In order to effectively communicate the fragrances of commercial perfumes to consumers, it is important to apply congruent colors to their bottles and packaging. This research investigated the cross-modal associations between colors and fragrances through two experiments. In the first experiment, bottle colors of more than 200 popular perfumes in the market were analyzed. Distinguishable color design patterns of the bottles were revealed in accordance with their fragrance types. The second experiment expanded the use of color-odor matching task to a test population of Korean participants. Participants selected colors evoked by fragrances of three test perfumes in a blind setting. These three perfumes had characteristic hues and their associated hues were similar with the real colors of their bottles. In addition, there were significant variations in color tone across fragrance notes, viz. the top notes, middle notes, and base notes. The results of the two experiments suggest the existence of robust cross-modal associations between particular colors and fragrances in commercial perfumery.

백색 유기발광소자는 전색 디스플레이나 조명용 광원으로 쓰일 수 있기 때문에 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 백색 유기발광소자를 제작하기 위해서는 보통 청색, 녹색 및 적색을 가지는 발광층을 적층하거나 세 가지 색을 가지는 혼합하여 단일 발광층으로 제작할 수 있으나 구조가 복잡해지고 제작이 어려워지는 단점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 sol-gel 방법으로 제작된 무기물 형광체를 색변환 층으로 사용하였고, 청색 유기발광소자를 광원으로 하여 백색 유기발광소자를 제작하였다. 청색 유기 물질을 발광층으로 사용하여 제작한 청색 유기발광소자를 광원으로 사용하였고 다른 온도에서 소결된 무기물 형광체를 색변환층으로 사용하여 백색 유기발광소자를 제작하여 발광 특성을 관찰하였다. 다른 소결 온도에서 형성된 무기물 형광체의 주사 전자현미경 측정과 X-선 회절 층정을 통해서 무기물 형광체의 형성 및 표면 형태를 관찰하였다. 제작한 무기 형광체를 색변환층으로 사용하여 백색 유기발광소자를 제작하였고, 인가한 전압에 따른 전계발광 특성 변화를 통해서 색변환 메커니즘을 규명하였다.

이 연구의 목적은 시각의 유도운동을 기반으로 하는 새로운 현기증 진단 방법을 제시하는데 있다. 시각의 유도운동은 주위환경이 움직임에 따라 고정된 물체도 움직이는 것처럼 느끼는 현상이다. 실험은 방음실에서 수행되었으며, 전체적인 시스템은 PC, 조이스틱, 프로젝터 그리고 스크린으로 구성되어졌다. 현기증의 크기를 정량적으로 측정하기 위하여 세 가지의 다른 주수온도(1$0^{\circ}C$, 2$0^{\circ}C$,3$0^{\circ}C$)를 사용하는 온도자극법에 의해 현기증이 유도되어졌다. 또한, 색의 변화에 의하여 유발되어지는 COP(center of pressure)의 변동을 찾기 위해 여섯 가지색이 유도운동에 사용되어졌다. 그 결과, 유도운동이 현기증과 높은 연관성이 있다는 것과 색의 변화가 인체의 균형에 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그렇지만, 색 자체의 변화보다는 집중도와 선명도가 뛰어난 색의 조합으로 구성된 유도운동 시스템이 필요하다는 것도 알 수 있었다. 결론적으로 시각의 유도운동이 현기증의 정량적인 측정에 유용함을 알 수 있었고 이 연구가 현기증 진단 시스템의 개발에 확장되어 쓰여질 수 있을 것이다.

사람마다 다 색깔이 있다. 물론 좋아하는 색깔도 가지각색이다. 특히 유아시기(만2세이상∼만5세이하)는 다른 시기의 유아들 보다 색에 대한 관심이 특별하다. 즉, 어떤 물체를 형태보다는 색채에 의하여 동일 물체로 인정하려 하여 자신이 좋아하는 색채에 대해서 민감한 반응을 보이게 된다. (중략)

We purpose to evaluate the fatigue of the error correcting task on monitoring with color temperature 2700 K, 4000 K and 6500 K. Results of questionnaire on subjective feeling of visual fatigue, mental fatigue and concentration. Visual fatigue and mental fatigue level were the lowest, concentration level was the highest and working performance was the best at 2700 K. At 6500 K, mental fatigue level was the highest and concentration level is the lowest. At 4000 K, visual fatigue level was the highest and working performance shown the worst ratio of correcting answers. As results, color temperature 2700 K is the best condition of color temperature to perform the error correcting task on monitoring.

본 연구에서는 점차 사용이 증가하고 있는 GUI 환경의 작업에서, 인간의 감 성인석을 색에 적용하고 이에 대한 수행도를 분석하고자 하였다. 실험은 우선 텍스트만 있는 윈도우와 색이 있는 윈도우와의 검색 시간을 비교하였다. 그리 고 색의 세 가지 속성인 색상, 채도, 명도와 검색 시간과의 관계를 알아보기 위해 색상, 채도, 명도, 거리를 독립변수로 하고 검색 시간을 종속변수로 하여 실험을 하였다. 그리고 색에 대한 인간의 감성 인식을 알아보고, 감성 인식을 고려한 색의 실질적인 수행도에 대해서도 분석하였다. 통계분석 결과, 색이 있는 환경에서의 검색 시간은 악 50.31% 향상되었으며, 색상과 채도의 수준 차이는 검색 시간에 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 색상의 경우는 녹색,적색 순 으로 검색 시간이 좋았으며, 채도의 경우는 회색이 적게 포함된 경우 검색 시간이 향상되었다. 그리고 감성을 고려한 색도 검색 시간이 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 여러 산업환경과 디자인 측면에 인간의 감성을 고려하 고 적용하는데 있어, 실질적인 수행도를 향상시키는 감성구현 방법과 이에 대 한 검증을 제시하고자 한다.

최근 이동체 또는 센서 데이터에 대한 연속 질의를 처리하기 위해 다양한 질의 색인 기법들이 연구되고 있다. 그러나 RFID 미들웨어는 이전 연구에서 고려되지 않은 특징이 존재한다. 첫째, 질의 색인에 삽입되는 질의는 Industry, Product, Serial의 세 부분으로 구성되며, 각 값은 범위 값으로 표현될 수 있기 때문에 색인 공간에서 비연속적인 간격의 조각들이 반복해서 나타난다. 둘째, TagID가 가지는 Industry, Product, Serial의 값은 포함관계를 가진다. 즉, 하나의 Industry에 여러 Product가 존재하며, 하나의 Product에 여러 Serial Item이 존재한다. 따라서 이러한 특징을 고려하지 못하는 기존의 질의 색인을 적용하면 다수의 질의 조각을 삽입하게 되어 색인의 성능이 급격히 저하되는 문제점이 있다. 이 논문에서는 RFID 미들웨어의 실시간 필터링 및 컬렉션을 위해서 Tag 스트림에 대한 질의 색인 기법을 제안한다. 이 논문은 ECSpec 필터링 범위의 3단계 계층구조 특징을 고려한 코드 분할(Code Segmented) 도메인을 제시하고 이를 위한 그리드 기반 색인 구조를 제안한다. 또한 ECSpec의 필터링 패턴 특징에 의해 나타나는 질의 조각의 반복 현상을 정의하고 이를 위한 질의 처리 기법을 제시한다.

One of the IIDSt difficult problems in a tri-band fluorescent lamp manufacture is to search a desired color by an adequate mixing of tri-color phosphors. When a light spectrum of a phosphor is slightly changw or distorted due to process variable or when another spectrum such as from Ar, Kr or a iDosphor of calcium halo-phosphate as a first layer exist, it is even rrnre difficult to search a desired color. In this work, a rapid awuaching rrethod to a desired light color was studied. 1bree single-color fluorescent lamps and three-color-mixed fluorescent lamps with different mixing ratios were prepared and the spectra of these lamps were measured, from which the rrercury and the argon spectra were eliminatffl to obtain the rrndifiw color coordinates. From this rrndifiw color coordinate, h.lIlHl ratios of green and blue to red were correlatffl with their weight ratios. This correlation was awliw to the industrial line for single and double layer coating and proven to be valuable as a desired color matching procWure in tri-color fluorescent lamp manufacture.acture.

Color, an important visual cue, can cross-modally affect odor association and odor quality identification Here, this research investigates aspects of the cross-modal associations between color and fragrance in greater depth, delving into the topic of whether the degree-of-association of fragrances with hue and tone of colors varies systematically. For 33 color stimuli (10 hues, 3 tones, and 3 achromatic colors), 67 subjects judged the degree-of-association of four typical fragrance families (fresh, floral, oriental, and woody) on a 7-point scale. The statistical analysis showed that fragrance associations of the all families had characteristic distributions across ten hues of the color stimuli. The cross-modal relationship between color tone (especially, lightness attribute) and fragrance association appeared to be dimensional (e.g. a positive linear relationship between the floral family and the lightness). More specifically, as colors became warmer and brighter, the associated floral scents were stronger, while the woody scents was less associated. Brighter or more vivid cool colors were associated with stronger fresh scents. These findings confirm the systematic existence of synthetic interactions between vision and olfaction in perfumery.

This study is to research the symbolism of the Eastern and Western costumes' color in films. Therefore, I chose movies about colors, which are 'Trzy Kolory', a Western movie directed by Krzysztof Kieslowski and 'Hero', an Eastern movie directed by Zhang Yimou. The purpose of this study is to figure out the symbolism of the common colors shown in both movie which are red, blue and white. Also, by comparing the eastern and western color symbols I studied the ambivalence of colors. Therefore, the comparison of the eastern and western color symbolisms are as the followings. The color red symbols charity in the movie and jealous, hatless, lies, expansion, self esteem, resist, struggle and sadness in the movie . The color blue symbols freedom, lost, gloomy and sadness in the movie and sacrifice and sadness in the movie . The color white symbols equality and emptiness in the movie and true love, sadness and sacrificed love in the movie . Consequently, it appears that the colors symbolize differently in the East and the West. Three series of which is the West movie has more positive meanings than the Eastern movie. Therefore, the meanings of symbols of the costumes' color are different in the East and West as they have different cultures, and also they could be expressed differently by the directors intention.
