Application of Successive Cavity Expansion Theory to Piezocone Tests. (피에조콘 관입 시험에 대한 연속 공동확장이론모델의 적용)

  • 본 연구는 피에조콘(Piezocone) 관입 시험에 의한 과잉간극수압의 소산(Dissipation)특성을 파악하기 위하여, 실측된 소산실험 결과치와 Gupta & Davidson에 의해 개발된 연속 공동확장이론(Successive Cavity Expansion Theory) 모델을 비교하였고, 그 경험적 이론의 적합성을 규명하였다. 연속 공동확장 이론이란, 콘 관입이 유발하는 관입 주변지반의 변환 메커니즘을 연속적인 공동확장의 전개과정로 파악할 때, 관입주변의 연속적 공동확장 영역에서 발생된 과잉간극수압들은 연속적으로 소산되어지고, 결국에는 관입멈춤직후 얻게 되는 소산시험의 결과도 이러한 과잉간극수압의 연속적 소산 메커니즘으로부터 그 영향을 받는다는 개념이다. 본 연구의 실험방법은 Piezocone 관입을 위한 연약모형지반 조성을 위하여 초대형 Slurry Consolidometer에 Slurry를 45일간 압밀시킨후 Calibration Chamber(Louisiana State University Calibration Chamber System)에 옮긴 후 2차 압밀시키는 Two-Stage Consolidation Method를 사용하였다. 또한 모형지반내에 8개의 Piezometers를 설치하여 Piezometers를 설치하여 Piezocone 관입시 유발되는 지반 내에서의 과잉간극수압의 변환을 측정하였다. 실험결과와 이론 예측치를 비교함으로써 연속 공동확장이론 모델은 u$_2$형식의 피에조콘 관입 소산시험 결과들과 잘 들어맞는 모습을 보여줬으나, 관입으로 인한 주변 지반의 과잉간극수압의 소산변화는 정성적으로만 모사 되는 모습을 보여줬다.

Evaluation of Structural Stiffness Degradation and Burst Pressure Measurement of the FM Kick-Motor Combustion Case (킥모터 FM 규격 연소관에 대한 강성저하 평가 및 파열압력 측정)

  • A hydraulic test on a filament wound case of Kick-Motor was conducted to evaluate the structural stiffness degradation and to confirm the burst performance. Failure criteria have been defined with bursting above 150% of MEOP(Maximum Expected Operation Pressure) and failure in the cylinder. The analysis result showed that filament fiber in the cylinder should be broken at about 2088psig. From a hydraulic test it has been verified that composite case meets the failure requirements, and that the stiffness does not decrease even after a year since the manufacturing.

  • The analytic solution of radial displacements of thin cylindrical pressure vessel with carbon fiber T700/Epoxy orthotropic composites was obtained using equilibrium equations of the orthogonal curvilinear coordinate system. The governing equations with the simplified strain versus displacement relation of 3-dimensional curvilinear coordinate system were derived from the variational principle and the virtual work principle. Some theoretical analyses were presented and compared with the results of hydraulic tests for the pressure vessels with some various thicknesses. The results of the theoretical analysis and the hydraulic test were reasonably matched.

Pore Pressure Behavior of Normally Consolidated Deep Sea Clay (정규압밀된 심해점토의 간극수압 거동)

  • This paper presents triaxial test (CIVC and CKOUC) results on normally consolidated deep sea clay samples. Based on the test results the pore pressure-strain relations for both isotropicaly and anisotropicaly consgidated samples are expressed with hyperbolic functions of the major princpal strain. The analysis of the difference in pore pressure behavior due to the anisotropy in consolidation stress is carried out with the effective stress pathos of CIVC and CKOUC and finds a factor which correlates the pore pressure of two types of test.

  • A pyrogen type igniter was designed to satisfy the requirements of KSLV-I Kick Motor system. To insure the reliability of the igniter before the production of the flight model, we have been performed the structure, environmental, combustion tests. The hydraulic test was carried out to confirm the strength of the components of the igniter. The shock and vibration tests were considered to check whether the igniter operates normally under the severe environmental condition. The combustion tests were also performed to understand the ignition characteristics with the variation of initial condition. Finally, we confirmed that the igniter could provide the acceptable energy to ignite the propellant of kick motor at the ground test.

  • The hydrodynamic ram (HRAM) phenomenon is one of the main types of ballistic battle damages of a military aircraft and has great importance to airframe survivability design. The HRAM effect occurs due to the interaction between the fluid and structure, and damage can be investigated by measuring the pressure of the fluid and the dynamic strains on the structure. In this paper, HRAM test of a composite T-Joint was performed using a ram simulator which can generate HRAM pressure. In addition, calibration tests of PVDF sensor were performed to determine the circuit capacitance and time constant of the measurement system. The failure behavior of the composite T-Joint due to HRAM pressure was examined using the strain gauges and a PVDF sensor which were attached to the surface of the composite T-Joint.

  • Tests of hydraulic rock splitting were conducted using double packer at the 1, 2 free surface in the limestone mining and granodiorite Suksan area, respectively. The method of hydraulic rock splitting was applying hydraulic power in the interval layer using double packer. As a result of tests, a crack occurred. At about 6.5 MPa and 13 MPa, a crack occurred in 2 free surface. Any crack did not occur in the 1 free surface. Rather, used 1 double packer was broken in the 1 free surface. Also, it was confirmed that the water pressure of the interval increased through the existing crack and the new crack in the test areas.

Consideration on Influence Factor in Predicting Undrained Shear Strength and Pore Pressure Coefficient Using Critical State Theory (한계상태이론을 이용한 비배수 전단강도 및 간극수압계수 예측시 영향인자에 관한 검토)

  • 한계상태이론은 정규압밀 및 과압밀시료에 대한 비배수 전단강도와 간극수압계수에 관한 식을 제안하고 있는데, 이 식은 3가지 상수를 포함하고 있다. 한계상태상수(M), 한계상태 간격비(${\gamma}$), 한계상태 간극수압계수(Λ)가 바로 그것이며, 이러한 상수는 각 모델 및 구하는 방법에 따라 그 차이가 발생함으로서, 전단강도 및 간극수압계수의 예측시 적지 않은 영향을 미치게 된다. 본 논문에서는 재 성형된 이암풍화토를 이용하여 등방삼축압축시험을 정규압밀과 과압밀로 나누어 실시하고 그 결과를 분석하였으며 이를 토대로 각 모델 및 방법에 따른 상수를 도출하였다. 그리고 이러한 상수의 차이가 비배수 전단강도 및 간극수압계수의 예측에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 시험결과 정규압밀시료의 경우 각 상수의 변화에 따른 비배수 전단강도 및 간극수압계수는 상당한 차이를 보였으며, 한계상태간격비와 Λ값을 강도비로부터 얻어진 값을 사용한 경우가 결과치에 가장 잘 근접함을 알 수 있었다. 과압밀시료의 경우 역시 이들 상수에 따라 전단강도의 변화폭이 크게 나타났으며 정규압밀과 마찬가지로 강도비에서부터 도출된 상수를 적요한 경우 실측치에 가장 근접하였다. 반면 간극수압계수의 예측시에는 상수에 따른 변화폭이 크지 않았으며, 특히 과압밀비가 증가할수록 각 상수에 대한 영향이 작게 나타났다.
