  • Recently, it has been found that it is important to use a smart grid to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions worldwide. A smart grid is a digitally enabled electrical grid that gathers, distributes, and acts on information regarding the behavior of all participants (suppliers and consumers) to improve the efficiency, importance, reliability, economics, and sustainability of electricity services. The smart grid technology uses two-way communication, where users can monitor and limit the electricity consumption of their home appliances in real time. Likewise, power companies can monitor and limit the electricity consumption of home appliances for stabilization of the electricity supply. However, if information regarding the measured electricity consumption of a user is leaked, serious privacy issues may arise, as such information may be used as a source of data mining of the electricity consumption patterns or life cycles of home residents. In this paper, we propose a data transaction protocol for privacy protection in a smart grid. In addition, a power company cannot decrypt an encrypted home appliance ID without the user's password.

Comparison of Learning Effect between Cyber Home Study and Teacher's Lecture in Class - Focusing on the Unit of 'Consumer Life for Youth' in Middle School Technology.Home Economics Subject - (교사의 면대면 수업과 사이버 가정 학습의 학습 효과 비교 - 중학교 기술 가정 교과의 '청소년과 소비 생활' 단원을 중심으로 -)

  • The purposes of this study are to develop cyber home study program on consumer life for youth in middle school students and to compare the learning effect of this program with that of teacher's off-line lecture in class. The contents of the middle school Home Economics. Technology textbooks was analyzed. Based on this analysis 4 cyber home study lesson plans on youth's consumer life were developed. The topics of lesson plan were as 'youth and consumer behavior', 'utilizing consumer information'. 'effective consumer choice', 'resolving consumer problems'. The cyber home study were composed of 5 steps which were 'guiding' $\rightarrow$ 'learning activities' $\rightarrow$ 'evaluation' $\rightarrow$ 'further study' $\rightarrow$ 'summery'. The second grade middle school students as an experimental group participated in cyber home study through on-line class. The control group of students who had same condition with the experimental group were taught by home economics teacher using traditional instructional methods in off-line class. After the experiment, the changes in consumer's attitudes and knowledge of both groups were analyzed using Analysis of Covariance. The significant improvements of consumer's attitudes and knowledge were found in both the experimental and control groups of students. However, the consumer's attitudes and knowledge of the students who were taught by the teacher in off-line class improved more than those of the students who studied using cyber home study program in on-line class. Thus, the following conclusion is made that the cyber home study could be one of the useful learning methods to aid traditional off-line teaching in class.

  • The purpose in this study was to develope the concept maps of sub-units included in 'resource management and environment' area of Home Economics(HE) as an advance organizer after analyzing the overlapped and connected contents between HE textbooks and those of other subject matters(Ethics, Social Studies, Sciences, and Physical Education) taught in the middle schools. The results of this study were as follows. First, the unit of 'resource facilitation and environment' of HE is dealt in Ethics. Specifically the overlapped content in this unit between HE and Ethics is the content of the savings of resources, recycling, and environment conservation. The unit of 'work and time of youth' is dealt in Ethics and Science. The overlapped content of this unit is that of the concept of 'work'. While Ethics focuses on the general concept of work, Science focuses on the scientific concept of work. Home Economics doesn't focus on the concept of work but on how to manage the work. In the unit of the 'adolescents and their consumption', there are many overlapped contents among three subject matters, HE, Ethics and Social Studies. Second, the 7 concept maps were developed by following the steps: (1) confirming the learning objectives presented in the 'resource management and environment' area of HE; (2) identifying the overlapped and connected contents between HE and other subject matters(Eethics, Social Studies, Sciences, and Physical Education); (3) organizing the overlapped and connected contents between HE textbooks and those of other subject matters.

  • Along the era of "Internet of Things (IoT)" in which the physical objects can be connected to the Internet, a smart power management system is proposed in this paper. This system consists of two modules, an electrical outlet device embedding the Wi-Fi capabilities and a web server supporting the management as well as monitoring of power consumptions. Also, with the proposed system, a customer can easily check the status of power consumption and turn on/off the sockets through the developed mobile website. The proposed system is designed to avoid firewall or PC setting problems involving a user's inconvenience.

  • Cultural industry consists of a national own value and life style known as the cultural characteristics, and it has decorative and practical features so it covers necessaries and items of personal preference that the public use. Craft Culture Industry means the craft industry where goods with cultural features of traditional art are made based on specific region and surroundings, which is a series of process in which inherent traditional and cultural elements are produced, representing cultural industry. With the review on issues and solutions in each section of Craft Culture Industry, it would help solve the problem when developing Craft Culture Industry. This study examines the popularity and status of the craft cultural products and figures out the current situation of the domestic cultural industry and the development plan.

  • In the environment of rapid economic growth and industrialization, the development of technology gave convenience and benefit to human life. Meanwhile, natural ecosystem broke down, and consumption of many natural resources and energy brought serious environmental pollution. Not a few countries have tried to protect their environments. Even in Korea, the efforts for the protection of environment has been is progress in the various fields. Also, in the field of product design, which is related to environment and conservation of resources, researches for green product has been promoted. To the people who recognized the environmental problems, the importance of green product has been attended. Green product has been known to a proper solution to the problem of pollution in biological and environmental aspects. Thus it is needed that green product should be developed and used by the people more than plain product. In this perspective, this study examines the current situation of the environmental protection movement in other countries on the pollution, and researhed the development of green products. And based on these researches, the proper design direction for design for green product will be proposed.

Research Trends in Teaching-Learning Methods for Home Economics Education (가정과 교육의 교수.학습 방법에 관한 국내 연구 동향)

  • This study aimed to examine the research trends and to suggest future research directions in teaching-learning methods for Home Economics education, by analyzing articles published in three major academic journals in the field. From each of the research studies, the teaching-learning method, the related content area, and the learning effect measures were quantitatively codified. The data were analyzed using frequency analysis and cross-tabulations. According to the results, the number of teaching-learning method studies steadily increased since 1998 and peaked in 2010 and 2011. The most frequently studied content areas were combinations of more than two content areas, and the most frequently studied teaching-learning method was the Content-Based methods, followed by Practical Thinking/Problem Solving, and IT-Based methods. The most frequently used measures of learning effect were Knowledge/Understanding, Attitudes toward Home Economics subject, General Attitudes/Competencies, and the Attitudes toward the Instructional Method, in the order of frequencies. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the teaching-learning method research and also provide implications to the documentation of Home Economics curriculum for secondary education.

A Case Analysis on Preference of Lighting Design - Focused on Well-being Design - (조명디자인의 기호도에 의한 사례 분석 연구 - 웰빙 디자인을 중심으로 -)

  • As public attention on Well-being culture increases, it is now considered to be a new trend of modern society. The purpose of this study is to publicize the necessity of design products which are advanced in quality and encourage the use of it. The researcher judged that study on design of lighting product to adopt well-being trend is in preliminary level and aims to research on the tendency of well-bing trend and lighting design which the consumer of this age is demanding. As the result of changes in modern consumption trend, design is considered to be a factor of capricious cultural phenomenon. In addition to this, as high technology such as ubiquitous develops with the degitalisation and informatization, the consumer are paying attention to dynamic products rather than static products or products which respond to external stimulus. Products which adopt well-being trend pursuing nature friendly life are particularly preferred It means that not only the basic function of products but also design which satisfy the five sense is required. Modern consumers use products in various way. However, the pro-environmental and human-centered tendency is tried only in very limited area and general study on this matter is extremely rare. This study analyzes the factors which intercepts the adoption of well-being trend to lighting products and seeks for an alternative to solve the problem. Interaction design with well-being trend was adopted to lighting design and the result presented that there is a possibility to differentiate existing lighting design by adding interaction design to the existing lighting design. Therefore, the need for further study on this matter is presented.

냉면소스 제조공정의 표준화를 통한 품질향상 연구

  • 최근 소득수준의 향상과 여성의 사회진출로 인해 우리의 식생활도 많은 부분이 사회화되고 있다. 즉 완전조리식품과 반조리식품이 급격히 증가하고 있다. 기존의 인스탄트식품이 저가격, 반건강 특성으로 생각되어진 반면 최근 고가의 건강 지향적인 반조리식품으로 변화하고 있다. 이러한 경향은 식품가공기술 및 식품포장기술의 향상과 사회적요구에 부합된 결과로 사료된다. 이에 대표적인 경우가 다양한 소스류의 상품화 경향이다. 본 연구개발 사업에서 이루어지는 냉면소스도 가정에서 하기에는 번거롭고, 건강지향적 식생활로 메밀의 수효가 증가하여 냉면의 소비가 증가하리라 생각된다. 현재 시판되고 있는 기존의 몇몇의 제품들이 있기는 하나 제조공정, 보존상태 등에서 많은 문제점이 있다. 따라서 문헌 통하여 기존제품의 배합비를 조사하고, 냉면소스 배합비의 최적화를 위해 10여차례에 걸쳐 20종류의 소스에 대하여 배합비의 변화와 관능검사에 의해 배주스, 양파, 겨자, 마늘, 설탕, 물엿, 소금, 미원, 참기름, 고춧가루, 진간장, 생강즙, 식초, 파인애플로 구성된 소스를 개발하였다. 개발된 소스의 pH, 당도, 염도, 색차를 측정하여 관능검사의 결과와 비교 검토하였고, 식품재료의 차이에 의한 맛의 변화를 보정하기 위한 근거로 사용하였다. 저장성 검사를 위해 일반세균과 대장균을 검사하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 소비자들의 기호에 맞는 냉면소스를 개발하기 위해 다양한 식품의 배합을 시도하여 상품성이 있을 것으로 판단되는 recipe를 완성하였고, 일반인(주부)들을 상대로 한 호감도 조사에서도 좋은 성적을 나타내었다. 시료를 1주간격으로 한달간 실험한 결과 쇠고기가 들어 있는 제품을 제외하구 대장균은 검출되지 않았으며 일반세균은 위생법의 허용치내에 있었다. 쇠고기가 있는 제품은 가격상승과 저장성에 문제가 있어 이를 제하고 최종적인 레시피를 결정하였다.있었다. 그러나 식이 섭취상태와의 관련성은 나타나지 않았다. 이상에서 생활습관이 신체계측치 및 혈중 지질 농도와 일부 상관을 보이는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 건강위험 요인도 관찰할 수 있었다. 고지혈증은 심혈관계질환의 주요한 위험 인자로 알려져 있으며, 그 유발 요인에는 여러 환경적인 요인과 식이 요인이 있다. 또한 생활습관은 영양소의 섭취량에도 영향을준다. 이처럼 식이 요인과 생활습관은 단독 혹은 상호 영향을 주게 되므로 고지혈증 및 심혈관계질환을 개선하려면 식사요법과 생활습관 교정을 병행하여야 한다. 고지혈증의 원인 중의 하나로 지적되고 있는 음주와 흡연은 상호 유도작용이 있으므로 금연이나 절주를 하고자 할 경우 두가지를 동시에 자제해야 효과적일 것으로 생각된다. 폐경후 여성들에게 발생 빈도가 높은 심혈관질환의 위험요인인 고지혈증을 예방하고자 하는 노력은 폐경후 여성들의 삶의 질적 향상을 위해서도 매우 중요하다. 또한 균형식 섭취와 운동을 통해 혈중 지질 수준을 건강하게 유지하고, 비만으로의 이행을 방지함으로써 심혈관계질환을 예방하도록 하여야겠다.료보다 절반이하 수준이었다. Ferric citrate는 차이가 거의 없었으며 ferrous lactate는 70%수준이었다. 이상의 결과에서 철분강화우유에 사용하기 적합한 철분염은 ferrous lactate, ferric citrate였는데 특히 ferrous lactate는 제품의 이화학적 품질, 생이용성 측면 모두에서 가장 좋은 것으로 나타났다.다 높았으며, 1회당 평균 8.1$\pm$5.1개의 난포란을 회수하였다. investigation can be separated into sampling and analytical uncertainties, it can be used as a criterion where the resources for the inves

The differences in adolescents' decision making abilities according to the level of critical thinking in terms of practical problem-based instruction of Home Economics (실천적 문제중심 가정과 수업에서 청소년들의 비판적 사고력 수준에 따른 의사결정 능력의 차이)

  • The Purpose of this study was to find out whether there was any difference in adolescents' decision making abilities according to the level of critical thinking in practical problem-based instruction of Home Economics. The subjects of this study ware 147 students from K girl's high school in Daegu. They were divided into two groups. The former was the experimental group, which took' practical problem-based instruction' of Home Economics. The later was the control group, which took the typical lecture-based instruction. Factor analysis, Cronbach ${\alpha}$, correlation, and two-way ANCOVA were Performed for data analysis. The results of this study are as follows: First, there was no significant difference in the steps of problem identification and information search of the decision making according to teaching methods and the level of the critical thinking ability. Second, the adolescents who took the practical problem-based instruction had shown more improvement in the steps of alternatives consideration and value of the decision making ability than those who took the typical instruction. Third, the adolescents with the high level of critical thinking ability have made much more improvement than those with the low. And it was found that in the case of adolescents with the low level of critical thinking ability, those who took the practical problem-based instruction have made much more improvement than the others who took the typical instruction. On the other hand, in the case of adolescents with the high level of critical thinking ability, those who took the typical instruction improved much more than the others who took the practical problem-based instruction.
