Multimedia System for Developing Web based UCC Services (웹 기반 UCC 서비스 개발을 위한 멀티미디어 시스템)

  • In this paper, we design and implement the UCC services prototype system for image and video. The proposed system consists of the two components such as the multimedia processing subsystem and the metadata management subsystem. It provides the API to UCC service developers. The multimedia processing subsystem supports the media management and editing of image and video, and the streaming services of video. The metadata management subsystem supports the metadata management and retrieval of image and video. The reply management and script processing of UCC are given in the subsystem.

  • The International Maritime Organization has enacted mandatory performance standards for protective coatings (PSPC), and as a result, shipyards must perform 2R or 3-pass milling on the edges of color plates. However, manual milling could result in many problems in terms of work environment and productivity. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an edge milling automation system that can satisfy the regulations. In this study, a basic design for an edge milling automation system was developed for standard color plates, and the machining process was established by applying shape recognition and a machining path generation algorithm. In addition, operating software was developed, and suitable milling conditions were derived based on the results of a milling test. The results could be used to build an automation system that meets the PSPC requirements and improve productivity.

  • A forging product in general is made through buster blocker and finisher processes. The dies used in these processes are designed by experienced forging engineers. In the present study an expert system is developed for the finisher die design of axisymmetric hot steel forging. It is a rule based system written in Fortran and AutoLISp operating on a personal computer. In this paper major rules consid-ered in the system are summarized and the capabilities of the system are examined through several examples.

  • In hot forging the blocker is a transient shape between the buster and the finisher, In general as the finisher shape becomes complicated the blocker design becomes quite difficult. In the present study an expert system is developed for the blocker die design of axisymmetric hot steel forging. It is a rule based system written in Fortran and AutoLISP operating on a personal computer. In this paper the major rules considered in the system are summarized and several blockers designed by the system are discussed with results of rigid viscoplastic finite element analysis.

  • In this paper, we study the optimal design for improved rotation latch system performance. The factors affecting the Torque generated in the armature were chosen as design variables. Utilizing the vertical matrix, the orthogonal array table was created to predict the results through minimal analysis. To confirm the Torque generation amount, by utilizing the commercial electromagnetic analysis software MAXWELL, finite element analysis was performed. The approximation method and experimental design through the commercial PIDO tool PIAnO for optimal design and calculations were utilized to perform experiments using an optimization method with evolutionary algorithms. Using the approximation model, design factors were determined that can maximize the torque generated in the armature, and the simulation was performed.

However, due to the lack of such engineers, it is necessary to develop expert systems with which engineers of little experience can perform the design task. In the present study, an expert system is developed for axisyrnmetric hot steel forgings. It is a rule based system written in Fortran and AutoLISP, operating on a personal computer. In this paper, structures of the system are summarized and capabilities of the system are examined through several examples.

  • 반도체 제조 공정의 효율적인 제어와 감시를 위한 모니터링 시스템을 구성하기 위해서는 장비가 가진 특성과 시스템 환경에서 요구되는 조건들과 동작 상태 둥을 사용자 인터페이스를 통하여 한 눈에 감시할 수 있는 화면 레이아웃이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 차세대 반도체 장비인 300mm 웨이퍼 가공용 Spinner 의 MMI 개발을 목표로 하여 장비의 구성 요소들의 선택적 접속에 따라서 사용자 인터페이스용 레이아웃을 능동적으로 설계하는 방법에 대하여 기술하였다. 장비를 구성하는 기본 요소들간의 관계를 정의하고, 장비의 사양과 웨이퍼의 가공 목적에 따라 구성 요소들을 자동으로 유연성있게 배치하도록 하였다.

  • 전력선통신을 이용한 원격검침 시스템의 구축이 시범사업을 넘어 상용화 수준으로 확대되어가고 있으나 현재까지는 주로 주상변압기에서 댁내 수용가정간에 고속전력선 통신칩을 사용하여 셀 토폴로지형태로 100가구전후 원격검침망을 구성하였다. 지중구간의 전력선은 가공선로와는 많은 다른 통신채널 특징을 가지며 지중화된 구간은 대도시 밀집지역에 주로 시설되기 때문에 원격검침시스템 구성시 가공구간보다 경제적인 측면에서나 검침자동화 확산 측면에서나 좋은 효과를 볼 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 지중고압선을 경유하는 원격검침망의 모델을 설계하고 시범운영을 통해 성능을 시험하였다.

Robust Design of Descending Lifeline Using Double Square Linkage Mechanism (이중 4절링크 기구를 이용한 완강기 강건 설계)

  • Recently, a new concept of a one-touch descending lifeline has been proposed to address the drawbacks of the conventional descending lifeline, which can be easily installed and quickly evacuated in the case of a fire emergency. All separate parts for escape are initially mounted in a box, and the link-type support is spread out of the window by pushing the handle attached to the box. In this study, the proposed double square linkage mechanism was redesigned, and its safety is verified by determining an appropriate moment of inertia of the link through finite element analysis using Abaqus. The shape and assembling method of the reel and speed controller were also modified such that the safety belt was simultaneously unfolded with link-type support. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed one-touch all-in-one descending lifeline was confirmed through fabrication.

Web-based Design and Manufacturing System for Micro Fabrication (마이크로 가공을 위한 웹 기반 설계 가공 시스템)

  • In this paper a web-based micro fabrication system is discussed. A commercial CAD and a web browser were used as its user interfaces. In these user interfaces the concepts of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) was implemented providing the fabrication knowledge of micro machining to the designers. Simple databases were constructed to store the fabrication knowledge of materials, tools, and micro machining know-how. The part geometry was uploaded to the web server of this system as an STL (Stereo Lithography) format with process parameters for 3-axis micro milling. A Slice-based process planner automatically provides NC codes for controlling micro stages. A couple of micro parts were fabricated using the system with micro endmills. This design and manufacturing system enables network users to obtain micro-scale prototypes in a rapid manner.
