A study on design for animal X-ray detector using CFRP CNT panel (CFRP CNT 패널을 적용한 동물용 X-ray 디텍터 디자인에 관한 연구)

  • Design was developed through user-oriented service design methodology and survey was conducted on material selection criteria for prototype production to select CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics) CNT (Carbon Nano Tube), which was applied to animal X-ray detector panel to design product and develop prototype. Completed prototype with the application of CFRP CNT panel was tested in drop test, frontal external pressure test, and dustproof/waterproof performance to confirm that it can be utilized as a portable animal X-ray detector used in outdoor environment.

  • 염증 (Inflammation)은 병원체, 손상된 세포, 자극물질 등으로 인한 손상에 대해 작용하여 조직이나 장기의 손상을 재생하는 작용으로써 신체 방어 기전들 가운데 매우 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이러한 염증반응이 과다할 경우 각종 염증성 질환 혹은 암 등을 유발하는 원인으로 발전할 수 있어 항염증제의 개발은 전 세계적으로 중요시되고 있다. 선천적 면역을 담당하는 대식세포는 lipopolysaccharide(LPS), 활성산소 (ROS) 등에 의해 자극되어 염증인자 생성에 관여한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 항염증 소재 개발을 목표로 하며, 국내 천연소재를 활용한 기능성 항염증 소재로 전북 순창군에서 재배된 초석잠(Stachys Sieboldii MIQ.)과 돼지감자 (Helianthus tuberosus L.)를 이용하여 항산화 활성을 평가하고자 하였으며, 대식세포주를 활용한 세포독성 및 항염증 활성에 대한 효능을 확인하고자 하였다. 본 연구는, 전북 순창 지역에서 재배 된 초석잠과 돼지감자를 사용하여 각 조건의 추출 용매, 온도, 시간별 추출물의 Total polyphenol 함량 평가를 통한 최적 추출조건 선정을 진행하고, 선정된 추출조건의 추출물의 항산화 활성을 측정하기 위해 DPPH & ABTS radical scavenging activity 분석 및 Total flavonoids 함량 분석을 통해 항산화 효능 평가를 진행하였다. 또한 항염증 소재로의 활용을 위해 대식세포인 Raw 264.7을 사용하여 농도별 MTT assay를 진행하여 세포독성 평가를 진행하였고, Nitric oxide (NO) 생성억제 효능을 확인하여 항염증 활성을 평가하였다. 실험 결과, Total polyphenol 함량 분석을 통해 최적 추출조건이 선정된 초석잠 (25℃, 주정 60%, 3 h), 돼지감자 (25℃, 주정 40%, 1 h)은 최적 조건에서 약 58 mg GAE/g 및 158 mg GAE/g의 총 폴리페놀 함량을 보였으며, DPPH & ABTS radical scavenging activity 및 Total flavonoids 함량 분석한 결과, 초석잠이 돼지감자보다 더 높은 항산화 활성을 나타내었다. 대식세포 실험에서의 추출물 처리군의 세포독성 측정 결과, 100 ug/mL 이내의 농도에서 독성활성이 나타나지 않음을 확인하였고, Nitric oxide (NO) 생성 억제활성 측정을 통해 LPS 처리군 대비 접종량 100 ug/mL 기준 각각 초석잠 약 47%, 돼지감자 약 49% 수준의 항염증 활성을 확인하였다.

Color Sensibility and Preference of the Black Color Fabrics (블랙컬러 패션소재의 색채감성과 선호도)

  • The purposes of this research were to evaluate the color sensibility and preferences, and to analyze the effect of the tactile preferences and purchasing preference on structural properties, color characteristics and color sensibility for the black color fabrics. Male and female university students were asked to evaluate the color sensibility, tactile preference and purchasing preference to the nine different black fabrics which were selected on the basis of the previous research results. Data were analyzed by using frequency analysis, mean, factor analysis, t-test, Kruskal-Wallis test, correlation and regression analysis. The color sensibility for black color fabrics was classified into four factors: simplicity/classic, elegance, modernity and dignity. This color sensibility factors showed a significant correlative relationship to the structural properties and color characteristics of black color fabrics. On the other hand, fabrics which were evaluated with good tactile preference among the black color fabrics tended to show higher purchasing preference. Also, among the color sensibility, the structural properties and color characteristics of black color fabrics, major variable factor of influencing on the tactile preference and the purchasing preference was turned out to be the color sensibility.

  • 점진성형(Incremental Forming)기술은 고대 대장간에서 대장장이들이 소재를 두드려 조금씩 변형시켜 원하는 농기구나 검을 만드는 것부터 라고 할 수 있으며, 판재를 원하는 형상으로 조금씩 두드려 환기통 등을 제조하는 것들로부터 쉽게 찾아볼 수 있는 일반적인 성형기술이다. 다른 성형기술과 마찬가지로 점진성형 기술 또한 균일한 품질의 제품을 대량으로 생산하기 위해 고속생산이 필요하게 되면서부터 고효율 성형기술이 개발 활용되고 있으며 소재와 장비 등 기반기술과 에너지 환경 보호를 위한 제조공정의 최적화를 위해 점점 발전하면서 점진성형 기술 또한 지속적으로 발전하고 있다. 그러나, 현재 개발의 중심에 있는 고효율 점진성형기술 대부분은 소재를 회전시킴과 동시에 영구변형을 유도하기 때문에 다른 성형기술에 비해 공정변수가 많으며 그 영향이 매우 크다. 따라서, 경험적 지식(노하우)에만 의존하는 것은 신소재 신공정 개발에 어려움이 많으므로 이론적 해석기술의 필요성은 더욱 높다. 반면, 소재의 변형과 회전이 함께 이루어지므로 이론적 해석 난이도가 높아 공정분석과 변수선정을 위한 수치해석기술 또한 상대적으로 뒤쳐져 있다. 본고에서는 점차 증가되고 있는 고효율 점진성형기술의 종류를 알아보고 실제적 기술향상을 위해 개발되고 있는 수치해석 기술에 대해 정리하고자 한다.

Optimization of polyphenol extraction from non-edible parts of Aronia melanocarpa for the development of functional bioconvergence materials (아로니아 비가식 부위로부터 기능성 바이오융복합 소재 개발을 위한 폴리페놀의 추출 공정 최적화)

  • Polyphenols extraction conditions including extraction solvent, temperature, pH and time were optimized for the development of functional bio-convergence materials using non-edible parts of Aronia melanocarpa including its berry. Water, ethanol, and methanol were used for the extraction of polyphenol from aronia leaves, stem and twigs. Water was selected as an extraction solvent because water gave the highest extraction yields. Among the non-edible parts, aronia leaves had the highest total polyphenol content. The polyphenol extraction conditions from aronia leaves were statistically optimized using a experimental design method: reaction time of 4.5 h, extraction temperature of 79.3℃, and pH 7.2. These optimized extraction conditions could be used for the production of functional bio-material.

Analysis of RTM Process to Manufacture Composite Bogie Frame Considering Fiber Orientation (섬유방향성을 고려한 복합소재 대차 프레임의 RTM 성형 특성 해석)

  • To reduce the weight of a railroad vehicle, a bogie frame skin is considered for manufacture using an RTM process and composite material. Compared to other processes, RTM has merits in that it demands only simple manufacturing facilities and can produce a large and complex structure in a short cycle time. On the other hand, it is important to determine the proper number and locations of gates and vents to prevent void formation inside a structure. In this study, we numerically predicted the flow pattern in a bogie frame skin during the RTM process by distinguishing the permeability of a fiber mat as isotropic or anisotropic. Using the results, we analyzed the RTM process conditions of the bogie frame to predict skin void formation, mold filling time, and optimum location of vents depending on the permeability conditions.

Exploring the constructs of school happiness of elementary students (초등학생의 학교 행복감 구성요인 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the factors of school happiness of elementary students by implicit theory. For this purpose, 192 items for happiness were constructed based on 76 5th and 6th elementary students' free descriptions. Then 75 items were selected for preliminary factor analysis based on item appropriateness by evaluation of 28 elementary teachers. The happiness inventory composed 136 items was administered to 155 students and 36 items were selected based on exploratory factor analysis results. 4 factors-optimism, positive peer-relationship, self-esteem, consideration, and teacher-relationship-were extracted by principal component analysis. The confirmatory factor analysis indices indicated that 4 factor model of happiness was fit. The reliability(Cronbach's ${\alpha}$) was .996.

  • This research is accompanied with Tanaka's works in order to consider the result from the evaluation of his works through an impression analysis and his expression trendency. The nine posters are chosen for appraisal among a series of Kanseino Poster which Ikko Tanaka drew under the sponsorship of Sankei Newspaper. The reason why those posters are selected is that the structure is strong and simple comparatively. Tanaka Ikko's poster works can be generously explained with three factors through a factor analysis. Considering his works in all cluster analysis, in the first group, he makes a good use of traditional materials and his works have a powerful image. In the second group, a geometric figure is arranged simply and a modern image is strong. In the third group, the traditional materials express a modern image. As mentioned above, the mood of his works can be summarized as follows. $\ulcorner$His works have updated the Japanese image from traditional to modern$\lrcorner$.

Influence of the Starting Materials and Sintering Conditions on Composition of a Macroporous Adsorbent as Permeable Reactive Barrier (초기 소재와 소성조건이 투수반응벽체인 대공극흡착제 조상에 미치는 영향)

  • In this investigation, we observed surface morphology and porosity of a macroporous adsorbent made of Na-bentonite and Ca-bentonite as structure formation materials and grounded waste paper as macropore forming material for the development of a permeable reactive barrier to remove heavy metals in groundwater. Therefore, we selected minerals having higher cation exchange capacity among 2:1 clay minerals and other industrial minerals because sintering can significantly influence cation exchange capacity, resulting in drastic decrease in removal of heavy metals. The results showed that the increasing sintering temperature drastically decreased CEC by less than 10 % of the indigenous CEC carried by the selected minerals. One axial compressibility test results showed that the highest value was obtained from 5% newspaper waste pulp for both structure formation materials of Na-bentonite and Ca-bentonite although there were not much difference in bulk density among treatments. The pore formation influenced by sintering temperature and period contributes removal of heavy metals passing through the sintered macroporous media having different water retention capacity.

Performance Evaluation of Composite Safety Barrier for Bridge by Vehicle Impact Simulation (차량 충격 시뮬레이션을 통한 복합소재 교량용 방호울타리의 성능 분석)

  • In this study, the performance of composite safety barriers was evaluated through computer simulation. A composite safety barrier of SB4 grade was modeled. The MAT58 material model provided by LS-DYNA software was used to model composite material. The performance of composite material varies according to fiber, resin type, and fiber direction. Polyurethane resin and glass fiber were used. The performance of three different stacking designs was evaluated by carrying out vehicle impact simulation. The performance evaluation based on the vehicle crash manual includes the structural strength performance, the passenger protection performance, the vehicle behavior after crash, scattering of the guardrail. As the result of the finite element analysis, the barrier composed of the more transverse direction fibers shows the better performance on the impact simulation.
