A Study on the Domain Knowledge Development of Expert System for the Project Management in the Defense Information Systems (국방정보체계 사업관리용 전문가 시스템의 도메인 지식 개발에 관한 연구)

  • 국방정보체계는 종류가 다양하고 대규모로 추진되기 때문에 소프트웨어 개발을 위한 사업관리에 어려움이 많이 따른다. 더구나, 현재 국방정보체계의 사업관리는 자동화시스템을 이용하여 체계적으로 실시하지 않고 수동으로 처리하기 때문에 많은 문제점이 야기되고 있고 현재의 소프트웨어 개발 표준인 ISO 12207을 수정 없이 그대로 대규모 실시간 국방정보체계의 소프트웨어 개발사업에 적용하는 것도 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 논문의 목적은 효율적인 국방정보체계 소프트웨어 개발 사업관리를 위해서 국방정보체계별로 적절한 개발 생명주기 모델을 선정하고, 각 단계별로 사업관리자가 수행할 태스크를 식별하는 등의 도메인 지식을 개발하여 궁극적으로 국방정보체계 사업관리용 전문가 시스템을 개발할 때 활용함과 동시에 국방정보체계 사업관리의 일환으로 최종 산출물에 대한 품질을 높일 수 있도록 체계적인 시험평가 방안에 대한 도메인 지식도 개발하여 사업관리용 전문가 시스템 구축 시에 활용하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해서 국방정보체계의 소프트웨어 개발 사업관리에 영향을 미치는 요소들을 식별하고 이를 이용하여 국방정보체계 소프트웨어 개발 사업관리를 위한 전문가 시스템을 구축할 수 있도록 생명주기 모델 선정을 위한 도메인 지식, 생명주기 각 단계별 세부활동을 위한 도메인 지식, 시험평가 방안선정을 위한 도메인 지식을 개발하여 제시하였다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 도메인 지식을 전문가 시스템 개발도구에서 지원되는 각종 에디터에 사용되는 형태나 IF A, THEN B 형태로 개발하지 않고 사업관리용 전문가 시스템의 지식베이스에 포함될 지식들을 식별하는 것을 중심으로 개발하였다. 즉, 본 논문에서는 국방정보체계 사업관리용 전문가 시스템 개발의 필요성과 가능성을 검증하는 용역연구과제로써 프로토타입 혹을 완벽한 사업관리용 전문가 시스템을 개발한 것이 아니며, 전문가 시스템 개발 시 가장 어렵고 중요한 지식베이스 모듈속에 포함될 도메인 지식을 개발하는 것이 이 연구의 목적이다. 이러한 연구는 궁극적으로는 이러한 도메인 지식이 국방정보체계의 사업관리를 위한 전문가 시스템의 지식베이스 모듈 구축 시 기초/기반 및 핵심 지식으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Perceptions of Researchers on Cooperative Utilization of Research Outcomes (R&D 성과물 공동활용에 대한 연구자들의 인식에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to scrutinize the copyright issue under Open Access environment. A survey has been carried out to investigate researchers' awareness and recognitions about such issues. For this, bioinformatics researchers were selected and surveyed. Descriptive statistics method is employed for analysis of collected data. The findings of this study summarized as follow. (1) Although the researchers regarded the Open Access a positive initiative, the perceptions about open access were very low. (2) The researchers demanded possession of copyright depending on type of research information. (3) Many agencies did not required the transfer of copyright to the researcher. Thus, there is a possibility of dispute regarding copyright issues between researchers and agencies. (4) The researchers are willing to participate in open access activity on the assumption that their study is used in legitimate objective. On the basis of these findings, suggestions are added in as an impetus to lower the barrier against a copyright and higher the approach to information seekers and information providers.

  • Project Monitoring and Control is one of the required activities in project management. This activity provides the information about whether a project is making a progress as it is planned. It is usually performed in weekly meetings or milestone meetings where the project manager checks the project's current status based on project measures such as schedule, cost and work performance. One of the popular method for project monitoring and control is EVM(Earned Value Management). The major characteristic of EVM is that it uses only one measure 'cost' for schedule and work performance so that it enables 2 independent graphs to be illustrated in one integrated graph based on cost. For applying EVM to a project, it is essential to break whole work to work packages and to assign value of cost to each work package at the initial stage of the project. Therefore EVM is well matched with the lifecycle which requires whole plan at the beginning of project. However, in XP(eXtreme Programming), whole customer requirements are difficult to define and to make a complete plan at the beginning and are more detailed in each Iteration. Therefore EVM is not comfortable method for XP. Therefore in this research we suggest 3 layer EVM which can be applied in XP, and develop a process guidelines based on CMMI(Capability Maturity Model Integration) PMC(Project Monitoring and Control) process area.

Firm's Market Value Trends after Information Security Management System(ISMS) Certification acquisition (정보보호 관리체계 인증 취득 후 기업가치의 변화에 관한 연구)

  • This study analyzed quantitative effects of ISMS certification. To measure the company value change the stock data was used and the methodology of event study was also applied. Event study methodology is a method of analyzing the effects of information or public announcement about certain events on the stock market through abnormal return of stock price. First, ISMS certification was acquired followed by the measurement of abnormal excess return of company. Based on the increase or decrease of abnormal excess return, the group was classified. There are 3 types of groups("Increase", "Reduce", "Maintain"). Next, the cluster analysis was performed for each group. Cluster analysis or clustering is the task of grouping a set of objects in such a way that objects in the same group (called a cluster) are more similar (in some sense or another) to each other than to those in other groups(clusters). The purpose of this study is to have a quantitative measurement of performance of ISMS certification. So, the result of this study will be promoted a company's ISMS certification acquisition. And it would further be beneficial to your company's information security activities.

The Industrial and Customer Characteristics Influencing on the CRM Effects (산업 및 고객 특성에 따른 CRM 효과 차이에 관한 연구)

  • Upon the intensive competition, companies try to hold their current customers by investing more money and efforts on CRM activities. They provide various benefits for their customer to keep them and increase their loyalty. However many companies want to know how effective their CRM activities are. In this paper, we investigate the effectiveness of companies' different CRM activities on customer perception of different benefits as well as their loyalty. For this we categorize the benefits that companies provide for their customer into four different types of customer benefits such as social customer benefits, psychological customer benefits, economic customer benefits and customization benefits. We examine the effects of different customer benefits and how different the customer benefits vary depending on the types of industries and even on the involvement level, relationship types, and customer's acceptance level of risks. We found that the CRM activities had, in general, a positive effect on customers' perception and loyalty. However, companies had better selectively concentrate their CRM activities on the most effective ones considering the involvement level, relationship types, and customer's acceptance level of risks along with the industry where they belong.

  • This paper studied the improvement of software process of the software firms. Software process infrastructure level of software process is very important. This study provided that software process infrastructure have an significant influence on the process level, process infrastructure management level, and software process performance. The result showed that software process high level is elevated through management activity of organization infrastructure and technical infrastructure. And organization performance is elevated through fit between process level and quality culture of software process. Problem factors of software process infrastructure improvement is lack of process improvement mind, leadership and investment. Therefore software firms must construct process improvement through supporting of process quality mind and investment with process infrastructure improvement.

A Study on Harmonized Hand Signal Standards for Shipboard Work Safety (1): A Validity Analysis of Ship Hand Signal Standardization (선박작업 안전을 위한 수신호 통일지침 마련에 관한 연구(1) - 선박의 수신호 체계 표준화 타당성 검증을 중심으로)

  • As preliminary work for the establishment of a harmonized ship hand signal standard, this paper explores the availability of hand signals as a means of shipboard work communication and considers the validity of standardization. Prior to the feasibility study, shipboard work activities that use hand signals were classified based only on ship safety managers' arbitrary decisions. This survey was carried out to measure shipboard workers' willingness to communicate with hand signals and their preferences regarding the institutional standardization of a hand signal framework if they engage in activities classified as relevant. The results of statistical analysis (a t-test and correlation analysis) showed that respondents are willing to accept harmonized hand signals regardless of both their work type (crew/safety supervisors) and work department (deck/engine room) under working situations where hand signals are an available means of communication. In addition, there was a significant difference in the extent of shipboard workers' frequency of hand signal usages between each type of work activity, indicating a significant positive (+) correlation between frequency of usage and preference for standardization. Finally, it was concluded that shipboard work communication would be effectively improved if a follow-up study is carried out to establish prioritized harmonized hand signal standards for port-related work activities, such as crane operation, windlass/winch operation, line movement/delivery and cargo hold operations.

A Qualitative Review of the Difficulties and Success Strategies of Workplace Health Management (사업장 보건관리의 어려움과 성공전략에 대한 질적 고찰)

  • This study aims to provide guidelines for the activities of workplace health managers by identifying their excellent health promotion activities and motivations. For this, consent for the study was obtained from 21 workplace health managers who had worked at the same company for more than five years, and a semi-structured questionnaire was sent via email to collect and qualitatively analyze the data. As a result, 17 categories and three topics were drawn. The derived topics included a sense of reward and accomplishment as workplace health managers, difficulties encountered as workplace health managers, and how to solve the difficulties. The survey respondents answered that they feel a sense of reward and accomplishment when workers open their mind, change their daily life, express gratitude, and pioneer new fields. On the other hand, they feel difficulties with unpredictable health, changes in the organizational culture, secrecy of disease, and people who think their job is easy. As a way of overcoming such difficulties, the research subjects said that it is necessary to read the minds of workers, let them know by themselves, use existing programs, have the most difficult people on their side, and spread their achievements. The results of this study revealed that it is required for workplace health managers to develop professional skills and emphasize the importance of health management to the policy-makers and employees of their workplace by continuously reporting health management performance. In addition, they need to actively benchmark the success strategies of exemplary workplace health managers.

  • The national investment versus research result management ratio is very low as we compare to those of other advanced countries. Also the system of efficient usage of research result is insufficient. It results inefficient R&D investment when we drive national R&D programs. In this paper we developed a generalized information system for efficient planning and management of national R&D programs. And we developed a efficient system of the R&D information support and a system of a smoothly circulating R&D information. Also we apply those systems to the development of the information system of Korea Research Council of Fundamental science and technology. This application system can provide a total R&D information of whole life cycle of the national R&D programs.

Integrated Model of Cost Management for Human Resources Development Institutes (직업능력개발기관의 원가관리를 위한 통합모형)

  • HRDI(Human Resources Development Institute) has not performed the efficient costing model because of it's variety types of institutes, courses and vocational education and training techniques. This study proposed the integrated costing model using job costing, activity based costing and standard costing methods to meet needs of HRDI. And the model will be used in two-phased approach including adoptable model and ideal model. The integrated model includes costing techniques, cost elements, indirect cost allocation bases and cost analysis methods using a contribution margin model to calculate and analyse cost information in HRDI. The proposed integrated costing model of HRDI has some limitation of no relationship with the performance management. But this model will prepare valuable information by using detailed data and costing techniques. And then this model will be developed as a advanced costing model using standard costing to relate with the performance model.
