This study was performed to propose measures to improve and secure safety in the scene activities of firefighters. First, the majority of firefighters thought that working environment and equipment in fire station were inadequate for perforeming work tasks safely. Second, influential factors threatening safe scene activities mainly arose externally such as insecure working conditions of firefighting or emergency scene. Third, improvement in working environments was pointed out as the most urgent issue to secure safety. Firefighters recognized the expansion of field workforce in system, personnel management and the foundation of hospitals for firefighters hospital in working environment, and the development and distribution of safe equipment and change and inspection of air respirator facepiece on regular basis in equipment as urgent issues to be improved.

최근 우리 사회는 다양한 환경변화와 산업화 및 경제발전이라는 미명하에 그간 쉽게 생각한 것들이 이제는 새로운 사회의 문제로 이슈화 되고 있다. 그중 상가 밀집지역 및 주택가 등의 화재로 인한 피해가 가중되고 있으며 이러한 화재의 초기 대응이 원활하지 못할시 피해는 가중되어 상상을 초월하며 이러한 다양한 화재 예방 및 대응을 위한 이동형 수막설비와 모바일 소방장비의 도입이 좁은 통로길 화재예방 및 피해 저감을 위한 길이라 모색되어 연구를 하고자 한다.

When a fire breaks out in a high-rise building, the firefighters must swiftly arrive at fire area with his equipments ready and use the emergency elevator for a more effective operation. In spite of the legal regulations about the emergency elevator, the ones currently installed show various problems and require improvements related to the fire fighting. This research work in to review the regulations on emergency elevator in Korea and other nations, and to conduct a questionnaire survey on the operation of emergency elevators to the fire officer, and finally to provide new standard and operation methods.

In the various disaster scene effective protective equipment and suppression measures of crisis response cases that is closed all in Korea. Due to asbestos exposure by wearing protective equipment, as well as thoroughly strengthen firefighting, recognize the seriousness of the hazard factors in the fire activity, and established legal system for disease compensation and supplemented by institutional for diseases not yet recognized by officially recognized disaster, fire officials to improve morale and working conditions can be expected to improve major public service.

The cattle shelters have been badly damaged by the recently large fires. so the reconstruction of the damaged shelter is very difficult. In the light of the seriousness of the fire like that, the preventive plan for the cattle shed should be thoroughly established. The preventive measure which the fire department performs presently is limited to the stopping the fire before it starts. More than anything else, The men who operate and manage the cattle shelters must know what to do. The written plan will assist them. To begin with, The fire authority should clearly specify how cattle should be protected from any outbreak of fire. Clear access to each fire shed is very important to protect the cattle safely. The manager of the cattle shelter should get ready for the fire defense equipment. Most fires of the cattle shelters are due to electricity faults. These renovations should be performed and checked immediately. Therefore, The manager should be ready assist fire chief or the professional organization to prevent the electricity fire. Fire Safety education should be planned for the owner and staff so all should know what is expected in case of a fire. The Fire Department will check the access road, the equipment available and an announced fire drills should take place every year in the cattle shelter. The Fire Department should check the access road, equipment for preventing fires and staff training each year.

소방 장비의 개선은 구조 활동의 효율성을 높여서 인명 구조율을 높일 수 있다. 또한 고온에 노출되는 시간, 사고 위험에 노출되는 시간을 줄이기 때문에 소방관의 사망 확률도 줄일 수 있다. 그래서 기존 장비의 열악했던 사항들을 개선한 디바이스를 개발했다. 화재 현장에서 인명 구조 시 소방관이 연기속에서의 시야 확보, 원활한 무전 통신, 각 대원들의 위치 파악과 실시간 산소통 잔량 확인 기능을 갖춘 장치를 개발했다. 이에 따라 구조작업의 효율성이 크게 증대 될 것이다.
