  • Recently, because of increasing in downpour and typhoon, which are caused by climate changes, those sedimentation disasters, such as landslide and debris flow, have become frequent. Those sedimentation disasters take place in natural slope. In order to predict debris flow damage range within wide area, the response model is more appropriate than numerical analysis. However, to make a prediction using Random Walk Model, the regional parameters is needed to be decided, since the regional environments conditions are not always same. This random Walk Model is a probability model with easy calculation method, and simplified slope factor. The objective of this study is to calculate the optimal parameters of Random Walk Model for Umyeon mountain in Seoul, where the large debris flow has occurred in 2011. Debris flow initiation zones and sedimentation zones were extracted through field survey, aerial photograph and visual reading of debris flow before and after its occurrence via LiDAR DEM.

  • Many internet portals provide maps with spatial information services. Recently, various images including aerial, satellite, street view, and photo-realistic 3D city models are provided as well as maps. This study suggested a method for geometric correction of the panoramic aerial images in the internet portal and 3D building modeling using information which is available in the internet. The key of this study is to obtain all necessary data easily from internet without restrictions. Practically, the ground control coordinates could be available from geo-referenced internet maps, and stereo pairs of the aerial images and close-range photographs for photo-realistic object modeling are provided by the internet service. However, the ground control points are not suitable for accurate mapping. RMSE of the plotting was about 9 meters and reduced upto 4 meters after coordinate transformation. The proposed methods would be applicable to various applications of photo-realistic object modeling which do not require high accuracy.

  • This study examined the accuracy that produced using various types and combinations of landslide-related factors from landslide susceptibility index maps. A database of landslide-related factors was adopted by the landslide locations that obtained from aerial photographs, and the topographic factors that derived from airborne LiDAR observations and digital maps, and various soil, forest, and land cover. Landslide susceptibility index maps were calculated by logistic regression and frequency ratio from the landslide susceptibility index. The correlation between airborne LiDAR data and digital map was shown strong similarities with one another. Landslide susceptibility index maps indicated the existence of a strong correlation and high prediction accuracy, especially when the frequency ratio and airborne LiDAR were used. Therefore, we concluded that the Airborne LiDAR will contribute to the development of effective landslide prediction methods and damage reduction measures.

  • According to the development of technologies for generating the 3D spatial information, the needs for producing and updating the precise 3D objects with LoD 4 level are increased. On the other hand, the needs for real-time updating of 2D digital maps are expanded, based on the execution of various GIS projects. These 2D informations can be extracted from precisely constructed 3D spatial information, to do this the feasibility studies on extraction of the 2D information from the 3D spatial information is needed. In this study, 3D objects are modeled using multi-oblique images, and the objects are stereo-plotted using digital airborne images, as well. Then the two data sets are compared and analyzed. The results show that the accuracy assessments fulfill the 1/1,000 digital map accuracy standard of regulations for photogrametric surveying of National Geographic Information Institute, but the shapes and the areas of building objects are different between two data sets because of the portrayal standards. Consequently, researchers can conclude that it is possible to generate the building layer of large scale topographic map using multi-oblique images, but additional researches is needed to resolve the problems on differences of the portrayal standards.

  • Open pit mines for limestone mining require rapid development of technologies and efforts to prevent safety accidents due to rapid deterioration of the slope due to deforestation and rapid changes in the topography. Accurate three-dimensional spatial information on the terrain should be the basis for reducing environmental degradation and safe development of open pit mines. Therefore, this study constructed spatial information about open pit mine using UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) and analyzed its utility. images and 3D laser scan data were acquired using UAV, and digital surface model, digital elevation model and ortho image were generated through data processing. DSM(Digital Surface Model) and ortho image were constructed using image obtained from UAV. Trees were removed using 3D laser scan data and numerical elevation models were produced. As a result of the accuracy analysis compared with the check points, the accuracy of the digital surface model and the digital elevation model was about 11cm and 8cm, respectively. The use of three-dimensional geospatial information in the mineral resource development field will greatly contribute to effective mine management and prevention of safety accidents.

  • In this paper, the acquisition of digital imagery and the orthoimage generation were performed to set up working process. And another purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the accuracy of orthoimage by overlapping digital topographic map and digital cadastral map on it. The digital topographic map and digital cadastral map were superimposed on the orthoimage to check the accuracy as another approach of evaluation. The RMSE is ${\pm}0.364m$ in X direction and ${\pm}0.413m$ in Y direction with digital topographical maps(1/5,000). And the RMSE is ${\pm}1.283m$ in X direction and ${\pm}1.085m$ in Y direction with digital cadastral map. It is necessary for the application of a newly developed digital aerial camera to make an exact synchronization between GPS/IMU data and image data, use a technology for setting a standard image resolution and the number of ground control points.

  • Since large portal service providers started web services for 3D city models around the world using spatial imagery, the competition has been getting intense to provide the models with the higher quality and accuracy. The building models are the most in number among the 3D city model objects, and it takes much time and money to create realistic model due to various shapes and visual appearances of building object. The aforementioned problem is the most significant limitation for the service and the update of the 3D city model of the large area. This study proposed a method of generating realistic 3D building models with quick and economical texture mapping using multiple spatial imagery such as aerial photos or satellite images after reconstructed geometric models of buildings from building layers in digital maps. Based on the experimental results, the suggested method has effectiveness for the generation of the 3D building models using various air-borne imagery and satellite imagery quickly and economically.

  • The study area is a slope in Dogye-eup, Samcheok-si, Gangwon-do. The cutting method was applied to this slope for stabilization in 2009 due to the influence of the waste-rock dump located at the top of slope. Recently, soil cracks and creep have occurred on this slope, and the drainage channel was damaged. Therefore, it was analyzed the topography change through photogrammetry using a UAV. Orthophotos were taken in April and October 2019 respectively. From the Orthophots, Digital Surface Model (DSM) was extracted. Time series analysis was performed by comparing each DSM. The topography of October was pushed forward while maintaining the topography of April. Through these features, it is judged that the soil creep is occurring in this study area.
