  • In 2006, the share of fisheries distribution in Busan amounted to 1.9 million ton, which was 41 percent of the whole country. In details, coastal fishery 334 thousand ton(14% of the whole country), deep sea fishery 452 thousand ton(82%), import fishery 964 thousand ton(70%), export fishery 157 thousand ton(43%) were distributed in Busan region, respectively. Recently, the share of fisheries sale through e-commerce is increasing owing to the growth of IT and competitive price of its products. and the sale share of large discount store is also on the 10% more increase owing to the effectiveness of distribution structure. Hereafter these structure changes of fisheries distribution in Busan will be more intensified. Therefore, after reflecting the change in distribution policy of Busan Fisheries, the directions of distribution policy should be established, as follows. Distribution policy to prepare for increasing of sales ratio in large discount store

Effects of Temperature and Salinity on Survival and Metabolism of the hard shelled mussel Mytilus coruscus, Bivalve: Mytilidae (홍합, Mytilus coruscus 치패의 생존과 대사에 미치는 수온 및 염분의 영향)

  • Effects of temperature and salinity were investigated on physiological responses of Mytilus coruscus seedlings. Temperature tolerance and survival of M. coruscus, were examined at temperature 20, 25, 28, 30 and 35$^{\circ}C$ for 9 das. Survival of M. coruscus was 90% at temperature 2$0^{\circ}C$ and $25^{\circ}C$. LT$_{50}$ (lethal temperature) of 9 days was at 27.1$^{\circ}C$. The respiration and filtration rates of M. coruscus were increased with temperature up to $25^{\circ}C$, and decreased with temperature ranged from $25^{\circ}C$ to 3$0^{\circ}C$. LS$_{50}$ (lethal salinity, psu) of 9 days at 1$0^{\circ}C$, 15$^{\circ}C$ and $25^{\circ}C$ were 17.01 psu, 19.95 psu and 21.79 psu respectively. Salinity affected survival of M. coruscus with higher temperature. However the respiration and filtration rates were reduced with lower salinity.

Estimating Direct Effects of Economic Benefits on Aquatic Animal Disease Prevention Project in South Korea (수산생물방역사업에 대한 경제적 편익의 직접적 효과분석)

  • The success or failure of aquaculture heavily depends on how effectively to manage aquatic animal diseases. The paper is to estimate the direct effects of economic benefits on aquatic animal disease prevention program using economic surplus analysis. The economic benefits include changes in consumer and producer surplus owing to a reduction effect of aquatic animal mortality and the consumption recovery effect. The annual changes in producer surplus for flounder, rockfish and others cultured is estimated as 2.33 billion won totally (0.87 billion won, 1.01 billion won and 0.45 billion won respectively) and the annual changes in consumer surplus 10.15 billion won totally (6.36 billion won, 1.85 billion won and 1.94 billion won respectively). Therefore, total annual economic benefit is 12.5 billion won.

  • As a virtual identity on the virtual space, Avata is expressed in the various graphic forms such as 2D and 3D. Avata is not just combination of characters, but it also reveals the cultural Avitus of the times or the society, which often represents the discrimination according to the generation or social stratum or the unconscious choice of popular culture The modern days are absolutely influenced by the popular culture. And, it is also the case in the virtual space as well as the real world, influencing the fashion trend, cultural taste, and even the behavioral pattern of individuals. Hereupon, through an analysis of cases of using Avata character graphic, we are going to look into the technical ways of expressing Avata and the overall pop culture trend and individual life pattern and taste which are shown in the choice of outfit, necessaries, and background. And, we will also find out the kitsch characteristics in the consumption of Avata. And, we also expect that the image of Avata would be developing into a positive identity demonstrating one's existence on the virtual space, not simply a meaningless choice and combination of image in expressing and consuming Avata.

  • With increased complexity of product and market, the phenomenon that a consumer get paradoxical attitude toward marketing object has been increased. And this phenomenon eventually affects the relationship between consumer and product. In this study we tried to find more paradoxical phenomenon and understand consumer behavior confronting these situations when they buy agro-product based on ground theory methodology. According to the results, consumer's expectation and purchase experience can promote quality paradox experience during confronting various marketing activities such as price, product, promotion, place. Also these experience can cause quality paradox related interaction and communication even though there could be differences in their experience according to demographic characteristics, personal preference, and risk perception. Consumer will develop multiple strategies against quality paradox to manage the uncomfortable paradox experiences.

  • Recently, the cosmetics industry considers male customers as a consumptive, active customer base who also have purchasing power with their stronger desire for their personal image enhancement. Male-preferred image brands have entered the era of unlimited competition through social media, thus increasing the acquisition of male beauty. Therefore, the information for designing favorable image strategies should be examined. This paper examines male awareness, determined by the degree of appearance management based on four categories (i.e., hair and skin care, makeup, foot and hand care, and plastic surgery). Based on the research, the paper proposes a data service to address the spatial and temporal separation problem between TV CF (the major media for recognizing information) and online $caf{\acute{e}}$/blog the major media for obtaining detailed information.

Analysis of Perceptions and Behaviors Associated with Health Functional Food Use: a cross-sectional survey (건강기능식품에 관한 인식도 및 소비양식의 분석)

  • Background: The use of health functional food (HFF) is increasing and will continue to rise worldwide. Concerns about HFF-drug interactions are increasing as HFF are becoming more widely used. Therefore, awareness of consumers' perceptions and behaviors associated with HFF use may help health care providers improve their communications with patients. Purpose: The aim of this study was to assess the characteristics, perceptions, and behaviors associated with HFF use in South Korea. Method: The online survey was conducted from September 21th to October 7th, 2013. With the aid of Social Network Service (SNS) and google, the questionnaire was posted online on internet website targeting people aged 15 years or older so that self-reported data covering 4 domains were collected from 257 Koreans. Results: A total of 257 people responded the questionnaire. Among them, 81.3% reported experiences of HFF use. Female were more likely than male to use HFFs. There were no differences in demographic characteristics between HFF users and non-users in relation to age, education, and household income. Higher level of education was associated with high-level perception of HFF function (OR 3.9, 95% CI 1.48, 10.1) and a positive relationship was observed between the maximum number of HFFs used concurrently and age of the respondents. Among the HFF users, 42.6% reported concurrent HFF-medication use. However 73.3% of them did not disclose their use to physician or pharmacist and only 30.2% were informed about potential drug-HFF interactions. Pharmacy was most commonly reported as the source from which the respondents were informed about potential interactions. Conclusion: Many people had used HFF and medications concurrently while not being informed about potential HFF-drug interactions. Pharmacists and physicians should be vigilant for risk of the interactions and actively determine whether the patient is using an HFF before prescribing and administrating medications.

  • The demand for food safety has emerged as a major social issue due to changes in diet patterns and consumers' perceptions, along with the advancements in society and the development of the food industry. Consumers are demanding more information about the food they consume, and are sensitive to food scandals. With such interest in food safety, blockchain technology is attracting attention as a means of effectively responding to poor food management resulting in food fraud or unsafe distribution. By ensuring the accuracy of, and trust in, traceability in the food supply chain, it is possible to build trust between traders and to ensure safe food distribution. This paper proposes a next-generation agri-food distribution system that can provide and manage (for suppliers, consumers, and distribution officials) a variety of agri-food information, such as the history, distribution, safety, quality, and freshness of food. Information on product status and distribution status in all processes, including production, processing, distribution, sales, and consumption, can be monitored and controlled in real time (anytime, anywhere), and users can check the safety level of each type of food in real time through an app.

  • In this study, we have looked into the cellular phone consumption behavior of seniors who are 50-65 years old because of the prediction that senior cellular phone market will be expanded. Therefore, we made up a questionnaire which is based on theoretical study about silver consumer and marketing, and we also analyzed main features and differences of senior and active senior after split by lifestyle analysis. Through the analysis result, we found out the practical approaching way for the items that seniors' dissatisfaction was high and inquired whether it's possible turning into interface's direct input system or not. As a result, we discovered the change of a pattern of behavior by the increase of seniors's experience, differences of consumption behavior factors by lifestyle, and the possibility of market value of new interface.

A Study on the pattern of tenant layout in the Urban Entertainment Center (도심 엔터테인먼트 쇼핑센터(UEC)의 테넌트 배치 형태에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the pattern of tenant layout for selected cases of five different Urban Entertainment Center(UEC) in Seoul. This research deals with the process of gaining tenant layout pattern of 40 different types. It is composed of three combination unit with tenants of the same or different consumption mode, which is divided into four different functions of retail, entertainment, dining, and service. Then, every tenant of research cases is classified as one of the fabric type, and the data is analyzed to gain its frequency rate with SPSS 14.0 program. The following is the overall explanation of the result for this research. The frequency of tenant layout pattern between the same consumption mode shows the high rate when compared to the other patterns with different consumption mode. For example, the frequency rate of tenant layout pattern which retail and dining consumption mode are placed side by side like RRR and DDD is high. Interestingly, the frequency rate of RRR type of tenant layout pattern that sells the similar products shows especially high level. It can provide the effective environment for shoppers to compare retail goods in many different stores as producing synergic effects when they are located near each other, so this strategy should be considered when planning tenants in UEC environment. Moreover, in case of dining tenants, when they are clustered together in the UEC environment it can play a role as an anchor tenant. Tenant layout pattern of dining-retail and dining-service consumption mode shows the high frequency rate than other layout pattern with other consumption mode. Besides, entertainment consumption tenants combined with dining or retail tenants show the high frequency rate when compared to the pattern combined with service consumption mode.
