Characteristics and breeding of a new cultivar Pleurotus eryngii var. ferulae, 'Beesan No.2' (아위느타리 신품종 '비산2호'의 육성 및 자실체 특성)

  • To develop a new cultivar of King oyster mushroom white variety (Pleurotus ferulae), GW10-68 as parental strain was selected by the method of Di-mon crossing between monokaryotic strain ASI 2798-24 derived from ASI 2798 and dikaryotic strain ASI 2803. The GW10-95(ASI 2803 ${\times}$ ASI 2798-24) was shown the best cultural characteristics, selected to be a new cultivar and designed as 'Beesan No.2'. The 'Beesan No.2' was formed incompatibility line distinctly in the confrontation growth of parental strains ASI 2803, ASI 2798 and Beesan No.1. Analysis of the genetic characteristics of the new cultivar 'Beesan No.2' showed a different DNA profile as that of the control strains, ASI 2803, ASI 2798 and 'Beesan No.1', when RAPD(Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA) primer URP4 was used. The optimum temperature and pH arrange for mycelial growth were $25^{\circ}C$ and pH5~8, respectively. Fruiting body production per bottle was about 123.3 g. And also the stipe was long. This new cultivar 'Beesan No.2' of Pleurotus ferulae was characterized white-like variety of King oyster mushroom in the color of stipe, that was long and low yield compared to that of other cultuvar 'Beesan No.1'. We therefore expect that this new strain will increase of export and substitute cultivar of King oyster mushroom.

And also the stipe was thick and long. This new cultivar 'Beesan No.1' of Pleurotus ferulae was characterized by fast fruitbody formation, the stipe was thick and long and high quality yield compared to that of other cultuvars. We therefore expect that this new strain will increase of farmer's income by construction of stabilized production system.

  • In this study, pro-oxidant($d2w^{(R)}$) and rPP/ZnO nanocomposite flexible films for food packaging were prepared, and their mechanical and antimicrobial properties were investigated. As a result, the carbonyl index and hydroxyl index increased with exposured time to heat and UV rays. Surface analysis showed that the addition of zinc oxide improved the dispersibility and compatibility of the polymer, so that the surface of the composite film was smooth and the zinc oxide particles were smaller than the compared film. And it kept the physical properties by heat and UV ray blocking effect, and it worked to reduce decomposition. In the antimicrobial activity test, the microbial reduction rate was 3 logs or more at the use concentration of zinc oxide. The tensile strength was increased and the elongation was decreased. Oxidative degradability of multi-layered film in UV exposured for 72 hours, the molecular weight of the film decreased by 75.6%, 1,294 g/mol Mn and 5,920 g/mol Mw. In the safety analysis of food packaging materials, we obtained that are in standard of polypropylene, a food contact material of domestic law.

  • Korea's trade balance in service showed surplus in 2012 on the basis of BPM5. This is recorded by 14 years since 1999. This owes to decrease of deficit in tourism balance, increase of surplus in construction and transportation, and shift from deficit to surplus, even in small portion, in personal cultural recreational services balance. While externally the global economic growth becomes inactive and the Korean Won has appreciated, internally Korean service industry is very weak and is not equipped with international competitiveness. This study intends to look into service surplus items and services deficit items and to present measures that will be able to strengthen competitiveness in service industry. As a short case study, German and Japan was benchmarked, as they are the countries which are developed on the basis of manufacturing like Korea. And in this study, by analyzing surplus items and deficit items in trade balance sheet, it is attempted to suggest policies which would be available for strengthening service industry. As the service industry is a highly value-added one, it is necessary to designate promising categories and intensively foster as strategic industry. Service industry has their own characteristics distinguished with manufacturing goods. It has very different logistics and payment system with manufacturing industry. It means there must be independent support systems which reflect the nature of industrial classification in service industry. It is necessary to provide export support system, to organize export market development group, to support marketing, to set common logistics center, to support diplomatic means, to provide legal service and so on.

  • This study examines internationalization determinant factors, motivation and goal of internalization, market entry methods, timing, region, internalization strategy and access method, internationalization performance and success factors, problems and troubles of internalization, and ultimately suggests internalization strategies for domestic venture companies. The study found that interior factors of internationalization determinant factors are characteristics of new firm and technological capabilities while exterior factors include narrow domestic market, industrialization level, competition level, product life cycle, economy of scale, and global network. Motivation was found to include securing and preoccupying market, cost reduction and efficient production through moving of production base, and the necessity of network formation.

Selection of Suitable Cultivars for the Hydroponics of Sweet Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) in the Alpine Area in Summer (착색단고추 고랭지 하계 수경재배용 품종 선발)

  • This experiment was investigated to select suitable cultivars for the hydroponics of sweet pepper in the alpine area in summer. Sweet pepper plants were grown in the greenhouse in Jinbu (550m above sea level), Pyungchang, Korea. Seeding and transplanting of the 12 sweet pepper cultivars were done in February and April, respectively. The sweet pepper fruits were harvested every week from July to November. Seven cultivars were chosen from the 12 tested cultivars. 'Special' and 'Cupra' for red, 'Boogie', 'Fellini' and 'President' for orange, and 'Fiesta' and 'Derby' for yellow had more fruit sets, the more percentage of standardized products for the export to Japan, and higher yield than the other cultivars. This result has shown various characteristics among or within the cultivars. This study would provide the basic database of cultivars and give the information about control vegetative and reproductive growth to the farmers cultivating sweet pepper.

  • In order for Busan New Port to secure more trading volumes than the competing ports at home and abroad, an alternative plan for the new port management policy needs to be sought. By the way, aiming to minimize trial and error while maximizing effect in establishing and driving the new port management policy, there is necessity of referring to the developmental strategies of the advanced ports such as Singapore and Hong Kong that are possessing the globally leading position as well as maximizing the substantial value added and the employment-creation effect even qualitatively. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to propose for a reasonable development strategy for Busan New Port in line with conditions and characteristics of Busan New Port by comparing and analyzing conditions and characteristics of these two advanced ports and by comparative analysis on the developmental strategy according to this.

  • The size of Korean and global cosmetic industry market are consistently growing and the domestic cosmetic industry's rate of total production increase is higher than GDP in Korea. In addition, the Korean Wave has strengthened not only this phenomenon but also the increase of exports. For these reasons, the purpose of this paper is to analyze Korean cosmetic industry regarded as a new growth engine. For this study, Porter's Value Chain theory, Mudambi's Smile of Value Creation, Cosmetic GMP by ISO, and the production process on cosmetic industry are used as tools. As a result, Korean cosmetic industry comprises five nodes value chains: R&D, Raw Material Manufacture, Container Manufacture, Cosmetic Manufacture, and Marketing. And then, based on this result, the spatial analysis is conducted to identify spatial distribution characteristics of each node.

A Study on the Korean Red Ginseng Packaging (홍삼의 패키지 현황과 디자인 개선 방안)

  • The value of Korean ginseng has been known in the world since the 4th century B. C. Red ginseng is hot-steamed, and then dried for the purpose of long-term storing. Through the steaming and drying process, its moisture rate is reduced to 14% and its color becomes citrine or light yellowish brown. Its hardened structure enables long-term storage without any deformation. Especially, Korean red ginseng contains substances that promote micro-physiological activities which are not found in American or Sanchi ginseng. Ginseng is produced in diverse forms for the customer's convenience. In this study, these are classified as sliced, dried, and honeyed ginseng, granulated tea, extract, powder, capsules, tablets, drinks and candy. Package design is one of the most effective method in the marketing fields. However, in this research, we found that red ginseng packages are not variously and properly developed in materials and designs. The research pointed out the problems and discuss ways and means of the package design.

  • 최근 자동차의 고속경향화 추세는 많은 진전을 보고 있으며 또 앞으로도 많은 연구와 노력이 경주되어야 하리라고 본다. 그 가운데 하나로 스프링의 경량화는 대략 다음과 같은 3방향에서 연구되고 있다. 1) 복합재료, 즉 GFRP(carbon fiber reinforced plastics), 나아가서는 BFRP(born fiber reinforced plastics)의 탄선과 경량성을 이용한 스프링. 2) 형상, 즉 구조적인 면에서 스프링소재를 후판으로 사용함으로서, 다매물에서 단매 또는 소수 매의 거물곡선 스피링(parabolic taper spring)으로의 변진. 3) 고응력 사용, 즉 종래의 스프링량보다 높은 탄성을 가진 재료로써 스프링 응력을 톺게 사용할 수 있는 강종의 개발 등이다. 특히 3)의 탄성한을 \ulcorner이는 문제는 2)의 후재화와 더불어 열처리성, 가공성 등이 문제가 되어 이에 따라 신강종으로서의 변천을 강요하게 된다. 그러므로 국제경쟁력을 강화하기 위하여 각국 들이 활발하게 연구 및 개발을 추진하고 있는 현상이다. 우리나라의 경우 현재 제작기술은 어느 정동 많이 축적되고 있으나, 아직 R&D면에서는 점진적으로 추진되고 있다. 이와 같은 실정에서 자동차산업의 국제화와 더불어 종래 사용된 스프링강재의 재검토가 우리나라에서도 긴급히 필 요하게 되었따. 그 예로서 KS SPS5(JIS SUP9)의 강종이 종래 일본에서 자동차용스프링의 대 종을 이루고 있던것이 최근에는 SUP9A로 전환되고 있다. 이것은 SUP9A는 SUP9보다 기계적 성질이 우수하며, 또한 자동차분야의 세계제일위인 미국의 SAE5160재와 일지되고 있다. 그러므로 국제화 경향과 더불어 SUP9종은 SUP9A로 전환되고 있으므로서 우리 나라의 경우에도 자동차 스프링의 수출용은물론이고, 국내용에도 SUP9A에 해당하는 규격이 제정되고, 또한 빠른 전환이 필요하다고 본다. 이와 같은 국제적인 추세는 SUP6을 SUP7H종으로 더욱 향상된 것이 실용 화되고 있다. 아래에서 이에 대한 기계적 특성을 중심으로 검토키로 한다.
