Investigation of Water Evaporation from Biomass with Different Torrefaction Environments (반탄화 환경변화에 따른 바이오매스의 수분증발에 관한 연구)

  • Owing to the Increasing use of fossil fuels, worldwide concerns over environmental pollution are increasing. As a solution, ligneous biomass has emerged as a promising alternative fuel in recent times. Therefore, in this study, a moisture evaporation model that largely influences the energy density and efficiency of ligneous biomass is studied using a numerical approach. Furthermore, the thermal characteristics are analyzed in terms of torrefaction temperature and moisture fractions in the wood, and the type of wood species. The results show that the temperature and moisture fractions of wood decrease with an increase in the torrefaction temperature. In particular, when the torrefaction temperature is lower than 423K, there were little changes in the moisture fraction in the wood. Furthermore, it was found that charcoal is produced more slowly as the moisture fraction in the wood increases.

  • 본 연구에서는 MODIS(MODerate resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) 다중 위성영상을 기반으로 전국 시공간 토양수분 및 토양수분 기반의 가뭄지수 SWDI(Soil Water Deficit Index)를 산정하였다. 시공간 토양수분의 산정을 위해 입력자료로 MODIS 위성의 지표면온도(Land Surface Temperature, LST), 증발산 및 식생(Enhanced Vegetation Index, EVI; Fraction of Photosynthetically Active Radiation, FPAR; Leaf Area Index, LAI; Normalized Difference Vegetation Index, NDVI) 관련 산출물 자료와 지상 관측자료인 일 단위 강수량 자료를 구축하였다. MODIS 위성영상은 산출물별로 제공되는 QC(Quality Control) 영상을 활용해 보정을 수행하였고, 공간 강수량 자료는 기상청에서 제공하는 전국 92개 지점의 종관기상관측자료를 구축하여 공간보간기법인 역거리가중법을 적용해 생성하였다. 실측 토양수분은 농촌진흥청에서 제공하는 76개 지점의 토양 깊이 10 cm에 설치된 TDR(Time Domain Reflectomerty) 센서에서 측정된 토양수분 자료를 활용하였으며, 토양수분 모의 시 토양 속성을 고려하기 위해 국립농업과학원에서 제공하는 토양도를 구축하여 활용하였다. 토양수분 산정 모형은 다중선형회귀모형(Multiple Linear Regression Model, MLRM)을 활용하였으며, 계절 및 토성에 따른 회귀식을 산정하였다. 회귀식 기반의 토양수분과 토성별 포장용수량 및 영구위조점 값을 이용하여 SWDI를 산정하고, 실제 가뭄 발생 시기 및 지역과의 비교하고자 한다.

  • 수분은 변압기의 절연 상태를 악화시키고 결국은 권선의 단락이나 1, 2차간의 절연 파괴로 이어져 변압기 고장의 주요 원인이 된다. 본 논문에서는 변압기의 절연물인 절연지와 절연유에 대해서 회복전압 측정법을 이용한 열화상태 진단에 대한 측정을 통해 변압기내에 존재하는 수분의 온도 특성을 실험했다. 실험 결과 변압기내 온도에 따른 수분은 절연유보다 절연지의 영향을 크게 받는 것으로 나타났고, 이는 변압기에 사용된 절연지인 셀룰로오스계 절연지의 수분 흡착성이 강하고, 온도가 증가함에 따라 수분을 생성하는 특성 때문인 것으로 판단되었다.

Effect of Chitosan Addition on the Shelf-Life of Bread (키토산이 식빵의 Shelf-Life에 미치는 영향)

  • 키토산과 키토올리고당을 첨가한 식빵의 저장성을 조사하기 위하여 제빵시 키토산을 3%, 1%, 0.1%, 그리고 키토올리고당 1%를 첨가하여 저장 중 수분의 변화, pH의 변화, 미생물의 변화 등을 살펴보았다. 저장 중 수분의 변화는 첨가농도의 영향에 따라 저장기간이 경과할수록 수분이 감소하였는데, 그 폭은 대조구에 비해 완만하였다. 또 pH의 변화는 제빵 후 1일에는 키토산의 첨가량(3%, 1%, 0.1%)이 많을수록 pH가 높았으며, 저장 4일 이후부터 약간씩 낮아졌다. 그리고 키토올리고당 첨가구와 대조구는 처음부터 비교적 낮았으며 저장 기간에 따라 변화도 완만하였다. 그리고 생균수의 변화에 있어서는 키토산 0.1% 첨가구에서는 대조구에 비해 큰 차이가 없는 반면, 키토산 1%, 3% 첨가구에서는 농도에 따라 1∼2일 정도 생성이 늦었으며, 특히 키토올리고당 1%의 경우 3일 정도 느렸다. 또한 곰팡이 생성에 대한 육안 관찰에서도 대조구에서는 저장 3일째부터 곰팡이의 생성이 확인되었으나, 키토산 0.1% 첨가구에서는 4일째에 확인되었고, 키토산 1%와 3% 첨가구에서는 5일째에, 그리고 키토올리고당 1% 첨가구에서는 6일째에 관찰되었다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 볼 때 식빵 제조시 키토산 및 키토올리고당을 첨가할 경우 식빵의 shelf-life 연장에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Nitrogen mineralization of oil cakes according to changes in temperature, moisture, soil depth and soil texture (유박의 온도, 수분, 토심, 및 토성에 따른 질소의 무기화)

  • To investigate the characteristics of the nitrogen mineralization of oil cakes according to changes in temperature(10, 20, $30^{\circ}C$) moisture(40, 50, 60, 70% of field capacity in loam and 50, 60, 70, 80% of field capacity in sandy loam), mineral nitrogen was measured in soil after incubation for 30 days. In addition, the mineralization in sandy loam and loam which had different soil texture were compared. According to incubating the castor seed, soybean, and rice bran cakes with soil, the higher the temperature and moisture content were, the higher the content of mineral nitrogen was observed. The content of mineral nitrogen was higher in sandy loam than loam. The content of mineral nitrogen was decreased with soil depth increasing and was also higher in sandy loam than loam.

  • The effect of gamma irradiation on production and accumulation of aflatoxin on natural substrate (barley) by Aspergillus parasiticus NRRL 2999 has been studied in some detail. Gamma irradiation at five doses, 0, 50, 100, 200 and 400 Krad was applied to the grain either soon after moisture equilibration (3 days after inoculation) or 10 days later (13 days after inoculation). And the results were as in the followings. 1. Increase in moisture content from 17% to 25% greatly increased the aflatoxin concentration, especially at zero irradiation dose. 2. Prolongation of the incubation period prior to irradiation from 3 to 13 days resulted in greater accumulation of aflatoxin. 3. Two hundreds Krad applied 13 days after inoculation on barley stored at 25% moisture (100% RH) and $25^{\circ}C$ led to higher aflatoxin production than 100 Krad or even 50 Krad. 4. The relative proportion of the principal aflatoxins in relation to irradiation showed that aflatoxin G was elaborated at a significantly higher rate than aflatoxin B.

Manufacturing of Meat Flavor Extract used for Browning Reaction (Browning Reaction을 이용한 Meat Flavor Extract의 개발)

  • Separation-concentration of sulfur containing heterocyclic compounds(SCHC) from many reaction meat flavors manufactured with Maillard reaction was carried out. Profile of SCHC was identified and analyzed by GC and GC-MSD. The results were as follows. 1. Profile of SCHC could be identified 7 kinds thiazole and 11 kinds thiophene, the major produced compounds were thiophene, thiazolidine, 4-methyl-5-thiazole ethanol. 2. In the case of SCHC, relationship between changes of reaction conditions and the kind of produced components were as same, but produced amounts appeared the difference. Producing amount of complexed SCHC and caramellike note as well as oxygen containing heterocyclic compounds were high level more than high reaction temperature and long time reaction period. 3. Producing ratio of comparative simple structural SCHC were the highest level at reaction conditions of moisture content 50%, reaction temperature 100$^{\circ}C$ and reaction time 2 hours. Reaction conditions for the revelation of reaction meat flavor were below 110$^{\circ}C$ and less than 2 hours. 4. Relationship between moisture content and reaction temperature as well as reaction time had very relative relation. From the change of moisture content and reaction conditions could be obtained the simultaneously profile. Signal presentation for production of reaction meat flavor could be from extraction-separation-concentration of SCHC through simplification of raw-materials in the flavor and seasoning food industry.

A Research on the Production of Fusarin C in Cereals during Storage by Fusarium moniliforme (곡류저장시 Fusarium moniliforme에 의한 Fusarin C 생성에 관한 연구)

  • Fusarin C, which had been produced in cereals by Fusarium moniliforme, was known as a mutagen. In this study, natural occurrences of fusarin C in 12 kinds of cereals grown in Korea, fusarin C production by F. moniliforme in cereal cultures, and the relation between fusarin C production and water activity were investigated. The results were obtained as follows; 1. Fusarin C was detected large amounts in rice, glutinous millet, sorghum millet, and corn obtained from Seoul markets randomly. But in cereals selected from Pyungtaik market, fusarin C was detected in barley and job's tears only. The amounts were much lower than those from Seoul markets. It was thought that keeping conditions of cereals during retailing period were very important factors to natural occurrences of fusarin C. 2. The amounts of fusarin C production were determined much more in rice and barley cultures with F. moniliforme. In this study, the facts are made clear that rice and barley had been more proper than corn to produce fusarin C by F. monilifome. 3. Water activity had more effect on fusarin C production in corn cultures than rice cultures. In corn cultures, water activity was higher, and the amounts of fusarin C production was larger. In case of high activity (Aw 0.85), the amounts of fusarin C was shown the largest in 1 week after then was decreased rapidly.

Soil moisture estimation of YongdamDam watershed using vegetation index from Sentinel-1 and -2 satellite images (Sentinel-1 및 Sentinel-2 위성영상기반 식생지수를 활용한 용담댐 유역의 토양수분 산정)

  • 본 연구에서는 금강 상류의 용담댐 유역(930.0 km2)을 대상으로 Sentinel-1 SAR(Synthetic Aperture Radar) 및 Sentinel-2 MultiSpectral Instrument(MSI) 위성영상을 활용한 토양수분 산출연구를 수행하였다. 연구에 사용된 자료는 10 m 해상도의 Sentinel-1 IW(Interferometric Wide swath) mode GRD(Ground Range Detected) product의 VV(Vertical transmit-Vertical receive) 및 VH(Vertical transmit-Horizontal receive) 편파자료와 Sentinel-2 Level-2A Bottom of Atmosphere(BOA) reflectance 자료를 2019년에 대해 각 6일 및 5일 간격으로 구축하였다. 위성영상의 Image processing은 SNAP(SentiNel Application Platform)을 활용하여 Sentinel-1 영상의 편파 별(VV, VH) 후방산란계수와 Sentinel-2의 적색(Band-4) 및 근적외(Band-8) 영상을 생성하였다. 토양수분 산출 모형은 다중선형회귀모형(Multiple Linear Regression Model)을 활용하였으며, 각 지점에 해당하는 토양 속성별로 모형을 생성하였다. 모형의 입력자료는 Sentinel-1 위성의 편파별 후방산란계수, Sentinel-1 위성에서 산출된 식생지수 RVI(Radar Vegetation Index)와 Sentinel-2 위성에서 산출된 NDVI(Normalized Difference Vegetation Index)를 활용하여 식생의 영향을 반영하고자 하였다. 모의 된 토양수분을 검증하기 위해 6개 지점의 TDR(Time Domain Reflectometry) 기반 실측 토양수분 자료를 수집하고, 상관계수(Correlation Coefficient, R), 평균제곱근오차(Root Mean Square Error, RMSE) 및 IOA(Index of Agreement)를 활용하여 전체 기간 및 계절별로 나누어 검증할 예정이다.

A Study on the Fuelization of Livestock Sludge Using Thermal Hydrolysis (열가수분해 반응을 이용한 가축분뇨 슬러지의 연료화에 관한 연구)

  • Livestock sludge contains high concentration of organic matter and some heavy metals. In case of discharging into the sea, it might have negative effects in the environment. In this study thermal hydrolysis reaction was applied for livestock sludge to determine the fuelization possibility and obtain the best operation conditions. Livestock sludges were thermally hydrolyzed at temperature range $170{\sim}210^{\circ}C$ in sealed high-temperature reactors. Liquid products and dewatered cakes were analyzed. The operation at $190^{\circ}C$ was found to be best effective condition. High heating value and low heating value were 5,050 kcal/kg and 4,740 kcal/kg, respectively. Therefore, fuelization of livestock sludge using thermal hydrolysis reactor is found to be highly effective.
