Base Practice Importance Analysis by Software Process Assessors' Characteristics (소프트웨어 프로세스 심사원 특성에 따른 기본 프랙티스의 중요도 분석)

  • It is not simple to manage software quality, because software development process and product itself are very complex. Recently ISO/IEC 15504- international standard for software process improvement, capability determination and development - was completed and applied to many local trials, and their results are being reported as registered local trials. The first step of software process assessment is established by examining whether its base practices are performed and which level they are achieved. And as far as assessment responsibility and credibility are concerned, assessment is generally performed by team-based assessors. Therefore assessment team construction and its preference of practice importances have a great effect on the credibility and the objectivity of assessment. In this paper, we analyse a SPICE-based software process assessment trial by comparing base practice importances of assessed processes, which are expressed through a real assessment, with its final rating results. Survey data are collected from assessors and interviewees who were engaged in the SPICE trial that was performed by ISO/IEC 15504, and final data analysis are derived from the factor analysis method. It is convinced that the result of this paper is able to enhance the credibility of software process assessment by provisions of objective and rational criteria and preference information for assessment team construction and base practice importances in future.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the awareness of dental hygienists, who played a significant role in dental sector, about health care management and their needs for education in an attempt to pave the way for the development of a Dental Hygienist Coordination System(DHCS). The subjects were 156 dental hygienists at 85 dental clinics, who were selected in Gwangju based on the data released as of August 2008 by the Dental Association and public health centers in sampling region. A Questionnaire was conducted in person to gather survey data and SPSS 12.0 program was utilized to make a statistical analysis. This results findings suggested that a systematic curriculum should be developed by focusing on coordination theory and practice, counseling and educational practice, health insurance affairs and health insurance fee claim management.

  • 전자상거래는 구매자와 판매자 모두에게 많은 이점을 제공할 수 있어 최근 이에 관한 연구들이 많이 진행되고 있다. 특히 중소제조업체의 경우, 전자상거래라는 경영환경의 변화는 새로운 기회로 다가오고 있어, 상대적으로 기술력이 취약한 중소제조업체의 전자상거래를 지원하기 위한 요소 기술들의 개발 필요성이 점차 부각되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 중소 금형제조업체의 판매과정을 사이버 공간에서 수행할 수 있는 전자상거래 기술을 개발하였다. 일반적으로 변화하는 경영환경에서는 생산과 관련된 계획과 통제가 보다 더 신속하고 정확하게 이루어져야 한다. 즉 전자상거래 환경에서의 제조업체는 구매자가 요구한 제품의 생산과 납기일을 맞추어 줄 수 있는지의 여부를 실시간으로 응답할 수 있어야 한다. 나아가서 인터넷을 통해 접수된 주문들은 해당 제조업체의 생산능력을 초과할 수 있는데 이 때에는 접수된 주문들 중에서 자사의 이익을 극대화할 수 있는 주문집합을 선별하여 접수여부를 결정해야 한다. 이와 같이 전자상거래 환경하에서의 제조업체는 생산과 관련된 정보를 신속하게 전달 받아 주문접수여부에 관한 의사결정을 올바르게 수행하는 것이 중요한데 본 연구에서는 중소 금형제조업체의 일정계획 및 주문처리를 위한 일정계획 기반의 선정 에이전트의 구조와 방법론을 제시하였다. 지금까지 일정계획에 관한 연구들은 대부분 납기일의 만족과 비용의 최소화 측면을 위주로 다루었다. 그러나 본 연구에서의 문제는 비용의 최소화보다는 납기일을 준수하면서 가장 많은 이익을 가져다 줄 수 있는 최적주문집합을 선정하는 문제를 다루고있다.자료를 수집하고, 통계분석 패키지를 이용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 방식을 결합한 하이브리드 형태이다.인터넷으로 주문처리하고, 신속 안전한 배달을 기대한다. 더불어 고객은 현재 자신의 물건이 배달되는 경로를 알고싶어 한다. 웹을 통해 물건을 주문한 고객이 자신이 물건의 배달 상황을 웹에서 모니터링 한다면 기업은 고객으로 공간적인 제약으로 인한 불신을 불식시키는 신뢰감을 주게 된다. 이러한 고객서비스 향상과 물류비용 절감은 사이버 쇼핑몰이 전국 어디서나 우리의 안방에서 자연스럽게 점할 수 있는 상황을 만들 것이다.SP가 도입되어, 설계업무를 지원하기위한 기본적인 시스템 구조를 구상하게 된다. 이와 함께 IT Model을 구성하게 되는데, 객체지향적 접근 방법으로 Model을 생성하고 UML(Unified Modeling Language)을 Tool로 사용한다. 단계 4)는 Software Engineering 관점으로 접근한다. 이는 최종산물이라고 볼 수 있는 설계업무 지원 시스템을 Design하는 과정으로, 시스템에 사용될 데이터를 Design하는 과정과, 데이터를 기반으로 한 기능을 Design하는 과정으로 나눈다. 이를 통해 생성된 Model에 따라 최종적으로 Coding을 통하여 실제 시스템을 구축하게 된다.the making. program and policy decision making, The objectives of the study are to develop the methodology of modeling the socioeconomic evaluation, and b

Multi-copter Wind-tunnel Test (멀티콥터 풍동시험)

  • In order to improve the safety of the multi-copter, Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) performed a wind-tunnel test using an octocopter with the maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) of 28 kg. The wind-tunnel test was performed with three different RPM ranges, 3,500, 4,500 and 5,500 rpm, and three different wind speeds, 3.5, 5 and 7 m/sec. The tested range of the angle of attacks was $-40^{\circ}$ to $20^{\circ}degree$ and ${\pm}90^{\circ}degree$. Vortex ring state (VRS) of the tested multi-copter was located around the vertical descending speed of 6 m/sec and the decrement of thrust was about 13 % at the time of testing. Compared with the single propeller wind-tunnel test result, the propeller efficiency of the octocopter dropped to 10 to 15% depending on the propeller RPM. It is hypothesized that the obtained aerodynamic characteristics by the wind-tunnel test will be used to improve the performance and wind resistance of the multi-copter.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a scenario suited for our clinical situations and evaluate the application possibility by evaluating students' problem solving ability and learning satisfaction in simulation learning. This study consisted of contents which could be applied for varied situations such as complications and symptoms related to liver cirrhosis, looking into hyperkalemia symptoms of patients with liver cirrhosis in emergency unit. The stage of developing scenario was organized in the order of setting simulation learning objectives and situations of scenario, making algorithm, writing checklists of clinical performance appraisal, and debriefing. The scenario was constructed with monitor setting(actions), patient/mannequin(actions), expected interventions(events), and cues in chronological order, according to the scenario progression outline of Jeffries (2007). The scenario was used in 2011, consisting of 4-5 people per group of 53 senior nursing students who registered for 'clinical performance appraisal' course. The problem solving ability improved from a score of 4.05 before simulation learning to a score of 4.30 after simulation learning (t=-3.97, p<.001). The score for learning satisfaction after the simulation learning was high (4.09/5). Considering that simulation learning encouraged students to be the main body of class, this learning method can be the effective way of nursing education.

  • In this paper, a smart home service robot McBot II is newly developed in much more practical and intelligent system than McBot I which we had developed a few years ago. Thus far, vacuum-cleaners have lightened the burden of household chores but the operational labor that vacuum-cleaners entail has been very severe. Recently, a cleaning robot was commercialized to solve but it also was not successful because it still had the problem of mess-cleanup, which pertained to the clean-up of large trash and the arrangement of newspapers, clothes, etc. Hence, we develop a new home mess-cleanup robot McBot II to completely overcome this problem on real environments. The mechanical design and the basic control of McBot II, which performs mess-cleanup function etc. in house, is actually focused in this paper. McBot II is mechanically modeled in the same method that the human works in door by using the waist and the hands. The big-ranged vertical lift and the shoulder joints to be able to forward move are mechanically designed for the operating function as the human's waist when the robot works. The mobility of McBot II is designed in the holonomic mobile robot for the collision avoidance of obstacle and the high speed navigation on the small area in door. Finally, good performance of McBot II, which has been optimally desinged, is confirmed through the experimental results for the control of the robotic body, mobility, arms and hands in this paper.

A Study on the Seismic Performance Improvement of Mid and Low-Rise RC Grid Structures Using Steel Slab Hysteretic Damper (강재 슬래브 이력형 댐퍼(SSHD)를 이용한 중·저층 RC 격자 구조물의 내진성능 향상에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: After analyzing the seismic capability of low-rise RC grid structures with insufficient seismic performance, the purpose of the project is to install steel slab hysteretic dampers (SSHD) to improve the seismic performance of beams and columns, and to suggest measures to minimize damage to the structure and human damage when an earthquake occurs. Method: The evaluation of the seismic performance of a structure is reviewed based on the assumption that the seismic performance is identified for the grid-type subway systems that are not designed to be seismic resistant and the installation of an SSHD system, a method that minimizes construction period, if insufficient, is required. Result: After the application and reinforce of structure with SSHD, and the results of eigenvalue analysis are as follows. The natural periodicity of longitudinal direction was 0.55s and that of vertical direction was 0.58s. Conclusion: As results of cyclic load test of structure with SSHD, the shear rigidity of damper is 101%, the energy dissipation rate is 108% and, plastic rotation angle of all column and beam is satisfied for $I_o$ level and therefore it is judged that the reinforce effect is sufficient.

The Effects of Watching TV Programs on Employees' Stress and Communication (TV 프로그램 시청이 직장인의 스트레스 및 의사소통에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of watching TV on employees' stress and communication levels. We developed a 30 minutes-long TV watching program for this study. Participating employees were asked to watch the 30 minutes-long TV programs during their lunch hours for 20 weeks. The stress and communication levels were measured before and after the experiment. The results show that in general, both the average stress level and communication level were statically significantly improved for all the participated employees except those in the 20s. The biggest improvement in stress and communication levels was made in those in the 30s. In sum, the 'Watching TV programs' had a positive impact on the reduction of stress and the increase of communication abilities for the employees. This is believed to be the first employer initiated attempt in Korea to tackle employees' stress and communication problems with the implementation of the TV watching program concept.

The Validation of the Play Participation Attitude Scale for Parents of Preschoolers (영유아 부모의 놀이참여태도 척도 타당화 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to validate the Play Participation Attitude Scale for parents of preschoolers, which was developed by the Delphi survey. 447 parents of 9 daycare centers in Seoul and Incheon were recruited for this study and, finally, data from 339 parents were used to perform exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and reliability analysis. The results of the study are as follows. First, factor analyses revealed that the global fit of the sensitively play (7 items), responsively play (6 items), and delightfully play(7 items) three-factor model was good. Second, the internal consistency of the Play Participation Attitude Scale was good. Third, there was a statistically significant positive correlation between the current scale and the parents' playfulness scale, indicating concurrent validity. Finally, higher scores of the Play Participation Attitude Scale and its three factors significantly predicted lower scores of parenting stress and higher scores of the preschoolers' self-control ability. These findings revealed that this new measure to be both valid and reliable and specifically suggests what kind of attitude is appropriate for parents to adopt when participating in preschoolers' play.

A Study on Quality Improvement through Analysis of Hub-reduction Failure Occurrence Mechanism for Military Vehicles (군용차량 허브리덕션 고장 메커니즘 분석을 통한 품질개선 연구)

  • For the tactical vehicles operated by the Korean army, the hub-reduction portal axle was applied considering Korea's topographical characteristics. Hub-reduction was applied to a Korean military vehicle to increase the vehicle body to secure ground clearance and improve the driving capability on rough roads, such as unpaved and field land by increasing the torque. The Korean military is operating tactical vehicles after various performance tests, including durability driving, but wheel damage occurred in one of the vehicles operating in the front units. Failure analysis revealed many damaged parts, including the hub, making it difficult to determine the cause. Therefore, an analysis of the failure occurrence mechanism for each damaged part was conducted, which confirmed that the cause of wheel breakage was a hub. Furthermore, the root cause of the hub breakage was a crack due to internal pores and foreign matters. In addition, a realistic improvement plan that can be applied throughout the design, manufacture, and shipping stages was presented using the fishbone diagram analysis. The derived improvement plan was verified through unit performance tests, including CAE and actual vehicle tests, and by reflecting this, the driving safety of Korean tactical vehicles was improved. Finally, it is expected that the proposed method for analyzing the failure occurrence mechanism will be used as reference material when analyzing the quality problems of similar military vehicles in the future.
