The Influence of Grateful Note-taking in University Students upon Grateful Disposition and Happiness (대학생의 감사노트 작성이 감사성향과 행복감에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to closely examine a positive effect of grateful note-taking on grateful disposition and happiness in undergraduates and to inquire into a significance of experiencing the grateful note-taking. For the study, the pre·post tests were carried out in relation to grateful disposition and happiness targeting 131 undergraduates at K university where is located in G city. Also, for the qualitative research, data were collected through mind-class students' grateful notes, grateful-note reviews and in-depth questionnaires, and through the researcher's daily record of observation. As a result of the research, the grateful disposition and happiness showed a significant difference by group according to whether or not writing a grateful note. In other words, compared to the comparative group, the experimental group with the experience of grateful note-taking was indicated to be higher in grateful disposition and happiness. Meanwhile, a significance of experiencing the grateful note-taking appeared to be a positive thought, thankful habit, reflective time, and happiness discovery. These findings can be considered to offer an implication in terms of all variables that have an effect on grateful disposition and happiness in university students, and to show the necessity of expanding a grateful note-taking program.

The Effects and Process of the Politics Instruction Utilizing an Online Game, 'Goonzu' (온라인게임 '군주'를 활용한 초등학교 정치수업 수행 및 효과)

  • The politics instruction, where utilizing an online game named 'Goonzu' as an instructional tool had been implemented to students from four classes of 5th grade during ten weeks. Four teachers participated in teaching the students and constructed curriculum by playing 'Goonzu' and analyzing the regular elemental school Politics curriculum before implementation. To verify effectiveness of the instruction, the survey, asking students' efficacy, interest and their cognitive changes of main elements that students considered when they elected their representatives, was conducted. Moreover opinions about this instruction from the students and the teachers were gathered through the forms of interview and short essay. As the results of this research, students' efficacy toward doing politic activities was significantly increased. However, m case of students' interests to this instruction, there was no significant difference despite of increase of the mean. Also, students put more weight on intrinsic e1ements(daigency, responsibility) of the representative in online election than offline election and the students, who took the course, stressed intrinsic elements more than other students.

Effects of Personality Education Program for University Students (대학생을 위한 인성교육 프로그램 효과)

  • The purposed of this study was to evaluate the effects of psycho-social maturity personality improvement program for university students. This program based on the book written by Lee et al.(2010) to improve the personality for university student was used. The program consisted of a total of 13 session and every session consisted of a 50 minutes lecture and 100minutes activity program. The researcher carried out the pre-test, post test and follow up test regarding psycho-social maturity and conducted Mann-Whitney U test and the ancova. The results showed who had participated in counseling groups reported significant improvement of psycho-social maturity total scores and sub scores, while the control group did not report any significant improvements. After 10 weeks follow-up point, these changes experienced by the experiment group on the improvement of the psycho-social maturity. Finally the personality program helped improve the psycho-social maturity.

  • Computer education is important to learn functions of computers, and it is necessary to enhance the ability such as high-power intelligence ability, originality, and positive thoughts on the future. In other words, not only is it important to learn functions to calculate using computers but also it is important to understand the principle of the way computers calculate and enlarge other abilities to solve other problems through understanding of the principle. Accordingly, this study aims to teach search and sort of data structure to a primary-school children. In addition its purpose is to design teaching and learning methods and teach according to the methods and find out whether primary-school children can understand the contents. Intelligent field was assessed through equivalent test before and after the test and emotional field through students' impressions after a lesson. The test showed that search and sort algorithm of data structure could be taught to children. That is, it presented the learnability of search and sort of data structure as a learning element of elementary school computer education.

Effects of Eco-STEAM Program on Elementary School Students' Environmental Literacy and STEAM Attitude (과학과 Eco-STEAM 수업이 초등학생들의 환경소양과 STEAM 태도에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of Environmental literacy and STEAM Attitude through the use of the Eco-STEAM program for elementary students. For the purpose of this study, a teaching plan and worksheet for students using Eco-STEAM Programs was developed and applied. Through the questionnaires and the analysis of students' outcomes, the effects on Environmental literacy and STEAM Attitude in both quality and quantity were verified. The results of this study are as follows: First, the improvement in the Environmental Literary score has statistically meaningful difference(p<.05). Second, the change in students' STEAM attitude by applying the Eco-STEAM program has statistically meaningful difference (p<.05). Third, according to the analysis of a questionnaire used to evaluate the program, students had a positive perception of the STEAM program and gained higher level of satisfaction about the lesson. Therefore, Eco-STEAM Program applied in this study might be useful to improve Environmental Literacy, and can be expected to improve STEAM literacy and should be widely applied to Science education.

  • In the revision of the national curriculum, various creative activities and career activities are highlighted under the goal of fostering creative talent. Following the implementation of this policy, which is represented by creative activities, teachers are burdened with comprehensive responsibilities, such as planning and executing safety procedures and preventing accidents. Existing systems for teacher management had limitations that allowed only the provision of standardized information and management. The main purpose of this study is to help teachers manage their classes systematically through a class management system. The teachers' overall management system includes several functions, such as checking students' locations, registering students' reviews, or registering various kinds of activities for the creative experiential activities of the curriculum. This system not only helps teachers to systematically manage the creative experiential activities, but also allows teachers to share the history of their activities with each other. Furthermore, this system will be helpful in achieving the objectives of the revised curriculum.

The Effects of Computational Thinking-based Instruction Integrating of Mathematics Learning and Assessment on Metacognition and Mathematical Academic Achievements of Elementary School Students (학습과 평가를 통합한 컴퓨팅 사고력 기반의 수업이 초등학생의 메타인지와 수학학업성취도에 미치는 영향)

  • The 2015 revised mathematics curriculum specified software education as a mandatory curriculum amid a trend in which the software environment was extended to daily life due to the fourth industrial revolution. It also calls for a paradigm shift in lessons that incorporate learning and evaluation by specifying a process-oriented assessment. This study focused on addition and subtraction classes based on computational thinking skills that integrate mathematics learning and evaluation. Two fourth grade classes of elementary schools in Seoul were selected to conduct a pre- and post- test of metacognition and mathematics achievement through quantitative research. Also, a mixed study was conducted to analyze students' activities and opinions in parallel. The results of the study confirmed that the computational thinking-based classes, which incorporate mathematics learning and evaluation, had a positive effect on the metacognition of elementary school students and the improvement of their achievement scores. In addition to those identified in this study, further studies on other factors are proposed.

A Comparative Study on Various Student-Centered Curriculum's Teaching Experiences Focusing on Physical Education (다양한 학생 선택형 교육과정의 체육 교과 지도 경험 비교)

  • The purpose of this study was to suggest qualitative improvement through various student-centered curriculum's teaching experiences focusing on physical education. For this, class diaries, memos, lesson plans, student reviews, and videos for the past four years (2017-2020) were collected and analyzed from four high schools in kyonggi-do, and six students were interviewed. The common features between each student-centered curriculum were to have many students with the purpose of entrance examination and with concern about time conflicts between class and their dinner. In contrast, the differences between each student-centered curriculum were the required level of writing lesson plan, the level of interest and role of a class supervisor, and educational expected effect of students under a given condition. In summary, pre-education experience should be required and class activity support and various evaluation methods should be also needed.

  • This study is focusing on teenagers who are needed a correction program called "Gillwe School". This program has a companion who is called a guide and the guide leads them correction program while walking with teenagers. This report has represented 131 semantic units, 7 sub-constituencies and 4components through analysis of 46 cases of the companion participants stories since 2014 and clearly, defined as the final four regions ("Understanding of protection youth", "Positive change of companion's gaze", "Doubts the walking program", "Program's effectiveness and Companion's importance,".) Through a series of studies, I look forward to finding ways to develop programs for the protection of juvenile correctional professionals, such as trarining professional counselors for protection youth, duration and number of correction programs, and expanding the number of participants.

Development and Effect of Math-Tour to improve Mathematics Study Attitude (수학 학습에 대한 긍정적 태도 신장을 위한 매쓰투어(Math-Tour) 개발 및 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to prove the effect of Mathematics field experience trip program on students' attitude in learning Mathematics. For this we developed Jejumok-Gwanna Math-Tour program in 2019 for students which would make them to walk and experience mathematics in the field. In that program, we suggested several Mathematics examples about natural objects and artifacts in Jejumok-Gwanna. After that, we let A middle school students within Jeju to experience this program in order to see the effect of this program. We asked participants to write pre- and past- questionnaire, have an interview, and write review. After analyzing those, this study concluded that the effect of Jejumok-Gwanna Math-Tour on student's attitude in learning mathematics was statically significant. The result of this study suggested that Mathematics Field Experience Study Program could be useful to improve student's attitude in learning mathematics.
