Inelastic Behavior of H-Shaped Beams with Web Openings under Cyclic Loading (반복하중을 받는 유공 H-형강 보의 소성 거동)

  • A total of nine H-shaped beams with web openings under cyclic loading condition were investigated. The dimension criteria are based on the formulae proposed by Darwin. The suitability of existing design formulae the effects of plastic hinge on beams with web openings the fracture around the web openings and the influence of cracks neighboring web openings to the beam strength under cyclic loading were also investigated through the observation of the behavior of these beams with various opening dimensions. locations numbers and spacing between the two openings.

  • 본 연구에서는 재료의 이방성을 고려한 점소성 모델을 제시하였다. 공학적 인 견지에서 볼 때 이방성 재료의 기계적 거동을 표한하기 위해서는 단순화 이론(si- mplified theory)의 개발이 필요하게 되었으며 이에따라 Betten은 등방성 소성 포텐셜 (isotropic plastic potential)에서 응력텐서를 재료의 이방성을 포함하는 변환 응력 텐서(mapped stress tensor)로 대체함으로써 이방성을 고려하였다. 그러므로 실제 이방성 재료의 비탄성 거동은 가상의 등방성 상태로 치환되며 여기에 소성 포텐셜 이 론을 적용하게 된다.

  • 선형탄성 파괴해석은 균열을 갖는 변형률 경화재료의 파괴거동을 예측하는데 불충분하기 때문에 최근에는 균열 선단 부에서 대규모 소성 역을 갖는 균열 체에 적용할 수 있는 많은 파괴역학개념이 제안되고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 대규모항복 조건하의 연성파괴를 보이는 평판을 정확하게 해석할 수 있는 새로운 유한요소모델을 제시하고자 한다. 균열 선단 부의 응력 장을 정의하는데 가장 지배적인 파괴매개변수인 J-적분 값과 소성 역의 크기 및 형상을 J-적분법과 등가영역적분법을 통해 파괴거동을 설명할 수 있도록 증분소성이론에 기초를 둔 p-version 유한요소해석이 채택되었다. 제안된 유한요소모델에 의한 수치해석결과는 이론 해와 h-version 유한요소해석과 비교되었다.

Plasticity Model for Directionality of Concrete Crack Damages (콘크리트 균열 손상의 방향성을 고려한 다중파괴기준 소성 모델)

  • The inherent characteristic of concrete tensile cracks, directional nonlocal crack damage, causes so-called rotating tensile crack damage and softening of compressive strength. In the present study, a plasticity model was developed to describe the behavior of reinforced concrete planar members In tension-compression. To describe the effect of directional nonlocal crack damage, the concept of microplane model was combined with the plasticity model. Unlike existing models, in the proposed model, softening of compressive strength as well as the tensile crack damage were defined by the directional nonlocal crack damage. Once a tensile cracking occurs, the microplanes of concrete are affected by the nonlocal crack damage. In the microplanes, microscopic tension and compression failure surfaces are calculated. By integrating the microscopic failure surfaces, the macroscopic failure surface is calculated. The proposed model was implemented to finite element analysis, and it was verified by comparisons with the results of existing shear panel tests.

  • 화강토와 관련된 지반문제의 거동예측을 위한 수치해석의 적용이 양적인 면에서는 많이 확대되어왔지만 해석결과에 지대한 영향을 미치는 구성방정식 등 수치해석 모델링을 개선하고자 하는 노력은 부족하였다. 화강토 거동의 특징은 내재적 결합력으로 인한 구조화의 거동을 나타내는 것이며, 항복면이 평균유효응력 축에 대칭이고 Non-associated 소성거동을 보인다는 점이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 화강토 거동을 표현하기 위하여 일반화된 한계상태모델을 도입하고, 이를 화강토의 경화거동 모델링이 가능하도록 확장하였다. 제안된 모델을 이용한 삼축시험의 유한요소 시뮬레이션 결과는 측정결과와 좋은 일치를 보였다. 화강토 지반내 터널에 대한 유한요소해석을 수행한 결과, 비선형 탄성모델과 조합된 확장된 한계상태모델이 현장계측결과와 잘 일치하는 결과를 주었다.

  • Certain structural components are exposed to high temperatures. At high temperature, under thermal and mechanical loading, metal components exhibit both creep and plastic behavior. The unified constitutive theory is to model both the time-dependent behavior(creep) and the time-independent behavior(plasticity) in one set of equations. Microscopically both creep and plasticity are controlled by the motion of dislocations. A finite element method is presented encorporating a unified constitutive model for the transient analysis of viscoplastic behavior of structures exposed to high temperature.

A Study on the Failure Mode of FRP Bridge Deck in It's Weak Axis (FRP 바닥판의 약축방향 파괴모드에 관한 연구)

  • The failure mechanism of a hollow bridge deck which is made of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) to improve its durability and life time significantly is investigated using both experiments and analyses. While the Load-displacement behavior of the deck in the longitudinal direction is almost linear just before the failure, the behavior in the transverse direction shows a strong nonlinearity even in its initial response with relatively small magnitude of loads. We found that the nonlinearity is due to the imperfection of the connection between the flange and the web; a plastic deformation can t라e place in the connection. The argument is demonstrated using a simple structural model in which a rigid plastic hinge is introduced to the connection. We also checked the contribution of the delamination mechanism to the failure. But the delamination is not the main mechanism which initiates and causes the failure of the bridge deck. In order to improved the structural behavior of the deck in the transverse direction, we suggested that the empty space of the bridge deck is filled with a foam and confirmed the improved behavior by a numerical analysis.

Modeling Strain Rate-dependent Behavior in Consolidation of Natural Clay (자연점토의 변형률속도 의존적인 압밀거동의 해석)

  • In order to analyze effects of strain rate on consolidation of natural clay, this paper presents a nonlinear elasto viscoplastic model in which viscoplastic behavior is modeled by a unique effective stress-strain-strain rate relationship (equation omitted). The predicted values using numerical analysis are compared with measured ones in several laboratory tests such as creep test, multistage load test, and relaxation test for Berthierville clay. It is possible to estimate consolidation behavior of natural clay with reasonable accuracy using the proposed nonlinear viscoplastic model.
