool(VT). The tool was named C++ MT. For the extention, we studied a documentation method of object oriented programs, analyzed and grouped the OOD/OOP style guidelines suggested in some works. The DT developed in this paper helps programmer understand, cange, and est programs, and also extract the reuse components. OOD/P-GT provides guielines for programmer to improve program quality.

  • 날로 복잡해지고 거대해지는 시스템의 추세를 감안할 때 앞으로 시스템 분야의 주요 구성요소간 상호작용을 분석하여 최적의 시스템 운영방안을 도출하기 위해서는 시뮬레이션 기법의 도입이 필수적이다. Simplus 3D는 분석대상 시스템을 주요 객체 단위로 Model 상에 재구성하여 이들의 움직임과 주체적 의사결정 논리를 자체 서술어를 사용하여 묘사하도록 고안된 범용 그래픽 시뮬레이션 소프트웨어로 사용자가 정의한 Logic을 Procedure 또는 Function화하여 별도의 File에 저장하고 재활용 가능하며, 객체별 Logic Trace가 가능하여 객체 시나리오의 상세분석 및 Logic 디버깅이 용이하다. 또한 대상시스템의 특성에 따라 Macro한 수준의 개략적인 묘사부터 Micro한 수준의 제어 알고리듬에 이르기까지 묘사의 수준이 자유롭고, 시뮬레이션에 주로 사용되는 물류설비 및 Logic을 Module로 제공하며 필요시 Custom Logic을 추가할 수 있다. 분포형태는 일양분포, 지수분포, 정규분포 등 다양한 분포형태를 지원하며 9999개까지의 Random Number Seed 지정이 가능하다. 일반 PC에서도 실행 가능하며 3차원 Animation과 다양한 형태의 Report를 제공함으로써 비전문가나 의사결정자가 각종 대안에 대한 시뮬레이션 결과를 시각적으로 확인하여 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 하였다. Simplus 3D는 현재까지 생산시스템, 항만 및 교통 등의 분야에 광범위하게 활용되고 있으며, 본 논문에서는 기아자동차 WBS 물류시스템 시뮬레이션 모델과 고속도로 톨게이트 시뮬레이션 모델을 활용사례로 소개하고자 한다.

  • 가상공간의 시각적 렌더링에 있어서 카메라의 위치와 방향에 따라서 현재 보여지고 있는 장면의 복잡도가 달라지게 된다. 단순한 장면과 복잡한 장면이 혼합되어있는 경우에 렌더링의 프레임율이 크게 달라지게 되어서 사용자의 가상공간의 항해에 대한 카메라 이동 시에 끊김 현상이 느껴지게 된다. 본 논문에서는 장면이 복잡도에 크게 의존되지 않으면서 지속적으로 안정된 프레임율을 보장할 수 있는 기여도 컬링 기법을 제시한다. 컬링 기술은 복잡한 장면의 빠른 렌더링을 위해 필수적으로 사용되어왔다. 자연스럽고 빠른 렌더링을 위해 본 논문에서는 이미지 공간에서 모든 객체에 대한 바운딩 사각형의 넓이를 빠르게 계산한다. 영상 영역에서의 계산된 넓이가 작은 객체들을 프레임율을 만족시키도록 렌더링 파이프라인에서 제외시킨다. 전체적으로 기여도가 높은 객체들은 최대한 포함시키기 때문에 렌더링의 질을 보장한다. 복잡한 환경에서의 기여도가 작은 많은 객체들을 배제시킴으로써 속도를 향상시킨다. 실제 대도시의 일정 영역에 제안한 기법을 적용하여 본 결과, 복잡한 장면들이 질적인 저하 없이 균일하고 빠른 렌더링을 보장한다는 것을 보여주었다.

Semantic Cue based Image Classification using Object Salient Point Modeling (객체 특징점 모델링을 이용한 시멘틱 단서 기반 영상 분류)

  • Most images are composed as union of the various objects which can describe meaning respectively. Unlike human perception, The general computer systems used for image processing analyze images based on low level features like color, texture and shape. The semantic gap between low level image features and the richness of user semantic knowledges can bring about unsatisfactory classification results from user expectation. In order to deal with this problem, we propose a semantic cue based image classification method using salient points from object of interest. Salient points are used to extract low level features from images and to link high level semantic concepts, and they represent distinct semantic information. The proposed algorithm can reduce semantic gap using salient points modeling which are used for image classification like human perception. and also it can improve classification accuracy of natural images according to their semantic concept relative to certain object information by using salient points. The experimental result shows both a high efficiency of the proposed methods and a good performance.

  • Gaze estimation, which automatically recognizes where a user is currently staring, and object detection based on estimated gaze point, can be a more accurate and efficient way to understand human visual behavior. in this paper, we propose a method to detect the objects within the region of interest around the gaze point. Specifically, after estimating the 3D gaze point, a region of interest based on the estimated gaze point is created to ensure that object detection occurs only within the region of interest. In our experiments, we compared the performance of general object detection, and the proposed object detection based on region of interest, and found that the processing time per frame was 1.4ms and 1.1ms, respectively, indicating that the proposed method was faster in terms of processing speed.

  • The Object tracking by real-time image analysis is one of the major concerns in computer vision and its application fields. The Object detection process of real-time images must be preceded before the object tracking process. To achieve the stable object detection performance in the exterior environment, adaptive background model generation methods are needed. The adaptive background model can accept the nature's phenomena changes and adapt the system to the changes such as light or shadow movements that are caused by changes of meridian altitudes of the sun. In this paper, we propose a robust background model generation method effective in an illegal parking auto-detection application area. We also provide a evaluation method that judges whether a moving vehicle stops or not. As the first step, an initial background model is generated. Then the differences between the initial model and the input image frame is used to trace the movement of object. The moving vehicle can be easily recognized from the object tracking process. After that, the model is updated by the background information except the moving object. These steps are repeated. The experiment results show that our background model is effective and adaptable in the variable exterior environment. The results also show our model can detect objects moving slowly. This paper includes the performance evaluation results of the proposed method on the real roads.

  • Recently, the researches based on vision about user attention and action awareness are being pushed actively for human computer interaction. Among them, various applications of tabletop display system are developed more in accordance with touch sensing technique, co-located and collaborative work. Formerly, although supported only one user, support multi-user at present. Therefore, collaborative work and interaction of four elements (human, computer, displayed objects, physical objects) that is ultimate goal of tabletop display are realizable. Generally, tabletop display system designs according to four key aspects. 1)multi-touch interaction using bare hands. 2)implementation of collaborative work, simultaneous user interaction. 3)direct touch interaction. 4)use of physical objects as an interaction tool. In this paper, we describe a critical analysis of the state-of-the-art in advanced multi-touch sensing techniques for tabletop display system according to the four methods: vision based method, non-vision based method, top-down projection system and rear projection system. And we also discuss some problems and practical applications in the research field.
