The purpose of this study was to investigate the prevalence of dental caries, periodontal status, and self-perceived oral health status of students in juvenile protection education institutions. The subjects of this study were 342 adolescents aged 13-20 years detained in two juvenile protection education institutions located in Gyeonggi Province. The study involved an oral examination to record decayed, missing, filled teeth and index teeth with bleeding, calculus, or periodontal pocket, combined with a questionnaire to investigate self-perceived oral health status. The main findings are as follows. 1. When compared with the result of National oral health survey, the students detained had more decayed teeth, DMFT, and teeth with bleeding, calculus, and shallow pocket than general population of the same age. 2. Female students showed more DMFT, more teeth with healthy periodontium, and fewer teeth with shallow pocket than male students (p<0.05). 3. Female students perceived their health to be poorer than male students (p<0.05). A majority(79.2%) of detainee valued their oral health in their life. 4. A majority(71.5%) of detainee reported their dental anxiety, and more female adolescents showed dental anxiety than male adolescents(p<0.05).

The enlightenment project raised in both Korea and China during the modern period worked as a part of the patriotic enlightenment movement against the imperial powers. Among them, "boy" appeared as the subject of enlightenment, and "sea" appeared as a medium. Specifically, through "Boy Discourse," Liang Qi Chao ultimately envisioned a nation for "subjects", and Choi Nam-seon also seeked to overcome the national crisis as "New Korea" and join the ranks of powerful nations. Liang Qiqiao proposes the concept of a "Boy Nation" and an "Old Nation" through boy discourse, and wishing for the development of the "Boy Nation" through "proficiency training". Choi Nam-seon also recognized that the future of the nation depends on "boys", influenced by Liang Qi-qiao's discourse on boys, and argues that Choseon should cultivate skills to become a "Boy Nation". In addition, Liang Qi-chao and Choi Nam-seon actively spread the "boy discourse" through the creation of poetry. Liang Qi Chao introduced the world's geography and history through poetries related to the sea, while at the same time inspiring a sense of challenge to recognize and pioneer the sea as a pathway that connects the world in a broad sense. Namseon Choi also created a poem that directly linked "the sea" and the "boy" to promote the "adventure at sea" and "the progressive spirit of the sea and the boy".

The Purpose of this study is to explore the personality dispositions of crime Youth. Subjects in this Study are 148(High School Students) and 150(Juvenile Reformatory). Instrument used in this study is Korean-Version Eysenck Personality Questionnaires standardized by Hyun-Soo Lee(2004) and were administered to two groups respectively. Procedures for processing data were used t-test and sought the statistical differences between two groups.

The purpose of this study is to develop a personality education tea culture therapy program to effectively improve juvenile delinquency prevention and social adaptation. In order to verify the effectiveness of the tea culture therapy program through social intervention, we analyzed whether there were significant differences in the scores of social characteristics such as self-efficacy, self-control, and interpersonal relationships of juvenile detention students before and after participating in the program. Ten juvenile detention students between the ages of 14 and 17 who were accommodated to a juvenile detention center in B city were selected as the experimental group for the study. The tea culture therapy program was conducted 10 times as a social intervention personality education for juvenile delinquents, and as a result, self-efficacy was found to have a pre-mean of 2.37 (SD 0.33) and a post-mean of 2.49 (SD 0.31), showing a significant difference (Z=-5.874. P=.000), self-control showed a significant difference with the pre-mean 2.06 (SD 0.20) and the post-mean of 2.16 (SD 0.19) (Z=-4.743, P=.001). The interpersonal relationship was found to have a significant difference, with a pre-mean of 1.90 (SD 0.32) and a post-mean of 2.15 (SD 0.21) (Z=-5.892, P=.000). The above results show that this program has a significant effect on improving social characteristics such as self-efficacy, self-control, and interpersonal relationships among juvenile detention students. Therefore, the tea culture therapy program developed in this study for personality education for juveniles can be used as a personality education program for various types of adolescents as well as in the field of correctional welfare in the future.
