  • 최근 급격히 늘어나는 사용자 트래픽을 효율적으로 관리하고, 다양한 사용자 SLA를 만족 시키기 위해서는 송.수신측의 필요한 만큼의 트래픽의 통과만을 허용할 수 있는 대역폭 제한이 필요하다. 그러나, 기존에 제시된 대역폭 조절 방식은 이더넷에 적합하지 않거나 또는 너무 복잡하여 EFM(Ethernet for First Mile)에 적용하기 어려움이 있었다. 본 논문에서는 효과적이고, 이더넷에 적용하기 적합한 대역폭 조절 방법인 속도 계산(Rate Calculation)메커니즘을 제안하며, 제안한 메커니즘에 대한 시뮬레이션을 통한 성능분석을 수행한다.

  • 단순한 데이터통신을 위한 넷(Net)이 정보 교환의 혁명을 일으켰던 웹(Web)으로 발전하였고, 현재 웹은 신경망 형태의 인터넷 구조를 갖는 그리드(grid)를 향해 발전하고 있다. 정보의 교환 및 분산된 자원을 공유하기 위한 그리드 컴퓨팅은 자원의 발견 뿐 만 아니라, 접근 속도와 제한된 자원의 공유를 비롯한 여러 문제점을 가지고 있다. 특히, 데이터에 대한 접근 속도와 제한적인 데이터 공유 문제를 해결하기 위해 Replica 서비스가 제안되었으나, 이러한 Replica 서비스를 원활하게 지원하기 위해서는 Replica 경로 및 정보들을 목록으로 구성해야만 한다. 현재 그리드 컴퓨팅 분야에서 이러한 목록을 구현하는 것과 동시에 최적의 조건을 찾아가는 기법에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행 중이다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 Replica 서비스를 최적화하기 위한 기존의 연구들을 분석하고 Data Location Service를 이용하여 Replica 서비스를 최적화하는 방법을 제안하였다.

  • This paper presents a new motion control for singularity avoidance in 6 DOF articulated robot manipulators, based on a speed limiting algorithm for joint positions and velocities. For a given task, the robot is controlled so that the joints move with acceptable velocities and positions within the reachable range of each joint by considering the velocity limit. The proposed method was verified using MATLAB-based simulations.

  • Numerous applications of position controlling devices using servoing technique and transmission of energy through belt drives are practiced in the industry. Belt drive is a simple, lightweight, low cost power transmission system. Belt drives provide freedom to position the motor relative to the load and this phenomenon enables reduction of the robot arm inertia. It also facilitates quick response when employed in robotics. In this paper, precision positioning of a belt driven mechanism using a feed-forward compensator under maximum acceleration and velocity constraints is proposed. The proposed method plans the desired trajectory and modifies it to compensate delay dynamics and vibration. Being an offline method, the proposed method could be easily and effectively adopted to the existing systems without any modification of the hardware setup. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through computer simulation and experimental results.

  • 태양광 시스템은 낮 시간 동안에만 사용할 수 있기 때문에 사용시간이 제한적이다. 이 제한적인 시간 내에 최대의 효율을 발휘하기 위해서 태양광 시스템은 주로 최대전력지점 추종(MPPT) 방법을 사용한다. 결국 MPPT 방법에 따라서 전체 시스템의 효율이 영향을 받을 수 있다. 본 논문은 황금분할법으로 최대전력지점(MPP)을 추종하는 새로운 MPPT 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안방법의 성능은 결정형 PV 패널 MSX120을 이용하여 기존의 MPPT방법인 P&O 방법을 제안방법과 비교하며, 제안방법의 성능의 검증은 기존방법과 시스템의 효율 및 MPP를 추종하는 속도를 비교하여 평가하였다. 그 결과 제안방법의 효율 및 MPP추종속도가 개선됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

Current Status of Ship Emissions and Reduction of Emissions According to RSZ in the Busan North Port (부산 북항에서의 선박 배출물질 현황과 선속제한에 의한 배출량 감소 연구)

  • In view of the numerous discussions on global environmental issues, policies have been implemented to limit emissions in the field of marine transport, which accounts for a major part of international trade. In this study, a ship's emissions were calculated by applying the engine load factor to determine the total quantity of emissions based on the ship's speed reduction. For ships entering and leaving the Busan North Port from 1 January to 31 December 2017, emissions were calculated and analyzed based on the ship's type and its speed in the reduced speed zone (RSZ), which was set to 20 nautical miles. The comparison of the total amount of emissions under all situations, such as cruising, maneuvering, and hotelling modes revealed that the vessels that generated the most emissions were container ships at 76.1 %, general cargo ships at 7.2 %, and passenger ships at 6.8 %. In the cruising and maneuvering modes, general cargo ships discharged a lesser amount of emission in comparison with passenger ships; however, in the hotelling mode, the general cargo ships discharged a larger amount of emission than passenger ships. The total emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulphur oxides (SOx), particulate matter (PM), and volatile organic compounds (VOC), were 49.4 %, 45 %, 4 %, and 1.6 %, respectively. Furthermore, the amounts of emission were compared when ships navigated at their average service speed, 12, 10, and 8 knots in the RSZ, respectively. At 12 knots, the reduction in emissions was more than that of the ships navigating at their average service speed by 39 % in NOx, 40 % in VOC, 42 % in PM, and 38 % in Sox. At 10 knots, the emission reductions were 52 %, 54 %, 56 %, and 50 % in NOx, VOC, PM, and Sox, respectively. At 8 knots, the emission reductions were 62 %, 64 %, 67 %, and 59 % in NOx, VOC, PM, and Sox, respectively. As a result, the emissions were ef ectively reduced when there was a reduction in the ship's speed. Therefore, it is necessary to consider limiting the speed of ships entering and leaving the port to decrease the total quantity of emissions.

A Study on Driving Characteristics of Drivers at the Enforcement System Based on Speed Data (무인속도위반단속시스템 설치구간에서의 운전자 운행특성 분석)

  • The increasing interest in the use of automated photographic equipment in Korea enables to detect speed violation and enforce traffic laws. Since 1996, Korean National Police Agency has been promoting a project for installation of Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) system aiming at reduction of accidents. Recently, point to point speed cameras operate to measure a driver's average speed across length of road and/or the spot speed at individual camera sites along the road length. In this study, we were analyzed to driver's operating characteristics in point to point speed cameras. The point to point speed camera system has link-long influence on drivers and their speeds despite enforcement being visible only at the start and end of enforced road length. Then, mean and 85th percentile speeds were below speed limit along enforced road length by the two camers. Also, Female drivers were driving at low speed than male drivers along the road length.

Characteristics and Modeling of Operating Speed at Horizontal Curves on Rural Four-Lane Highways (국도 4차로 곡선부에서 주행속도의 특성 및 모형)

  • Under a specific roadway alignment condition by design-speed standards, safety of the roadway is determined by an actual operating speed of a driver. This research takes first lanes of four-lane(hi-direction) rural highways as target facility. It also takes the straight and curved lanes of the selected highways for in-depth study. This study used NC-97 to detect speeds of passenger cars whose speeds are not affected by front vehicles. This research analyzed properties of 85th percentile operating speed at upstream of horizontal and through curves under various alignment conditions. The results show that 53∼65 Percent of drivers drive faster than the posted speed-limit (80KPH) by 14∼20 KPH on average. It also shows that the 85th-percentile operating speeds are the lowest at the middle point of curve length when curve radius is smaller. However, they are lowest at 1/4 point of curve length when curve radius is greater. Along roadways where curve radius is small, difference between upstream speed and the speed along the curve is considerably large. On the other hand. the speed difference is setting smaller as the curve radius is increasing. According to the results, significant variables affecting the 85th percentile operating speeds are curve radius and the 85th-Percentile operating speeds of upstream curves.

Current Limit Control for a Four-quadrant Operation of SRM Drive (SRM의 4상한 구동을 위한 전류제한 방식)

  • Switched reluctance machine has much attention as a traction drive because of high efficiency, high power and DC series torque characteristics. But the motor has to have a regenerative mode when it is adopted in electric vehicle and current divergence during the regeneration makes difficulties in the control. This paper proposes a reference current limitation strategy for a stable regeneration based on simulations and experimented tests. The motor is operated with conventional current limit and switching angle control method in motoring mode. Simulations and experiments are excuted to verify the feasibility of the proposed method.

  • The kinetics of photopolymerization of urethane-acrylate oligomer which has many applications in photopolymerizable adhesives was analysed to investigate the influence of polymerization temperature and functionality of oligomer using the autocatalytic model. It was revealed that the maximum polymerization rate decreased as the polymerization temperature increased. The reaction rate constant, k, showed little change with the increase in polymerization temperature, while exponents m and n exhibited an increase. These results could be related to the diffusion and mobility restriction of reactive species during the cross-linking reaction. The decrease in photopolymerization rate with increase of temperature was mainly controlled by the reaction order n.
