A Comparative Study on e-Learning Satisfaction between Korea and China (한국과 중국의 이러닝 만족도에 관한 비교연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of e-learning quality and learner's usage motivation on e-learning satisfaction in Korea and China. In addition, by comparing and analyzing the factors influencing the satisfaction of learners between the two countries, this study aims to suggest the effective use of e-learning. This study surveyed Korean university students at Y and K universities in Gyeongsangbuk-do and Chinese university students at A university in Henan, China. As a result, for Korean university students, it is showed that learning time, learning space, learning process, usefulness, e-learning information quality, and service quality affect e-learning satisfaction. For Chinese university students, learning time, learning process and e-learning system quality, information quality, and service quality were found to affect e-learning satisfaction. Among them, service quality was an important factor influencing e-learning satisfaction in both countries, but the average score of each factor was very low. In the future, we discussed ways to improve service quality.

  • 유비쿼터스 환경에서 러닝 서비스는 언제, 어디서, 어떠한 물리적 장치에 구애받지 않고 사용자에게 적절한 서비스를 제공할 수 있어야 한다. 그러한 u-러닝 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 학습자 수준을 정확히 판단할 수 있는 진단 기법이 필요하다. 또한 u-러닝 서비스에서 학습자의 학습 환경을 정확히 파악하여 이에 적절한 형태의 학습 컨텐츠를 제공하는 학습 컨텐츠 적응화 기술도 요구된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 온톨로지 모델링을 이용하여 학습자의 프로파일과 학습 컨텐츠를 모델링하고, 모델링된 프로파일 정보와 컨텐츠 정보를 온톨로지 추론 규칙을 정의함으로서 학습자의 학습 정보를 정확히 파악하고 학습자에게 적절한 학습 컨텐츠를 제공할 수 있는 온톨로지 모델링과 추론을 기반으로 유비쿼터스 환경에서 학습자의 정보와 각 이종 디바이스에 대해 적합한 학습 컨텐츠를 제공할 수 있는 u-러닝 시스템을 제안한다.

  • Social learning is a new study model of future knowledge information society. In different existing study, it lay stress on individual activity and collaborative study with others. It is useful to apply social media services to build social learning platform for collaborative study. In my paper, after existing social media services and social platforms are investigated and analyzed, an effective social learning platform applyng social media services is presented. Also differences and superiority compared to other social platforms is presented through new social learning platform architecture and screen design.

  • This research proposed the method for application of SCORM in U-learning system. That is, I proposed the API broker to connect between U-learning and API Instance of RTE that is existing SCORM based learning object interface environment. The API broker operated handling process using request port and response port between SCORM and U-learning server. For efficient operation in each service, this system has learning contents service buffer in API broker.

  • Nowadays, within the paradigm shift of e-learning, MOOCs service has been expanded among a number of global leading universities and this has affected our domestic universities' e-learning to look for different possibilities and new challenges. In consideration of our domestic educational condition, it is required to contemplate how university e-learning can be changed and developed with focus on MOOCs from the perspective of convergence development. This study suggests plans for convergence development in university e-learning based on MOOCs with conceptual model. We conducted the studies on relevant literature of university e-learning and MOOCs, expert consultation, SWOT analysis, survey for those involved of e-learning centers, etc. Through this process, we developed a final plan which integrates 'open advanced education course service', 'teaching and learning curation service', 'teaching and learning practice service', 'creative teaching and instruction method development and sharing service', and 'cloud based educational platform support service', etc with the perspective of convergence development. Also we designed convergence development plan based on MOOCs. It is assumed that the result of this research provides advanced plans for development of university e-learning and the base for further discussion of introduction and application of MOOCs service in domestic university.

A Study on the Prediction Models of Used Car Prices for Domestic Brands Using Machine Learning (머신러닝을 활용한 브랜드별 국내 중고차 가격 예측 모델에 관한 연구)

  • The domestic used car market continues to grow along with the used car online platform service. The used car online platform service discloses vehicle specifications, accident history, inspection history, and detailed options to service consumers. Most of the preceding studies were predictions of used car prices using vehicle specifications and some options for vehicles. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that there was a nonlinear relationship between used car prices and some specification variables. Accordingly, the researchers tried to solve the nonlinear problem by executing a Machine Learning model. In common, the Regression based Machine Learning model had the advantage of knowing the actual influence and direction of variables, but there was a disadvantage of low Cost Function figures compared to the Decision Tree based Machine Learning model. This study attempted to predict used car prices of six domestic brands by utilizing both vehicle specifications and vehicle options. Through this, we tried to collect the advantages of the two types of Machine Learning models. To this end, we sequentially conducted a regression based Machine Learning model and a decision tree based Machine Learning model. As a result of the analysis, the practical influence and direction of each brand variable, and the best tree based Machine Learning model were selected. The implications of this study are as follows. It will help buyers and sellers who use used car online platform services to predict approximate used car prices. And it is hoped that it will help solve the problem caused by information inequality among users of the used car online platform service.

The Empirical Study on the Motivations for e-Learning Service Usage of Smart Device Users (스마트기기 이용자의 이러닝 서비스 사용 동기에 관한 실증적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to test the motivations for e-Learning service usage of smart device users. To do this, empirical data were collected by conducting a field survey with 382 smart-device based e-learners, and structural equation model was used for the purpose of analyzing the data acquired by the survey. A structural equation model was designed and constructed by such factors like usefulness, enjoyment, word-of-mouse(WOM) effect, and social interaction on e-Learning usage intention. In addition, social interaction has an influence on WOM effect. The results of the analysis are summarized as follows; first, usefulness, enjoyment, and WOM have direct effects on e-Learning usage intention. Second, social interaction not only has direct influence on e-Learning usage intention but also has indirect influence carried by WOM effect. The findings have significant implications which the study inquires into the factors for e-Learning usage motivations of smart-device based e-learners.

A Study on the Effect of e-CRM on the Reuse Intention of e-Learning Service (이러닝 서비스의 e-CRM이 재이용의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • This study attempts to verify the effect of e-CRM on reuse intetnion of e-learning and to determine whether the presense mediates the relationship between e-CRM and reuse intetnion of e-learning through empirical analysis. The results of the study are as follows. First, The effect of e-CRM(e-marketing, e-service, e-communication) on the intention of reuse for e-learning services was significant. Second, it was found that the effect of e-CRM(e-marketing, e-service) on reuse intention of e-learning was significantly mediated by the teaching presence. Third, it was found that the effect of e-CRM(e-marketing, e-service, e-communication) on reuse intention of e-learning was significantly mediated by the cognitive presence. Finally, it was found that the effect of e-CRM(e-marketing) on reuse intention of e-learning was significantly mediated by the social presence.

  • 스마트기기의 발달과 보급의 확산과 함께 모바일 인터넷 등 통신서비스 환경이 발전함에 따라 이러닝 환경의 고도화가 진행되면서 유비쿼터스러닝, 모바일러닝을 넘어 스마트 디바이스와 이러닝 연관 신기술이 융 복합된 새로운 형태의 교육 시스템인 스마트러닝으로 발전하고 있다. 하지만 현재 다양한 스마트 디바이스 기반의 스마트러닝 서비스를 통해 교육 콘텐츠를 학습자에게 제공하기 위해서는 기존 이러닝 콘텐츠의 구조 개선이 불가피한 상황이며 콘텐츠의 재사용 가능성, 접근성, 상호운용성, 항구성 및 질적 수월성의 향상을 위한 스마트러닝 표준화가 요구되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 기존 이러닝 콘텐츠를 통한 스마트러닝을 구현하기 위한 방안으로 EPUB 3.0 표준을 활용한 스마트러닝 솔루션을 제안하고자 한다.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the nature of relationship among service quality, customer satisfaction and e-loyalty in e-learning site. In order to achieve the study purpose, survey method was applied. As a result, it was revealed that service quality had significant effects on customer satisfaction in e-learning site. The influential factors of service quality on customer satisfaction included convenience of use, personalization, tangibles, responsiveness, and reliability in e-learning site. In addition, service quality had significant effects on e-loyalty as well.
