Objectives: Antidepressants are frequently associated with sexual dysfunction. Especially, there were few report of sexual dysfunction related with venlafaxine and mirtazapine in Korea. The purpose of this survey was to evaluate the frequency and nature of sexual dysfunction related with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors(SSRIs), venlafaxine and mirtazapine by the use of specific questionaires. Methods: In one hundred twenty two patients, sexual dysfunction was investigated cross-sectionally by using The questionaires for sexual dysfunction, which includes questions about decreased libido, delayed orgasm or ejaculation, premature ejaculation or orgasm, absence of orgasm or ejaculation, erectile dysfunction in men/vaginal lubrication dysfunction in women, sexual pain and patient's tolerance of the sexual dysfunction. BDI was also measured. Sexual dysfunction was analyzed in association with the duration and the dose of medications and the severity of depression. Results: The incidence of sexual dysfunction during antidepressants use in our survey was 37.7%. There were no difference of incidence in sexes(p=.746). In comparison of paroxetine, venlafaxine and mirtazapine, there were no significant differences of the incidence(p=.065) and the severity of any type of sexual dysfunction. Conclusion: Although there were no significant differences of sexual dysfunction in our survey, sexual dysfunction may be closely associated with antidepressants. Further prospective study of sexual dysfunction should be needed.

The aim of this study was to investigate the association between perceived periodontal status and sexual function among adult men. Three hundred thirty adult male participated in this study living at Changwon and Jinju. All the participants surveyed the socio-demographic characteristics, perceived periodontal status, stress, and international index of erectile function (IIEF) using self-administrated questionnaire. The univariate and multivariate analyze were adapted to access the crude and adjusted associations using PASW Statistics 18.0. In univariate analysis, there were significant differences between perceived periodontal status and IIEF and most of socio-demographic characteristics (p<0.05), but no significant differences between stress and all of socio-demographic characteristics (p>0.05). The sexual function was negatively correlated with perceived periodontal status (r=-0.228, p<0.001) and stress (r=-0.257, p<0.001), respectively. In multivariate analysis, perceived periodontal status was significantly associated with sexual function (b=-0.889, p=0.030) after adjusting for socio-demographic characteristics and stress. Therefore, it is found that perceived periodontal status negatively influenced on sexual function in adult men.

혹자는 '여성에게도 성기능장애가 있나?'라고 되물을 수도 있다. 왜냐하면 여성이 성기능장애 때문에 성행위를 못했다는 애기를 별 들어본 적이 없기 때문일 것이다. 혹 어떤 이유로 아파서 못할 수는 있겠지만, 아니 어쩌면 상대가 아파해도 무리하게 성관계를 해본 남성이라면 더 더욱이 고개를 갸우뚱거릴 것이라고 생각된다. 쉽게 얘기해서 남성도 조루가 있는 사람이 성관계 자체에는 별 문제가 없지만 성적 만족도가 떨어지기 때문에 의료인의 도움을 청하는 경우와 유사하다고 이해하면 되겠다. 여성은 성기능에 문제가 있어도 성행위가 가능은 하지만 매 성행위마다 별로 성적 중족감을 느끼지 못한다면 무언가 문제가 있지 않을까?

This study examined the sexual function, sexual distress, and quality of life of middle-aged women with osteoarthritis, as well as the factors influencing the quality of life. The participants were 121 middle-aged women who have been suffering osteoarthritis. Data collection was conducted from September 1 to October 31, 2019. The instruments were the Female Sexual Distress Scale (FSDS), the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI), and the World Health Organization Quality of Life Assessment Instrument (WHOQLO) -BREF scale. Data were collected with structured questionnaires and analyzed using a t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. A positive correlation was observed between sexual function and quality of life, whereas sexual distress had a negative correlation between sexual function and the quality of life. Factors affecting the quality of life of middle-aged women with osteoarthritis were sexual function, sexual distress, which explained 16.1%. Sexual distress, sexual function, and quality of life showed a correlation. Therefore, it is important to develop a nursing intervention that can improve the sexual function and reduce the sexual distress of middle-aged women with osteoarthritis to improve their quality of life.

This study aimed to compare the differences in sexual function and sexual preference according to demographic characteristics of women, sexual experience, preference penile type, and sexual dysfunction. 72 adult women responded to the survey. 54 respondents were analyzed except respondents who did have incomplete response and no sexual experience. All collected data were analyzed using independent t-test and chi-square test using SPSS 22. In results, Married was significantly higher in intercourse frequency and sexual function than unmarried(p<.05). In economic status, high or middle was significantly higher in the subjective sexual experience and sexual function than the low(p<.05). In subjective sexual experience, high was higher in intercourse frequency than the low, and penile length and type were important(p<.05). preference of glans> penis was significantly higher in subjective sexual experience than preference of glans $${\frac{._-}{.}}$$ penis, and importance of penile girth and size(p<.05). In sexual function, normal function was lower in intercourse frequency than dysfunction, and penile length was not considered significant(p<.05). The results of this study suggest that there may be differences in sexual function and sexual preference according to various causes and can be used as basic data for the development of psychological counseling program for sexual function rehabilitation of women.

In this paper, we developed and then analyzed the specifications of the frequency synthesizer which was applied to long range MFR (Multi-function Radar). These specifications were able to guarantee the functions and performance of MFR. MFR was the radar system that used phase array for electronically scanning. This frequency synthesizer made various frequency signals including to STALO (Stable Local Oscillator) for MFR. By analyzing the MFR requirements, we choose the optimal frequency synthesis method and then we got the best performance and functionality including to physical size for this system. We designed and fabricated DDS (Direct Digital Synthesizer)-driven Offset-PLL (Phase Locked Loop) synthesizer to meet the requirements which were low phase noise, fast switching time and low spurious. This synthesizer had less than -131dBc/Hz@100kHz phase noise and less than $4.1{\mu}s$ switching time, respectively.

Sexual satisfaction depends a lot of various factors. The study was conducted to understand middle-aged women's sexual function, sexual communication, and sexual satisfaction and to determine factors influencing sexual satisfaction. As a descriptive correlation study, data was collected during Oct. in 2012 to Jan. in 2013 from 126 middle-aged women in Korea. Sexual function, sexual communication, and sexual satisfaction were averaged 25.02 (range of score 2~36), 3.12 (out of 5), and 2.36 (out of 4), respectively. Sexual satisfaction had a positive correlation with sexual function and sexual communication. Sexual function, sexual communication, and last formal education were influencing factors on sexual satisfaction. Sexual satisfaction of middle-aged women was considered their physical and psychological aspects. Nurses should become aware of the wider consideration that need to be made in relation to the general and sexual quality of life when caring for middle-aged women.

This study is a descriptive study to investigate the relationship between sexual function, sleep quality, and depression in male cirrhosis patients. Data were collected from a structured questionnaire from August 16, 2017 to January 30, 2018. Data were collected by t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson correlation. AS a result, the lower the sexual function of male cirrhosis patients, the lower the quality of sleep (r=-.232, p =.005) and the higher the depression score (r=-.381, p<.001) The lower the score, the higher the score of depression (r=.561, p<.001). Sexual function, quality of sleep and depression were found to be statistically significant. The results of this study can be used as basic data for the development of nursing intervention for male cirrhosis patients.
