Trend of sound quality development in vehicles (자동차 음질 개발 동향)

  • 자동차에서 실내음질은 구매결정 요소들 중의 하나로 그 중요성이 점차 증가하고 있다. 따라서 다양한 운전조건에서 운전자가 기대하는 실내음질의 기대 수준을 충족시켜야 한다. 소비자는 운전경험과 습관에 따라 기대하는 음질에 차이가 있고 소리에 대한 표현방식도 모호하기 때문에 이러한 주관적 특성을 하나의 통일된 표현으로 정의 하기가 어렵다. 그러나 지난 이십여 년 동안의 음질개발과 차량 실내소음 주관평가의 통계처리로 통일된 표현을 할 수 있었다. 나아가 심리음향학 및 신호처리기술의 발달과 꾸준한 음질연구결과로 소리특성을 객관적으로 나타내는 소리의 시각화가 가능하였으며, 운전자가 인식하는 주관평가와의 상관관계를 높여 차량의 대표적인 음질인자로 정량화하여 음질목표를 설정할 수 있었다. 실내소음의 구성은 엔진 투과음, 흡배기 소음, 바람 소음, 도로 기인 소음 등으로 다양하므로 소음원에 따라 음의 균형을 맞추어 조화로운 음질개발을 하는 것이 중요했다. 또한 차량 판매되는 지역에 따라 선호음이 상이하여 지역별 실내음질의 차별화가 필요했다. 궁극적으로는 운전자의 감성품질을 만족할 수 있도록 음을 제어하여 브랜드 사운드를 개발하고 있다. 이러한 실내음질을 달성하기 위한 방법으로 소음원과 전달경로에 대해 기여도를 분석하고, 경로를 구성하는 시스템 별로 세분화하여 시스템 목표를 설정하였다. 시스템 개발에 중요한 인자로 차량의 동강성 및 흡차음 성능을 들 수 있다. 특히 디젤차량의 비중이 큰 유럽업체의 차량의 동강성 및 흡차음 개발 능력은 높게 평가되고 있다. 이에 유럽의 부품전문회사가 가지고 있는 해석과 시험적인 개발 방법을 통하여 전달계 특성을 만족하기 위한 시스템의 동강성 및 흡차음 특성을 개발하고 있다. 차량음질 튜닝의 중요한 기법 중 하나로 흡배기 개발을 추진하고 있다. 친환경자동차인 하이브리드차량, 전기차량 및 연료전지차량의 경우 전기구동부품에서 발생하는 각종 이음 발생을 최소화 했다. 보행자를 보호하고 운전의 즐거움을 향상하기 위한 가상사운드 개발을 진행하고 있다. 회사 수익성 향상을 위한 원가절감 및 구조 경량화에 따른 음질악화와 연비 향상 및 배기가스 규제 강화로 고성능 고출력 엔진탑재에 따른 음질악화 요인을 극복해야 했다. 운전자의 청감은 차량의 운전성에 따라서도 크게 영향을 받게 되므로 엔진제어와 변속기제어를 통해 음질과 운전성이 조화를 이룰 수 있도록 개발하고 있다. 향후, 소음원에 따른 시스템 최적화 개발, 운전성과 음질 연계 개발과 친환경차량의 가상사운드 개발 등이 자동차 음질 개발의 중요한 이슈로 생각한다.

A Study on Apparel Benefits and Buying Behavior according to Values and Lifestyles (주부의 가치관에 따른 소비자 유형별 의복추구혜택과 구매관련행동 특성)

  • The purposes of this study were 1) to classify female consumers on VALS, 2) to identify the differences of psychological characteristics and demographics among the classified groups, and 3) to investigate the apparel benefits, buying behavior, shopping practices and psychological characteristics of each groups. For the study, a sample of 340 female consumers participated in this survey research. The data was analyzed utilizing descriptive statistics, factor analysis, cluster analysis, $\chi^2$-test, one-way ANOVA and Duncan test. Seven dimensions of values were identified by factor analysis: Consumption-oriented, Achievement-oriented , Diligence/sincerity-oriented, Pessimistic value tendencious, conservative/conventional value oriented, Dignity-oriented and Socialite-oriented. Based on these dimensions female consumers classified into three clusters: inner values-directed group, passive/inactive group, and achievement-oriented group. Achievement-oriented group showed the highest scores in optimum stimulation level and materialism, and tended to be younger and be employed than the other two groups. Both inner values-directed group and achievement-oriented group showed higher scores in self-expression/individuality and quality out of five apparel benefit than passive/inactive group. Innovative communicators, fashion innovators and fashion opinion leaders were mostly in the achievement-oriented group, while fashion followers and fashion indifferents were mostly in the passive/inactive group. It was revealed that achievement-oriented group had a larger number of fashionable clothing items and experienced more activities in vogue. Also, there were significant group differences in shopping practice, such as average monthly allowance, number of annual purchase clothing items.

A Study on Veblen Effect according to Residence Estate: Focused on Conspicuous Consumption (주거용부동산의 거주유형에 따른 베블런효과에 관한 연구: 과시소비성향을 중심으로)

  • Recently, middle and low social class entered in the upper class for the specific reasons and joined reference group in order to present demonstration effect. This phenomenon was assumed the consumer's desire for housing estate not from the leisure class. The superiority which feels belong to reference group, that was able to purchase high price product and the competence which can afford a high price goods are effective in housing estate. The study had been researched for Veblen effect according to residence estate. The partial least squares path modeling was used for Veblen effect affected by various psychological attributes, housing patterns and demographics for analysis. As a result, the conspicuous consumption from tenants was higher than residents, the social face sensitivity affected positively for self esteem and housing pattern, therefore, it caused conspicuous consumption. Moreover, we found conspicuous consumption had been increased followed by more spacious housing and higher income.

  • According to recent statistics on new consumer market trends, 'alone consumption' is at the center. This study focuses on the social big data that attracts the public's opinions in that it is important for a certain social trend to comprehensively understand the various fields such as society, locality, culture, marketing, economics, and psychology that form the background for it. Therefore, we set up the linkage of 'solo consumption' and conducted research on new consumer market trends using Opinion Analisys. As a result of this trend analysis, representative keywords such as 'honbab', 'honsul' and 'honyoeng' were derived and analyzed the trend of new consumer market using this data. Alone consumption is an inevitable new consumption trend caused by demographic change after the global economic crisis. The importance as a trend reflecting this will be further strengthened. Trend analysis by social big data will help scientific and systematic business distribution strategies and planning to help make new and valuable decisions and decisions about new consumer markets.

A Study on Strategies for Corporate Advertisements in Concept Cases (기업광고 전략에 관한 연구 -컨셉사례를 중심으로-)

  • In the face of rapidly changing society and consumer cognition, eyer-increasing importance of strategies for creating good images for a company among critical factors inf1uencing management in terms of its survive is prevalent. Today, many companies strive for getting or improving their images with advertisements for corporate identity as well as public advertisements, which is considered as a requirement of this society and age for good images of companies rather for only good products and services. In this study, we analyzed and compared the largest companies in Korea, mainly in their printed materials for advertisements over the last 10 years from 1990. Corporate advertisements performed by domestic companies could be classified into several types based on their theoretical backgrounds and creative concepts. Basic theoretical backgrounds of corporate advertisements induced in the study are recognitive-psychological model and associative learning model. And, six areas of cases were classified and analysed in terms of their such creative concepts as random difference, competitive advantage and specific creativity. We analyzed and compared cases of strategies for domestic corporate advertisements with reference to these six each area in their effects and problems in terms of theoretical and practical aspects and thereby purpose to provide companies with reference in developing strategies for corporate advertisements of companies.

  • Luxury companies are striving to improve their communication with customers while paying attention to online promotion and marketing activities. As companies interact with customers in luxury brand communities via various channels, they yield consumers higher value throughout the effective consumption process. In addition, this connection enhances customers' understanding of the company, making it easier for companies to acquire empathy from customers. This study aims to analyze the value factors that affect luxury brand community members' purchase intention and brand attitude. This study utilizes online survey results of four hundred prestige brand community users in China. The results reveal the positive effects of customer engagement on customer psychological empowerment and flow, the positive impacts of customer psychological empowerment and flow on community identity and brand attachment, the positive effects of community identity on purchase intentions, and the positive effects of brand attachment on purchase intentions and brand attitude. Furthermore, the results show that community types and fashion involvement partially moderate customer engagement. This study provides theoretical suggestions for relationship marketing in the luxury brand community environment. Last, this study presents practical implications that companies could utilize to create an emotional connection with their community members, resulting in an increase of customer support.

A Study on Determinants of Expenditure in Leisure Culture Consumption Market (레저문화 소비시장의 지출결정요인에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to estimate the expenditure determinants of the leisure goods consumption market. In order to achieve the research purpose, 6597 samples of household trend survey data were used. Tobit model was applied to estimate expenditure determinants. As a result of analysis, expenditure determinants for sporting goods were influenced by marital status, education level, age, number of households, housing ownership and income level. The variables influencing spending on leisure items such as mountain climbing, fishing and hunting items were influenced by gender, marital status, education level, age, number of households, housing ownership and income level. The analysis results can be used as policy data for the establishment of leisure culture. The National Statistical Office's household trend survey is a yearly survey through a nationwide survey, but despite the fact that it is reliable data, it is not possible to apply various variables such as psychological characteristics to estimate consumer expenditure determinants more concretely. An Exploratory Study on Car sharing by Express Bus-Linked Transportation - Case of Japan (고속버스 연계교통수단으로 카셰어링에 관한 탐색적 연구 - 일본 사례를 중심으로)

  • Recently a number of car sharing studies have been conducted that share vehicles from a consumer perspective. Meanwhile, Japan's MLIT had empirically implemented social experiment and policy for the installation of sharing car in order to make better use of the business forms and rapidly increasing car sharing associated with express bus as a new type of transaction from a sharing economy perspective. Therefore, this study examined the case of connecting with the express bus in Japan and analyzed and discussed the contents at the practical level. In addition, data collected for 229 car sharing users were verified empirically. The multiple liner regression analysis showed that three types of perceived values effect on the usage intention in the order of economic value, time value and psychology value. These findings suggest that car sharing users' perceived values are very important for increasing the degree of satisfaction with usage intention.

  • Instagram, a photo and image centered social networking service, has received increasing attention these days, from scholars and practitioners. However, little is known about the social and psychological factors that lead consumers to use this service. To provide a baseline understanding on Instagram users, the current study was conducted to discover perfectionistic self-presentation tendency expressed by the Instagram users and explore the relationships between identified perfectionistic self-presentation and intention to use Instagram variables with 250 participants. In addition, this study tried to determine the moderator effect of self-efficacy and self-construal. A comprehensive survey was directed and a total of 380 participants were recruited to verify anticipated hypotheses and research questions. The research results suggest that perfectionistic self-presentation has five sub factors: others conscious self-presentation, subjective self-presentation, environmental adaptation self-presentation, self-expansion self-presentation, and social self-presentation. The implications of this research findings are discussed.

Study on the Components of Social Media Users' Value Expectation (소셜 미디어 이용자의 기대가치 구성 요인)

  • The purpose of this research is to increase an understanding of social media users and construct a strategic, administrative foundation to measure the efficiency of communicating with them by validly classifying components of social media users' value expectation(VE). Reviewing prior research, in-depth interviews as qualitative research, pre-test and main survey as quantitative research are conducted. The result of quantitative research shows that social media users' VE was categorized in terms of utilitarian, hedonic, relational, self-evident, ethical, system functional, participative, self-ostentatious, and self-hiding perspectives. The significance of this study is as follows: 1) It views communication, psychology, marketing, media and etc. related fields from an integrated perspective. 2) It segments and categorizes social media users' VE from a practical perspective. 3) It contributes to constructing a foundation to predict, confirm, and manage social media users' attitudes from an administrative perspective. Thus, this research will aid future research on social media users' attitude using the constructed VE components as variables and future research that uses this as a basis to find media effects.
