A Study of the Application of Earthquake Early Warning System for the Enhancements in Protective Action by Korea National Park (국립공원의 지진 대응 체계 개선을 위한 지진 조기경보 시스템의 적용에 관한 연구)

  • Conventional Earthquake Early Warning System (EEWS) detects the propagated P-wave from epicenter which should be achieved within 5 seconds to provide seconds to minutes of warning, allowing people to prepare for protective actions. EEWS in Korea is currently capable of providing a warning within 50 seconds after the primary P-wave detection, however, it is well-known that earthquake warning systems operating around Korean National Parks (KNP) have limited capability to fully monitor earthquake events. This study, therefore, presents a strategy to quantify the potential vulnerability to earthquake hazards by superimposing the distribution of Korea Integrated Seismic System (KISS) and the discretized map of KNP. Total 22 national parks are evaluated, and the results suggest that the improvement of the on-site systems should be necessitated for Gyoengju, Gyeryongsan, Songnisan, Gayasan, and Deogyusan national parks, whereas enhancement of regional systems is required for Bukhansan national park.

  • 이미지 해석에 의한 유속장 측정방법은 유체역학분야에서 지난 30 여년 동안 많이 활용되어온 속도측정 기법으로 오늘날에는 이를 수공학 분야에서 이를 유량측정 등 수리현상 해석에 활용하려는 시도가 다각적으로 이루어지고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 이미지 해석에 의한 유속장 측정방법을 용담댐 시험유역에 적용하여 그의 자연하천에서의 적용성을 검토하고자 한다. 이미지 해석에 의한 유속장 측정방법은 PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry)로 통칭되고 있으며, PIV는 seeding, illumination, recording, 및 image processing의 네 가지 요소로 구성된다. seeding을 위해서 유체를 따라 흐를수 있는 작은 입자를 유체에 첨가한다. 유체를 따라 흐르는 입자들의 선명한 이미지를 얻기 위해서illumination이 필요하다. PIV를 이용하여 흐름을 해석하기 위한 illumination은 일반적으로 이중펄스 레이저가 이용된다. 이렇게 유속장 해석을 하려는 유체에 대하여 seeding 및 illumination이 준비되면 단일노출- 다중 프레임법, 혹은 다중노출-단일 프레임법으로 흐름을 recording을 한다. image processing은 이미지를 다운로드하고, 디지타이징 및 화질향상을 하는 전처리(pre-processing), 상관계수의 산정에 의한 유속 벡터의 결정 및 에러 벡터를 제거하고 유속장을 그래프화하는 후처리(post-processing) 과정으로 구성된다. LSPIV(Large Scale PIV)는 PIV의 기본원리를 근거로 하여 기존의 PIV에 비하여 실험실 내에서의 수리모형실험이나 일반 하천에서의 유속측정과 같은 큰 규모$(4m^2\sim45,000m^2$)의 흐름해석을 할 수 있도록 Fujita et al.(1994)와 Aya et al.(1995)이 확장시킨 것이다. PIV와 비교시 LSPIV의 다른 점은 넓은 흐름 표면적을 포함하기 위하여 촬영시에 카메라의 광축과 흐름 사이의 각도가 PIV에서 이용하는 수직이 아닌 경사각을 이용하였고 이에 따라 발생하는 이미지의 왜곡을 제거하기 위하여 이미지 변환기법을 적용하여 왜곡이 없는 정사촬영 이미지로 변환시킨다. 이후부터는 PIV의 이미지 처리 방법이 적용되어 표면유속을 산정한다. 다만 이미지 변환을 PIV 이미지 처리 전에 하느냐 후에 하느냐에 따라 유속장 해석결과에 차이가 있다. PIV의 네가지 단계를 포함하여 LSPIV의 각 단계를 구분하면, seeding, illumination, recording, image transformation,image processing 및 post-processing의 여섯 단계로 나뉘어진다 (Li, 2002). LSPIV를 적용시 물표면 입자의 Tracing을 위하여 자연하천에서 사용하기에 적합한 환경친화적인 seeding 재료인 Wood Mulch를 사용하여 유속을 측정하였다. 적용지점은 용담댐 상류의 동향수위관측소 지점으로 이 지점은 한국수자원공사의 수자원시험유역이 위치하고 있다. 이미지의 촬영은 가정용 비디오 캠코더 (Sony DCR-PC 350)을 이용하여 두 줄기의 흐름에 대하여 각각 약 5분 동안의 영상을 촬영한후 이중에서 seeding의 분포가 잘 이루어진 약 1분간을 추출한후 이를 이용하여 PIV 분석에 이용하였다. 대체적으로 유속장의 계산이 무난하게 이루어지었으나 비교적 수질 상태가 양호하고, 수심이 낮고, 하상재료가 자갈로 이루어져 있어 비슷한 색상의 seeding 재료를 추적하기 어려운 구간이 발생한 부분에서는 유속의 계산이 정확히 이루어지지 않았다.

Analysis of Emotional Colors in The Mise-en-scene of The Film (영화 <로얄 테넌바움> 미장센에 나타난 감성색채 이미지 분석)

  • In film, color is a tool for storytelling and a metaphor for a story's theme. This study constructs efficient and objective data by analyzing color images of movies delivered to the audience. This Research the visual perception process of color in films and studies the processes accepted by the audience. Through this research process, we examine the emotional response caused by the visual stimulus of film color and quantify the visual factor through color in the film as a factor that effectively induces the emotional response of viewers who watch the movie. This study analyzes the mise-en-scene of Wes Anderson's film, Royal Tenenbaum, and studies the role of communication in cinematic colors. Quantitative analysis of color distribution data is performed using computer color analysis program on the colors displayed through 10 chapters of mise en scene. Through color analysis, it was analyzed that Anderson composed the movie scenes in red and yellow red (YR) with low saturation and medium brightness. Through this analysis, we study how color is used throughout the film and how the quantitative form of its use is to be used as the psychological factor controlling audience's emotion.

A Study on the Change of Urban Land Use According to the Change of Transportation Accessibility (교통 접근성 변동에 따른 도시 토지이용 변화에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the status of urbanization of Namyangju-Si from 2001 till 2008, analyze the correlation of the change of surrounding land use according to the change of accessibility and analyze the correlation of the change of land use. Based on the result from correlation analysis, I simulated from the view point of interactions between agents of land use and transportation accessibility by using MAS. I tried to forecast, based on space, the change of surrounding land use caused by the change of accessibility. I conducted landscape analysis by using a land registration map. Also, I conducted GIS analysis statistical analysis simulation analysis of traffic data, land use data in order to analyze the correlation of the change of surrounding land use according to the change of accessibility. I could find out a certain pattern that new roads and railroads causes the within 500m adjacent land to change into urban land use, which led me to construct a system through which land use changing phenomenon can be expected according to the change of accessibility. It is expected that it can make the best use of selecting the location where new transportation facilities are constructed.

  • A large number of works have been Performed to understand the electrochemical growth of Polypynole on conducting substrates in aqueous as well as in nonaqueous solutions. Recently most researches with Polypyrrole have tended to be directed toward technological applications, but many fundamental physical and chemical properties of Polypyrrole remain unknown. In Particular, microrheological Property of polypyrrole has been largely neglected until the advanced electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance technique was introduced recently. To study anion effects on microrheolosical Property of Polypyrrole, we investigated changes in viscoelasticity of Polypyrrole during electrochemical growth in neutral aqueous solutions by means of in siか electrochemical quartz crystal oscillator method. The results showed that the films of Polypyrrole synthesized in $KPF_6\;and\;KCIO_4$ were more viscoelastic than the ones in $KCI,\;KNO_3,\;KBr,\;KBF_4,\;K_2SO_4$, sodium tosylate (NaOTs), and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS). The growth rate of Polypyrrole in SDS was faster than that in the others utilized. Polypyrroles synthesized in buffered neutral solutions were more elastic than those in unbuffered neutral solutions.

  • This dissertation is considered a historic generation that Chinese film $6^{th}$ director remembers through their life. Also it is figured out historic anguish and hurt how it was remembered and appeared in film. They have made actual films through their efforts which are different from the conventional generation. In addition, between memory and oblivion the time's signification in the history is showed how what way can be represented. It was presented the time's anguish through memory's metaphor in Chinese film $6^{th}$ works. Also, it was shown the existence's reality from dream was losing as memory was hiding between desire and despair. Additionally, the self of daily was expressed to unconcernedly accept reality, and its against the unchangeable world's eye and memory. The $6^{th}'s$ films' desire was expressed passive appearance to accept reality with losing dream in these three things; cannot be reality in the process to figure out own natural character, and appearance to keep traditional character, finally gradually changing reality. When $6^{th}$ directors analysis the history as memory, social repression follows family's repression, family's repression brings personal repression, and then repression changes to desire, finally the life as a reaction could be maintained. In conclusion, personal desire was covered for fantasy, and the overcoming figure was represented. Moreover, Chinese face that $6^{th}$ directors have memorized was presented through these sentiments.

Efficient Structure-Oriented Filter-Edge Preserving (SOF-EP) Method using the Corner Response (모서리 반응을 이용한 효과적인 Structure-Oriented Filter-Edge Preserving (SOF-EP) 기법)

  • To interpret the seismic image precisely, random noises should be suppressed and the continuity of the image should be enhanced by using the appropriate smoothing techniques. Structure-Oriented Filter-Edge Preserving (SOF-EP) technique is one of the methods, that have been actively researched and used until now, to efficiently smooth seismic data while preserving the continuity of signal. This technique is based on the principle that diffusion occurs from large amplitude to small one. In a continuous structure such as a horizontal layer, diffusion or smoothing is operated along the layer, thereby increasing the continuity of layers and eliminating random noise. In addition, diffusion or smoothing across boundaries at discontinuous structures such as faults can be avoided by employing the continuity decision factor. Accordingly, the precision of the smoothing technique can be improved. However, in the case of the structure-oriented semblance technique, which has been used to calculate the continuity factor, it takes lots of time depending on the size of the filter and data. In this study, we first implemented the SOF-EP method and confirmed its effectiveness by applying it step by step to the field data. Next, we proposed and applied the corner response method which can efficiently calculate the continuity decision factor instead of structure-oriented semblance. As a result, we could confirm that the computation time can be reduced by about 6,000 times or more by applying the corner response method.

Toward Successful Adaptation from Games to Films (게임 원작의 성공적인 각색)

  • Nowadays, it becomes a widespread and frequent practice that one content as a source is converted into diverse media formats. However, it is hard to answer the question whether the converted content might become successful again. That is mainly because one needs to have clear understanding about the characteristics of the target media format. This explains the phenomenon that there are very few successful movies which have been adapted from successful digital games. Thus, it is essential to conduct thorough and sufficient researches on the success factors of the adapted movies. The objective of this research is to investigate and analyze common factors of successful movies from digital games in terms of their visuals and narratives. We have found that successfully adapted movies from digital games shares three commonalities in the work of adaptation for effective cinematic impacts. Firstly, the adaptors of the successful movies have composed scripts with riveting storytelling through simplification, compression and removal of the original story. Secondly, they have satisfactorily re-implemented the original game avatars in the process of adaptation. Finally, they have effectively discovered inherent attractiveness of the original games and incorporated into the target movies with faithful following of cinematic grammar. We expect that our work contribute to reduce failure rate of the prospective movies converted from games by the proposed analysis of success factors shared among successfully adapted movies through the proposed case studies.

The Current Status and Development Direction of Mixed Reality Content (혼합현실 콘텐츠의 현황과 발전방향)

  • In the near future, we are expected to live in a Mixed Reality environment where reality and virtuality coexist as today we live using the Internet and smartphones in our daily lives. The relevant content based on the idea of Mixed Reality crystallizing is currently expanding, and it is time for research on it. This study examines the current situation and the development direction of mixed reality contents. Typical mixed reality contents can be classify by wearability. We analyzed HoloLens, a mixed reality wearable device that is worn on a head, which is a example of wearable device. As an example of unwearable device, we also analyzed the Room2Room which is a communication system that combines video with augmented reality-based telepresence avatar. Mixed Reality content will develop in the direction of implementing expanded use of information and more natural realism through the interactive combination of Reality, Virtual Reality, and Augmented Reality. As head-mounted wearable technology develops, Mixed Reality content is expected to become popular by increasing the number of Mixed Reality device users if convenience and price competitiveness are secured. The way of unifying Mixed Reality wearable devices must be established in order to increase convenience, and the environment based on Mixed Reality will be created through diversifying leisure activity content. Telepresence Avatar is expected to develop into Mobile Hologram Avar as Mixed Reality content accessible anywhere and at anytime beyond space limits. Another potential for development of Telepresence Avatar is the combination of Avatar moving on user's thought, Augmented Human technology and Mixed Reality.

Development of the Hippocampal Learning Algorithm Using Associate Memory and Modulator of Neural Weight (연상기억과 뉴런 연결강도 모듈레이터를 이용한 해마 학습 알고리즘 개발)

  • In this paper, we propose the development of MHLA(Modulatory Hippocampus Learning Algorithm) which remodel a principle of brain of hippocampus. Hippocampus takes charge auto-associative memory and controlling functions of long-term or short-term memory strengthening. We organize auto-associative memory based 3 steps system(DG, CA3, CAl) and improve speed of learning by addition of modulator to long-term memory learning. In hippocampal system, according to the 3 steps order, information applies statistical deviation on Dentate Gyrus region and is labelled to responsive pattern by adjustment of a good impression. In CA3 region, pattern is reorganized by auto-associative memory. In CAI region, convergence of connection weight which is used long-term memory is learned fast by neural networks which is applied modulator. To measure performance of MHLA, PCA(Principal Component Analysis) is applied to face images which are classified by pose, expression and picture quality. Next, we calculate feature vectors and learn by MHLA. Finally, we confirm cognitive rate. The results of experiments, we can compare a proposed method of other methods, and we can confirm that the proposed method is superior to the existing method.
