Effects of Ad Message Framing By Chinese Personal Traits: Based Upon Applicability to Producing Digital Contents Reflecting Korean Wave (광고 메시지 프레이밍이 중국인의 성격 특성에 따라 태도에 미치는 영향 연구: 한류 디지털 콘텐츠 제작을 위한 적용 가능성을 중심으로)

  • This study examined the effects of message framing (advertising attitude and brand attitude) to Chinese consumers in order to establish guidelines for digital content development reflecting the Korean Wave in China. Specifically, in positive message framing, Southerners with low neuroticism due to their personality characteristics show a greater advertising effect than Northerners with high neuroticism. Based on these results, this study provides a theoretical basis for establishing the direction of Korean Wave digital content production according to differences in residential areas reflecting personality in China.

  • This article suggest a research method to extract user needs for designing social interface of a service robot. We first discuss social design issues for the service robot. Then we present a novel survey method for the service robot based on the social design issues and robot characteristics. Finally we discuss survey results, answered by Korean customers, of functional needs, social characteristics, product design for a home service robot. It is analyzed that Korean customers expect the image of home service robot as “a late teenager female who helps household work effectively”

  • This paper aims to investigate the difference in perception about businesses' diverse marketing-mix activities depending on personality traits and its influence upon consumers' buying intention. For this research, a total of 400 men and women in Seoul and nearby capital areas, the most potent buyers of cell phones mostly in their 20s, were randomly chosen for questionnaires. Among them, 298 were finally selected in consideration of the validity of their responses. This paper is founded on two hypotheses; there may be some difference in perception about marketing-mix activities depending on personality traits and perceived marketing-mix activities may affect consumers' buying intention. For statistical analyses, this paper employs the SPSSWIN 14.0. The results are as follows;

  • 가전제품들의 제조기술과 기능 및 성능 등의 개선을 주도하뎐 국내 기술수준은 포화되어 발전 속도의 둔화가 가속화되므로, 경쟁력이 강화된 제품으 개발과 다양한 소비자들의 요구를 만족시키는 제품의 개발을 위하여 사용자 중심의 제품을 개발하기 위한 노력은 인간의 감성요소를 이해하고 응용하기 위한 활발한 연구로 나타나고 있는 추세이다.$^{1)}$ 사용자의 감성 연구에서 심리학적, 미학적 접근방법의 적용은 사용자의 감성을 더욱 본질적으로 이해하기 위한 하나의 방법이다. 인구통계학적, 사회경제적, 심리적 측면에 의한 개인차와 환경적 요소들의 영향에 따른 사용자의 요구들에 대한 충족여부가 취미와 가치판단의 변인으로써 작용하고, 그 취미와 가치판단은 구매행위 등의 행동특성으로 나타난다. 따라서 취미와 가치판단의 기준이되는 요소와 변인들은 행동특성을 야기시키는 요인들이 되므로 본 연구에서는 사용자의 요구를 만족시켜 경쟁력이 강화도니 제품의 개발을 위하여 소비자들의 감성과 미적 판단이 상품의 구매를 위한 의사 결정에 미치는 영향과 제품에 대한 가치판단에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 결과의 분석에 의하면 소비자의 취미돠 미적판단 기준은 내면적요소와 외부환경적요소로 구분되며 재면적 요소는 감성분류와 성격분류에 의해 분석할 수 있으며, 내면적 요소가 제품의 선호도에 영향을 미치므로 제품의 제품선택의 변인이되며, 제품에 대한 형용사적 표현은 소비자와 디자이너의 양질의통신수단임을 입증하였다.

A Note on the Effects of the Greener Market on Pollution Emission (소비자 환경친화도 변화의 오염감축효과에 관한 소고(小考))

  • A green market for a product refers to the market where the more willingness to pay for the product consumers have, the greener is the product. As the green markets begin to spread out, researches have been carried out mostly on the effects of various environmental policy measures such as unit emission standard, environmental taxes as they are applied in the green markets. This paper focus on a different issue in the green markets, that is, the effects of the greener market on pollution emission. We consider two kinds of markets, which are fully or partially covered. In the fully covered market where the products sold are necessities such that all consumers purchase the product, as the market gets greener, the amount of pollution emission decreases. On the other hand, in the partiaily covered market, it is shown that the amount of pollution emission could increase as the market becomes greener. This critically depends on whether the total output decreases or increases as the market turns greener.

금융소비자의 위험선호와 성격유형과의 관계에 관한 비교연구

  • 본 연구 목적은 MBTI에 의해 구분되는 인간의 성격유형에 따라 금융투자자들의 위험선호의 차이 유무, Private Banker의 투자 조언의 수용, 그리고 Private Bank Service의 사용의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보는 것이다. 또한 MBTI의 성격유형별 주기능 사용의 차이에 기인한 개인의 특성이 위험선호에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 실험군인 고액자산가(HNWI)와 대조군인 학생의 MBTI 성격유형을 개별로 검사하고 Holt and Laury (2002)와 Weber et al. (2002)의 설문을 활용하는 실증적인 비교분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 첫째, Holt and Laury(2002)의 Lottery연구에서 고액자산가와 일반 대조군 그리고 MBTI의 주기능분류(ST, NF)에 따른 차이는 존재하였다. 특히 고액자산가의 경우 ST와 NF 그룹의 차이가 존재하는 것을 확인하였다. 둘째, Weber et al.(2002)의 위험 감수를 측정하는 심리측정 요인 중 Gamble(g) Recreation(r)의 특성이 고액자산가에서 위험선호도에 미치는 영향이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 개인의 일상생활에 관련한 특성 또는 금융과 관련 없는 취미생활이 개인의 위험선호도에 반영될 수 있음을 나타내는 것으로 기존의 문헌들의 연구결과를 지지한다고 할 수 있다. 셋째, MBTI의 선호지표점수에 따라 위험선호도에 차이가 존재하였다. MBTI T점수가 높을 경우 위험선호도가 낮은 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 고액자산가그룹에는 영향이 없는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 넷째, MBTI 유형도표의 태도지표에 의해 구분된 유형들에 따라 전체 금융자산 대비 Private Banker를 이용하는 비율의 차이가 존재하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 고액자산가를 대상으로 분석한 결과 태도유형 EP의 경우 다른 그룹에 비해 이용비율수준이 낮아 MBTI로 분류된 성격유형에 따라 전체금융자산 대비 Private Banker의 이용수준에도 영향이 있음을 확인하였다.

The Legal Nature and Problems of Air Mileage (항공마일리지의 법적 성격과 약관해석)

  • A frequent flyer program is a loyalty program offered by many airlines. Typically, airline customers enrolled in the program accumulate frequent flyer miles corresponding to the distance flown on that airline or its partners. There are other ways to accumulate miles. In recent years, more miles were awarded for using co-branded credit and debit cards than for air travel. Acquired miles can be redeemed for free air travel; for other goods or services, such as travel class upgrades, airport lounge access or priority bookings. The first modern frequent flyer program was created Texas International Airlines in 1979. This program was also adopted in Korean Air in 1984. Since then, the mileage programs have grown enormously. As of June 2009, the total member of two national airlines in Korea had been over thirty million. However, accumulated miles could be burden of airlines, because the korean corporations should record the annual financial report the accumulate mileage on a liability account by 'the international financial report standards(IFRS)' next year. The korean airlines need to minimize the accumulated miles, so that for instance Korean Airlines SKYPASS-miles expire 5 years after being earned. It means that miles earned on or after July 2008 will expire after five years if unredeemed. Thus, this paper attempt to analyze the unfairness of the mileage rules of korean airlines by examining a specific portion of the conditions relating to consumer protection, because many mileage users has difficulties using mileage programs and complained the amendment of the mileage rules. In conclusion, the contemporary mileage rules in Korea are rather unsatisfactory, because airlines is not only recognizing a mileage into a kind of benefit but also denying inheritance of mileage and the legal nature of mileage as a property right. It is necessary to amend relevant mileage rules in view of consumer protection, because air mileage is not simple benefit but a right of mileage user.

Sensibility and Preference of Shoes Style According to Personality of Female College Students (여대생의 성격에 따른 구두 스타일의 감성과 선호도)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the emotion and preference for shoes styles through empirical research, in accordance with personality type, age and fashion innovativeness of female students. This study was a survey research through convenience sampling of 224 college students. In order to select shoes style, a pre-classification through dictionary and online search was done to choose the representative eight styles of shoes to college students. Personality types was determined from the modified measures of the brief MBTI to fit this study, and the emotional scale of sensibility was revised from the previous studies. SPSS statistical analysis were executed as follows: First, preference and emotion on shoes styles were significantly different in accordance with the shoes type and the diagram from the results of correspondence analysis showed some relationship between the sensibility and shoes styles showing 4~5 clusters. Second, the sensibility and preference had significant difference in some type of shoes according to the personality types of college students. Third, there was a significant difference in the shoes preference and sensibility by accordance of the degree of fashion innovativeness. And there was a significant difference in preference of shoes according to the purchase frequency of consumers. We hope this data is useful to this current dynamic market of shoes to the both sides of producer and consumers.

A Study of Junior - Market Consumer Personality Types and their Effect on Clothing Behaviors (주니어 마켓 소비자의 의복행동에 대한 성격 유형적 접근)

  • This study classified consumer personality types of the junior market and examined their clothing behaviors. The subjects were composed of 283 male and 276 female high-school-age consumers. Data were collected through questionnaires. Personality types were classified by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). Data were analysed with the frequency, $X^2$, factor analysis, Cronbach's $\alpha$, ANOVA and Duncan tests using Windows SPSS 12. There was a significant difference (P<0.001) between fashion involvement and the 8 classified personality types. In fashion involvement, the extroverted feeling type was significantly higher than the other types. In brand image orientation, the extroverted thinking type was significantly higher than the other types (P<0.05). In fashion ad-orientation, the extroverted feeing type was also significantly higher than the other types. In active or passive complaining behaviors, there was no difference. In the selection criterion for clothes of color and design and style, the extroverted feeling type was also significantly higher than the other groups (P<0.05).

The Differences of Apparel Evaluation on Consumers Personality Types (소비자의 성격유형별 의복평가의 차이)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine if personality types affect apparel evaluation. Personality types was applied using Myers-Briggs Type Indicator(MBTI). The data were collected from 101 female using questionnaire to evaluate on apparel, and were analysed with factor analysis, Mann-Whitney test. Results revealed several significant differences with apparel evaluation to personality type. Extroversion and introversion had significant difference in fashion concern. Extroversion types were significantly evaluated fashion concern more than introversion types. Sensing and intuition had significant difference in conformity. Sensing types were significantly evaluated conformity more than intuition types. Thinking and feeling had significant difference in symbolism. Thinking types were significantly evaluated symbolism more than feeling types. Judging and perceiving had significant difference in conformity. Judging types were significantly evaluated conformity more than perceiving types.
