  • The purpose of the research was to analyze the characteristics and the process elements which appeared to the process of designing experiment for biologists and gifted students in science. Four biologists and thirty-two gifted students were participated in this study. The findings indicated that (a) the researcher figured out the process elements could constructed in fifteen elements such as confirming questions, arrange materials, consideration for experimental subjects, searching variables, eliminating variables, selecting variables, planning operation of variables, planning control environmental variables, planning control biological variables, planning the methods of observation and assessment, planning the methods of collecting data, planning the interpretation of data, planning the repetition of experiments, planning the repetition of assessment, safety regulations as well. The biologists concentrated in the particular process elements related with variables, since the science-gifted students concerned the performance whole process elements themselves without deeper consideration, (b) the characteristics of biologists and science-gifted students in the process of designing experiment were as follows; 1) biologists and students showed the process elements which include the domain specific process skills as well, 2) biologists accurately conducted the designing experiments processes with repetition of specific process, since students designed experiments conventionally, and 3) biologists possessed the domain specific skills and know-how about their experiments, but students did not. The results show that the programs of designing experiment activity should be constructed with the process elements which were concentrated by biologists, should provide feedbacks to design experiment more accurately, and should be developed with concern of the process skills and know-hows of biologists.

  • The goal of this paper was to understand the skill-up experiences of ex-participants of the customized training program in Technical High Schools for Small and Medium Business during first 2 years in Company through qualitative interviews with 3 purposefully selected ex-participants. Their core skill-up experience in this period was assumed as the shift from' dependent worker' to 'independent worker' on the base of literature review. The results of this study were following : 1. The small and medium companies offered a few formal training for newcomers, production-site orientation through short job rotation, linking them with skilled workers and job manuals or job standards. 2. Authentic skill-up experiences were combined with a structured reprimand, peer learning, deep learning through reflection on one's own experiences. 3. There were a few handicap conditions that disturbed their skill-up activities: the skilled worker don't open their skill toward new corner; the ex-participants in company had no time to learn anything meaningful to up-grade their competency.

  • This study was performed to find out the patterns of Listeria spp. contamination during Kimbab preparation at the specialized restaurants. Samples were collected from ingredients, containers, equipments, and environments from two Kimbab restaurants from July through September, 2004. Isolation rate of Listeria spp. was $43.2\%$ among 264 samples. Strains isolated were Listeria innocua $35.9\%$, L. murrayi $6.8\%$, and L. grayii $0.3\%$. No L. monocytogenes was detected. Contamination level of ingredients, containers, equipments, and Kimbab sampled during afternoon was all significantly higher than the samples collected during morning(P < 0.05). The most influencing factor of contamination was improper handling or no disinfection procedures during Kimbab preparation. Safety controls are recommended as follows; prevention of cross-contamination during ingredients Preparation, temperature control for ingredients and Kimbab during holding, cleaning and disinfection of chopping boards and knives during preparation processing, and frequent changes of disposable gloves. Kimbab restaurants should recognize the importance of safety control using the Good Hygienic Practices.

  • Using webometric big data, this study examines the diversity of online information sources about the novel coronavirus causing the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, it focuses on some 28 countries where confirmed coronavirus cases occurred in February 2020. In the results, the online visibility of Australia, Canada, and Italy was the highest, based on their producing the most relevant information. There was a statistically significant correlation between the hit counts per country and the frequency of visiting the domains that act as information channels. Interestingly, Japan, China, and Singapore, which had a large number of confirmed cases at that time, were providing web data related to the novel coronavirus. Online sources were classified using an N-tuple helix model. The results showed that government agencies were the largest supplier of coronavirus information in cyberspace. Furthermore, the two-mode network technique revealed that media companies, university hospitals, and public healthcare centers had taken a positive attitude towards online circulation of coronavirus research and epidemic prevention information. However, semantic network analysis showed that health, school, home, and public had high centrality values. This means that people were concerned not only about personal prevention rules caused by the coronavirus outbreak, but also about response plans caused by life inconveniences and operational obstacles.

  • As Limestone mines have been operated with various environmental, societal and managemental problems depending on their characteristics and developing methods, many great efforts have been applied to solve these problems. Installing the mining facilities underground is one of the successful efforts to keep the sustainable limestone mine development. This effort could reduce these problems. However, unfortunately it made an side effect of constructing a large underground space in mining site. Moreover, this space caused a necessity of various disaster managements for the safety of workers and facilities. This study introduces the priority list of a limestone mining process if there are disasters in underground mining site. This result is coming from the risk assessment and business impact analysis on survey data which were obtained from the miners of that particular limestone mine. According to the result, the highest risk is 'disregard of safety guidelines in crushing & classifier process'. The result also shows the highest priority business, above all things, is 'a pit linked work of in & out process'.

  • The Marine Safety Culture Index (MSCI) was developed in the year 2018 for objectively assessing the public safety culture levels and for incorporating it as data to spread knowledge regarding the marine safety culture. The method for calculating the safety culture index should include issues that may affect the safety culture and should consist of appropriate attributes for estimating the current status. In addition, continuous verification and supplementation are required for addressing social and economic changes. In this study, to determine whether the questionnaire designed by marine experts reflects the people's interests and needs, we analyzed 915 marine safety proposals. Text mining was employed for analyzing the unstructured data of the marine safety proposals, and network analysis and topic modeling were subsequently performed. Analysis of the marine safety proposals was centered on attributes such as education, public relations, safety rules, awareness, skilled workers, and systems. Eighteen questions were modified and supplemented for reflecting the marine safety proposals, and reliability of the revised questions was analyzed. Furthermore, compared to the previous year, the questionnaire's internal consistency was improved upon and was rated at a high value of 0.895. It is expected that by employing the derived marine safety culture index and incorporating the improved questionnaire that reflects the requirements of marine experts and the people, the improved questionnaire will contribute to the establishment of policies for spreading knowledge regarding the marine safety culture.

  • Because of continuous outbreaks of disasters and emergencies, the importance of government crisis management has been increased. This study analyzed the Korean government's response messages during the 2015 MERS outbreak, which was an emergency issue that showed a great ripple effect. According to the three diffusion phases of MERS, the semantic network analysis of 134 press releases on the central and local governments' official web sites of MERS was conducted. The results showed that during the early stage of MERS, the central government misperceived the crisis situation, and as a result, specific and enough information was not provided promptly regarding a list of hospitals with known MERS exposure and prevention method. During MERS diffusion and decline stages, Seoul and Gyeonggi-do provided more specific and actionable messages than the central government. This study was meaningful in that it analyzed and evaluated crisis communication messages during an outbreak of the infectious disease. The findings of this study provide useful implications for government officials in their crisis management and communication strategy during emergency risk situations.

  • The reason of source for a tragic death by the occurrence of an event is $\ulcorner$unobservant of safety rule,$\lrcorner$ $\ulcorner$negligence of staff,$\lrcorner$ $\ulcorner$deficiency of responsibility$\lrcorner$ and $\ulcorner$deficiency of safety value$\lrcorner$ and for certain reason that is insufficiency of space for safety education also think little of a people, unobservant of safety rule, selfishness and so on. It makes new and specific plan that is simulation room before I compare the inside and outside of the country for a nation the reform of consciousness. Next, go ahead with a plan for about safety-simulation room. The Government can support to plan if it make a proposal to center of Government. It should be make a people of safety system, and it build the safety-simulation room $1{\sim}2$ in the city or county. And, the city cannot build the big safety-simulation room the reason are size of building and money. Accordingly, it will be make a system and installation for different type of safety-simulation room for about calamity, disaster and different type of accident in Korea. It must be build the building of space that should be make a space of knowledge and information by many books and media, develop of education program from life-safety.

  • The purpose of this study was to present the direction of the safety manual in the food service industry kitchen. The accident rate in food industry kitchens is around 87.2%, it meaning nearly 9 workers have accident among 10, considered to be very high. The most common accident is a knife cut wound (84.7%). And burns caused by hot water and oil (74.4%), then shown slip and falls (28.1%). The degree of fulfillment of kitchen safety awareness and safe environment varied based on gender, in which male are considered more likely to suffer from accidents than women. The level of safety perception varies between workers at different career points. Workers with 1~3 years of experience suffer the highest rate of accident, while workers with 7~10 years and more of experience are believed to be at lower risk of accident. Restaurant type did not exhibit a significant influence on accidents cases, although differences in the adoption of personal safety, even partially, were discovered, at significance of 0.01 < 0.027 < $0.05^*$. Based on these results, this paper has suggested preventive safety management validation model the food service industry based on kitchen management and incident management, and presented steps necessary.

  • Purpose: This study aims to investigate if 2D analysis method is applicable to analysis of CBCT by comparing measuring points of CBCT with those of Adjusted 2D Lateral Cephalogram (Adj-Ceph) with magnification adjusted to 100% and finding out at which landmarks the difference in position appear. Materials and methods: CBCT data and Adj-Ceph (100% magnification) data from 50 adult patients have been extracted as research objects, and the horizontal (Y axis) and vertical (Z axis) coordinates of landmarks were compared. Landmarks have been categorized into 4 groups by the position and whether they are bilaterally overlapped. Paired t-test was used to compare differences between Adj-Ceph and CBCT. Results: Significant difference was found at 11 landmarks including Group B (S, Ar, Ba, PNS), Group C (Po, Or, Hinge axis, Go) and Group D (U1RP, U6CP, L6CP) in the horizontal (Y) axis while all the landmarks in vertical (Z) axis showed significant difference (P<.05). As a result of landmark difference analysis, a meaningful difference with more than 1 mm at 13 landmarks were indentifed in the horizontal axis. In the vertical axis, significant difference over 1 mm was detected from every landmark except Sella. Conclusion: Using the conventional lateral cephalometric measurements on CBCT is insufficient. A new 3D analysis or a modified 2D analysis adjusted on 19 landmarks of the vertical axis and 13 of the horizontal axis are needed when implementing CBCT diagnosis.
