A Study on Utilization and Perceived Service Quality of the University Foodservice (대학급식 이용실태 및 급식서비스 품질이 고객만족과 고객태도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigated the efficiency of university foodservice operations by analyzing the effect of consumer's perception towards university foodservice quality. University students in the Jeonnam area were surveyed and 571 out of 700 surveys were chosen (response rate: 97.0%). SPSS (ver. 20.0) was used to conduct descriptive analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, and multiple regression analysis. The results show that 21.9% of university students have never used the university foodservice, while 48.7% of university students have eaten there 1~2 times per week. The most common reasons reported for avoiding the university foodservice were a limited menu selection (51.5%) and an untasty food (45.8%). The perception of overall service quality at the university foodservice scored relatively low (3.01 points), compared with its importance (3.89 points). The food taste, menu variety, and quality of food ingredients are factors that require improvement for operational strategies by the importance-performance analysis (IPA). The food factors (taste, variety, and quality) among university foodservice qualities had a significantly positive effect on consumers' overall satisfaction (p<0.001), perceived value (p<0.01), intent to recommend (p<0.001), and intent to revisit (p<0.01). These result indicate that the university foodservice management should focus on developing food factors and strive to meet the needs of university students through continuous customer surveys.

An Analysis of Perceptual Differences between Shippers and Operators for Service Quality of Frozen and Refrigerated Warehouses (냉동·냉장창고 서비스품질 향상을 위한 화주사 및 운영사의 인식차이 분석에 관한 연구)

  • The factors for service quality improvement of frozen and refrigerated warehouses are derived and the differences in perception about service quality improvement between shippers and operators of frozen and refrigerated cargos are analyzed. The objective of this study is to propose quality improvement measures for frozen and refrigerated cargo services using the importance-performance analysis (IPA). As a result, 15 analysis factors were derived. It was found through independent sample t-test that there is no difference in perception about quality improvement between shippers and operators. Furthermore, four top priority investment areas were derived from the IPA: maintaining temperature and humidity, securing variable storage space, on-time stocking and releasing, and providing information service. Meanwhile, inventory management service ability, on-time stocking and releasing, and reliable cargo storage ability needed urgent improvement. This study has industrial implications in that it proposes practical improvement measures for service quality improvement.

Comparative Analysis of User's and Library Staff's Perceptions on the Library Service Quality of the Information Commons in the National Digital Library of Korea (국립중앙도서관 디지털도서관 정보광장의 서비스품질에 대한 이용자와 직원의 인식 비교분석)

  • This study tries to survey general behaviors of the users and their's perceptions on the service quality, with the staff members' expectations, of the Information Commons in the National Digital Library of Korea. 'Computer Cluster,' 'User guide service' and 'Internet information' are most used and general facilities, services, and contents are most satisfied. The comparative analysis shows that the customers' perceptions of overall satisfaction, customer loyalty, and service quality and overall satisfaction of each three primary dimensions(library staff, resources and services, facility and physical environment) are higher than those of staff members' expectations.

  • Although there are usual security threats caused by the characteristics of cloud services, more public institutions plan to introduce the cloud services rapidly, as the increase of recognition for its advantage. The previous studies have focused on the security threats and the quality as a hindrance of activation of cloud services. Those also have stressed the importance of the quality in the cloud user side. But there was no consideration about which quality factors impact on the satisfaction of users. Therefore, this study analyzed the importances of quality in specific five major factors. The results also presented that the SLA guarantee is more important than the security performance. This research will contribute to cloud services providers in Korea, by aiding the establishment of effective quality strategies.

  • Situation awareness services which increasingly expand their influence in everyday life can be classified into location-based service and social network service. Their quality of service (QoS) can be differed based on the location accuracy of smart phones and accuracy of directional recognition technology. This study was conducted to analyze GPS, digital compass, radio communication, and geospatial web information which can provide a clue in using the situation aware services based on lab experiments and surveys. According to the result of lab experiment on accuracy of determining location / direction with smart phones, owing to inherent lack of indoor accuracy in determining position and direction, as well as errors in spatial data used as platform, it was found that devices were not provided with sufficiently accurate data when using the situation aware services indoors compared to outdoors. To enhance accuracy of determining indoor positions, there are several methods including location metering based on Wi-Fi, which had several problems compared with GPS used in outdoor environment. Thus, it was determined that more study would be necessary to solve these issues.

  • 오늘날의 병원들은 환자가 의료기관을 선택하는 구매자 시장으로 변하게 되었고, 군 병원도 2004년부터 현역병의 의료보험적용이 가능해지면서 민간병원처럼 선택 받아야 하는 위치에 놓이게 되었다. 그러므로 군병원도 민간병원의 흐름과 함께 병원 이용고객들이 인식하는 의료서비스 품질, 고객만족도 및 고개충성도에 대한 관심이 필요하다. 따라서 정과 중심의 SERVPERF모델을 이용하여 지각된 군 병원의료 서비스 품질과, 고객만족 및 충성도에 관한 연구로 빠르게 변하고 있는 의료서비스 환경에서의 국민으로부터 신뢰를 받으며 군 의료서비스품질의 발전 방안을 모색하기 위해 본 연구를 시도하였다.

  • This study is a exploratory research to develop standard measurement for service quality of public libraries through extracting common factors for them. It suggests that service quality of public libraries can be divided into three primary dimensions interaction of personnel, library resources and programs, physical environment and facilities and each dimensions be several sub-dimensions. It also suggests a third-order factor mode for public libraries' service quality based on the above dimensions and testifies it through exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis.

  • The purpose of this study was to figure out the structural relations between service quality perceived by golf driving range customers, service value, customer satisfaction, and repurchase behavior. For the subject of this study, we selected 374 persons among customers who used 8 golf driving ranges located at 'P' Metropolitan city, 'U' Metropolitan city, or 'C' city in 'K' do through the Convenient Sampling Method. The results were as follows: First, the golf driving range's service quality has a positive effect on the service value. Second, the golf driving range's service quality has a positive effect on the customer satisfaction. Third, the service value has a positive effect on the customer satisfaction. Fourth, the service value has a positive effect on the repurchase behavior. Finally, the customer satisfaction has a positive effect on the repurchase behavior.

An Investigation on the Importance of Delivery Food Service Quality using AHP (AHP를 이용한 배달음식 서비스품질의 중요도 조사)

  • This study sought to find importance factors for the quality of delivery food service, identify the mutual importance of delivery food service quality studied in the preceding study, and derive the order of importance of each factor. To compare the priorities of factors determining the choice of quality of delivery food service, this study used a decision model using the appropriate Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and carried out the process of quantifying the mutual evaluation. This process allows us to view the relative importance and priority of the selection factors. Through a prior study, the main factors of quality of delivery food service were classified and the main people of high importance were selected. According to the results of AHP the quality of deliver service is the main factor for the quality of delivery food service, and the quality of order service and food service is the key factor of the quality of delivery food service, which should take the upper hand in importance. This study results in how important specific factors are by giving relative self-weights to the lower factors, showing that convenience and accuracy always have the first and second place weight priorities in the lower factors, despite differences such as gender age and frequency of making them more convenient and accurate.

  • It can be said that nowadays, customers don't recognize that only good quality products as selection attribute regarding products quality can satisfy them. The case in service industries is also the same. Service quality is most affected by the criteria that customers themselves evaluate. Customers who are not satisfied with services provided institutions will disregard them. In consequence, this will affect their profitability. Collected questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS v.15 for the concrete proof analysis and the results are as follows. First, Service quality works as an important factors on customer's behavior. Second, Relationship quality serves as a mediated role between service quality and customer's behavior.
