Results of the SMART Injury Surveillance Registry for High School Athletes in West-central Florida, USA : A Pilot Study

  • 연구목적: 본 연구는 고교운동선수들의 스포츠상해(부상)현황 파악을 통한 사고 및 손상예방을 목적으로 개발된 손상감시프로그램을 설명하고, 1년간 수집된 자료를 보고하기 위하여 수행되었다. 연구방법: 본 연구는 미국 플로리다주 내의 10개 고등학교에 재학 중인 학생 운동선수들의 스포츠상해(부상)에 대한 세부내용(사고경위, 상해부위, 사고 당시 환경적 요소 등)을 수집하여 이루어졌다. 학생 운동선수들에게 발생한 스포츠상해 조사 및 보고는 2007년에서 2008년에 걸친 학기동안 각 학교에 배치된 운동트레이너(Certified Athletic Trainer)에 의해 이루어졌다. 연구결과: 조사기간 동안 10개 조사대상 고등학교에서 614건의 스포츠상해가 발생하였고, 연습 중 사고노출 비율(1,000회의 연습 중 1명의 선수가 상해를 입는 경우를 기준으로 함)에 있어서는 풋볼(Football)이 2.73을 기록해 가장 높은 상해율을 보였으며 여자축구(2.03)와 남자농구(1.67)가 그 뒤를 이었다. 실전경기 중 사고노출 비율(1,000회의 실전경기당 1명의 선수가 상해를 입는 경우를 기준으로 함)의 경우, 풋볼(Football)이 14.4, 여자농구가 9.96, 레슬링이 7.1을 기록하였다. 운동상해로 인한 증상은 염좌/삠(관절손상)이 가장 많았고, 가장 많이 다치는 신체부위는 발목, 무릎, 머리인 것으로 나타났다.

Structural relationships among achievement goal orientation, self-leadership and sport motivation of skating athletes (빙상선수의 성취목표성향과 셀프리더십 및 스포츠 동기의 구조적 관계)

  • This study was to verify the structural relationships among achievement goal orientation, self-leadership and sport motivation of skating athletes. The data were collected out of skating athletes in Seoul and Gyonggi area, and total 369 copies of data were utilized in this study. To verify the relationships among achievement goal orientation, self-leadership and sport motivation, the construct validity and reliability for each factor were analyzed using SPSS18.0 and AMOS18.0 program. And the relationships among three factors were analyzed using covariance structural analysis. The results were as follows. First, the achievement goal orientation of skating athletes had positive effects on self-leadership. Second, the achievement goal orientation of skating athletes had positive effects on sport motivation. Third, the self-leadership of skating athletes had positive effects on sport motivation.

A Comparative Analysis of Two Inflatable Kayak's Effect on Players and Kayak Performances (두 종류 공기주입식 카약 보트의 성능 비교 및 선수 수행력 비교 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences between two inflatable kayak by recording performance related variables during the kayak forward stroke motion. A total of 5 elite high school kayak players were recruited to participate while their kinematics and muscle activations were recorded while performing inside their high school swimming pool. Boat velocity, boats swaying angle, the average angular velocity and were used to evaluate the boats performance. The player's trunk rotational range of motion, knee flexion-extension angle range of motion, maximum trunk rotation angle, the knee flexion-extension angular velocity, and the upper and lower limb muscle activations were calculated and analyzed for the player's efficiency evaluation. There were no significantly different variables for the player's kinematics and their muscle activations for the two conditions. The B kayak was significantly faster than the A kaya. In addition there were no significant differences between the remaining variables for the two kayaks. In conclusion, the B kayak was faster than the A kayak, but neither of the kayaks had an influence on the player's performance variables.

  • This paper is concerned with the design of neural-network based autopilot control system. The back-propagation neural network introduced in the previous paper by authors is applied to the autopilot control system. As a result, two neural-network controllers are developed, which are the model reference adaptive neural controller and the instantaneous optimal neural controller. The model reference adaptive neural controller is the control technique that the heading angle and angular velocity are controlled by the rudder angle to follow the output of the reference model. The instantaneous optimal neural controller optimizes the transition from one state to the next state. These control techniques are applied to a simple ship maneuvering model and their effectiveness is proved by numerical examples.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study the internal side of game character for realistic characters, applying the HEXACO theory. To achieve this, we analyzed FIFA Online3 character's HEXACO based on the chaTacter features in game. The character does not have the all of the attributes of the present player. Therefore we reference the actual external evaluation keyword of players and analyzed HEXACO of actual players. The HEXACO of the character was complemented, comparing with the player's HEXACO. In order to apply to the game the character's HEXACO was simplified and divided by each position. Finally, we suggested a method of applying the character's HEXACO.

  • Control Algorithms of the Auto-Pilot system have been studied for the navigational economics and crew's comfortability since 1960's, when Auto-Pilot system was installed on the trans-ocean ships. At the beginning the PD control algorithm was used with the weather adjust function introduced to reduce the response of the auto-pilot system to the high frequency wave excitation in rough sea. In this study, the optimal and adaptive control theories are applied for the auto-pilot control algorithm. And those two algorithms are compared through the pre-defined cost function to obtain the most effective control technique for the Auto-Pilot system. The parameterization of the ship meneuvering equation for the adaptive control algorithm design procedure was examined and the advantage of the adaptive control was found through the simulation result with the wrong initial parameter value.

Effects of Energy System Contribution on Isokinetic Muscle Strength in Various Sport Events Athletes (무산소, 유산소 운동종목별 엘리트선수의 등속성 근기능에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to compare the muscle strength, muscle power, and H/Q ratio according to energy system contribution in athletes participating in various sports. Subjects of the study were assigned into an Anaerobic Exercise Group (AEG, n=60; Short-Distance, Weight Lifting, Jumping, Throwing, Bowling, Golf) and an Endurance Exercise Group (EEG, n=60; Modern Pentathlon, Field Hockey, Handball, Cycle, Boxing, Rowing) groups. Isokinetic peak torque/body weight% and flexor/extensor ratio at 60, 180 deg/sec of knee extension and flexion were measured using an cybex 770. Data analysis was conducted using an independent t-test and one-way ANOVA. Based on the results of this study, there was higher extension, flexion strength and flexion power in the AEG than the EEG (p<0.05). We also confirmed higher muscle strength and muscle power in short distance and jumping athletes than other athletes participating in other events (p<0.05). However, there was no significant difference within the endurance exercise group. The HS ratio was within a stable range of 50% to 60% in all events. Collectively, the outcomes of this study indicate that routine physiological and performance testing can provide measurable benefits for elite athletes and their coaches.

Analysis of Impulse Force and Kinematic Variable to the University Male's Triple Jumpers (남자 대학 세단뛰기 선수들의 충격력과 운동학적 변인 분석)

  • The purposes of this study were to describe the techniques used by the university male's triple jumpers and to examine the characteristics of the kinematic and the kinetic factors of the three phases of a triple jump. The subjects were the five finalists with 16.70m over in the triple jump at the 2003 World Student Games. After analyzing the kinematic and the kinetic data during the whole triple jump, the following findings are obtained. The heights of the center of gravity of takeoff and touchdown for the three phases of the triple jump were medium-law-high pattern and the same height pattern as hop and step, respectively. Mean values for the average forces exerted on the subjects ranged from 0.6 to 0.7 times body weight to the horizontal direction and about 2.8 to 3.0 times body weight to the vertical direction.

  • 이 글에서는 일곱장포커에서 생기는 약(約)의 분포에 관하여 기존의 확률계산이 필요없는 모의실험을 하였다. 속칭 오디라 불리우는 일곱장포커의 high-only 경우로, 3장을 가지고 시작함을 가정한다. 3, 4, 5, 6장째의 각 상황하에서 여러 선수가 가지는 상대적 우위를 구하는 프로그램을 완성하고, 실제로 수치결과를 보여주었다.
