설치공간이 제한된 순환펌프의 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development of a Circulating Pump with Space Constraintst)

  • A circulating pump with installation space constraints was developed satisfying performance requirements such as flowrate, head and NPSHAv. The development procedures are composed of conceptual design, configuration design, performance analysis by CFD and performance test which were established in KIMM. The developed pump is OH4 type centrifugal pump which has a mixed-flow type impeller, a double volute and a rigid coupling. As a result of tests, the pump proved to meet all the requirements including space constraints and performance.

  • 최근 개발되고 있는 원자력발전소용 OTS(Operator Training Simulator) 개발은 설계 및 해석에 사용되었던 여러 가지 코드(시뮬레이션 소프트웨어)를 수정 보완하여 이들을 상호 통합하는 방식으로 수행되는 경향을 보이고 있다. 기존에 개발되었거나 현재 운영중인 대부분의 OTS는 단일의 고성능 컴퓨터 환경에 의존하므로 발전소 설계와 해석에 사용하였던 서로 다른 코드를 상호 통합하여 사용하기에는 어려움이 많았다. 그러나, 최근에는 컴퓨터의 성능과 네트워크 기술이 비약적으로 발전하여 서로 다른 속성을 갖는 시뮬레이션 소프트웨어를 각각 서로 다른 컴퓨터에 적재 실행시키고 네트워크를 통하여 연동시키는 것이 가능해졌다. 본 연구는 원자력발전소 설계와 해석에 사용하고 있는 시뮬레이션 소프트웨어(노심 모사코드, 열 수력 모사코드, 구조물 모사코드), 인간기계연계(Man Machine Interface) 소프트웨어, 각 모사 소프트웨어간의 통신과 실행을 제어하는 강사 소프트웨어를 분산된 컴퓨터 환경에서 실행시키는 OTS를 개발하였다. 본 연구를 수행함에 있어서 서로 속성이 다른 소프트웨어 모듈을 하나로 통합하는 작업이 가장 부담스러웠다. 따라서, 서로 다른 소프트웨어 모듈을 통합하기 위한 요건을 개발초기에 설정하고, 이 요건을 모든 소프트웨어 개발조직이 준수하도록 하였다. 본 논문에서는 OTS를 구성하는 이질적인 소프트웨어 모듈의 기능과 특징, 이들을 통합하기 위한 요건을 설명한다. 또한 각 요건이 OTS 개발공정에서 어떻게 적용되고 사용되었는지를 살펴본다.

  • The Francis type hydro turbine with vertical axis has been designed and analized for hydraulic performance verification. The guide vane angle of turbine casing were designed to be varied according to the condition of head and flowrate. When the changes in flowrate and output were comparatively large, the efficiency drop were small, so the efficiency characteristics and stability of the entire operating condition were maintained in good condition. These results showed that the developed hydro turbine in this study will be suitable for small hydro power stations with medium and high head such as agricultural reservoirs and large dam.

  • The performance of the centrifugal fan in a vacuum cleaner is affected by the hydraulic loss, such as the friction loss, the recirculation loss and the impact loss etc., Those losses depend on the rotational speed of the impeller, the inlet and exit widths, the relative flow angles to the blade, the number of the blades and the geometry of the shroud and the diffuser. These parameters are complicatedly interrelated, so the experimental means in analyzing the fans are rather limited. In the present study, the flow analysis are done numerically by changing the relevant fan parameters. A commercial code, STAR-CD, is used for the calculations. It is seen from the analyses that the computational results agree well with the experimental results. The results obtained can be used for the basic design of a centrifugal fan.

  • The present study aims at establishing the design procedure of regenerative pumps. It is based on the new momentum exchange theory proposed in Yoo, Park and Chung. Salient feature of the present design procedure is that it does not require input of any kinds of empirical design data. Using the design procedure, a prototype regenerative pump has been designed and manufactured to confirm its validity. Comparison between the predicted performance and the experimental measurement reveals that the prototype pump has its maximum efficiency at the design flow rate and that the proposed performance analysis method satisfactorily predicts the machine performance.

  • Printing technology is a very useful method in the several process of industrial fabrication due to noncontact and fast pattern generation. To make micro pattern, we investigate the electrostatic induced inkjet printer head for micro droplet generation and drop-on-demand jetting. In order to achieve the drop-on-demand micro droplet ejection by the electrostatic induced inkjet printer head, the pulsed DC voltage is supplied. In order to find optimal pulse conditions, we tested jetting performance for various bias and pulse voltages for drop-on-demand ejection. In this result, we have successful drop-on-demand operation and micro patterning. Therefore, our novel electrostatic induced inkjet head printing system will be applied industrial area comparing conventional printing technology.

  • A cryogenic test facility has been developed to perform inducer and pump tests using liquid nitrogen. Performance tests of a turbopump in the maximum 50ton-thrust class can be performed with cryogenic fluid in the facility which operates at a temperature around $-196^{\circ}C$ with the rotational speed up to 30,000rpm. To verify the reliability of the cryogenic pump test facility, hydraulic performance tests of an inducer were accomplished, and their results were compared with the result from a water test The results confirm the reliability of the cryogenic test facility, and it is expected to contribute for on-going development of a turbopump for liquid rocket engines.

  • In this paper, it is intended to study about deferences of design and operation properties between large and small hydro-power house's turbine which type is reaction. In generally, turbine of large hydro-power has a more safe and effective energy output mechanisms than small hydro-power's because the turbine of small hydro-power is more sensitive to hydraulic losses. But, it is more effective for the all energy market to improve the capability and efficiency of small hydro-power in the present status of increasing construction of small hydro-power than large hydro-power. Therefore, we intend to investigate and introduce the way to enhance the efficiencies of reaction turbine adopted to small hydro-power.

  • Hydraulic performance and cavitation characteristics of fuel pump in turbopump were studied experimentally. This fuel pump has a centrifugal impeller with a separate inducer. In this paper, static pressure distribution of inducer was examined in non-cavitation and cavitation conditions. As cavitation came, the rising curve of static pressure in front of inducer was lightened because blade lodging did. In result, this offered the mechanism that recirculation zone could be small in case that recirculation was generated in low flow rate.
