With the hubbing strategy, construction of "Incheon Airport Railroad(AREX)" was proceeded to expand the accessibility at the level of airports in rivalry like Kansai and Chek Lap Kok. At the present 1st phase which routes from Incheon Airport to Kimpo Airport is opened March 2007. 2nd phase which is planned from Kimpo Airport to Seoul station will be opened at the end of October 2010. But the accessibilty to AREX is delinquent because it is connected only in Seoul station and the maximum operation speed is 110km/h which downgrade the time competitiveness with airport limousine. In addition, transfering of user is necessary to access to AREX from Kyungbu KTX. With these reasons, travel demand in 1st phase section is low(7%). According to reestimation of travel demand, demand analysis result compared with convention condition is insufficient, so required annual average government grant-in-aid amounts to 200 billions won, and it is right time to develop the method for revitalization of Incheon airport railroad. In this paper, facilities plan and operating plan to make new travel demand by speed-up which is able through substitution train now running with high speed train(EMU, 180km/h) and direct connection of KTX, will be suggested. This will contribute to offering high speed railroad service to customers and the reduction of government grant-in-aid by way of demand expansion.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the role and performance of Seongdong-gu Educational Welfare Center in Seoul and to find practical ways of future direction of the educational welfare center. For this study, we collected data on social welfare organizations related to the education welfare center project and working professionals working in schools, and analyzed the data using Focus Group Interview. As a result of the study, it was shown that the role of educational welfare center and the role of important bridge such as integrated case management and program support through smooth mediation and linkage among educational welfare performing agencies were carried out. This study is important for the first time in the academic papers in that it has studied practically the achievement and future development of the educational welfare center. In future research, Various studies will be needed.

서울 도심의 인적 운송수단의 중심에 있는 지하철 $1{\sim}8$호선의 차량 객실조명과 지하철 역사 조명을 조사하여 현재의 조명환경을 파악한 후 각 호선별 지하철 차량의 객실 조도와 휘도를 측정하고 지하에 위치한 역사의 조도를 측정하여 분석하였다. 또한 역사의 기준등급을 환승역은 A등급, 일반역은 B 등급으로 적용하여 기준조도를 선정하였으며 현재의 측정 조도와 사용광원을 검토하여 에너지절약 및 지하철의 조명환경개선을 연구함으로써 이용객에게 쾌적하고 안락한 지하철 조명 환경을 만들고자 한다.

서울대 물리교육과에서 마이크로웨이브 소자에 관한 공동연구를 위해 지난 98년 12월 한국에 온 중국 과학자 Baoju Jia박사는 현재 박건식 교수팀과 함께 광대역에서 전자파를 발생하는 진행파관에 대한 연구를 계속하고 있다. 91년부터 중국전자과학기술대 교수로 재직해온 Baofu Jia박사는 "한국에서는 중국과는 달리 대부분의 연구과제가 일상생활과 밀접한 관계가 있어 연구결과를 시장에 쉽게 연결할 수 있는 장점이 있다."고 말한다.

본고는 지난 5월 28일부터 30일까지 ‘아카데미 하우스에서 열린 아세아 태평양 지역 도서관 국제회의에 참석하고 귀국한 중국대표 장동철(Mr. Daniel T.C. Chang=대만 국립중앙도서관 부관장)씨가 본 도협 최근만 사무국장 앞으로 보내 온 6월 25일자 대북 ’대화만보‘사설로 게재한 ’간한국저면경자‘의 역이다. 국제회의를 전후로 약 일주일간 서울에 체류하면서 많은 자료를 수집해 간 바 있는 씨는 대한중 도서관계를 위시, 서울의 약진상을 보고 심히 감명하면서 자국민도 한국의 인상에서 다음 여섯 가지 점은 꼭 본받아야 할 것이라고 강조한 바 있다. 다음 글은 동 사설의 내용이다.

빼곡히 들어찬 마천루 속 서울 하늘 아래. 그 한복판에 전통과 현대가 어우러진 북촌이 자리해 있다. 특히 도심 속 북촌이 더욱 빛나는 이유는 바로 사람들이 살고 있는, 여느 다를 바 없는 삶의 현장이기 때문이다. 어디부터 어디까지 선을 그어 한옥마을로 지정해놓은 게 아니라, 동시대를 사는 사람들이 함께 살 부대끼며 살고 있는 곳이다. 추운 날, 멀리 나갈 것도 없다. 전통과 현대가 어울린 독특한 멋과 매력에 빠지고 싶다면 지하철 3호선 안국역 3번 출구에서 찬찬히 출발해보자.

도시지리학은 도시사회학으로, 또한 공간경제학의 측면에서 계통화되어가고 있음에도 불구하고, 우리나라에서는 2, 3의 지리학자에 의하여 도시분류를 시도하는 단계에 있고, 일부 사회학자에 의하여 토지이용, 지역배치 등이 개척되었으나 도시구조에의 approach는 미흡한 면이 많다. 근래 지역개발이 고창되고 도시화에 따르는 제문제를 해결하려는 노력의 일환으로 여러 분야에서 많은 실적이 발표되어가고 있다. 본고은 이와 같은 시점에서 도시문제해결의 제1수단이 되는 도시역, 도심, 폭도심의 형성, 구심과 난심등에 걸쳐 서울의 예를 들어 조사분석을 시도하였다.

한국데이터베이스진흥센터와 조선일보사가 공동 주최하고 체신부가 주관한 제2회 서울국제데이터베이스 쇼 및 세미나를 개최하였다. 작년에 이어 두번째 개최한 이번 행사는 이 행사의 일환으로 '인포메이션 수퍼 하이웨이'라는 주제로 국내외 데이터베이스 전문가를 초청하여 '국제데이터베이스 세미나'를 개최하였다. 이날 세미나에 발표된 내용으로는 CD-ROM과 데이터베이스, 국가행정전산망과 데이터베이스, 지역정보화와 데이터베이스, 데이터베이스와 THESAURUS, 정보고속도로시대에 있어서 데이터베이스의 역할, 멀티미디어 국내시장 현황,, 공공 데이터베이스개발을 위한 제언, 데이터베이스 시연등으로 주제가 발표되었다.

지난 2004. 3. 30 오전 10시 서울역 광장에서 고건 현 대통령 권한대행과 강동석 건설교통부 장관, 각계인사 등 1,800여명 참석한 가운데 경부고속철도 개통식이 거행되었다. 경부고속철도의 개통이 국민소득 20,000불 시대, 다함께 잘사는 새로운 대한민국을 향해 나아가는 뜻 깊은 계기가 될 것이며 우리 국민생활을 반나절 생활권으로 단축시키고 21세기 우리가 만들어갈 번영의 기반이 될 것이고 고속철도가 우리에게 가져다주는 속도의 혁명이 국토종합개발 및 균형발전을 촉진하고 우리 국민이 풍요롭게 잘사는 사회 구축의 견인차 역할을 다 할 것이다.(중략)

The study intends to identify the effects of infrastructure property on an apartment house by analyzing the price variation affected by factors constituting the quality of the transit services of each individual station in urban railway system based on hedonic price model. The research findings indicate that the prices depending on the transit users have increased from 7.8% to 12.2% in Seoul and decreased from 6.1% to 12.9% in Gyeonggi, which implies that a lower number of transfer users has a positive effect on housing prices in Seoul unlike Gyeonggi. It also is noteworthy that the distance to the urban railway station had a negative effect on housing prices in Seoul and positive effect in Gyeonggi. Taking these results together, in Seoul, the increase in the number of transit users had a negative effect on neighborhood housing prices. When analyzed by segments, however, an additional negative effect was observed only in the apartments located within the radius of 100 meters. It is also found that the impact of transit users varies according to the regional characteristics, such as the density of commercial facilities and the population density, and the spatial extent of negative effect also showed regional differences. These results provide implications for the planning of new stations, new cities, and land use of existing areas around stations.
