  • The size and shape of the human body has been an important factor not only in anthropology but in integration of designs aimed for daily use. Although the three-dimensional measurements have been proposed and obtained introducing new methods, there still remains many problems concerning how to analyze and evaluate the results. In this study, we have got the internal and external orientation factors, image coordinates from the ac-quired photographs, have calaulated the object coordinates through Bundle Adjustment, have matched multi-images. have drawn the object in the computer, and smoothly handled the surface of the body model using the Au-to-CAD system or graphic processing utility then we could generate the digital model of human body. The. results show that once digital modeling of the body is generated. the information which a designer needs can be acquired and the adequate calculations for many application fields can be done easily and many geometrical properties could be extracted. Therefore we propose the possibility of indirect human body measurement through digital model generation.

  • In this study, 3D positioning of CCT digital imagery was done by using a personal computer image processing method to increase the economic and time efficiency of SPOT satellite imagery. Image matching technique which applies statistical theories, was applied to acqusition of satellite imagery. The reliability of these coordinates was anlysed to presente a new algorithm for three dimensional positioning necessary in digital elevation modelling and orthophoto production. In acquiring image coordinates from CCT digital satellite imagery, accuracy of planimetric and height coordinates was improved by applying the image matching technique and it was found through analysis of correlation factors between sizes of target window that 19$\times$19 pixels was the most suitable size for image coordinate acquisition. From these results, it was able to present an algorithm about utility of digital imagery in the analysis of SPOT satellite data.

  • In this study, we investigate the feasibility of modeling entire image strips that has been acquired from the same orbital segments. We tested sensor models based on satellite orbit and attitude with different sets(Type1 ~ Type4) of unknowns. We checked the accuracy of orbit modeling by establishing sensor models of one scene using control points extracted from the scene and by applying the models to adjacent scenes within the same orbital segments. Results indicated that modeling of individual scenes with 1st or 2nd order unknowns was recommended. We tested the accuracy of around control points, digital map using the HIST-DPW (Hanjin Information Systems & Telecommunication Digital Photogrammetric Workstation) As a result, we showed that the orbit-based sensor model is a suitable sensor model for making 1/25,000 digital map.

  • The border of the shorelines in a nation is an important factor in determining the border of a national territory, but Korea's shorelines are rapidly changing due to the recent rise in sea level from global warming and growth-centered economic policy over the decades of years. This research was done centering on the areas having well-preserved shorelines as they naturally are and other areas having damaged shorelines in their vicinities due to artificial structures at the two beaches located at the neighboring areas and having mutually homogeneous ocean conditions with each other. First, this research derived the shorelines using the aerial photographies taken from 1947 until 2007 and revised the tidal levels sounding data obtained from a hydrographical survey automation system consisting of Echosounder[Echotrac 3100] and Differential Global Positioning System[Beacon]by using topographical data and ships on land obtained by applying post-processing Kinematic GPS measuring method. In addition, this research evaluated the changes and dimensional variations for the last 60 years by dividing these determined shorelines into 5 sections. As a result, the Haewundae Beach showed a total of 29% decrease rate in dimension as of the year 2007 in comparison with the year 1947 due to a rapid dimensional decline centering on its west areas, while the dimension of the Gwanganri Beach showed an increase in its dimension amounting to a total of 69% due to the decrease in flow velocity by artificial structures built on both ends of the beach-forming accumulation; thus, it was found that there existed a big difference in deposition & accumulation tendency depending on neighboring environment in spite of the homogeneous ocean conditions.

  • This study investigated the ground displacement occurring in a slope below a waste-rock dumping site and estimated the likelihood of a disaster due to a landslide. To start with, photogrammetry was conducted by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to investigate the size and extent of the ground displacement. From April 2019 to July 2020, the average error rate of the five UAV surveys was 0.011-0.034 m, and an elevation change of 2.97 m occurred due to the movement of the soil layer. Only some areas of the slope showedelevation change, and this was believed to be due to thegroundwater generated during rainfall rather than the effect of the waste-rock load at the top. Sensitivity analysis for LS-RAPID simulation was performed, and the simulation results were compared and analyzed by applying a digital elevation model (DEM) and a digital surface model (DSM)as terrain data with 10 m, 5 m, and 4 m grids. When data with high spatial resolution were used, the extent of the sedimentation of landslide material tended to be excessively expanded in the DEM. In contrast, in the result of applying a DSM, which reflects the topography in detail, the diffusion range was not significantly affected even when the spatial resolution was changed, and the sedimentation behavior according to the river shape could be accurately expressed. As a result, it was concluded that applying a DSM rather than a DEM does not significantly expand the sedimentation range, and results that reflect the site situation well can be obtained.

  • In this study, we analyzed the sharpness of UAV-images using the gradient formula and produced a MATLAB GUI (Graphical User Interface)-based sharpness analysis tool for easy use. In order to verify the reliability of the proposed sharpness analysis method, sharpness values of the UAV-images measured by the proposed method were compared with those by measured the commercial software Metashape of the Agisoft. As a result of measuring the sharpness with both tools on 10 UAV-images, sharpness values themselves were different from each other for the same image. However, there was constant bias of 011 ~ 0.20 between two results, and then the same sharpness was obtained by eliminating this bias. This fact proved the reliability of the proposed sharpness analysis method in this study. In addition, in order to verify the practicality of the proposed sharpness analysis method, unsharp images were classified as low quality ones, and the quality of orthoimages was compared each other, which were generated included low quality images and excluded them. As a result, the quality of orthoimage including low quality images could not be analyzed due to blurring of the resolution target. However, the GSD (Ground Sample Distance) of orthoimage excluding low quality images was 3.2cm with a Bar target and 4.0cm with a Siemens star thanks to the clear resolution targets. It therefore demonstrates the practicality of the proposed sharpness analysis method in this study.

  • In order to carry out aerial photogrammetry using GPS/INS, it is necessary to apply exterior orientation parameters, obtained while making a photo, to the editing process. It should be noted that the verification process of aerial mapping result is the most crucial process at the GPS/INS based digital photogrammetry. To this end, this study has compared the mapping result by the ways of AT results, plotter, and orientation, which is from basis of the Analytical raw map produced by the existing AT results. When comparing the horizontal and vertical accuracy of the analytical mapping with that of digital restitution, it could be found that the latter is more accurate than that of the former. In addition, it was reveled that the horizontal error was bigger than that of vertical one. Even though the accuracy of the GPS/INS based AT Direct orientation was three times poorer than the of indirect one, it was recognized that the photogrammetry process was effectively performed in the application of scale 1:5000 mapping with satisfying the allowance errors.

  • Even though existing methods for orthophoto production in traditional photogrammetry are effective in large areas, they are inefficient when dealing with change detection of geometric features and image production for short time periods in small areas. In recent years, the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), equipped with various sensors, is rapidly developing and has been implemented in various ways throughout the geospatial information field. The data and imagery of specific areas can be quickly acquired by UAVs at low costs and with frequent updates. Furthermore, the redundancy of geospatial information data can be minimized in the UAV-based orthophoto generation. In this paper, the orthophoto and DEM (Digital Elevation Model) are generated using a standard low-end UAV in small sloped areas which have a rather low accuracy compared to flat areas. The RMSE of the check points is σH = ±0.12 m on a horizontal plane and σV = ±0.09 m on a vertical plane. As a result, the maximum and mean RMSE are in accordance with the working rule agreement for the airborne laser scanning surveying of the NGII (National Geographic Information Institute) on a 1/500 scale digital map. Through this study, we verify the possibilities of the orthophoto generation in small slope areas using general-purpose low specification UAV rather than a high cost surveying UAV.

  • Eulsukdo located in the Nakdong Estuary plays important role in ecosystem and coastal wetland. There have been various changes in Eulsukdo up to now. Recently, we expect a great change of the western part of shoreline in Eulsukdo due to the floodgate construction but there is few databases. In this study, shorelines were digitized after we had produced the ortho-images by using aerial photos taken for 30 years(8 times). SCE, NSM and EPR were analysed by DSAS 4.2 program using vector data. In addition, the changes of shoreline were analysed in October 2011 from before Eulsukdo water gate construction to now by adding field surveying with VRS. The amount of years shoreline change is -0.34m/yr in 2009(before water gate construction) and -0.50m/yr in 2011(during the water gate construction), and the change trend shows an accumulation aspect.
