가속도 측정신호를 이용한 냉장고 홴의 진동원과 방사소음의 예측 (Estimation of Vibration Source and Sound Radiation of a Refrigerator Fan by using Measured Acceleration Signals)

  • Obtaining the real exciting force is important for the analysis of structural vibration or sound radiation to represent the actual condition. But in most cases, it is so difficult to get the actual force signals by direct measurement using sensors due to complex geometry. This paper suggests advanced source identification method which can be applied to the prediction of radiated noise considering correlations between measured signals. This method was implemented to the identification of the fan force in the refrigerator. The analysis of structural vibration and radiated noise caused by the fan force was also performed. The comparison between predicted SPL and measured SPL of the radiated noise by the refrigerator fan showed good agreement.

  • The characteristics of radiated noise from the hydraulic breaker were measured under the revised regulation of Ministry of environment. The directivity of radiated noise was also measured at a distance of 7.5 m and a height of 1.5 m from the operating hydraulic breaker.

  • This paper presents an approach of predicting the radiated noise due to the structural vibration by internal harmonic forces using the doubly asymptotic approximation (DAA). Acoustic transfer vector is derived from the Helmholtz integral equation and the fluid-structure interaction relation of DAA. Numerical results and analytical results of radiated noise for a cylindrical shell were compared and showed that they were consistent in most of frequencies and radiation directions, but showed errors in some radiated directions in the mid-frequency region. Despite these errors, the prediction method will be suitable for practical radiated noise prediction.

  • The overall noise reduction was compared in regard to the vibrational characteristics of floor impact noise in a multi story residential building which has several noise reduction treatments. The vibration through its structural elements such as wall, floor and ceiling and sound emitting were investigated for each insulation treatment. It was found that, in case of heavy-weight impact noise, the vibration energy is emitted mostly from ceiling, but for the light-weight impact noise, most of the energy comes through ceiling and walls.   • Analogous problem for a gear dynamics where helical gears excite logitudinal forces in the shaft is studied. These shaft forces excite the supporting gear housing through bearing, causing structural vibration. In this study, shaft is modeled as a rod, and bearing is modeled by a massless spring. A simple model for gear housing is a clamped circular plate. To model this force transmission, the transfer functions from the shaft to a clamped circular plate are analytically derived by using the spectral method and four-pole parameter. Finally, radiated noise is computed, using the acoustic relations due to plate surface vibration.

  • Recently in Korea, noise is one of the most important social issues because the living standard becomes more higher. Railway noise is also annoying one in our society, although railway has very positive role in our country. The major measures for mitigation of railway noise in Korea are rail welding and installation of noise barrier on the noisy area. But these measures have its own limit for the calm and comfortable living environment. In Europe the railway noise problem has been treated more systematically and aggressively, there has been emission noise standard for Trans-European rail network. In this paper, the trend of noise standard for railway vehicles will be reported and the check point for our country will be discussed.

냉장고용 왕복동식 압축기의 가진력 규명 및 방사소음 예측 (Force Identification and Sound Prediction of a Reciprocating Compressor for a Refrigerator)

  • In this paper, the hybrid method to identify the exciting forces and radiated noise generated from the reciprocating compressor was presented. In order to identify the exciting force, both the acceleration data measured at the compressor shell and numerical finite element model for the full set of compressor were used simultaneously. Applying the identified exciting forces to the numerical model, the velocity responses of all nodes at the shell were predicted. Finally the radiated noises from the vibrating shell were predicted by using the direct boundary element acoustic analysis. For precise numerical modeling, the stiffness of rubber mounts and body springs were identified experimentally from the natural frequencies measured by impact testing. The error of over-all sound pressure level between predicted noise and measured noise was about 2.9 dB.

  • A solution procedure of vibration and radiated noise of the plate covered with damping material has been studied. To predict the vibration level and the radiated noise level of the plate covered with damping material, FEM and BEM have been utilized, respectively. A property of damping material has been measured by using a composite beam. Two different kinds of measuring procedure for the composite beam have been introduced by comparing its characteristics. The numerical prediction of vibration level of the Plate covered with damping material has been proved with experimental data.

  • This paper is a case study for the reduction of excavator Radiated noise. The main purpose of the study is to reduction noise for the cooling fan and hydraulic line which is main noise source of the excavator. Recent, noise regulations for the construction equipment is becoming stricter. Compare to past excavator drivers requirements for noise level demanding are becoming more and more. Therefore, this progress is an important role in determining the quality of the excavator.

  • Transfer Path Analysis is technique predicting transmitted energy through each path. Using the Transfer Path Analysis, structure-borne noise and air-borne noise can be predicted from the system. In this study, however, the Transfer Path Analysis to target only the structure-borne noise due to the noise radiated from the vibrating panel was performed. Predicted noise by the Transfer Path Analysis and measured noise by the experiment were a high correlation. We confirmed the validity of the Transfer Path Analysis through the analysis of these results, showed how to apply the Transfer Path Analysis.
