The Effect of Brand Webtoon Users' Need for Uniqueness on Attitudes towards the Content and the Intention of WOM: Focusing on a mediation effect of the need for self-expression and a moderation effect of the perception of persuasive intent (브랜드 웹툰 수용자의 독특성 욕구가 콘텐츠 태도 및 구전의도에 미치는 영향: 자아표현 욕구 충족의 매개와 지각된 설득의도의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • This study investigates how consumers' need for uniqueness and for self-expression have influence on their attitude towards brand webtoon contents and word of mouth intention. The results of this study shows that among the sub-dimensions of brand webtoon users' need for uniqueness, unpopular choices has a significantly positive influence on their need for self-expression, and in turn it has a strong positive impact on both attitude towards the webtoon content and intention of word of mouth. In particular, the data show that respondents' perceived perception of the persuasive intent of the brand webtoon moderates the effect of need for self-expression on the attitude towards the content. More specifically, respondents who perceive the persuasive intent in brand webtoon show a lesser degree of favourable attitude towards the content than do respondents who do report a low level of perception of persuasive intent of the brand webtoon. In sum, this study not only provides a theoretical foundation to understand how consumers perceive brand webtoons in terms of their need for uniqueness and for self-expression, but the study has implications for practitioners who are interested in using a brand webtoon for marketing.

The Effect of Consumption Value and Consumers' Need for Cognition on Satisfaction through the Mediating Role of Trust in Online Shopping Websites (소비가치와 소비자의 인지욕구가 온라인 쇼핑 웹사이트에 대한 신뢰성을 매개로 만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aims to confirm that consumers' satisfaction with online shopping websites has changed to a phenomenon different from the past. In other words, in a situation where the use of e-commerce is expanding worldwide after the pandemic and various types of commerce such as mobile commerce and social commerce are formed, the consumer's information processing and decision-making process are meaningful in examining the behavior that has been changed based on the perceived motivation level of consumers by the new environment according to the consumption value and personal characteristics perceived by the consumer. In other words, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of consumption value and need for cognition on the satisfaction toward online websites as a mediating role in the trust of the website. As a result of testing Hypothesis 1, not only the hedonic value of the consumer for the website but also the utilitarian value had a positive influence on the satisfaction toward the website, and in particular, the utilitarian value showed a relatively greater influence than the hedonic value. However, the negative relationship between the need for cognition and satisfaction was found to be at a significant level under one-sided verification. In Hypothesis 2, only the utilitarian value among the consumption values of 2-1 showed a positive effect on satisfaction through a mediating role of trust. It was confirmed that the utilitarian value among the consumption values was an important factor in the satisfaction toward the website. The significance of this study is that, unlike previous research results, not only consumption value based on senses and emotions but also utilitarian value has a greater influence. Therefore, utilitarian value and need for cognition have a stronger influence on satisfaction if they play a mediating role based on the trust of the website used by consumers. These findings reflect the current market trend of online consumption, and they are helpful in the management and strategy of online websites based on consumer behavior understanding and major factors.

  • 국내 계란시장도 변화를 거듭하고 있다. 소비자들의 식품에 대한 욕구와 식품안전에 대한 인식이 높아지면서 계란시장도 소비자를 충족시키기 위한 방법들이 다방면으로 시도되고 있다. 이제는 일반 계란만이 아닌 영양란, 신선란, 기능란 등 차별화된 계란 브랜드와 품질로 소비자를 유혹하고 있다. 이에 발맞추어 계란포장에서도 다양해지면서 이제는 브랜드를 구별하거나 신선도를 확인할 수 있는 단계까지 요구되면서 식란에 표기할 수 있는 인쇄까지 도입이 확대되어 가고 있다. 이에 본고는 계란전용마킹기계 제품으로 국내시장에서 잘 알려진 이마지코리아를 방문해 계란마킹산업의 흐름과 제품에 대한 인터뷰를 가져보았다.

  • 세계의 화장품 개발방향은 소비자의 욕구와 다양화와 관련기술 등의 발달로 인하여 피부미화, 청결 등의 단순한 효능에서 이제 고기능, 다기능을 갖는 제품들의 개발로 변화되고 있다. 이러한 세계적인 추세에 따라 국제화된 국내시장에도 기능성 화장품이 수입 또는 제조되고 있으며 국내 소비자들도 이러한 제품을 선호하는 경향을 보이고 있으므로 이를 적정하게 규제하며 소비자를 보호하기 위하여 기능성 화장품의 정의가 필요하게 되었다. 정의설정을 위해 미국, EU, 일본 등의 화장품의 정의와 범위 등을 연구하고 실제 판매되고 있는 제품들을 참고하여 기능성 화장품을 정의하였다. 또, 이러한 화장품의 범위 등을 구체적으로 설정하고 이에 대한 규제동향 등을 제사하고자 한다.

  • 국민생활수준 향상에 따라 식품소비패턴이 변화되고 소비자의 안전 농식품에 대한 요구도 증대하고 있다. 2005년 12월 국무조정실에서 실시한 설문조사에 따르면 식품구입 시 가장 우선적으로 고려하는 요소로 응답자의 약 34%가 '위생안전'을 꼽았다. 이는 유통기한을 선택한 36%까지 합하면 무려 70%가량이 안전성을 가장 우선적으로 생각한다는 결과이다. 최근 미국산 쇠고기 수입재개와 관련하여 나타난 식품안전에 대한 국민들의 관심과 수준은 단순히 통계수치와는 비교도 할 수 없는 거대한 전율을 느끼게 만들기에 충분한 것이었다. 식품안전에 대해 이렇게 수준 높은 소비자들의 욕구를 모두 만족시킬 수있는 정책을 단기간에 개발하기란 쉽지 않겠지만 한편으로는 올바른 정보들이 충분히 제공된다면 현명한 소비자들이 있기에 정책이 더욱 정교해지고 발전할 수 있을 것이라 생각한다.

  • As the residential culture of Korea is transformed from house oriented to apartment oriented residential environment these days, the bedroom closets are changing into the built-in furniture such as built-in closets. As the life style of consumers become richer and wealthy, the bedroom furniture is changing to respond for the forms, function, and design characteristics of the consumer's demand. Therefore, in this study, the characteristics of the built-in closets such as structure, function and material were studied to analyze the basic changes and compared the normal closet to the built-in closet to analyze the elements in terms of environment and convenience. Moreover, to develop forms and designs to fit various characteristics and differences of the consumers, various forms of consumer demand were analyzed. Therefore, this study intended to provide the basic information for providing the efficient form and structure that enables the use of internal space as the consumer wishes to change the design elements, and other spaces to fit the changed residential environment.

A Study on the Effects of O2O Commerce Characteristics and Consumer Characteristics on Trust, Desire and Intention to Use in China (중국 O2O 커머스 특성과 소비자 특성이 신뢰, 욕구 및 이용의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study to analyze the relationship among three characteristics of O2O commerce and extended goal-directed behavior(EGB) model(trust, desire and intention to use). From June to July in 2015, the questionnaires were sent to Chinese customers using O2O commerce. Among 494 questionnaires gathered, 433 valid ones are analyzed using SPSS and AMOS. Among ten research hypotheses derived from prior research and the research model, eight hypotheses are tenable, while the rest hypotheses are untenable. Online features of mobility and Offline features of service quality. The Online features of mobility bring consumers convenience but also has some latent customer privacy issue. On other hand, because of the untenable hypothesis, there is inconformity between online service and offline service, and customer have distrust on the O2O commerce. To achieve continuous online consumption, offline businesses need to improve their service. The perceived quality of selling company exerts a significant effect on the customers' reliability for the brand equity of open market company and selling company, such as the brand awareness of the open market, open market image, brand awareness of selling company, and the perceived quality of selling company. Thus, selling company should improve self-brand service and quality in order to improve customers' reliability. In addition, the consumer characteristics of attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control are all tenable. These results mean that O2O commerce is a favorite way of consumption by Chinese consumers.

  • Consumption is the most important cultural keyword in the modern society. This study tried an exploratory comparison of consumer culture of Korea, USA and Sweden in response to the needs on cultural comparison research perspective. Triandis's cultural dimensions were adopted to explore each country's cultural characteristics. A qualitative in-depth interviews were conducted to consumers who lived both in Korea and USA, or in Korea and Sweden, which enabled them to get familiar with each country's consumer culture. The research found that the culture is projected to the consumer culture in a micro domain. The individualism allowed consumers in USA and Sweden to be unconscious of other's eyes. But collectivism in Korea made Korean consumers locked in other's judgement. In contrast, in a macro domain of consumer culture such as donation and pro-environmental consumption, consumption practices were in a dissonance with their cultural orientation, where includes interaction with society and environment. In addition, in a post-materialistic society, symbolism of consumption goods gets weakened and experiential consumption evolves with a transition from mass consumption society to plural culture society. Lastly, consumer culture functions as a creative mechanism of new culture by consumer's reflexive planning, which is one of the clues of an autonomous consumer culture. This study tried to explore the consumer culture of Korea, USA and Sweden as an exploratory trial for the comparison of consumer cultures. To increase empirical consumer culture study, refined questionnaire item pool is to be extracted through various exploratory researches, which can be utilized commonly in various cultures. Moreover, an additional research is in need about a consumer culture in a macro domain and experiential consumer culture in a post-materialism society.

  • 최근 FTA 체결은 국내의 농식품 소비자들을 값싼 외국산 농식품으로 소비 패턴을 변화시킬 수 있다. 또한 유통시장의 변화 즉, 소비자-생산자 간의 직거래 형태는 개인이 프로슈머로서 농식품 관련 컨텐츠의 제작과 생산이 더욱 활발해지도록 하며 소비자들이 구매의사 결정에 중요하게 작용하고 있다. 따라서 농식품의 효과적인 마케팅 전략읠 수립 및 실행을 위하여 소비자가 무엇을 원하고 인식하지 못한 욕구가 있는지 소비자 유형을 분석 할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 농식품 소비자 구매의도를 통한 제품이나 서비스의 이용의도로서 종속변수로 설정하여 구매의도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 또한 연구 모형을 위해 교류빈도, 친밀감, 호혜성, 감정의 강도라는 SNS 특성을 도출하여 분석하였다.
