청소년의 성교육은 왜 필요한가?

  • 남녀 간의 원만한 인간관계 성형을 위하나 지도프로그램이 있어야 한다. 남녀 혼성의 집단 활동, 취미활동, 봉사활동프로그램을 통해 이성의식 및 이성교제의 원만한 성장 발달이 이루어지도록 도와주어야 한다. 그러기 위해서는 가정, 학교, 사회가 유기적으로 연관을 가지면서 성교육을 실시하여 성의 바른 이해와 성적 인간으로서의 인격적 성숙을 하도록 꾀해야 할 것이다.

  • 성교육의 기본은 남녀평등의식이다. 성불평등은 궁극적으로 여성의 건강을 헤치고 여성들의 성적 활동에 대한 관리 능력과 원치 않는 임신, HIV/에이즈 및 성병으로부터 자신들을 보호하기 위한 능력 증진에 많은 지장을 주게 된다. 성평등적 성문화 형성과 남자 청소년의 건전한 성의식을 위한 노력이 필요하다.

A Study on the Efficiency of Sex Education & Prevention of Sexual Violence Program for Middle School Students (중학생을 위한 성교육 및 성폭력 예방 프로그램 효과성에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and to examine the effect on sex education program to middle school student. The subjects were 8 grade students and to examine 10 session education. Collected data was analyzed by SPSS WIN 12.0 program. The major results of this study were as follow ; First sex education program was developed into four areas : human and sex psychology, physical development and sex healthy, sex social environment and equality, marriage and healthy family. Included program contents were human dignit communication, sex curiosity, difference of sex, genital organs, pregnancy and birth, family violence, sexual violence, equality, parent-children relationships, family role. Second, sex education program was effective to improve degree of sex knowledge and to change sex attitude. Finally, sex education program needs to be continuously offered even to lower grades in elementary school.

The Study of the Recognition of Sexual Roles, the Demand of Sexual Education and the Consciousness of Sexual Education in the Korean teachers (한국 교사들의 성역할인지, 성교육요구 및 성교육 의식정도에 관한 조사연구)

  • The study was attempted and executed to reach the following conclusions. The period was May 1st through June 15th, 1998 and the subjects were 302 teachers consisting of School Nurses and general teachers in Pusan city. 1) The degrees of recognition of sexual roles by the subjects were compared as follows : The average point as to the recognition of sexual roles in the occupational functions by the school nurses was 2.41, higher than that of the general teachers. The average points as to the recognition of sexual roles in the attitudes by the school nurses was 2.28, higher than that of the general teachers. The average points as to the recognition of sexual roles in the abilitis was 2.26, higher than that of the general teachers. These ascertain that school nurses recognize the man has higher superities in the occupational functions, the attitudes and the abilities than the woman. 2) The degrees of demand of sexual education by the subjects were compared as follows : As to the degrees of demand of sexual education, the school nurses showed higher demand than the general teachers in the concepts such as 'the society and sexualities, physiology and actual education'. 3) The levels of the consciousness of sexual education by the subjects were compared as follows : the general teachers showed the more strict attitudes than the school nurses against the lascivious sex objects and wanted the punishment against the related students and the general teachers have myth. They claimed that their family have no relation with the sexual violence or pornography. As to the masturbation, the general teachers showed the more conservative attitudes. 4) The opinions by the subjects as to the well-qualified person in charge of sexual education in school were compared as follows : 77.3% of the school nurses, and 36.1% of the general teachers supported the school nurses.

A Systematic Review on Sex Education of Children and Adolescent With Developmental Disabilities (발달장애를 가진 아동·청소년의 성교육 연구에 대한 체계적 고찰)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to analyze researches about sex education for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities in order to provide a basic data and a direction about sex education. Methods : For the systemic review, domestic and international research articles published from August 2008 to September 2018 were searched using the electronic databases PubMed, EBSCO host (CINAHL Plus with full text), Medline (ProQuest), RISS, and KISS. Keyword used for the search was 'Disability Disorder OR Autism (AND) AND (Effect OR Effectiveness)' for international papers and 'Disability AND Sex Education' for domestic papers. Total 15 articles were collected and analyzed in terms of participant, duration, type, contents, and teaching methods with PICO format. Results : In terms of level of evidence, majority was Level III evidence(60%). Most common contents of sex education were 'physical and growth' and 'relational skills'. Special education and occupational therapy were the field that sex education is provided most frequently. Effects of sex education identified were 'sex knowledge', 'sex attitudes', and 'inappropriate sexual behavior'. Conclusion : This study intend aimed to identify content, trends, and effects of sex education for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities in order to provide a basic data for clinical trial of sex education in occupational therapy practice. This study recommend further researches on the effects of sex education on occupational participation, occupational therapists' awareness of sexual activity of clients, and development of related measurement such as sexual development scale.

일 대학생의 성의식과 생명윤리의식이 성 태도에 미치는 영향

  • 본 연구는 일 대학생의 성의식과 생명윤리의식이 성 태도에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위해 실시되었다. 연구대상은 K시에 위치한 일 대학교의 재학생 386명으로 324명의 자료가 분석에 사용되었다. 연구결과 성의식은 학과 및 성별에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였고(p<.001) 성 태도는 성별(p<.001)과 성지식 경로(p<.01)에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였다. 사후검정 결과 성의식 정도는 보건계열학과 학생이 관광계열학과와 스포츠계열학과 학생보다 유의하게 높았으며, 성 태도 점수는 남성이 여성보다 유의하게 높았다. 성의식과 성 태도는 음(-)의 상관관계가 있었으며, 대학생의 성 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 성의식(p<.001), 성별(p<.01), 성지식 경로(p<.001)이었다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 대학 내에서는 대학생들의 성의식을 함양시키기 위해 현실적이고 체계적이며, 실천가능한 성교육 프로그램을 마련해야 할 것이다.

The Changes in Gender-Egalitarianism after Sexuality Education in Middle School Students (성교육에 따른 중학생의 남녀평등의식 변화)

  • Purpose: In an attempt to measure the changes in gender-egalitarianism after sexuality education based on the gender-egalitarianism in middle school students, this study was carried out. Methods: The subjects were 137 students (67 boys and 70 girls) in 4 classes that were randomized from among 8 classes of first graders in a coeducational middle school, in Seoul. By the school nurse with the assistance of an advisory committee on sex education by the MOE, sexuality education was implemented based on gender-egalitarianism. The content was presented over 18 hours during 16 weeks, from September, 2001 to December, 2001. For the pre and post check on gender-egalitarianism, a Gender Egalitarianism Scale modified by the researcher was used. Results: After the sexuality education based on the gender-egalitarianism, there was a significant elevation in gender-egalitarianism(t=4.378, p=0.000). There were no significant differences in the mean changes in gender-egalitarianism according to religion, economy level, educational level of parents, and openness of parents. And little experiences in adult video, no experience in masturbation, and being without the opposite sex were related to significant elevations in gender-egalitarianism. The case of the having the positive sexual attitudes showed a significant elevation in gender-egalitarianism as compared with the case of having negative sexual attitudes. Conclusions: Based on these results, sexuality education based on gender-egalitarianism for youth was effective in elevating gender-egalitarianism scores. Because the case of the wide experiences with sexual behaviors showed a tendency to make low gender-egalitarianism, the education program would be effective to implement early in the school as childhood is a period in which children have a non-established sex-role.

  • This study aimed to identify the effects of using storytelling techniques in sex education, in which students are encouraged to talk about their experiences with sex and love and helps them form their own sex values and decision-making skills related to sex. A five-period teaching-learning plan covering issues including safe, considerate and responsible sex was developed using the storytelling technique for 134 first-year students in 4 classes. 134 questionnaires were administrated through pre-and post-test and 38 worksheets applying a variety of storytelling activities were analyzed using content analysis. Students were found to have gained a more positive outlook on relationships and a considerate attitude towards others in sex. There was also a significant increase in items considering safe sex, including perceptions on contraception methods and selection of safe contraception methods. The students' sense of sexual responsibility was also enhanced. Results of content analysis found students to have shifted to sex focusing on love and responsibility, and to have grown a stronger sense of responsibility in their relationships. Furthermore, the respondents expressed interest in selecting proper contraception methods and held strongly negative perceptions about abortion.

  • Creation by human starts from ascribed situation. That means creating new relationships among seemingly unrelated things. The art production process requires creativity which materializes the inspiration emerging as an image. The production of sculpture utilizing waste is creative in regard of its advantage of being easy to recognize since it de-categorizes ascribed things and needs an overall view of considering decomposed sculpture elements syntagmatically according to the new image. Students have different point of view and develop creativity and originality in their curiosity of seeking something new, observing things of their vision, the standard of using material and in the process of selecting the materials, etc. This research suggests an extensive creativity education of producing sculpture, which implies the environmental consciousness and life respect, by means of change their recognition about seemingly meaningless waste.

A study on the meaning of abolition of abortion of abortion for nursing students using media (매체를 이용한 간호대학생의 낙태법폐지 의미고찰)

  • The purpose is a qualitative study to explore the self-consciousness of nursing students regarding the abolition of the abortion law using media. The participants of this study were 20 students who were first-year students at a university in M city, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and had strong awareness about the abolition of the abortion law. Data collection was done through self-reports within 72 hours of watching the video on life phenomena. The collected data were analyzed using Krippendorff's phenomenological method. As a result of analyzing the experiences related to the abolition of the abortion of abortion it was derived into 16 meaningful statements in 3 categories and 9 topics. Three categories were derived from 'disregarded dignity', ambiguity of boundaries, and 'reeducation in sex education'. As a result of this study, it was confirmed that the abolition of the abortion law in nursing colleges had opportunities for women's reproductive health promotion and women's human rights, and various social participation attitudes as nursing students. It is expected to be used as a useful basic data for student life counseling in the future, and it is expected to be used as a basic data for the development of reproductive health promotion education.
