In this paper, we investigated the flow of an incompressible viscous fluid past a sphere which is oscillated one-dimensionally over flow regimes including laminar flow at Reynolds number of 100, 200 and Strouhal number of up to 5000. In order to analyze flow and estimate critical Strouhal number, we introduce three-dimensional vortex element method. With this method, separation only appears in decreasing velocity region during the high Strouhal numbers. We find out that vorticity distribution around sphere is proportionl to the Strouhal number. And we can decide that low Strouhal number is below 100, high Strouhal number is above 500 from many results. Thus the critical Strouhal number(St) effected to the flow field is expected to be 100

This study is to reveal the significant value of astrology as a counseling tool beyond its unscientific means in prophecy and counseling effects on changes in adolescents' self-awareness with astrology. In astrology, personal self-awareness is related to the nature of the sun and the public self-awareness is associated with ascendants, or the persona. In addition, the location of the moon that governs emotion and basic and peripheral aspects of polarity, quality, and elements are analyzed to be applied to the scene of consultation in relation of social unrest. For this study, 24 subjects were selected randomly at the Youth Support Center in Gyeongsangnam-do city C who referred to be showing social maladjustment, problematic behaviors and so under probation. The subjects were divided into the experimental group (12) and control group (12). To measure the affects of astrology-utilized consultation and to assess changes of self-awareness and its sub-factors, analysis of variance was conducted repeatedly and statistically validated with the difference between the group (experimental, control) and test(pre, post). As the results, it was proven that the consultation using astrology is affective on increasing adolescents' self-awareness and it can be understood that astrology has a meaningful value as a consultation tool in the aspects of social science.

Coumestrol is one of phytoalexins synthesized in response to environmental stress, and commonly found in natural foods such as alfalfa sprouts, clovers, and soybean. In the present study, we investigated the mechanism underlying protective effect of coumestrol against UVB-induced photoaging in human dermal fibroblasts. We found that pretreatment with coumestrol enhanced the UVB-suppressed mitochondrial biogenesis through regulation of Sirt1 expression and activity, and its downstream gene regulation such as PGC-$1{\alpha}$, NRF1, and TFAM. Moreover, the ATP and ROS production was restored to normal status and the formation of advanced glycation endproducts leading to skin photoaging in skin fibroblasts was blocked by coumestrol pretreatment before UVB irradiation. These findings indicate that coumestrol might potentially prevent skin photoaging induced by mitochondrial damage and glycated protein production in dermal fibroblasts.

천공 요소는 유체 기계의 흡기계나 배기계의 소음기에 널리 사용되고 있으며, 스치는 유동 (grazing flow)과 통과하는 유동 (cross flow)을 접하게 된다. 천공 요소의 임피던스는 소음기의 음향학적인 특성에 영향을 미치게 된다 본 연구에서는 유동이 임피던스에 미치는 영향을 고려하기 위하여, 실험을 통하여 얻은 임피던스 값을 유동 레지스턴스 (flow resistance)와 종단 보정 비 (end correction ratio)로 나타내고, 스트롤 수 (Strouhal number)로 무차원 화하여 분석하였다 이를 난류를 고려하여 제안된 선행 임피던스 모델들과 비교하여 난류가 미치는 영향을 분석하였다.

콩은 중요한 식량 작물로 단백질, 기름 및 이차대사산물인 이소플라본을 다량으로 함유하고 있다. 이소플라본은 폴리페놀의 일종으로 일부 암을 예방하며 심혈관 질환을 완화하는 데에도 도움을 준다고 알려져 있다. 콩에 인위적으로 식물호르몬인 ABA를 처리할 때 이차대사산물인 kaempferol의 함량이 증가한다고 보고 되었다. 따라서 이 연구는 식물 생장조정제 처리가 콩잎의 이소플라본 함량에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 연구는 밀양 남부작물부 유리온실에서 수행되었으며, 콩(품종:선풍)은 와그너포트 1/2000에 1주 2본 파종하여 재배하였다. Ethephone(500, 1000, 2000 ppm)과 ABA(100, 200, 400 ppm)를 사용하였으며 각각 R2, R5, R7기에 처리하였다. 처리 후 잎을 5일 간격으로 3회 채취하여 이소플라본 6종과 쿠메스트롤의 함량을 분석하였다. 초고성능 액체 크로마토그래피(Acquity UPLC H-Class system, Waters)를 사용하여 분석하였다. 이소플라본 함량은 R5 단계에서 전반적으로 높게 나타났으며, R2 및 R7 단계에서는 무처리와 유사한 수준을 보였다. ABA를 처리하였을 때 생장조정제 간의 차이가 에테폰보다 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 쿠메스트롤 함량은 처리시간에 따라 R7, R5, R2 순으로 높은 것으로 확인되었으며, 처리시간이 지날수록 함량이 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 생장조정제 처리에 쿠메스트롤 함량은 ABA보다 에세폰 처리 시 더 높은 경향을 보였다.

영국 던로프의 기술진이 개발한 공기입타이어의 제3의 혁명이라고 할 수 있는 "던로프, 토오탈모오빌리티, 타이어"의 공개 실험이 행해졌다. 답정을 해도 바아스트롤 해도 공기없이 주행단속하길 300Km, 스피이드도 내면 100Km는 갈수 있다고 한다. 뿐만 아니라 승차감도 좋다고 하니 말하자면 "마법의 타이어"라고 할 수 있겠다. 그리고 보도관계자등 300명의 면전에서 그 타이어를 파열시켜서 주행해 보였다. 거기에는 마법은 아니고 새로운 타이어의 세계를 크게 느끼게 하는 기풍이 있었다. 그래서 본지는 테스트의 성공, 견학자의 높은 평가를 고려해서 기업의 마법인 연출(운영)과 기술(테스트)을 밐스해서 그날의 인기 타이어를 추적해 보았다. 주최자는 가우(sumitomo)고무공업, 일본던로프이다. 사실은 꼭 듯든 그대로였다.

The two-dimensional motion of a freely falling circular cylinder in an infinite fluid is investigated numerically using combined formulation. The effect of vortex shedding on the motion of a freely falling cylinder is clearly seen: as the streamwise velocity of the cylinder increases due to gravity, the periodic vortex shedding induces a periodic motion of the cylinder. This motion in turn affects the flow field, which is manifested by the generation of the angular velocity vector of the cylinder parallel to the cross product of the gravitational acceleration vector and the transverse velocity vector of the cylinder. A correlation of St-Re relationship for a freely falling circular cylinder is drawn from the present results. The Strouhal number for a freely falling circular cylinder is found to be smaller than that for a fixed circular cylinder when the two Reynolds numbers based on the streamwise terminal velocity of a freely failing circular cylinder and the free stream velocity of a fixed one are the same. From "thought experiments", it is shown that the transverse motion of the cylinder plays a crucial role in reducing the Strouhal number and has an effect of reducing the Reynolds number from the viewpoint of the pressure coefficient. The mechanism of this reduction in the Strouhal number is revealed by the fact that the freely falling cylinder experiences a smaller lift force than the fixed one due to the transverse motion resulting in the retardation of the vortex shedding.

본 논문에서는 실린더 주위유동의 B-mode에 해당하는 레이놀즈 수 300${\sim}$1000범위에서 고차 고해상도기법(OHOC Scheme)을 이용하여 원형 실린더 주위의 유동장 및 음향장 특성에 대해서 연구하였다. B-mode 레이놀즈 수 범위에서 스팬방향 길이에 따른 3차원 원형실린더의 스트롤 수, 양 항력계수의 상관관계에 대해 수치계산 및 실험 결과와 비교 분석한 결과 매우 잘 일치하는 것을 보였다. 그리고 이 결과를 토대로 하여 B-mode 불안정성 영역에서 보다 정확한 2차 와류 모사를 위한 적절한 스팬방향을 찾고, 3차원 후류유동의 불안정성이 음향장의 변화에 미치는 영향을 정성적으로 고찰하여, 3차원 원형실린더의 공력소음 대한 기초적인 연구를 수행하였다.

An experimental study is performed to investigate the characteristics of vortex shedding behind a circular cylinder with serrated fins using hot-wire anemometer. Strouhal numbers which are calculated using outer diameter of a circular cylinder with serrated fins are higher than that of a circular cylinder. Fin thickness and pitch are closely related with vortex shedding frequency and play increasing or decreasing vortex shedding after transient Reynolds numbers. Strouhal numbers using effective diameters which are proposed in this paper agree with that of a circular cylinder. After transient Reynolds number, a trend of Strouhal number can be estimated by checking the ratio of effective diameter to inner diameter.
