Transit Frequency Optimization with Variable Demand Considering Transfer Delay (환승지체 및 가변수요를 고려한 대중교통 운행빈도 모형 개발)

  • We present a methodology for modeling and solving the transit frequency design problem with variable demand. The problem is described as a bi-level model based on a non-cooperative Stackelberg game. The upper-level operator problem is formulated as a non-linear optimization model to minimize net cost, which includes operating cost, travel cost and revenue, with fleet size and frequency constraints. The lower-level user problem is formulated as a capacity-constrained stochastic user equilibrium assignment model with variable demand, considering transfer delay between transit lines. An efficient algorithm is also presented for solving the proposed model. The upper-level model is solved by a gradient projection method, and the lower-level model is solved by an existing iterative balancing method. An application of the proposed model and algorithm is presented using a small test network. The results of this application show that the proposed algorithm converges well to an optimal point. The methodology of this study is expected to contribute to form a theoretical basis for diagnosing the problems of current transit systems and for improving its operational efficiency to increase the demand as well as the level of service.

  • Traffic assignment has been used both for predicting travel demands and for evaluating the tools for alleviating congestion on road network in advance. Some assignment models have been proposed such as equivalent mathematical minimization method, variational inequality problem, nonlinear complementary problem and fixed point method, in following the principle of Wardrop (1952) that no driver can not Improve his travel cost by unilaterally changing his route. Recently Jin(2005a) presented a traffic assignment model based on dynamic process. This paper proposes a solution algorithm for the model of Jin and assesses the performances. Compared to the Frank-Wolfe method, which has been wildly used for solving the existing assignment models, the proposed algorithm is expected to be more efficient because it does not need to evaluate the objective function. Two numerical examples are used for assessing the algorithm, and they show that the algorithm converges to user equilibrium of Wardrop.

Effects of Inflation Indexed Excise Duties on Transportation Fuel Consumption Using Demand Analysis based on the Linear Expenditure System in Korea (선형지출체계 수요함수 추정을 통한 수송용 유류 종량세의 물가연동제 도입효과 분석)

  • This paper estimates the effects of imaginary repeated increases in excise duties on fuel oil consumption and on their income redistribution according to changes in consumer price index, if the inflation indexation system was introduced right after the second Energy Tax Reform ended in July, 2007 in Korea. In fact, nominal excise rates have not been adjusted since 2007. As a result, the real excise rates on fuel oils have been diminished inversely proportional to the consumer price index. Own- and cross-price elasticities of fuel oils such as gasoline and diesel oil are estimated under the general equilibrium framework based on the linear expenditure system. Counterfactual analyses through microsimulation in a static model are adopted to estimate the effects of introducing inflation indexation into the fuel tax in 2007 when the second Energy Tax reform ended on the fuel consumption and income redistribution in 2014. Microsimulations suggest that its introduction could have reduced the consumption of gasoline and diesel oil by 8.8% and 5.4%, respectively, ending up with increased excise revenue by 11.9%. The revenue increase in spite of decreased consumption is mainly because their demands are price inelastic. It could also have increased positive income redistributive effect by 0.01%p (from 0.12% to 0.13%), which is measured in terms of percentage decrease in Gini coefficient. In other words, the fuel excise on the two fuel oils decreased by 0.13% the Gini coefficient of before and after fuel tax income in 2014. This implies that the inflation indexation could have enlarged the income redistributive effect up to 0.13% in 2014, if it is introduced in 2007.

  • It is expected that the SCM (Subcarrier Multiplexing) optical link system, in which a number of small scale base stations with only antenna and RF transceiver are connected to central station through optical fiber, is in demand. In order to analyze the performance of SCM optical link system fur RF signal transmission, MZ(Mach-Zehnder) modulator's transfer function is modelled as nonlinear form with the cube of input signal. And considering the multiple access interferences occurred In the demodulation of other users'CDMA signals with multipath components after passing through MZ modulator, the BER performance is analyzed.

  • 홍수기에 집중되는 하천유출량을 갈수기에 적절히 활용하기 위한 대표적인 시설이 댐이다. 제한된 용수공급량을 적절히 분배해 용수수요량을 만족시키면서 미래 갈수기시 용수공급을 위한 댐 저류량을 조절하는 것이 댐 운영의 중요한 목적 중 하나이다. 본 연구에서는 댐 저류량에 따라 댐 계획방류량을 일정비율 줄여주는 Hedging Rule을 5단계로 적용하여 댐의 상시만수위 저류량에 대한 실제 저류량의 편차 절대치 합, 수요에 대한 용수공급 부족량의 합, 그리고 하천유지유량에 대한 하천유량 부족량의 합을 목적함수로 하여 혼합정수 선형계획법(MILP, Mixed Integer Linear Programming)으로 식을 구성하였다. 한강수계의 다목적댐인 충주, 횡성, 소양강 댐과 용수전용댐인 광동 댐, 그리고 발전용 댐이지만 비교적 큰 저류용량을 가진 화천 댐을 댐 연계 운영 대상으로 하여 수자원장기종합계획의 2003년 유출량 및 수요량 자료와 댐운영실무편람의 댐 계획방류량 자료를 10일 단위로 입력하여 GAMS/CPLEX를 이용해 최적화하였다. 그 결과 생공용수 수요량 99.99%, 농업용수 수요량 99.91%, 그리고 하천유지용수 수요량 99.24%를 충족시키면서, 댐 저류율이 66.54%에서 86.39%로 증가하였다.

Performance Improvement of DS-CDMA Signal through MZ Modulator in Optical SCM Signal Transmission with Rake Receiver (광 SCM 전송방식에서 MZ 변조기를 통과한 DS-CDMA 신호의 레이크 수신기에 의한 성능개선)

  • It is expected in the future that the demand of optical subcarrier multiplexing system, in which a number of small size base stations with only antenna and RF transmission are connected to central station using optical fiber, will be increased in the CDMA digital cellular mobile communication network. In this paper, in order to analysis the performance of optical SCM system fur CDMA RF signal transmission, MZ modulator is modelled as a non-linear transfer function with cubic operation. The performance degradation due to multipath signals and other user signals through MB modulator is analyzed and the performance is improved using the Rake receiver.

  • The main purposes of this article are to introduce the theoretical backgrounds and empirical application methods of two different Models for the function of expenditure, and to compare the goodness-o(-fit of the two models: a single-equation model and a complete-system-of-demand-equation model. For the empirical analysis of the single-equation model, a linear formula and a double-leg formula were employed. In order to test the complete-system-of-demand-equation model empirically, the \"Linear Approximation/Almost Ideal Demand System (LA/AIDS)" was used. The independent variables were the total living expense and expenditure categories Price index. The data used in this study were obtained from the quarterly statistics of "The Annual Report on the Urban Family Income and Expenditure Survey (Dosigagyeyonbo)" and "The Annual Report on the Consumer Price Index (Sobijamulgajaryo)," for the years 1994 to 1997. The goodness-of-fit (R-square) was higher with the complete-system-of-demand-equation model than with the single-equation model for the budget share on food (excluding eating-out expenses) and for the share on cultural and recreational activities. However, there was no difference between the two models in terms of the proportion of the expenditure on automobile fuel.fuel.

  • This paper proposes an IP(Internet Protocol) multicast routing method by multiple tree routes. Multiple trees, instead of a single tree, improve the quality of multicast services with nonlinear link cost and huge traffic demand. The proposed method adds tree routes until it satisfies target conditions, and it splits the multicast traffic demand into the chosen tree routes. We develop a mathematical model and optimal conditions for traffic splitting. The method works on the problems with many different simultaneous multicast traffic. Various experiments were carried and the results show that the new multicasting is fairly effective on end-to-end quality of services.

  • Mode choice model is an essential element for estimating- the demand of new means of transportation in the planning stage as well as in the establishment phase. In general, current demand analysis model developed for the mode choice analysis applies common parameters of utility function in each region which causes inaccuracy in forecasting mode choice behavior. Several critical problems from using common parameters are: a common parameter set can not reflect different distribution of coefficient for travel time and travel cost by different population. Consequently, the resulting model fails to accurately explain policy variables such as travel time and travel cost. In particular, the nonlinear logit model applied to aggregation data is vulnerable to the aggregation error. The purpose of this paper is to consider the regional characteristics by adopting the parameters fitted to each area, so as to reduce prediction errors and enhance accuracy of the resulting mode choice model. In order to estimate parameter of each area, this study used Household Travel Survey Data of Metropolitan Transportation Authority. For the verification of the model, the value of time by marginal rate of substitution is evaluated and statistical test for resulting coefficients is also carried out. In order to crosscheck the applicability and reliability of the model, changes in mode choice are analyzed when Seoul subway line 9 is newly opened and the results are compared with those from the existing model developed without considering the regional characteristics.

  • 수문 및 수질자료는 일정한 기준에 의한 관측치를 시계열 자료로 기록하거나 전송할 때 다양한 형태의 오차가 발생하게 되며 또한 수문 및 수질자료를 관측하는 측정기기의 고장과 유지관리 등의 어려움으로 다양한 형태의 결측 자료가 발생하고 있다. 이와 더불어 수문 및 수질자료는 시공간적 변동성이 크며 비선형성이 강한 특성을 갖고 있다. 이러한 수문 및 수질 자료를 이용하여 모형을 구축할 경우 다양한 형태의 잡음에 대한 검증 및 잡음저감이 필수적 요건이라 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 영산강 유역의 본류부를 대표하는 나주지점에 대한 유출량과 총유기탄소(TOC) 농도 및 TOC 부하량 예측모형을 개발하였으며, 이를 위한 방법으로는 잡음저감을 위하여 웨이블렛 변환과 인공신경망을 적용하였다. TOC 부하량 자료는 유출량과 TOC 자료간의 함수로서 표현이 가능함에 따라 유출량 및 TOC 자료가 결측되었을 경우 역함수에 의한 계산으로 결측 자료에 대한 보간이 가능하다. 따라서 본 연구의 주안점은 잠음 저감 및 인공신경망에 의해 최적화된 예측 모형이 결측된 유출량과 TOC 자료에 대한 역함수로 정도있는 유출량과 TOC 자료 생성 가능성을 검토하고자 한다. 본 연구의 적용 결과, 유출량 자료가 결측되었을 경우 TOC 및 TOC 부하량 예측으로 유출량 자료에 대한 간접추정 및 결측 자료에 대한 보간의 정도를 평가한 결과 $R^2$는 0.99 이상의 값을 보였다. 또한, TOC 자료가 결측되었을 경우 역시 $R^2$는 비교적 우수한 0.97 이상의 값을 보였다. 따라서 본 연구에서 개발한 유출량 및 TOC, TOC 부하량 예측모형의 개발은 정도있는 유출량 및 TOC 수질 자료의 생성이 가능할 것으로 기대된다.한 물순환 해석을 할 수 있는 기반을 확보 하였으며, 가용한 장 단기간의 관측자료와 물수지 분석 연산식의 추정치를 바탕으로 관측자료에 의한 물수지 분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과로 산지 소하천 유역인 설마천 시험유역의 각 수문요소의 물이동간의 정량적인 값을 알 수가 있었으며, 앞으로 추가적이고 지속적인 수문모니터링이 운영되고 물순환 해석 모형에 의한 검증이 수행된다면 정량적인 물순환 관계를 규명할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 이와 관련된 수문요소기술을 확보할 수 있을 것이다.절한 타협과 조정을 필요로 한다. 그러나 절제의 한계를 넘어선다고 생각되거나, 조정의 노력이 불가능하거나, 실패했을 때 폭력적인 행동으로 나타나게 된다. 리차즈(I.A Richards)는 분노와 공포는 일단 겉잡을 수 없는 경향이 있다고 하면서 오늘날 폭력에 대한 요구가 일상의 정서 생활에 있어, 억압을 통한, 빈곤함을 반영하고 있지 않은지 생각해봐야 할 것이라고 충고한다. 조성 가이드라인(안)을 제시하였다.EX>$\ulcorner$세종실록$\lrcorner$(世宗實錄) $\ulcorner$지리지$\lrcorner$(地理志)와의 비교를 해보면 상 중 하품의 통합 9개소가 삭제되어 있고, $\ulcorner$동국여지승람$\lrcorner$(東國與地勝覽) 에서는 자기소와 도기소의 위치가 완전히 삭제되어 있다. 이러한 현상은 첫째, 15세기 중엽 경제적 태평과 함께 백자의 수요 생산이 증가하자 군신의 변별(辨別)과 사치를 이유로 강력하게 규제하여 백자의 확대와 발전에 걸림돌이 되었다. 둘째, 동기(銅器)의 대체품으로 자기를 만들어 충당해야할 강제성 당위성 상실로 인한 자기수요 감
