An Evaluation Method for Short-Term Ratings of Double-Circuit Overhead Transmission Lines (2회선 가공송전선의 단시간정격에 관한 평가방법)

  • This paper describes an analytical method to determine the short-term ratings to reliably operate the overhead transmission lines with double-circuit lines when faulting one circuit of the two. As linearizing the thermal equilibrium equation that represents the temperature characteristic of conductors, we show that the linear equation can be easily represented the over-current and it's temperature property during overloading the one line. Generally, it is well hewn that the short-term line ratings should be determined by considering both conductor life and dip. However, most power companies have their own different guides for the short-term ratings. Using the suggested method in this paper, it can be re-accessed the short-term ratings given in Kepco's overhead transmission lines constructed during the past three different periods. As a result, it is verified that the short-term ratings could be increased mil efficiently. Furthermore, it would be directly applied the given method to determine the short-term dynamic line ratings when occurring faults in one of the double-circuit lines, without doing my other actions for the current lines.

Design of Dual-band Power Amplifier using CRLH of Metamaterials (메타구조의 CRLH를 이용한 이중대역 전력증폭기 설계)

  • In this paper, a novel dual-band power amplifier using metamaterials has been realized with one RF GaN HEMT diffusion metal-oxide-semiconductor field effect transistor. The CRLH TL can lead to metamaterial transmission line with the dual-band tuning capability. The dual-band operation of the CRLH TL is achieved by the frequency offset and the nonlinear phase slope of the CRLH TL for the matching network of the power amplifier. We have managed only the second- and third-harmonics to obtain the high efficiency with the CRLH TL in dual-band. Also, the proposed power amplifier has been realized by using the harmonic control circuit for not only the output matching network, but also the input matching network for better efficiency. Two operating frequencies are chosen at 900 MHz and 2140 MHz in this work. The measured results show that the output power of 39.83 dBm and 35.17 dBm was obtained at 900 MHz and 2140 MHz, respectively. At this point, we have obtained the power-added efficiency (PAE) and IMD of 60.2 %, -23.17dBc and 67.3 %, -25.67dBc at two operation frequencies, respectively.

  • Railroads have been developed as public transportation and made a great contribution to national economic growth. But after the mid-20th century, its qualities have been getting low because of focusing on the investment and development of cars and airplanes. Its role which is getting the excellent merits on the mass transportation, rapid transit, safety, state period, energy efficiency, and prevention of environmental pollution has been reconsidered. Elements of horizontal alignment are needed in the case where the existing railroad lines should be improved or moved. If its design drawing was lost or damaged, it is impossible to recover. It is not easy to repair for it as disasters. We must understand an existing railroad line to bring a function included a basic geography situation. In this study, we acquire, analyze, and process the digital images of the railroad and then reappear shape of three dimension. And we expect to be utilized to construct the facility information by extracting the alignment elements of existing railroad lines reversely.

A Study on the Application of Extension Method in Railway Transition Curved Zone Considering Field Status (지형여건을 고려한 철도 완화곡선 연장방법의 적용성에 관한 연구)

  • Railway curved zone have crucial effects on the speed of train. Length of transition curve is one of the important factor for alignment compatibility estimation in this sections, this value is decided by running speed and Cant. In this study, the extension method of transition curve is evaluated, based on the alignment of Jang Hang-Line, investigated field conditions of the sections in the curves exist. This research result show that changing of transition curve was proved by necessary to approximately two thirds of the curved sections, and method of fixing central point of track centerline and changing radius of curvature minimize the maximum shift in track centerline and deviation of radius, and also may be effective method for alignment suitability and speed up in case overall improvement is difficult.

  • 본 논문은 철도차량이 주행하는 선로에 존재하는 수많은 곡선과 경사, 속도 제한 조건 때문에 열차성능해석 계산시 열차의 견인, 제동 특성이 비선형이기 때문에 해석적인 방법으로 해를 구하는데 어려움이 많은 경제운전 문제를 운행 시간 여유분을 고려하여 에너지 소비를 최소화하는 운전 모형을 제시한다. 경제운전모형을 한국형 고속열차에 적용하여 그 타당성을 입증하였다.

  • This paper proposes the track layout criterion for the LRT(light rail transit). All criterions established concerning dimension and performance of LRT vehicles with rubber wheel. Using theoretical approach, adaptation and validity of criterions are verified. Especially, it were modified according to change of vehicle performance that criterions proposed previous version Proposed criterions may provide a standard scheme for design and construction of the track layout on LRT.

  • This paper proposes the track layout criterion for the LRT(light rail transit). All criterions established concerning dimension and performance of LRT vehicles that are three types. Types of vehices are AGT(automated guided train) steel wheel. AGT rubber tire and LIM(linear induction motor). Using theoritical approach, adaptation and validity of criterions are verified. Proposed criterions may provide a standard scheme for design and construction of the infrastructure on LRT.

  • 본 논문에서는 EMTDC/PSCAD 패키지를 이용하여 배전용 정지형보상기(DSTATCOM)의 모델을 제안하였고, 이를 비선형 부하를 가지는 배전계통의 전력품질 향상을 위해 "직접" 출력전압 제어 기술을 적용하였다. 1선 지락 사고시에 본 논문에서 제시한 방법을 이용한 시뮬레이션을 통해 전압 파형이 개선되고, 고조파가 감소되며, 선로 전압 조정을 할 수 있음을 보였다.

  • 여러 분산 발전 시스템으로 구성된 마이크로그리드는 계통 연계 모드에서 부하의 수요에 담당하게 되고, 계통 사고가 발생할 시 독립 운전 모드로 동작을 해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 독립운전 모드 동작 시 제어 방식 중에서 유, 무효 전력제어를 통한 적절한 전력 분담을 실현하기 위한 드룹제어 방식을 다룬다. 이 방식은 선로 임피던스가 복합 성분으로 구성되어 있거나 불 평형 일 경우 여러 문제로 유,무효 전력 분담의 오차를 발생 시킨다. 이에 대하여 가상임피던스를 추가함으로써, 복합적 불 평형 임피던스에 기인한 유,무효 전력 분담의 오차를 해결 하여, 시스템의 유,무효 전력 분담을 개선 하고자 하였다. 또한, 비선형 부하 시 고조파의 문제를 비례-공진 제어기를 이용하여 고조파를 저감 할 수 있도록 하였다. 이에 PSIM 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 검증하였다.

  • In this paper, we proposed a novel true time-delay (TTD) feeder for phased array antennas (PAAs) using fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) and fibers coated with Cr/Au film. This structure requires less number of FBGs than the previously proposed FBG TTD feeders since one FBG is replaced with a metal film reflector in a strand of optical delay line connected to each antenna element and also provides the flexible wavelength selection since the metal film shows wide reflectance spectrum. A TTD for 10 GHz linear PAAs capable of steering beams in three different directions at 0$^{\circ}$and $\pm$30$^{\circ}$has been built. Experimental results on time delays are in good agreement with those calculated at all the steering angles. A 10 GHz linear array antenna with eight antenna elements red from the proposed TTD has been designed and the far-field radiation pattern or this antenna has been obtained by simulation.
