Packet Classification Using Two-Dimensional Binary Search on Length (길이에 대한 2차원 이진검색을 이용한 패킷분류 구조)

  • The rapid growth of the Internet has stimulated the development of various new applications and services, and the service providers and the Internet users now require different levels of service qualities rather than current best-effort service which treats all incoming packet equally. Therefore, next generation routers should provide the various levels of services. In order to provide the quality of services, incoming packets should be classified into flows according to pre-defined rules, and this should be performed for all incoming packets in wire-speed. Packet classification not only involves multi-dimensional search but also finds the highest priority rule among all matching rules. Area-based quad-trie is a very good algorithm that constructs a two-dimensional trie using source and destination prefix fields. However, it performs the linear search for the prefix length, and hence it does not show very good search performance. In this paper, we propose to apply binary search on length to the area-based quad-trie algorithm. In improving the search performance, we also propose two new algorithms considering the priority of rules in building the trie.

XML-based Retrieval System for SCORM-based Virtual Learning Contents (SCORM 기반의 XML 학습 컨텐츠 검색 시스템)

  • XML(eXtensible Markup Language), next generation internet standard language has the advantage of easy re-use and re-structure in other computing environment because it has the separate data, presentation and structure. In this paper, we implement the efficient retrieval system for the general user by limiting the XML documents on the multimedia learning contents for the virtual education system. The system design is based on SCO Metadata unit defined in SCORM as the proposed virtual education standard. Each XML documents has three indexes - keyword, element and attribute. Also, it makes possible to retrieve data without previous knowledge of the DTD by making the element retrieval screen structure for the user interface. And it gives the user various result screen formats such as XML and HTML by restructuring the retrieval result through XML-QL and XSL, respectively.

  • The Bluetooth is expected to be one of the most popular wireless telecommunication technology in the near future, and the protocol stack is essential to providing the various services with the Bluetooth-embedding systems or devices. The Bluetooth specification is an open, global specification defining the complete system, however, the protocol stack is usually implemented partly in hardware and partly as software running on its system, with different implementations partitioning the functionality between hardware and software in different ways. I investigate how to design and implement the Bluetooth protocol stack according to its specification. I focus on the HCI and the lower layer of the software protocol stack as a basic step for the development of our own protocol stack. As a result, paper provides how to partitioning the role of HCI layer, and how to implement the relationship between HCI packets, it's functionality and the flow control. Experiments show the discovering other Bluetooth devices and their connection. Furthermore experiments demonstrate the proper operation of data communication between the Bluetooth modules.

  • A Next Generation Network (NGN) is a packet-based network able to provide services including Telecommunication Services and able to make use of multiple broadband, QoS-enabled transport technologies and in which service-related functions are independent from underlying transport-related technologies. It offers unrestricted access by users to different service providers. It supports generalized mobility which will allow consistent and ubiquitous provision of services to users in this paper. we describe the trend of standardization activity related with open services environment capabilities which had been finally approved at September 2008 in ITU-T. ITU-T SG13 is responsible for studies relating to the architecture, evolution and convergence of next generation networks including frameworks and functional architectures, signalling requirements for NGN.

  • Mobile IP (MIP) and SIP are considered as important technologies to provide the macro mobility in the next generation mobile convergence networks which have heterogeneous access networks. Typically, MIP and SIP are more suitable for the non-real-time TCP connections and the real-time RTP/UDP sessions respectively, hence a handset which uses both of these sessions should simultaneously apply MIP and SIP to perform the efficient mobility management. Existing multi-layered mobility management schemes focus on the signalling order of each protocol. However, simple combining of two protocols cannot provide the performance enhancement of the mobility management. In this paper, a novel multi-layered mobility management algorithm using the combination of SIP and fast MIPv6 (FMIPv6) is proposed. FMIPv6 and SIP mobility is simultaneously performed to reduce the service interrupt time and to guarantee QoS requirement. The delay model is defined to analysis the performance of the algorithm and the simulation results show the performance of the proposed algorithm.

Vision-Based High Accuracy Vehicle Positioning Technology (비전 기반 고정밀 차량 측위 기술)

  • Today, technique for precisely positioning vehicles is very important in C-ITS(Cooperative Intelligent Transport System), Self-Driving Car and other information technology relating to transportation. Though the most popular technology for vehicle positioning is the GPS, its accuracy is not reliable because of large delay caused by multipath effect, which is very bad for realtime traffic application. Therefore, in this paper, we proposed the Vision-Based High Accuracy Vehicle Positioning Technology. At the first step of proposed algorithm, the ROI is set up for road area and the vehicles detection. Then, center and four corners points of found vehicles on the road are determined. Lastly, these points are converted into aerial view map using homography matrix. By analyzing performance of algorithm, we find out that this technique has high accuracy with average error of result is less than about 20cm and the maximum value is not exceed 44.72cm. In addition, it is confirmed that the process of this algorithm is fast enough for real-time positioning at the $22-25_{FPS}$.

  • This paper compares the performance of wireless communication technologies to replace the wired networks by wireless networks on avionics intra-communication. Due to the drawbacks of wired network, such as complexity, weight, maintenance cost and scalability, it leads to the high data rate and network traffic demands of avionics systems. Therefore, in WAIC(Wireless Avionics Intra-Communications) system suggested by ITU(International Telecommunication Union), based on environment of avionics system and requirements of a wired network, wireless network structures are defined to solve the problems of wired networks. In this paper, we consider features, advantages and disadvantages of wireless communication technologies which can be used for wireless avionics network, and we propose suitable wireless communication technology candidates for wireless avionics networks in WAIC environments.

  • 현재 투명전극은 주로 ITO를 사용하고 있으며, ITO는 인듐산화물(In2O3)과 주석산화물(SnO2)이 9대 1의 비율로 혼합된 화합물로 인듐이 주성분이다. 따라서 ITO 사용량의 증가는 인듐의 수요 증가를 이끌어 2003년 이후 인듐 잉곳의 가격이 급등하였다. LCD에 응용되는 금속재료의 가격추이를 비교해보면, 인듐이 가장 큰 변화를 보이고 있으며, 2005년 인듐 가격은 2002년 대비 1,000% 이상 상승하였다가 2007년 이후 500%p 하락하여 2008년 2월 22일 기준으로 톤당 49만 달러에 거래되고 있다. 같은 기간 동안 알루미늄의 가격은 76.6% 상승하였으며 구리는 394%, 주석은 331% 상승하였다. 이러한 인듐의 가격 상승폭은 동일한 기간 동안 다른 금속 재료와 비해 매우 크며, 단위 질량당 가격도 20배 이상 높은 수준이다. ITO의 주성분인 인듐의 이러한 가격의 급등 및 향후 인듐의 Shortage 예상으로 인해 ITO 대체재 확보의 필요성이 증가되고 있다. 태양광 발전산업에서 현재 주류인 결정질 실리콘 태양전지의 변환효율은 꾸준히 향상되고 있으나, 태양전지의 가격이 매년 서서히 하강되고 있는 실정에서 결정질 실리콘 가격의 상승 등으로 고부가 가치 산업유지에 어려움이 있으며, 생산 원가를 낮출 수 있는 태양전지 제조기술로는 2세대 태양전지로 불리는 박막형이 현재의 대안으로 자리매김하고 있으며, 박막태양전지 산업분야가 현재의 정부정책 지원 없이 자생력을 갖추고 또한 시장 경쟁력을 확보하기 위해서는 박막태양전지 개발과 더불어 저가의 재료개발도 시급한 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 In-line magnetron sputtering system을 사용하여 소다라임 유리기판 위에 박막태양전지용 투명전도성 ZnO(Al) 박막을 제작하였고, 특히 이 박막은 n-형 반도체 특성을 가져야하기 때문에 홀이동도와 개리어농도의 상관관계 및 박막의 두께, 광투과율 특성, 온도 의존성을 조사하였고, 이를 논하고자 한다. (본 연구는 중소기업청의 기술혁신개발사업 연구지원금으로 이루어졌음).

Numerical Study on Two-phase Natural Circulation Flow by External Reactor Vessel Cooling of iPOWER (혁신형 안전경수로의 원자로용기 외벽냉각 시 2상 자연순환 유동에 대한 수치해석적 연구)

  • The domestic innovative power reactor named iPOWER will employ the passive molten corium cooling system(PMCCS) to cool down and stabilize the core melt in the severe accident. The final design concept of the PMCCS is yet to be determined, but the in-vessel retention through external reactor vessel cooling has been also considered as a viable strategy to cope with the severe accident. In this study, the two-phase natural circulation flow established between the reactor vessel and the insulation was simulated using a thermal-hydraulic system code, MARS-KS. The flow path of cooling water was modeled with one-dimensional nodes, and the boundary condition of the heat load from the molten core was defined to estimate the naturally-driven flow rate. The evolution of major thermal-hydraulic parameters were also evaluated, including the temperature and the level of cooling water, the void fraction around the lower head of the reactor vessel, and the heat transfer mode on its external surface.
