  • 이 논문은 MR 댐퍼를 적용한 맥퍼슨 타입의 반 능동 현가장치의 진동제어에 관한 연구를 보여준다. 맥퍼슨 스트럿의 기하학적 분석을 바탕으로 동역학 지배 방정식이 설립되었으며, 제어기 설계를 위해 평형 점 근처의 비선형적 운동이 선형화하였다. 이어서 시스템의 향상된 반응시간을 위해 새로운 적응 움직임 슬라이딩모드 제어기를 제안하였으며, 시뮬레이션을 통해 범프와 랜덤도로에서 차량으로 가해지는 진동에 따른 제어 성능을 기존슬라이딩모드 제어기 및 스카이훅 제어기와의 비교를 통해 우수성을 평가하였다.

  • This paper presents performance characteristics of a semi-active suspension featuring continuously variable ER (electro-rheological) dampers. These are evaluated through the field test of a passeng er car. Four ER dampers (two for front and two for rear part) are manufactured and their field-dependent damping properties are experimentally investigated. The damping force responses to step input fields are also identified by employing small size of high voltage amplifiers which are made adaptable to the field test. A skyhook controller considering the vertical, pitch and roll motions is formulated and incorporated with a car to be tested. The field test is then undertaken in order to evaluate both comfortability and steering stability showing bump, dive and squat responses.

  • This paper presents a novel type of a semiactive damper featuring an electro-rheological(ER) fluid. Unlike conventional cylindrical ER damper, the proposed one has controllable orifices by the intensity of electric fields (We call it orifice type). The dynamic model of the orifice type ER damper is formulated by incorporating field-dependent Bingham properties of an arabic gum-based ER fluid. Design parameters such as electrode gap are subsequently determined on the basis of the dynamic model. After manufacturing the orifice type ER damper, field-dependent damping forces and damping force controllability are empirically evaluated. In the evaluation procedure, conventional cylindrical ER damper is adopted and its performance characteristics are compared with those of the orifice type ER damper. In addition, the proposed one is installed with a full-car model and its vibration control performance associated with a skyhook controller is investigated.

현가장치의 성능향상을 위한 지능형 제어로직에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Knowledge Based Control Algorithm for Performance Improvement of the Automotive Suspension System)

  • Automotive suspension system is a mechanism for isolation of the vibration coming from the road inputs. Recently, the electronically controlled suspension systems which may improve ride and handling performance have been developed. Here, the continuously controlled semi-active suspension system is focused. As a mechanism to control damping forces continuously, a solenoid valve is used. The modeling for the solenoid valve is introduced briefly, a vehicle dynamics modeling is constructed, and then combined system model is completed. To design the efficient control algorithm for the semiactive suspension system the knowledge based fuzzy logic is applied and the technique how to apply the sky-hook theory to the fuzzy logic is developed. Finally, to confirm the improvement of performance the computer simulation is carried out.

  • This paper proposes a new bed stage system for vibration attenuation in patient compartment of ambulance. The bed stage which consist of four MR dampers can isolate vibration in the vertical, rolling and pitching directions. After evaluating dynamic characteristics of MR damper, 1/4 bed stage model is formulated. The sky hook controller is then utilized for vibration control. Finally, control responses of the bed stage equipped with MR dampers are presented.

  • 본 연구에서는 유체 유동에 의한 유연한 파이프의 진동 억제를 목적으로 하는 MR댐퍼를 포함한 새로운 형태의 파이프 지지대를 제안하고 평가하였다. 이를 위하여 파이프의 진동 특성에 적합한 새로운 형태의 MR댐퍼를 고안하였으며, MR댐퍼의 성능을 해석할 수 있는 수학적 모델을 구축하였다. 이를 이용해 MR댐퍼의 성능을 평가하였다. 또한, MR댐퍼를 갖는 파이프 지지대가 적용된 외팔보 형식의 파이프 시스템을 모델링하고, 이에 대하여 스카이훅 제어기를 적용하여 진동 제어 성능에 대한 해석을 수행하였다.

  • It is being accelerated to develop environment-friendly vehicles to solve problems on the energy and environment of earth. The electric driving motor commonly installed in these vehicles has the excellent control capability such as fast response and accurate generation to torque control command. Especially, in-wheel motor has the additional merit such as independently driving each wheel in vehicle. Recently, being developed various control algorithm to enhance the safety and stability of vehicle motion using actively the merits of in-wheel motor. In addition to that, being issued the possibility of enhancing the ride comfort and attitude of vehicle motion such as pitching and rolling. In this paper, investigate the theoretical relationship between the braking/driving force and the motion of sprung mass of vehicle and propose the control method to enhance the ride comfort and attitude of vehicle motion. The proposed control method is proved through the simulation with vehicle model provided by TruckSim software which is commercial one and specializes in vehicle dynamics.

ER 현가장치 및 ER 브레이크를 적용한 전체차량의 거동분석 (Maneuver Analysis of Full-vehicle Featuring Electrorheological Suspension and Electrorheological Brake)

  • This paper presents a maneuver analysis of a full-vehicle featuring electrorheological(ER) suspension and ER brake. In order to achieve this goal, an ER damper and an ER valve pressure modulator are devised to construct ER suspension and ER brake systems, respectively. After formulating the governing equations of the ER damper and ER valve pressure modulator, they are designed and manufactured for a middle-sized passenger vehicle, and their field-dependent characteristics are experimentally evaluated. The governing equation of motion for the full-vehicle is then established and integrated with the governing equations of the ER suspension and ER brake. Subsequently, a sky-hook controller for the ER suspension and a sliding mode controller for the ER brake are formulated and implemented. Control performances such as vertical displacement and braking distance of vehicle are evaluated under various driving conditions through computer simulations.

  • In this study, integration control of air-cell seat and semi-active suspension is proposed to minimize the road-tyre force which can cause uncomfortable feeling to rider. The proposed integration control with sliding perturbation observer is consisted of air-cell seat control which uses the force generated by air-cell and the sky-hook control. The air-cell seat itself has been modeled as a 1 degree of freedom spring-damper system. The actual characteristics of the air-cell have been analyzed through experiments. In this paper, we introduces a new robust motion control algorithm using partial state feedback for a nonlinear system with modelling uncertainties and external disturbances. The major contribution of this work is the development and design of robust observer for the state and the perturbation. The combination skyhook controller and air-cell controller using the observer improves control performance, because of the robust routine called Sliding Observer Design for Integration Control of Air-Cell Seat and Semi-active Suspension. The simulation results show a high accuracy and a good performance.

ER 유체를 이용한 CD-ROM 피딩 시스템의 진동 제어 (Vibration Control of CD-ROM Feeding System Using ER Fluids)

  • 본 연구에서는 전기장의 인가 유무에 따라 유체의 유변성질이 가역적으로 변화하는 ER(electro-rheological) 유체를 이용하여 CD-ROM(compact disc-read only memory) 마운트를 구성한 후 피딩 시스템의 진동제어를 수행하였다. 이를 위하여 우선 특수화학처리된 전분계 ER유체를 조성하였으며, 전단모드 및 유동모드하에서 전기장에 따른 항복응력을 실험적으로 도출하였다. 도출된 ER유체의 항복응력에 근거하여 복합모드형 CD-ROM 마운트를 설계, 제작하였다. 제작된 ER CD-ROM 마운트의 진동절연 특성을 주파수 영역에서 고찰하였으며 기존의 고무마운트 성능과 비교하였다. 나아가서 제안된 마운트를 장착한 정보저장기기 드라이브 피딩 시스템의 동적 모델링을 수행하였으며, 진동제어를 위한 스카이훅 제어기를 설계하였다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 여러 외란(가진) 조건에 따른 피딩 시스템의 진동제어 성능을 주파수 및 시간 영역에서 고찰하였다.
