Evaluation of Performance in Semi-Open Type Impeller by Duplex Stainless Material for Ballast Water Centrifugal Pump (듀플렉스 스테인리스강 소재를 응용한 Semi-Open Type 임펠러의 성능 평가)

  • A special usage impeller pump for ballast water treatment is part of an offshore plant's structure. It has to maintain a high corrosion resistance in an extreme environment, in which it can contact several kinds of aqueous solutions. The duplex stainless steel used in such severe environments is known to have corrosion resistance and excellent mechanical properties. This study estimated the performance of an impeller pump system designed using duplex stainless steel through a computational fluid dynamics analysis. As a result, it was determined that the pressure drop increases and the impeller performance is lowered if the equivalent roughness is enlarged. The surface precision of the duplex stainless steel must be consistently maintained. If thisis the case, it was determined that the existing STS steel can be substituted for the Duplex stainless steel.

Finite Element Analysis for the Forging Process Design of a Blind Rivet (블라인드 리벳의 단조공정설계를 위한 유한요소해석)

  • A rivet which can fasten two parts is one of an important mechanical elements. In this study, the process design of a blind revet is implemented using finite element method in order to manufacture it which can resist high vibration and has strong coherence between two parts. Considering plastic flow, ease of manufacture, high strength, material loss, and so forth, an optimal four-stage process is proposed by finite element analysis and process design rules. In addition, the finite element simulation results such as shape of the forged rivet, strain distribution and forging load are investigated for the usefulness of the forging process of the blind rivet. These results will be contributed to the forging process design and the die design of the blind rivet.

  • A basic design for a Technical Development Model (TDM) of liquid oxygen lines from the turbopump exit to the oxidizer valves of the combustion chamber and the gas generator was conducted to develop a turbopump-fed liquid rocket engine. The TDM is composed of straight lines, elbows, bellows, a branch, an orifice, flanges and a heat insulator. Materials were determined by consideration of operation conditions, weight constraint and manufacturing procedures. The size and the location of each component were determined by flow analysis of the required flowrate and the pressure loss. Basic designs of the components were conducted by consideration of the operating temperature and the maximum expectation operating pressure. The safety factors were evaluated by structural analysis of design of each component.

소자본창업 외식업소의 사전준비 요인과 경영성과 간의 관계에 관한 연구

  • 이 연구의 목적은 소자본 외식업소 창업시 사전 준비단계 요인들의 필요성과 그 효용성을 알아보는 데 연구목적을 세우고, 서울 및 경기지역에 소재하고 있는 외식업체 창업자들을 대상으로 전문조사원이 설문조사를 실시하여 수집된 자료를 spss(통계 패키지 프로그램)를 활용하여 분석하였다. 창업전 준비단계별 중요성 평가와 경영성과 간의 관계를 규명함으로써 새로 소자본 외식업소 창업을 하고자 하는 예비 창업자들에게 좀 더 효율적인 정보를 제공하고자 한다. 연구 결과, 창업준비성 요인인 창업교육, 창업동기, 업종경험, 자금조달 능력,사업자 역량, 가족의 동의, 창업자의 건강이 타 요인 대비 더 많이 강조되었으며, 창업준비성 요인에 대한 경영성과 우수집단의 중요성 평가가 저조집단 대비 통계 적으로 유의미하게 높았다. 업종(아이템) 선정 요인인 아이템과 창업자, 창업자금, 입지와의 적합성, 수명주기, 향후 발전성, 유행성, 노동력 공급의 용이성이 타 요인 대비 더 많이 강조되었으며, 아이템 선정 요인에 대한 경영성과 우수집단의 중요성 평가가 저조집단 대비 통계적으로 유의미하게 높았다. 상권내 입지분석 요인인 경쟁점포, 유동인구, 교통 편리성, 주목성, 가시성이 타 요인 대비 더 많이 강조 되었으며, 상권내 입지분석 요인에 대한 경영성과 우수집단의 중요성 평가가 저조집단 대비 통계적으로 유의미하게 높았다. 이 같은 결과는 여러 준비단계 중 특히 창업준비성 요인과 아이템선정 요인, 상권내 입지분석 요인이 중요하며, 이는 장기적으로 안정된 경영을 뒷받침해주는 요인임을 시사한 것으로 볼 수 있다.

Temperature Prediction of Al6061 Tube in Cryogenic Heat Treatment by CFD Analysis and Experimental Verification (CFD 해석을 이용한 Al6061 튜브의 극저온 열처리 시 소재의 온도 예측 및 실험적 검증)

  • The purpose of this study is to establish the analysis method for prediction of temperature during cryogenic heat treatment. Experimental cryogenic heat treatment is conducted to observe the phenomena such as boiling of fluid, ice layer on the material surface and to measure the temperature distribution of Al6061 tube. The CFD analysis considering the observed phenomena in the experiment is performed to predict the temperature distribution and convection heat transfer coefficient at each stage of cryogenic heat treatment, in which the boiling of fluid is considered as the multi-phase condition of vapour and liquid. The formation of ice layer on the tube surface is also modeled between material and fluid. The predicted results are in good agreement with the experimental ones. From the results, it is shown that the analysis method can predict the temperature distribution and convection heat transfer coefficient during cryogenic heat treatment.

  • Generally, progressive type GMP process is more efficient than batch type because there are advantages that problems of each stage(heating, press, cooling etc.) are easily grasped and a time of production is shortened. But if single cavity is used in progressive type GMP process, there is disadvantage that productivity is decreased. So, in order to improve productivity of progressive type GMP process, it is essential to secure multi cavity mold technic. In this study, as a fundamental study to develop multi cavity used in glass lens molding, we conducted a compression test for PBK40.

  • This paper presents a modal solution of linear three-dimensional hydrodynamic equations using similarity transform technique. The solution over the vertical space domain is obtained using the Galerkin method with linear shape funtions (Galerkin-FEM model). Application of similarity transform to resulting tri-diagonal matrix equations gives rise 掠 a set of uncoupled partial differential equations of which the unknowns are coefficients of mode shape vectors.   • This research was conducted to analyze the change of surface tension, viscosity, streaming current and conductivity of transformer oil when it were injected with the interface active substances.(anionic:S-111, cationic:S-121, amphoteric:S-131) The changes properties of the surface tension and viscosity of the oil which were injected with the interface active substances were divided into the changes area and the minimum reduction area. The surface tension and viscosity of the oil which were injected with three different kinds of interface active substances showed remarkable change at the point where the concentration of the substance in anionic, in cationic and in amphoteric were 100[ppm], 10[ppm] and 1[ppm] respectively. The streaming current and conductivity of the same sample oil were also changed at the same densities of the surface tension and viscosity. For this factor, it was possibile for us to interpret the mechanism of the streaming current and conductivity. Therefore the interface active substances of the three kinds were injected into the oil within the limit of optimal volume, prevention effects of electrification were showed more excellence than unmixed insulating oil.

Analysis of Enhancement Effect and Attachment Ability of Beneficial Intestinal Microflora in Puffed Grain Foods Using Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy (곡물 소재 팽화식품에서 장내 유익균의 증진 효과 분석 및 공초점 현미경을 이용한 부착능 평가)

  • This study examined the adhesiveness of beneficial intestinal bacteria to whole-grains using confocal scanning laser microscopy (CLSM), to demonstrate the prebiotic effects of whole-grains, and to develop prebiotic puffed snacks with these whole-grains. CLSM has been used to observe the adhesiveness of Lactobacillus acidophilus, which belongs to beneficial intestinal bacteria, to whole-grain powders using optical sectioning techniques. The enhanced effects on the growth of beneficial intestinal bacteria with the hot water grain extract were verified using an indirect count method. Finally, a puffed snack was produced with the prebiotic effect and the quality was evaluated by checking the chromaticity and degree of hardness. As a result, L. acidophilus exhibited adhesive ability to whole-grain powders and growth of selected beneficial intestinal bacteria were improved significantly. The Hunter L value of the developed puffed snack increased when seasoning was added. The hardness of the puffed snack with seasoning was higher than that of the control. The results of a sensory evaluation showed that the puffed snack with seasoning was highly rated in the overall preference compared to the control.

Structural Stability Analysis of One-Touch Insertion Type Pipe Joint for Refrigerant (냉매용 원터치 삽입식 파이프 조인트의 안전성 구조해석)

  • Purpose: Pipes are widely used as applied devices in many industrial fields such as machinery, electronics, electricity, and plants, and are also widely used in safety-related fields such as firefighting and chemistry. With the diversification of products, the importance of technology in the piping field is also increasing. In particular, when changing the existing copper pipe to stainless steel, it is necessary to evaluate safety and flow characteristics through structural analysis or flow analysis. Method: This study investigated the structural stability of the 6.35 and 15.88 socket models, which are integrated insert type connectors developed by a company, using FEM. For structural analysis, HyperMesh as pre-processor, HYPER VIEW as post-processor, and LS-DYNA as solver were used. Result: In the case of 6.35 socket, the maximum stresses at hook, holder and hinge were 95.02MPa, 19.59MPa and 44.01MPa, respectively, and in case of 15.88 socket, it was 127.7 MPa, 40.09MPa and 45.23MPa, respectively. Conclusion: Comparing the stress distribution of the two socket models, the stress in the 15.88 socket, which has a relatively large outer diameter, appears to be large overall, but it is significantly lower than the yield stress of each material, indicating that there is no problem in structural safety in both models.
