  • Logic programming based on classical or linear logic has traditionally lacked devices for expressing sequential tasks and sequential iterative tasks. Expressing sequential goal tasks has been addressed by a recent proposal of sequential goals of the form $G_1{\cap}G_2$ which is based on the game semantics of Japaridze. This paper proposes sequential iterative goal formulas of the form ${\cap}_x^LG$ where $G$ is a goal, $x$ is a variable, and $L$ is a list. ${\cap}_x^L$ is called a sequential bounded quantier. These goals allow us to specify the following task: sequentially iterate $G$ with $x$ ranging over all the elements of $L$.

  • In this paper, we consider the relationship between the nonlinearity and correlation immunity of functions suggested in [1], [3]. For the analysis of such functions, we present a simple method of generating the same set of functions, which makes us possible to construct correlation immune functions with controllable correlation immunity and nonlinearity.

  • Non-linear turbojet engine controller with high operational performance has been designed for the high maneuverability UAV. The turbojet engine dynamic performance code has been developed to reflect the non-linear characteristics on controller design, by which the necessity of non-linear controller design was justified by investigating the limitation of linear model derived from the dynamic performance. The PI-like fuzzy controller was designed and enhanced by combining with conventional derivative control. This designed fuzzy controller proves its effectiveness by showing superior control performances over the conventional PID controller along with guaranteeing the safe operation within compressor surge, flame out and turbine temperature limits etc.

  • 본 논문은 퍼지 추론 시스템 모델의 최적화를 제시한다. 비선형적이고 복잡한 실시스템의 특성을 해석하는 방법으로써 시스템의 정적 혹은 동적 특성을 묘사하기 위해 퍼지 모델이 사용된다. 그러나 퍼지 시스템의 동정은 경험적 방법에 의해 규칙을 추출하기 때문에, 보다 논리적이고 체계적인 방법에 의한 추출 방법의 고찰이 필요하다. 제안된 규칙베이스 퍼지모델은 GA 및 퍼지규칙의 이론을 이용한 시스템 구조와 파라미터 동정을 시향한다. 두형태의 퍼지모델 방법은 간략추론 및 선형추론에 의해 시행된다. 본 논문에서는 퍼지 추론 시스템의 전반부 파라미터 동정을 통해 퍼지 입력공간을 정의함으로써 비선형 시스템을 표현한다. 전반부 파라미터의 동정세는 유전자 알고리즘을 사용하고, 후번부는 표준가우스 소거법을 사용하여 동정한다. 최적화는 유전자 알고리즘에 기초한 자동-동조 방법이며, 학습 및 데이터의 성능결과의 상호 균형을 얻기 위한 하중값을 가진 성능지수가 제시된다.

A Statistical Test for the Nonlinear Combiner Logic (비선형 로직의 통계적 검정)

  • We propose a statistical test for the nonlinear combiner logics which are usually combined with two maximal Linear Feedback Shift Registers and generate pseudorandom bit sequences. This test uses the mutual information between the output and set of inputs which will be a random variable and its distribution is obeyed to an approximate $\{chi}^2$ -distribution. We adopt this statistic to a $\{chi}^2$ -test of independence by using contingency table. We also apply a proposed test to some non-linear crptosystems and show that this useful to evaluate the strength of the cryptosystems.

Extracting Rules from Neural Networks with Continuous Attributes (연속형 속성을 갖는 인공 신경망의 규칙 추출)

  • Over the decades, neural networks have been successfully used in numerous applications from speech recognition to image classification. However, these neural networks cannot explain their results and one needs to know how and why a specific conclusion was drawn. Most studies focus on extracting binary rules from neural networks, which is often impractical to do, since data sets used for machine learning applications contain continuous values. To fill the gap, this paper presents an algorithm to extract logic rules from a trained neural network for data with continuous attributes. It uses hyperplane-based linear classifiers to extract rules with numeric values from trained weights between input and hidden layers and then combines these classifiers with binary rules learned from hidden and output layers to form non-linear classification rules. Experiments with different datasets show that the proposed approach can accurately extract logical rules for data with nonlinear continuous attributes.

  • The present paper considers how to teach mathematical concepts. In particular, we aim to a balanced, unified achievement for three elements of concept loaming such as concept understanding, computation and application through one's mathematical intuition. In order to do this, we classify concepts into three patterns, that is, intuitive concepts, logical concepts and formal concepts. Such classification is based on three kinds of philosophy of mathematics : intuitionism, logicism, fomalism. We provide a concrete, practical investigation with important nine concepts in theory of vectors from the viewpoint of three patterns of concepts. As a consequence, we suggest certain solutions for an effective concept learning in teaching theory of vectors.

  • 본 논문은 수학적으로 모델링하기 어려운 비선형 시스템을 위한 새로운 계층적 규칙 기반 퍼지 시스템 모델링 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 퍼지 규칙 기반 구조를 상위 규칙 기반과 하위 규칙 기반으로 나누어 계층화 시키는 것이다 계층적 퍼지 규칙을 적용함으로써 퍼지 규칙을 효율적이고 논리적으로 이용할 수 있다. 퍼지 규칙의 효율적, 논리적 사용은 퍼지 시스템의 정확성을 높일 수 있고 구조를 명료화 시킬 수 있다. 유전 알고리즘은 제안된 퍼지 규칙의 파라미터 최적화 과정에 이용된다. 가스로 데이터에 대한 퍼지 모델링 결과를 통해서 제안된 기법의 타당성 및 효용성을 검증하고 타 기법의 결과와 비교한다.

  • In this paper, we propose a method that optimizes the parameters of fuzzy logic controller : centers and widths of membership functions and scaling factors using genetic algorithm. Before fuzzy logic controller controls a plant in real time, first off it is optimized by genetic algorithm. We select error and error variation between reference trajectory and real output for the input signals of fuzzy controller. We compared and investigated conventional fuzzy control method and proposed method through simulation and experiment using one link manipulator with nonlinear characteristic.
