Communication is an important factor for nurses to lead successful nursing interventions by establishing therapeutic relationships with the subjects and cooperative relationships between the various occupations. The purpose of this study was to develop a communication education program to nurse college students to improve communication skills among medical professionals and to analyze the effects of the program. The subjects of this study were 54 students in the 4th grade of P nursing. The results of this study showed that there was a significant difference between the subjects' communication clarity(t=-7.75, p<.001) and self-leadership (t=-4.43, p<.001). Satisfaction with communication increased after the training but there was no significant difference (t=-1.22, p=.226). In conclusion, communication program using SBAR has a positive effect on clarity of communication and self-leadership of nursing students, and it is necessary to develop continuous education that can develop various scenarios and repeat training.

The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of high fidelity simulation-based education for cardiac arrest emergency nursing applied to nursing students on communication self-efficacy, communication competence, and educational satisfaction. For this study a nonequivalent control group non-synchronized post-test design was used. Participants were 42 nursing students who attended in one university and completed the self-report questionnaire. Data were analyzed through frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, x² test, and independent t-test using the SPSS 22.0 program. As a result, communication self-efficacy (t=2.87, p=.007), communication competence (t=2.96, p=.005) and educational satisfaction (t=4.75, p=<.001) were significantly higher than in the control group after high fidelity simulation-based education. High fidelity simulation-based education for cardiac arrest emergency nursing was able to improve communication self-efficacy, communication competence, and educational satisfaction for nursing students.

The purpose of this study was to examine the moderating effect of couple communication(speaking and listening) in relationships between sexual intimacy and marital satisfaction of married middle-aged men and women. The results of this study are as follows. First, marital satisfaction, sexual intimacy, and speaking of couple communication were found to have significant positive correlation. Speaking and listening of couple communication appeared to have significant positive correlation with marital satisfaction. Secondly, sexual intimacy significantly predicted the marital satisfaction. Third, speaking and listening of couple communication significantly predicted the marital satisfaction. Fourth, speaking of couple communication in relationships between sexual intimacy and marital satisfaction did not show a moderating effect. Listening of couple communication in relationships between sexual intimacy and marital satisfaction showed a moderating effect. Through this results, we discussed the need for intervention on the potential use of sexual intimacy and listening of couple communication proved as a moderating variable in counseling and couple counseling program for married middle-aged men and women

Businesses recognize the importance of empathy among members for achieving organizational goals. Accordingly, they have developed and implemented communication programs aimed at enhancing mutual understanding between the MZ generation and the older generation. However, recent communication programs conducted by businesses differ in that they involve compulsory participation driven by the organization. This study sought to empirically examine their effectiveness. Data was collected from 697 participants in communication programs to validate the proposed research model, which was empirically tested through regression analysis. The results of the analysis confirmed the effectiveness of communication programs even in non-voluntary situations and highlighted intergenerational perception differences. The findings of this study emphasize the significant role of communication and empathy within organizations. Consequently, they have impacted the development of communication strategies and culture within organizations, and are expected to provide theoretical and practical insights valuable to researchers and practitioners interested in intergenerational perception differences from a knowledge management perspective.

The purpose of this study was to investigate major satisfaction, communication skills, image of nurses and nursing professionalism, and to identify the influencing factors on nursing professionalism of nursing students. Data were collected using questionnaires from 214 students who were 3rd years in the nursing university in Gwangju, June 2019. The collected data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, pearson's correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression using IBM SPSS 21.0 program. The mean scores for the major satisfaction(3.71±0.53), communication skills(3.50±0.38), image of nurses(3.80±0.52), nursing professionalism(3.70±0.56) were above average. It was found that there were significant differences in the nursing professionalism depending on age, motivation for nursing clinical practice. Significant relationships were found among major satisfaction(r=.531, p=.000), communication skills(r=.531, p=.000), image of nurses(r=.836, p=.000) and nursing professionalism in nursing students. The results of stepwise multiple regression indicates that image of nurses(β=.705, p=.000) and communication skill(β=.136, p=.001) and major satisfaction(β=.133, p=.002) and predicts 72.8% in clinical practice competency(F=191.248, p<.001). In conclusion, to enhance nursing professionalism for nursing students, it is necessary to develop and utilize a program that enhances image of nurses, communication skills and major satisfaction.

Purpose The aim of this study was to identify the differences and relations among the communication competence, job stress and job satisfaction of clinical nurses. Method The participants included 209 nurses who worked at general hospitals in metropolitan Seoul and Gyenggi province. The instruments used for this study were the revised version of the Global Interpersonal Communication Competence Scale(GICC), the Job Stress Scale, and the Job Satisfaction Scale. Data were analyzed using frequencies, t-test, ANOVA, Spearman rank-order correlation coefficient with the SPSS 16.0 program. Result The results of this study were as follows: The mean score for communication competence was 3.30(${\pm}0.43$). For job stress and job satisfaction's mean score were 2.90(${\pm}0.33$) and 3.01(${\pm}0.30$). Significant negative correlation were found between the communication competence and job stress of clinical nurse(r=-.247, p<.001). Significant positive correlation between the communication competence and Job Satisfaction of clinical nurse(r=.248, p<.001) was also found. Conclusion The findings of this study support the importance of the communication competence of clinical nurses for efficient human resource management. Studies for developing programs to facilitate communication competence of clinical nurses are highly recommended.

The purpose of this study was to develop and apply a to identify the effects of problem solving process and communication for nursing students. The subjects consisted of one group of 71 fourth year nursing students of D Colleage To test the application effect, a one group pre-post test design was applied. This study showed significantly higher problem solving process(t=-12.6, p<.001), and communication(t=-9.91, p<.001). Learning satisfaction was positively affected. Simulation program is one of the effective teaching and learning methods. It is recommended to develpo a scenario for simulation education applied various cases which are undergoing clinical testing, so as to apply it to the nursing training education.

This study aimed to identify the mediating effect of nurse's communication on the relationship between nursing needs and nursing satisfaction in hospital patients. After IRB approval, this study was performed by administering questionnaires to 180 university hospital patients between April and June, 2017. Collected data were analyzed with SPSS 22.0. The average score of nurse's communication, nursing needs, and nursing satisfaction were $3.88{\pm}0.52$, $3.96{\pm}0.55$, and $3.74{\pm}0.59$ out of 5, respectively. There were significant differences in educational and therapeutic needs versus satisfaction. As for nurse's communication and nursing satisfaction, there were significant differences by patient's room. There were positive correlations among nurse's communication and nursing needs (r=.286, p<.001) as well as nurse's communication and nursing satisfaction (r=.524, p<.001), In addition, there were positive correlations between nursing needs and satisfaction (r=.488, p<.001). Nursing communication had a partial mediating effect between nursing needs and satisfaction, which showed significance in Sobel's test (Z=2.450, p=.014). Therefore, it is suggested that a continuous program for strengthening communication of hospital nurses is needed.

The purpose of this study is to investigate between communication competence, academic self-efficacy, satisfaction of clinical practice and self-leadership of nursing students and to identify the factors affecting self-leadership. The subjects of the study were 156 third graders who are attending nursing university in G city. Self-leadership has a significant positive correlation with communication competence, academic self-sufficiency, satisfaction of clinical practice. Communication competence, academic self-efficacy, and satisfaction of clinical practice were identified as variables influencing the self-leadership of nursing students. This study show that the factors affecting the self-leadership of nursing students can be helpful in the application of nursing education and programs.

The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of empathy and communication skill on clinical stress of college students in the convergence society. The participants were 211 college students, data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation, Multiple regression. It was found that: nursing students showed higher clinical stress in case of lower level of school satisfaction, major satisfaction, clinical satisfaction, the difficult of relationship with head nurse, and female student. Significant negative correlation were found between communication skill and clinical stress. The factors influencing clinical stress were clinical satisfaction, communication skill and gender. In order to reduce clinical stress among nursing students, it is needed to find various ways improving communication skills, such as educational courses and intervention, and to figure out associate variables and multilateral research to enhance clinical satisfaction.
