Factor Estimation For Food Wastes Collection Using GIS (GIS를 활용한 단독주택지역의 음식물쓰레기 수거요소 분석연구)

  • This study is to analyze collection factor of food wastes using GIS. For calculation of collection crews and equipment, It was measured velocity(43m/min), moving coefficient(1.9), moving distance(17,200/day), collection rate(0.313kg/day) on the basis of S2Dong. Moving coefficient was able to analyze straight distance of S2Dong using GIS and other areas were also applied to analyze straight distance of each area using same method. At N autonomous district, 10 persons of collection crews were necessary, but collection of food wastes by four forces resulted to be 11 persons of crews necessary. 7 vehicles were necessary, but 8 vehicles were needed by same reason.

  • 본 논문에서는 수명이 다한 제품이나 소비자가 더 이상 사용하지 않는 폐기품을 다시 재사용하거나 폐기하는데 필요한 일련의 활동을 위한 역방향 로지스틱스에서의 수거망 설계 문제를 다루고 있다. 수거망 설계 문제는 수거지점의 위치와 수요지의 폐기품을 수거 지점에 할당하는 것을 결정하는 문제로 정의할 수 있으며 수거지점은 재활용품이나 폐기품이 위치한 지점 근처에 위치하고 주어진 잠재적인 위치를 중에서 결정하게 된다. 여기서, 각 수거지점은 용량제약이 있어 수거 지점에 할당되는 폐기품의 양에는 제한이 있다. 본 논문에서 다루는 수거망 설계문제에서는 수거지점을 설치하는데 필요한 고정비용과 수요지와 수거지점간의 수송비용의 합을 최소화하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 또한 대상문제를 보다 명확히 설명하기 위하여 징수계획법을 이용한 수리적 모형을 제안하였으며 문제의 복잡도 인하여 타부 서치와 시뮬레이티드 어닐링 두 가지 형태의 탐색기법을 제안하였다. 이들 탐색기법에 대하여 최대 500개의 잠재적 위치를 가지는 문제에 대하여 실험을 수행하였고 실험결과를 제시하였다.

  • 최근 코로나19 팬데믹의 영향으로 온라인 소비가 늘면서 종이, 플라스틱 등 재활용품의 사용량이 증가하고 있다. 또한 1인 가구의 중가에 따라 분리수거 배출이 제대로 이루어지지 않는 추세이다. 대부분의 1인 가구가 거주하고 있는 원룸 밀집 지역의 분리수거 여건이 제대로 갖춰진 곳이 많지 않으며, 분리수거 기준이 모호한 종류들이 많다. 재활용품 분리수거가 제대로 이루어지지 않는다면 에너지 및 자원낭비와 쓰레기 소각으로 인한 환경오염이 초래된다. 본 논문에서는 딥러닝 객체 인식 및 검출을 통한 재활용품 분류 결과에 따른 모터제어 및 분리수거를 진행하는 재활용품 분리수거 장치를 개발하였다. 해당 장치는 객체인식 알고리즘 YOLOV4를 이용하여 객체를 인식 및 검출한 후 모터제어, LED를 통해 분리수거 및 피드백을 제공한다. 이를 활용하여 누구나 쉽게 분리수거를 할 수 있도록 편의성을 제공하며 재활용 쓰레기 수거율을 높여 소각으로 인한 환경오염 방지를 기대할 수 있다.

  • To suggest the separate collection system of garbage in household, people's disposition was evaluated. It was indicated that garbage be collected daily to minimize the odor which was major nuisance from garbage. However, most people wanted to discharge garbage in two or three days interval, as they did not prefer frequent handling. So, proper size of garbage container was determined as two to three days capacity. In contrast with it, it was major opinion that dicharged garbage should be collected everyday by local government to eliminate the outdoor pollution. Plastic bag was the most popular container, as it could be used instantly. Price of the bag affected on the efficiency of reduction and separate collection of garbage. Low price increased the separate collection and decreased the reduction, while high price introduced the opposite result. So, the dual price system was suggested to enhance both objectives.

Estimation of Collection Variables for Food Wastes (음식폐기물 수거요소 분석 연구)

  • This study was performed to analyze collection parameters for food wastes, which were used to estimate man power and vehicles required to collect those. For this purpose, collection activities were separated into unit operations, such as a pickup, a haul and at-site, and design data that can be used generally were developed by survey and interpretation. In case of a detached dwelling area, the pickup time to collect 1ton of food wastes(Phcs) was $3.3man{\cdot}hour$ and haul time was 22.4km/hour. At-site time of a collection vehicle to load 2.5ton of food wastes was 5minutes and that time was varied according to the loading quantity of vehicles. The estimation of collection time(Thcs), required to move 2.5ton of food wastes from a pickup location to a treatment facility in the same condition for vehicles and man power, showed that Thcs for an apartment area was 3.03hours and for a detached dwelling area was three times as much as that of for the apartment area. More data should be required to evaluate both typical variables associated with collection activities and the variables related to particular district types.

  • Recently, many waste is getting into the ocean because of natural disasters and trash of illegality. These destroy the marine ecosystem and the great views around the ocean. Many methods are used for the removal of the waste in the ocean and one of the main waste forms is floating debris. In order to remove the waste, the nets are mostly used and the ships are recently used. However, many problems are occurred due to low number of people and techniques in the ship-based removal. To solve this problem, a surface robot for floating debris removal is developed. To verify the performance of the developed robot, tests of surge, yaw, and floating debris removal are executed. The test results show the possibility of real applications and the need for additional studies.

  • 가정용 생활 쓰레기 수거 작업은 야간이나 이른 새벽에 이루어지고 있어 환경미화원의 안전사고와 수거 차량으로 인한 소음 문제가 빈번하게 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 딥러닝 기반의 영상 인식을 활용하여 종량제 봉투를 인식하고 수거가 가능한 생활 쓰레기 수거 로봇의 설계를 제시한다. 제시하는 생활 쓰레기 수거 로봇은 지정 구역을 자율주행하며 로봇에 장착된 카메라를 이용해 학습된 모델을 기반으로 가정용 쓰레기 종량제 봉투를 검출한다. 이를 통해 처리 대상으로 지정된 종량제 봉투와 로봇 팔 사이의 거리를 카메라를 활용하여 얻은 깊이 정보와 2차원 좌표를 토대로 목표 위치를 예측해 로봇 팔의 관절을 제어하여 봉투를 수거한다. 해당 로봇은 생활 쓰레기 수거 작업 과정에서 환경미화원을 보조하여 미화원의 안전 확보와 소음 저감을 위한 기기로 활용될 수 있다.

Policy Options for Diaper Recycling to Foster Effective Citizens' Participation - Based on Collection Pilot Test of Soiled Diaper in Nowon-gu - (효과적인 시민참여를 위한 기저귀 재활용 정책방안 - 노원구의 사용 후 기저귀 수거 시범사업 결과를 중심으로 -)

  • This study aims to suggest possible policy options for collection of post-consumer diapers as a sustainable prerequisite to implementation of public recycling system with the desktop monitoring results and analysis of collection cost involved. By conducting a diaper collection pilot test on daycare centers and households in the Seoul Nowon-gu, this study revealed that the odor issues did not stand out as an important hindering factor and that the collection rate was the largest contributing factor regarding collection costs. The exploratory cost analysis result shows that the implemented recycling system must guarantee collection rate over 50% via twice-a-week collection frequency, to be comparable or even superior to the current food waste collection cost. Also the pilot demonstration test showed that the final collection rate can be achieved as much as over 50%. The promising data thus obtained cost economically viable future diaper recycling system implementation in the entire Seoul metropolis and adjacent areas of dense population. With the concomitant development of recycling technology and related infrastructure for systematic collection of diaper waste, it makes our society much more sustainable.

A Study on the Solid Waste Collection Districting and Vehicle Routing-Scheduling for Waste Collection Using GIS (GIS를 이용한 생활폐기물의 수거권역설정과 수거차량의 순회경로계획에 관한 연구)

  • Solid waste collection service is viewed as one of the most important public services in urban area. The purpose of this study is to apply the GIS based regional partitioning and arc routing methods for solid waste collection districting and vehicle routing-scheduling in order to provide waste collection service more efficiently. In this study, solid waste deposit sites are derived from the centroid of each building and the amount of solid waste is deduced based on the number of households and establishments. The regional partitioning procedure is performed based on waste collection zones which are constructed from waste deposit sites. The result of this study shows that solid waste collection districts which are delineated by regional partitioning method are able to increase efficiencies and cut costs in performing solid waste collection services. Also the output of vehicle-scheduling from the analysis of arc routing may provide more efficiently and quickly manage the scheduling of the residential solid waste collection routes, reducing costs with minimal deadheading costs. Therefore, the application of GIS based on regional partitioning and arc routing methods would be very useful to construct a solid waste management system by supplying the important and flexible informations for solid waste collection districts and vehicle routing-scheduling for waste collection.

  • Product design should reflect environment and experience of use in consideration of product's role as well as roles in life. In doing so, it is expected to realize interaction between product's role and users. Therefore, design of a recycling bin should also consider not only colors, shape, or materials but also process and experience of use. This study was conducted targeting public recycling bins in Beijing. As for the study method, first concept of a recycling bin was defined while specifying significance of recycling in Beijing City. Also, advanced research on recycling related policies that are currently being promoted was carried out. Second, current status of recycling in Beijing and problems of recycling bins were analyzed through on-campus survey. Lastly, users' psychological demand on a recycling bin was assessed and analyzed to suggest developmental direction of recycling bin design in the future.
